We just had our wedding here last weekend, and it was absolutely amazing! Simeen and her husband, on several occasions, went the extra mile for us. I live in CO and got married in MO, so Simeen gave us a venue tour via FaceTime and sent over additional pictures of decor, etc., as we could not see the site in person. When we finally were able to see the site and do a planning walkthrough a few months later, every single question we asked was answered clearly and we left the walkthrough feeling so assured and calm about our choice (it's scary to lock in a venue you've never seen in person!). In the months leading up to the wedding, the owners were super responsive to all my emails and phone calls, and coordinated with several of our other vendors to ensure there were no questions amongst them, either. The day of, the weather could not choose if it would rain, blow everyone away, or cooperate - when we made the call to have several outdoor heaters in case our guests were cold a couple days before, we though we were in the clear. The day of, it was 15F colder than we had anticipated, and John had extra heaters spread throughout the reception area without us having to ask and with no extra notice. They really do look at events through a guests eyes, and what they execute is above and beyond. On top of that, the scenery at the ceremony site is BEAUTIFUL, and the lights at the ceremony/reception site give off fairytale vibes. I cannot stop thinking of how gorgeous it was, and I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat. The staff are just the cherry on top. -

We had a surprise wedding for our 40 guests. The owners John and Simeen helped me every step of the way. Great communication and many options for me to choose from. I even changed my mind a couple times and they were flexible and did whatever they could to make my day special. The private fire pit was a perfect spot. The flat bread pizzas and salad was delicious and the sangria was a big hit with my guests. I appreciate John and Simeen, this was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding. -

We booked this venue over a year out from our date. I worked with John & Simeen throughout my year of wedding planning. I had several visits to the venue during their open hours in the wine garden. I brought several family members, and a couple vendors to meet there for brainstorming and planning. We all had a million questions!!! We spoke over the phone many times. I mostly communicated with Simeen the owner who
is so helpful, flexible, and resourceful. The communication is a 10/10 and Simeen is so kind.
John is always working on the place to make it more beautiful. My family had several request about the space and John went above and beyond to meet our expectations and fix anything or change anything we requested. John is the guy who makes
the whiskey and the wine and his taste is impeccable!! They are both super transparent about everything. Any issues or miscommunications were addressed immediately and they are so easy to work with. They took a lot of stress off of me when it
came down to wedding planning.
The staff is so nice, friendly, and accommodating. Before the wedding we had many afternoons drinking wine and ordering apps. The wedding day itself was hands down the best day of my life. The bar staff was AWESOME!!
My favorite part of my wedding day was the ceremony. It felt like
an actual dream and the venue is stunning. The most fun was dancing during the reception and watching my guests explore the beautiful wine garden. Hardly anyone sat down because of the space being so inviting and the dance floor was full all night because of our awesome DJ! (not because there isn’t enough seating we have 150 guests and everyone had somewhere to sit comfortably). But your guest will want to walk around and check out the space. No waiting and being bored while you take your photos. We had a food truck and I was worried about lines with how many people we had between the bar and the food truck but it was all good!
I love this place it is forever in my heart. I’m so happy I can go back and visit this special place with my husband with anniversaries to come. -

We had the most beautiful wedding at this venue! Every guest was totally blown away how great of a place this is! The owners were great to work with and their employees were fantastic! ❤️ Totally worth a trip out to Foristell Mo. to check this place out! -

So happy!!
We are so pleased. They went above and beyond. Everything was just perfect. And when someone in our party accidentally dropped our personal GF wedding cake, I was is tears. But the venue went above and beyone and ran out and bought us a local GF cake so I had something to cut and eat. I am forever grateful at this kind gesture. -

What a magical day
We got married here October 3rd before word spread and they realized they were underpriced. lol. We not only got an amazing deal and an experience that exceeded our expectations, but we now have a new favorite hangout. This place is magical. We planned our ceremony as the sun was setting, then the patio reception was next level gorgeous once the sun had set and the place was lit up. Owners were very hands on and the staff was great. -

They helped me plan a wedding in 2 weeks time. It was fantastic! Large selection of wine and beer, food was awesome. This venue is beautiful with many small, personal touches. Highly recommend -
John Sent on 09/23/2018Multiple settings for a wedding or event surrounded by woods and a fantastic courtyard. MUST SEE. Large wine AND beer selection with 2 large fire pits and free hayrides during Octoberfest (every weekend of October)! Food is exceptional.

Disappointing Experience and Poor Coordination
Our experience with Renaissance Wine Garden was deeply disappointing. John and Simeen Cook, the owners, do not seem to communicate with each other, and that lack of coordination falls directly onto couples trying to plan their wedding. John made several promises during the tour, only to disappear afterward, and Simeen seemed unaware of everything he had committed to. Instead of working as a team, they left us feeling like their only priority was themselves, not the couple or the event.
For the price, you receive nothing beyond access to the space. There is no help with setup, decorating, or teardown. Every small detail—neon signs, firepit, draping—comes with an additional charge. Access to the venue is extremely limited: ceremony site and suites at 3pm, reception area not until 6pm, and guests cannot enter until 6:30pm. By the time dinner, cake, and toasts are done, you’re left with barely two hours of dancing before everything must end at 10pm, despite the contract stating 11pm. The final hour is reserved for you to clean up because the venue provides no assistance.
We were even told we could access the reception area slightly early, but only if it didn’t “look like setting up,” because customers were present. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming, even though we were paying to be there.
The bar was another point of confusion—Simeen couldn’t clearly explain how it worked. They also advertise onsite catering for groups under 75, yet discouraged us from using it and pushed us toward outside catering instead.
Overall, this venue forces couples to hire additional help for everything, driving costs far beyond what most budgets allow. The lack of flexibility, support, and professionalism caused unnecessary stress and anxiety for both the bride and her mother. I cannot recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding. Due to all the additional stress my daughter had to go find another venue and I have not received any of my deposit back as of yet. The wedding event was 5 months from the date of cancellation.

I find it unethical to be able to review your own business just to try to make your rating averages better. (See review from John which is the owner and took pics, at least try a fake name) 🙄
If it wasn’t for the scenery and the bartender employee being good at their job I would give it 1 star because I know our photographers made due and we will have good photos which was most important to us. Better off going to a venue that includes at least something in the cost of the venue like table/chair setup, don’t make the same mistakes we made. I’m sure they’ll post a long passive aggressive reply to this, but if you want further details I’d happily in depth and can be found on Facebook (Samantha Farley). Photo because if you were actually a couple reviewing you’d include pictures of the day, not ones you take before your business hours. -
