The Best!!!

Renee is the best photographer and so amazing to work with!! Renee was quickly responsive to my inquiries, helped with my planning, and her phone calls leading up to the wedding helped me to calm my nerves and make my dream wedding (and dream photos!) come true. She produces such amazing work! The quality of our wedding photos and the quantity of the photos we received were AMAZING! She has a beautiful artistic eye for capturing the best and most sincere moments. I look back at my album and am overjoyed. She was fun to work with on the day of the wedding, and made me and my now husband so comfortable. She also came early on the wedding day to scope out the scene and set a game plan so as the bride, I did not have to worry about or plan a single thing that day. I just got to enjoy! She captured the love and joy that we felt that day. We got gorgeous preview photos very quickly after the wedding before our full album. I would highly recommend her!

Fabulous Family Pictures

Our family had a photo session with Renee just a couple weeks ago. We all had fun, and she took amazing pictures while we were having fun! Her photo session is a seasonal must-have!

Amazing! 10/10!

Renee was my photographer for our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner photos, and wedding photos. I was so happy I found her. She is so talented. The quality of her photos are amazing. She is a pleasure to work with as well. She even schedules time before the wedding to review the wedding day schedule. I would highly recommend her. She captured my wedding day so beautifully. I will always treasure these photos. Lastly she makes quality wedding albums. I can't wait to see mine :)

Breathtaking work.

I hired Renee for my wedding 4 years ago and just hired her again for my husband's 60th surprise birthday party. Her work is amazing and beautiful. She always catches the right moments. Her experience shows in every photo. In addition, her creativity in the post production work is also breathtaking. I just love working with her and Gary. Totally professional and top notch. We had a phenomenal experience with Renee and her team - Gary, Shelby - photographing our rehearsal dinner and wedding. They completely exceeded my expectations in terms of responsiveness, professionalism, and quality (and quantity!) of absolutely gorgeous photos. I admittedly did not make it easy -- I wasn't able to provide a ton of specific guidance regarding the types of photos I was looking for (my only real ask was to avoid too many overly sentimental or corny/romantic shots, as it's just not my style), and yet Renee was able to take that very limited guidance and delivered exactly the types of photos I wanted but wasn't able to clearly articulate. In short -- in addition to her and her colleagues' obvious talent and skill, I was so appreciative of her ability to "read our group" and respond stylistically. I would recommend Renee Michele Photography 100x over.

My husband and I recommend Renee Michele Photography to anyone planning a wedding in the Baltimore or DC area. We met with a few photographers, but Renee blew us away with her professionalism and her portfolio. She immediately put us at ease when we met, walking us through a tentative plan for our wedding day without adding any pressure or unnecessary expenses. She and I spoke over the phone several times leading up to the wedding to map out the timing of our event and had a pre-wedding visit at the church and reception venue.

Renee absolutely delivered. I wanted our wedding photographs to look like the day—classic and natural with as many shots of our family and friends as possible. Her photographs were crisp and everyone looked fantastic without airbrushing or edits. Renee managed to keep our entire wedding party and extended families on task for photographs. Her calming presence and clear expertise guided us through the pre- and post- ceremony sessions. She and her assistant captured everything we asked for and then some—we have nearly 2,000 photographs of the day and some incredible candids of our first married moments and of our friends and family! Although I cannot speak to the wedding albums yet (we’re still narrowing down our favorites), I have been overwhelmed at the quality and beauty of the photographs. Contracting with Renee was a no-brainer for my husband and I, and we recommend her company to anyone who asks.

Having a photographer who would be easy and flexible to work with, capture the emotion and joy of the day, be unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception, and create beautiful images for us to look back on from our special day was extremely important to us. Renee and Gary fulfilled all of the above and more! Planning with Renee was easy and seamless. On the day of the wedding, Renee and Gary were a delight to work with and were able to capture all the moments from our wedding without being obtrusive. We received our images so quickly and they are absolutely stunning! We highly recommend Renee to photograph your special occasion!

There is no question that you should choose Renee Michele to photograph your wedding, you will be incredibly happy, we certainly are! Renee is the best in the business: Her photographs are unmatched for creativity and classic beauty. She knows how to put people at ease, she captures the most flattering angles and she doesn't miss a moment. She's also a pro at photographing children! I wouldn't hesitate to hire Renee again and we look forward to enjoying her photographs for decades to come.

Renee took my engagement portraits in September and I was beyond thrilled with the results! She is so wonderful to work with, very easy going yet totally professional. My fiance and I absolutely loved our engagement photos (especially the candid ones!) and we highly recommend Renee to anyone who wants photos that look like they came straight out of a magazine! We loved working with Renée and Gary! They are so fun and easy to work with, always professional while still keeping the mood light. We were so relaxed on our wedding day, knowing they knew the shots we wanted, made sure to get those and had some very creative ideas on ones we never would have thought of. Half the time we didn't even realize they were shooting! They know how to be discrete while doing their job to get candids, and also did a great job of being assertive when needed to get the large, wild, unruly family shots:). We've seen a few sneak peak photos and are thrilled with what they captured of our wedding day!!

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing Renee and Gary are. Their photos are not only beautiful but they are amazing people that make you feel relaxed, make you laugh and make the whole experience amazing. My husband and I had our engagement photos taken with them as well as our wedding photos. Both experiences were amazing. Renee called me and talked through what look I wanted what special shots I wanted and made wonderful suggestions. They are both so talented and creative that when it came to choosing a wedding I knew that I made the best decision. Renee also happened to photograph my engagement as well and they are some of my favorite photos ever!

We can’t possibly say enough wonderful things about Renee! My husband and I spent a lot of time researching photographers and absolutely fell in love with her work. Her photography speaks for itself - it’s incredible! Throughout the entire process, Renee was incredibly easy-going. We often had to reach out to her to coordinate our wedding day itinerary with a few different vendors (and make a ton of changes); she was always quick to respond and very flexible with our timeline. On the big day, our photography was incredibly natural and unobtrusive. I fancy myself a pretty awkward person, so I was sure that over half of the pictures were going to involve me hunched over, mid-unattractive laugh. I never felt like we were being put on the spot, and even hours of pre-wedding photography in mid-90s heat felt just like any other day - we were laughing and enjoying ourselves the whole time! Following the wedding, Renee had a preview for us within days, and our entire album was online much quicker than we expected. Our family and friends still have not stopped gushing over Renee’s photography - it’s stunning!!! There are truly no words that will do it justice, so I’ll stop trying to achieve the impossible. If you are seeking a laid-back, phenomenally-talented and professional photographer, look no further! We already can’t wait to put together an album and to call Renee up for yearly pictures when we have a family of our own. Five stars - she’s the best!!!

Renee photographed our summer wedding and we are so glad that we chose to work with her! Renee and her assistant Shelby were with us all day and they did a great job of capturing all of the special moments and they were very unobtrusive. We also hired Gary to photograph the first part of the day and it was very helpful to have two photographers. I was especially nervous about group and family photos because I have a large family and they can be difficult to wrangle, but Renee and Gary did a great job at directing our large (and chaotic) group to get great photos. Renee was also very good at keeping us on our tight timeline so that I didn't have to worry about it. We are so thrilled with the photographs and we are happy that we took the time to find a wonderful photographer!

When it came to finding the best photographer for us, we had 3 things in mind:

1) Since the wedding photographer is NOT a good place to be cheap, we wanted the right balance between paying well, but not blowing half our budget.

2) We wanted a REAL photographer. And by real photographer, I mean someone who knows the art of a great photo. Things like lighting, composition, timing, connection, etc. Not just someone who takes your pictures and your money.

3) But above all, obviously, we wanted someone who would deliver beautiful images. Ones that would capture a little smile here, a quiet moment there. Photos that 30 years from now would make us feel just like we were right back on that day.

And that's why we hired Renee.

The wedding day was clockwork and easy. From the moment Renee and her team showed up (super punctual and shooting within minutes) they were professional, swift, and stealth. Unobtrusive, yet good at directing when needed. We could easily tell they knew what they were doing, and confident that they were getting all the shots we paid for.

The final images were everything we hoped they would be -- A perfect mix of spontaneous laughs, photojournalistic moments and gorgeous portraits. I would definitely recommend her to anyone, especially to someone who really values documenting the day the right way, and realizes that such a huge responsibility should only be left to the best.

Renee and Gary are amazing! Renee met with me before my wedding to help me scout out the perfect place for my "first look" with my husband. She really took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for. She was extremely flexible when I changed my mind about particular details and just generally very accommodating and easy to work with. On the day of our wedding, Renee and Gary helped put us at ease. They also kept us smiling and having fun, which was awesome. They are incredibly talented and creative. When Renee sent me the online link to the finished photos, I was blown away. I cried, I laughed, and I sorted through all of the pictures again and again, finding it impossible to pick favorites. I love how they captured the special moments of our day so perfectly!

After six months of planning every detail of the wedding, the big day finally came and in a flash, it was over. Renee Michele was the wedding photographer we chose to capture the special day and she was amazing. We wanted to be married outside, under the stars on our farm surrounded by the land, animals (horses dogs, cats, and chickens too) friends, and family we loved. Faced with the manychallenges of an outdoor wedding, Renee did an amazing job.

The pictures arrived 6 weeks later and every special moment of the wedding celebration came flooding back. Not only had Renee captured the mood of the day, she alsocaptured the personalities of our friends and family, and most importantly, our love for each other. Renee’s artistry was evident in every picture and we will cherish the photographs of our wedding day throughout our lives.

Our photographs turned out amazing! Renee and Gary are great to work with each step of the way, and their work styles really compliment each other. They did a great job catching special moments. The photographs show our entire wedding day, and the happiness that we, our family, and our guests felt throughout the day is seen through the pictures. I am THRILLED with Renee's photographs of our wedding! Her work is amazing, and she and her team captured wonderful photos of us at each stage throughout the day - getting ready before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and at the reception. She also got some of the best candid photographs I could have imagined! Renee is a quiet and calming presence, and I immediately felt comfortable with her from our first meeting. This carried forward to our big day - I almost didn't even know she was there because she worked so effectively without being obtrusive. I really appreciated this because I wanted to enjoy every minute of the wedding and reception without feeling like I had to run off every few minutes to pose for a picture. I would very, very highly recommend Renee to any brides looking for a photographer in the D.C. or Maryland areas. Renee was not only friendly and responsive, but she was also a fantastic combination of professional yet fun, and creative yet classic. She traveled to our wedding destination without hesitation and stayed longer than expected the night of the wedding to capture every moment. Our photo proofs were sent to us in a very timely manner and she was sure to communicate with us through every aspect. The photographs are better than something out of a magazine! Leon and I don’t have enough words to thank Renee for the magical wedding pictures she gave us! It was such a wonderful experience, she was so patient and fun!! Renee is awesome! We had Renee do our engagement pictures and she made us feel very comfortable considering how camera shy we are. She did an excellent job directing us since we aren't the most natural in front of the camera. She is very professional and reasonably priced. We had our pictures back within 5 weeks and she's even making a slideshow for us that I know will turn out just as perfect as everything else did. We have so many wonderful photos both candid and posed from our engagement shoot and wedding day, we absolutely love them! We will definitely be using Renee for when we have children. We highly recommend Renee, she's the best!!!

We knew we wanted quality with our photographer, so we picked Renee based on her website photographs and reviews. She lives up to the expectations in every way. She's friendly, accommodating, and delivers fantastic photographs that capture your wedding as a beautiful event. We had problems getting with her to plan our album, but Renee worked with us, even seeing us on a holiday. We just gout our album last week, and its everything we hoped for. It tells our wedding day story, and is absolutely gorgeous from the outer design to the page layout and touch-ups. If the price seems high, think of Renee's services as the longest lasting wedding gift you can give you and your spouse.

Renee Michele's photography is exquisite. I gasped everytime I turned the page in my wedding photo album - her ability to capture emotional moments and the quality of her work was breathtaking. Renee's portfolio is on par with photographers in the $6K range, I think. She has a great eye for natural light, and her genuine excitement about capturing my husband and me at our best made us feel confident and at ease. She and both of her assistants were extremely professional and courteous--even making sure we had food to eat and brining me a wrap when the weather turned cold. She even brought her own hangar to photograph the dress before I put it on! I would recommend her to anyone looking for candid shots--for a wedding or for portraits (we also had our engagement photos with her, which was tons of fun!!).

We met with many photographers... some that we really hesitated about and one that we felt could be the one. We trusted our gut and chose Renee Michele because of her artistic ability and warm personality. She asked questions about us and our personalities so that she could tailor our sessions to reflect who we are. On our wedding day, Renee was a calming force. We knew she would take good care of us. There was a lot going on in Washington, DC, on this particular day, but we trusted that she would be there on time (she was early) and that she would capture the day beautifully. She is very creative and thinks outside of the box. When we received our photos (engagement and wedding), we were surprised by and very pleased with the photos she took. Her photography is classic and I know that 20 years from now we will look at our wedding photos and NOT say to ourselves,"what were we thinking?"

Renee's photos are absolutely STUNNING. She and her assistant were fabulous the entire day. They were never in the way, were flexible and accommodating when we made last minute requests for group photos. They were excited that we wanted the family dogs in the photos too and made the experience more fun.

The quality of Renee's prints is amazing. The DVD / High resoulution disk is great because we can edit and continue printing our own photos. We can't wait for our album to arrive because we know that will be spectacular too. Renee Michele Photography is the best! We will be going back to her for future photos too.

My daughter and I hired Renee to photography her wedding (7/24/2010). Being a bit of a photog wantabe, I thought this would be one task I could get involved in and stay out of trouble. Luckily my daughter is a planner and started searching for photographers months in advance. After talking to a few, we met with Renee, reviewed her work and quickly decided to book with her. We never questioned our decision. Despite my daughter's nervousness, I had Renee shoot some engagement photos – both because “Dad” wanted them and I wanted the couple to get to know Renee. Not only did we get some great shots, but my daughter and fiancé had a great time doing it! This just confirmed we made the right choice.
Despite record breaking temperatures, the wedding went off as planned and Renee and her assistant did a fantastic job of capturing the day! We couldn’t be more pleased with the pictures – they were amazing. Renee has a wonderful, stress-free demeanor (boy, it’s no easy job) and was a joy to work with. Her professionalism and sense of humor made her a “welcomed guest” to a joyous event. I cannot recommend anyone more highly – 5 stars all the way!

There are not enough words to describe how much we loved working with Renee (and Gary...and Gladys). She's artisitc, creative and willing to always go the extra mile. When planning our engagement photos, Renee was flexible and full of suggestions. I knew what I wanted...after researching, and never had to compromise - Renee was perfect! She even got my husband to enjoy taking pictures. He enjoyed every minute ... which is a big step for someone who hates being the center of attention. I would recommend Renee for anything and everything.

Renee wa a pleasure to work with. Not only was she professional and prompt with reponses, she offered her artistic and creative talents without sacrificing my own vision of the pictures. Her ability to capture the emotions and excitement of the day are definitely reflected in my pictures. I would highly recommend Renee.

Renee is an excellent photographer. We were thrilled with the photos we received. She was easy going and flexible throughout the planning process, and totally relaxed on the day of our wedding. She came up with some great ideas for various shots that turned out to be incredible when we saw the proofs. She captured so many wonderful moments without being intrusive, and made sure that we got important shots that she knew we wanted. She has an amazing eye for creating shots that tell a story of the day and instantly make us re-live all of the wonderful moments from our wedding day. We would highly recommend working with Renee, she is an exceptional photographer and we couldn't have picked a better person to capture all of the memories from our special day.

We could not of had a better photographer for our wedding. Despite our time crunch and family needs, she exceeded all of our expectations by providing us with timeless, beautiful photos that captured every memory of the day. I felt like I did not see her and her assistant the entire day, but by the end she told me they took over 1600 shots...I was amazed! Our pictures alone tell the story of our wedding, portraying all the words and emotions of the day.

Renee Michele is wonderful to work with in her ability to be extremely accommodating and very thorough all while being so nice and pleasant. In addition, her package prices are the most reasonable in the area...believe me, I did my research!

Renee was one of my favorite vendors to work with. Not only was she lovely and easy going, but an amazing professional and so talented!! My favorite moments from the wedding, the ones three years l still look back at with fondness, were those she captured without my even knowing she had done so.

Renee (and her husband/assistant) are amazing! She was a joy to work with, and took lots of time to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. She traveled to Philadelphia for our wedding and took lots of time to get to know our venue before beginning to shoot. Her photos were even better than we had hoped- and the album she made is amazing. Everything she does is highly individualized and it shows. Everyone who looks at our pictures is stunned by how wonderful they are, how well they captured the day, and, most of all, how much they reflect both of our personalities. I recommend her to everyone!

We could not have been happier with our experience. Her photos were beautiful and captured the day exactly how was hoped to remember it. She was receptive to some specific requests we had and blended everything in seamlessly with her style. She worked closely with us to schedule out the day and met each deliverable expectation she set.

Renee was a fabulous photographer! When we were looking for photographers, we really wanted someone who was relaxed and able to capture candid shots. For us, it was important to capture the feeling of our wedding as well as some of the portraits that we wanted - but we didn't want to be sitting for pictures for hours! She and her assistant were able to capture all of the details and we loved our wedding photos! In fact, we just sat down with her to review our wedding album layout and not only did she tell the story of our day beautifully but she also had some great recommendations re: extra pictures to incorporate into the album that I didn't even think of selecting. Renee is fantastic and worth talking to!

Renee is a wonderful photographer. She took absolutely stunning photos for our engagement and wedding photos. We received so many compliments! Renee knows how to take flattering shots and catch beautiful lighting. She is quite artistic and some of her shots look like a real work of art. I highly recommend Renee!

My husband and I were so lucky to have Renee as our photographer. She was exceptional. We met with a bunch of photographers prior to our wedding, there always seemed to be something off with everyone we met. Whether it was their personality, their photography style, or even their editing. We were so relieved after our first meeting with Renee. She had everything we were looking for in a photographer.
She spent a bunch of time with us in the freezing cold for our engagement session going around looking for various spots that would make for great photos and it was well worth it. The pics of the engagement session came out great. We received all kinds of compliments on all of the photos that we had displayed around our wedding venue.
For the wedding she was also amazing. She captured some great moments of our guests, our wedding party, and of course us. She always made us feel very comfortable and got a lot of shots I didn't even realize she was taking. All of the guests loved her and her assistant. We heard nothing but great things about their professionalism and great personalities from all of our guests. If you are looking for someone with a great personality, a very high level of professionalism and of course an amazing eye for photography you will not be dissappointed with Renee

We worked with Renee for both our engagement session as well as our ceremony/reception. She was wonderful to work with. For our scheduled engagement photo session, rain was in the forecast so we decided to reschedule. Renee was very flexible, rescheduled with short notice, and still accommodated our tight schedule. Renee made us to feel comfortable, and as if it was just another day walking around DC. During the ceremony/reception she knew exactly what to do and was very prepared and creative with some of the shots. We had a Catholic wedding and she still took great pictures within the church restrictions. We also think Renee did a great job being "unnoticed." Besides the staged shots during the cocktail hour, we did not really notice that photos were being constantly taken. She did a great job capturing all the events and emotions of the wedding. Renee took thousands of shots and we had many options to choose from for our engagement photos. We didn't even have to choose from among the thousands for the wedding--we got to keep copies of them all.

Overall, we highly recommend Renee. You will not regret choosing her as your photographer!

Choosing Renee to be our photographer was by far the best thing we did for our wedding. Her incredibly ability to put everyone at ease meant that my husband (who wanted to have no photographer and no pictures of the event at all), completely relaxed and excited for the pictures. Her uncanny ability to be everywhere and to organize everything, meant that we didn't have to worry about a thing. And her incredible eye for details and lighting meant that we have pictures that truly reflect the joy of our wedding. We loved Renee's work so much that she took the pictures for my sister's wedding as well; and we now consider her a part of the family!

My wedding was yesterday and Renee was great! She arrived early and got to work quickly. I can't wait to see the fantastic pictures she took. She has great ideas and made she she took all the pictures I requested. The photo guest book she made was awesome and long! She is a tad on the expensive side, but her photography is amazing and I personally feel that if you want great pictures than the price is right.

They say the photographer is important...totally true, along with most of the other stuff "they say." It's a few months after our wedding and the memories fade SO fast. Renee's amazing photos mean more to me every passing day because not only are they beautiful and artistic, but she did such a fantastic job CAPTURING the emotion, the mood, the scene, etc. My husband and I interviewed 3 other photographers, but we just knew immediately after meeting with Renee that she was the one for us. Renee is very laid back, very professional, and exhibits the perfect balance of telling you what she needs to get the best pictures, but also not directing or interjecting in a way that makes you feel like a prop at your wedding. Our formal portraits were easy and natural, and I never even noticed her the rest of the night. She must have been all over the place judging by the pictures, but I never saw her! We couldn't be happier with our photos. A perfect blend of artistic shots, formal portraits for the parents, photo-journalistic style, color, black and white - all of it. The hardest part is selecting the best! I really appreciated having her assistant there too. Not only did she help make the formal portraits more efficient, but she captured some scenes from different angles giving us a more complete capture of the scene. Working with Renee was easy too. She is responsive to emails. And I am really satisfied that her package gets you a lot for your money. I'd recommend Renee to any of my friends and family - she's a talented photographer and a great person to work with on such a crazy day. Thanks Renee!

Not only was I a bride, but I also work as a meeting and event planner for several associations. That said, I had a unique perspective in working with all of my vendors. I still remember the car ride back after we met with Renee--I was so impressed with not only her professionalsim, but also her artistic view and her flexibility. We didn't have to have just black and whites, or just candids, or "just anything". She has an amazingly unique eye that is subtly artistic.

During the wedding she proved to be a calm force. Please don't ever think this is not important--when I found myself getting keyed up over some outdoor shots she looked me right in the eye with an "I've got it, we're good" and I knew I was in the best hands. At the reception she was a virtual ghost, simply blending in with my guests snapping shots.

Post wedding she put together the most amazing book for us. It was so easy for us to go through and she used her artistic eye to tell our story with photos we chose.

Working with Renee was amazing. She was slightly out of our price point, but I am so glad we went with her. She caputered our day in such a special way and was totally worth the few extra dollars. I would reccomend her to anyone.

Our wedding pictures are beautiful! Renee has an eye for great photographs. As we were about to leave our "first look," she spotted a table with a yellow umbrella which was great for our pictures. In fact, they are many people's favorites!

Having just received my proofs for the wedding, I am ecstatic about this choice of photographer. Gary and Renee, the two lead photographers, are awesome to work with (it felt more like hanging out), have interesting ideas for images, and are extremely professional. Their experience and love for their field was obvious and the final product worth the investment. You have to be prepared for a crowd with them as it's a team of 4 - if that will bother you consider it first. But you barely notice - I did not find it a big deal - and the quality is outstanding.

Our wedding pictures are exceptional! Gary and Renee captured the joyous spirit, the important moments and the meaningful details in delightful ways without being given a list. However, we wish we had given them direction on the sequence of the portraits. If they had taken the wedding party first and the bride and groom afterward, we would have been able to enjoy some of the cocktail hour. We also wish we had given them a list of alumni/ae groups -- we dropped that ball. Overall, we are thrilled. Mother-of-the-Bride.

We were so happy with Gary. From our first meeting, throughout the day of the wedding, and finally with the finished product, we couldn't be happier. We chose not to hire a videographer for our ceremony and reception and because of the photos we received from Gary, we didn't miss having a video. He and his team captured all the emotions associated with a wedding. In fact, we're sorry we didn't hire them for our Friday night party as well.

We loved working with Renee and are so happy with our wedding photos. We were really impressed that she took the time to drive out to our venue with us before our wedding day, since she wasn’t familiar with the space. She was also accommodating of our long list of family photos some particular needs our families had. On the day of the wedding, Renee was prompt, professional and a lot of fun to work with. She made the experience enjoyable, had a calming presence for all of us, and had a great sense of humor for some of the goofy photos we wanted to capture. After the wedding, she was really kind to send us a few sneak peek photos to share with our grandparents who couldn’t be at the wedding. We just got our digital proofs (earlier than expected) and are so happy with the results. I would use Renee again for any photography needs and highly recommend her.

Renee was terrific. She put me at ease on my big day, did not disrupt any special moments, but captured the evening wonderfully! 6 months later I love flipping through my photos - puts a huge smile on my face. Renee worked with our timeline and was very flexible with my request that family portraits take only 20mins after the ceremony, so everyone could make the cocktail hour. She was great!
