I got married in Alabama in April 2017. Tammy and Jason were exceptional! Not only were they extremely professional throughout the whole process of planning for the event as well as the wedding itself, they were incredibly fun to work with. I personally am not a fan of being in front of a camera and they were able to ease my nerves to capture the day. They are very communicative with the bride and wedding planner (in my case it was my mother). I lived in Baltimore while planning the wedding which made things stressful since I was not in the area every step of the way. Both Tammy and Jason were attentive to my wants/needs and willing to talk to me on the phone for as long as I needed to feel comfortable with the plan. They were flexible as I changed my mind on things. They helped develop a timeline for each event in the wedding (ceremony, after-ceremony pictures, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc) and they helped make sure we stayed on schedule. The photos they took were amazing and they really captured every important moment. I look at the pictures and am able to relive our special day. With Renaissance Portrait Studios you CAN'T go wrong! You truly get more than just someone who takes good photos. They are the total package! I am extremely grateful I was able to get Tammy and Jason for my wedding. I don't know what I would have done without them. I would be happy to talk to any bride who wants to speak to references. Tammy and Jason have my contact information. -

Tammy & Jason were great! We really enjoyed working them for our wedding and engagement photos. They captured every detail of our wedding day and the pictures (all 1300+) turned out great! They were always easy to reach and very responsive. On top of creative ideas for the perfect shot, they were very helpful with all of the timeline planning & suggestions for other wedding details. We felt they went above & beyond a photographer's duty. I would highly recommend Renaissance for any of your photography needs. -

We did a destination wedding in Orange Beach and decided to do casual family pictures the night before the wedding since everyone was going to be in one place at the same time. They had us all laughing and feeling very comfortable. The pictures they took were fabulous. I just got all of the pictures back in less than 2 months. I don't have a single complaint. All of the pictures were beautiful and they did a fabulous job of capturing a lot of blackmail pictures at the reception. The only problem I'm having is choosing what picture I like the best. Love them and the pictures!!!! I would and will definitely use them again. -

Jason and Tammy were the dynamic duo. From day one, they were attentive and answered all of questions. My husband and I are both military (stationed in Alaska) and they made planning the wedding and photos from afar too easy. Jason and Tammy worked with our crunched timeline without a problem and took the time to happily answer all of our questions. They did an amazing job bouncing their ideas and craft off of each other on our wedding day. They encouraged all of our guests laugh and have a good time. They did an especially good job getting our little 2 year old flower girl to interact with everyone and smile for the photos! We had such a blast working with them, and our photographs turned out even better than expected! They also took our engagement shots. For both the wedding and the engagement shots, we got some really cool locations with awesome lighting -they worked hard to make that happen! Would recommend them over and over! We can't say enough about how happy we were with everything! -

Tammy and Jason were absolutely wonderful to work with. They both have such awesome personalities that makes you feel at ease when taking pictures. Both Tammy and Jason are very efficient at what they do, for example they do not waste time trying to think of how to pose you, they know exactly what they want and shoot away. They were able to capture so many different styles of pictures in a short amount of time. Tammy and Jason also work very well as a team, helping one another out with equipment, poses, and bouncing ideas off one another. I highly recommend their services for any occasion. -

I have never had to hire a photographer so finding a professional wedding photographer was a challenge. When my godmother recommended me to them, I called the same day and spoke with Tammy. She was able to walk me through the process and schedule a meeting so we could go over the wedding package. The pricing is great, because it includes engagement, bridal, and wedding shots. They made posing in front of a camera easy, and I could always be relaxed and trust their judgment concerning which shots were purchase worthy. The photos in a wedding are really the only thing you can take with you after the wedding is over besides your spouse and I feel Tammy and Jason provided photos that I can enjoy for me and my husband's lifetime. -

YOU HAVE FOUND THE BEST ON THE GULF COAST!
Tammy and Jason are the most personable yet professional photographer duo you will ever find.
Given my love of photography, my wife put me in charge of finding the perfect photographer for our wedding. We interviewed A LOT of respectable photographers along the Gulf Coast and reviewed just about everyone’s portfolio in detail.
I could not have been happier with our decision. Tammy and Jason have this down to a true art. Tammy has a lot of fun with the babies and making them smile while Jason is scanning the group to make sure people are visible and in flattering positions. They do it so seamlessly. Our formal portraits were a blast! They are so engaging and fun for all three events they did for us. You can tell this is not just a job for them, but they live and love this life.
Their equipment is also top notch. Between the cameras (and backup cameras), the lighting, and their comm system they will not only take great pictures, but help you and the coordinator to make sure your wedding is PERFECT.
Their price is very fair. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best. When your wedding is over and you are sharing stories with your growing family, the photos is what you will have.
Honest to goodness some of the photos we got back could be covers to wedding magazines. I can’t wait to use them again for our baby pictures when the time comes. You know you picked the right vendor when your friends and family are raving about them months after the event... “Worth every penny!”, “Such amazing people.”
Our wedding was perfect and it was in part due to Jason and Tammy.

This vendor is AMAZING!!!! So much fun to work with and they have a keen eye for detail. They were so professional and made sure to keep everything in line with me and my groom during our special day. They had walkie-talkies and everything just to make sure they never missed a shot. Jason and Tammy were phenomenal! Not only were they very talented photographers who took gorgeous photos, but they exhibited the consummate professionalism by responding immediately to my emails, calls and requests. They are extremely creative and not to mention a ton of fun! My husband does not typically like to have his picture taken, but Jason was able to bring out his best with many great shots. They knew my wedding venue inside and out, and were able to move through placement in several locations with ease. Jason and Tammy served as fill in wedding planner at times. Tammy bustled my veil and Jason helped move flowers from my arbor outside to the inside reception. They knew my wedding program and were able to direct the band correctly with my choice of Father/Daughter dance music. Jason and Tammy beautifully captured our most special day so far, with the most special people in our lives. Their photos are truly wonderful pieces of art and I am proud to share them! I can't wait to display some in my home! -

Hiring Jason and Tammy at Renaissance Photography was absolutely the best decision we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, they walked us through the process, the details, the contract, and addressed all concerns we had about hiring a photographer for our most special day. They brought complete professionalism, upbeat attitudes, vision, flexibility, willingness, and provided us with a product that we will enjoy for a lifetime. My husband and I agreed that they were the perfect company and made our wedding a success. Even our wedding party, family and guests commented on their positive and excited nature at the wedding, and the photos.... oh wow. The photos are beautiful, creative, timeless, funny, and absolutely spectacular. They caught every angle of our day in a way we could not have imagined until we saw the photos! I never give reviews unless they are truly earned, and I would recommend Tammy and Jason time and time again to anyone. As far as the cost, they were not the cheapest photographer out there, nor were they close to the most expensive. The money we spent on their work was absolutely reasonable for everything they provided. After receiving such professional work and product from them too, my husband and I agree that this was the best money we spent at our wedding. Have no fear when contacting and using Renaissance Photography! -

Tammy and Jason were perfect. All of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. They took amazing pictures, but made us feel comfortable and never took away from our special day. Jason was our photographer and was wonderful to work with. Photos are a very precious item. You think if my house was to burn how terrible that would be. But, what if a person you loved was no longer with you. Our daughter who was 13 went to school just like any other day. She had school pictures made that day. We got up early to style her hair and her outfit was perfect. That was her last day to attend school. She died. We (Her family & friends) went to scrambleing for pictures from that week's activities at school. Friends went to bringing pictures they had of her. This to us was like her still being with us. We were so thankful for pictures. Do not let a day go by without pictures it may be your last to spend with the people you love. The people at Renaissance Photography know how important this is. -

One of the most important things for my wedding was photography. The work that Jason and Tammy do at Renaissance Portrait's Studio speaks for itself and after meeting with them, my expectations were exceeded. They are a such a pleasure to work with and their work includes great quality, creativity, and passion. Everyone at our wedding loved them and are already wanting to book them for other events. Tammy and Jason MADE our wedding!! Not only were they phenomenal photograhers, but they fulfilled the role of "wedding planners" as well.
Our engagement photo session was a blast! Jason made us feel extremely comfortable and every photo captured the essence of "us". Our pictures turned out very lively and colorful!
Our wedding was at the Botanical Gardens in Mobile. Tammy and Jason went above and beyond our expectations. They work very well together and they are prepared for ANY situation that may arise. They are very professional, their photos are gorgeous, and they are fun people to be around!!
My husband and I highly recommend them. We hope to work with them again in the future!!

Some pictures would have been better quality if TVs were not turned on and captured in the images. In some instances during the event too many repeated shots were taken making it difficult to pick the photo we wanted to order. Images were great quality and loved working with the team! -

We absolutely enjoyed our time with Renaissance Portrait Studio! Planning a destination wedding wasn't easy and the second I talked to Tammy I knew she was the one for our wedding. She was extremely responsive to any questions I had and made me feel extremely comfortable with my decision to hire her for our wedding without meeting her until the day of the wedding. They have wonderful ideas for making my husband and I feel comfortable along with all of our guests. Our guests loved how friendly they were and into our wedding they were. With their great personalities, customer service and friendliness, they made thousands of photos fun to take. I do wish we had more up close pictures, in the moment and different angles of our pictures but that is about all. Definitely recommend to others for the Alabama area.-

Many comments from those within our wedding party and immediate families commented on how relaxed and fun the photographers made them feel. The quality of the pictures from the pre-ceremony to the ceremony itself to the reception were all stunning and the Odom team went above and beyond to capture everything that we wanted - all in 95 degree heat too! -

Tammy and Jason did a fabulous job and are so fun to work with! We really enjoyed each of our sessions with them, unlike many painful photo sessions I've experiened with other photographers. They are extremely high energy and passionate about their work which comes through in their beautiful photos. They are extremely talented as well--Tammy does some really cool graphic work with the photo albums.
The quantity of photos they took at our wedding is unbelievable! We have sooo many photos to choose from and they did a great job of capuring all of the wedding details.

Jason and Tammy are so great. Jason's work is fabulous, he has a way about him that puts everyone at ease when he's taking pictures. He got some great, unexpected shots and you get provided with a proof book that lets you study all of your pictures and choose the ones you want to make into your album. I think ours had something like 2,000 images? They are also put on a website temporarily. Getting the album is slow going, but sooo worth it! Ours is gorgeous and perfectly tells the story of our day. They also make a dvd out of some of the images they take set to music. The only thing I did not like was that I was never able to have my engagement picture session (conflict in scheduling on my part, and then it just got too close to the day of the wedding) and was never refunded that money since it was part of the package. But overall, I would definitely recommend them if you want fabulous pictures! -

There must be something going on
Used Jason for summer family photos at the beach. He was great. We loved working with him. We paid $500. All we wanted were some edited 5x7s . It is February-5 months later and all I have are emails and texts from Tammy saying she has now mailed them 3 times!!! Then she says they have computer issue, lab issues, they are very busy and her mom was sick. The excuses go on forever!
I never had a cross word or contentious situation. We cannot figure out why she is doing this. I texted Jason and asked for a partial refund with no response.
Tammy replied to another review last week and said she would mail them last week. I do not have them! I would never use them again and would not recommend them. They have a lot of good reviews-but something has definitely changed in their business model. -
