personal dress shop
I'm not the typical bride, know exactly what dress I want walking in, etc. Immediately while in Rena, I felt like family and I wasn't wasting anyone's time trying on dresses to make sure I found exactly what I wanted. Also, the woman who helped me would go out of her way to find similar dresses in the style I liked. Not only did I find my dream dress here, it was also BEYOND affordable. Thank you! -

Very reasonable and patient
Rena Elle Couture has extremely beautiful dresses. They work with every budget. And they’re really patient. My dress made me feel like the Belle of the Ball. If you’re looking for an original dress that was made especially for you, this is the place. -

Amazing Bridal Shop
The team at Rena Elle Couture is unmatched in their bridal fashion expertise. They came highly recommended by multiple friends and from the moment we entered the boutique we felt welcomed and celebrated. The wide selection of gowns made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. Arlene and her team were so encouraging while trying on gowns and were flexible and accommodating through every step of our wedding planning journey. Their seamstress, Maria, worked with me to fit my dress perfectly, making me feel so beautiful and confident in my gown. Overall, Rena Elle Couture provided us with the most amazing experience and was the greatest pleasure to work with. -

Excellent selection of dresses and great staff
Here you can pick out dresses to try on from their racks which I preferred. They were helpful to point out styles you might like as well. The first dress I picked turned out to be my dress but there were many other contenders. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had their undivided attention. I fell in love with a Stella York design. I also found my hair piece here. -

I am writing this review almost 2 years after I got my dress and alterations done at Rena Elle (Oct 2015 wedding); however, it is long overdue and my sister getting married last month reminded me that a review is well worth it. First, I will say my review is a true reflection of two people at the dress salon - the salesperson, Christina and seamstress, Marianna that did my alterations. I was not an easy client, I found a Stella York dress that I absolutely loved, but I wanted custom lace added to the bottom. When I called I wanted only to speak with Christina, because she clearly knows her business and always had the information I needed. Next, my custom dress would not have been possible without the extreme talents and miracle work of Marianna. Like your typical bride, I wanted to loose some weight before my wedding, and Marianna worked with me by allowing me the time I needed to drop a few pounds but she also ensured she got my dress done beautifully and on time. Marianna hand sewed the additional appliques that Christina helped me order to the bottom of my dress. Marianna created a custom work of art for me. Thus when my sister started planning her wedding last year, I insisted that she see Christina and also get a guarantee that the alterations would only be done by Marianna. Marianna is obvious the treasure of that store. And I am so grateful for her time and attention to not only my beautiful dress but my little sister's as well. I would recommend that anyone looking for a custom wedding dress to see Christina and make sure it is Marianna that is doing your alterations. -

After attending a bridal show at the Merion, I just had to visit this store. All of the gowns and dresses in the show were beautiful. I went to this store and I found the perfect gown. On this day I met Diane, she is patient and kind. We had a great time as I tried on wedding gowns. As time passed I met all of the woman in this location. Everyone there was nice to me and my flower girl. Christina, thanks for everything. I will be calling from time to time, just to say hello to all of you. I would surely recommend this store to anyone shopping for bridal attire. Missing you all already. If I ever have another formal affair, I will come back. ??

I have to say, I had a really good experience with Rena Elle Couture. I am a bigger girl and was please to find sample sizes I could try on that weren’t Plus Size models, which are too big for me up top. When I ordered my dress, I paid in full and by doing so, got 20% off a beaded belt that I ordered. Surprisingly, the dress arrived from the manufacturer in record time (less than 8 weeks) and they held the dress for me until I was ready to come in for my first fitting (4 months later). I was crazy and ordered my dress a size smaller than I should have, thinking I’d lose enough weight to fit in it. Dumb move! The bottom fit perfectly, but there was no way the top was going to close, even with me losing some more weight. Their seamstress, Marianna, was amazing and immediately came up with a plan to fix the situation. She removed the zipper and transformed the dress into a corset back. It looked beautiful! Marianna was working on my dress up until I picked it up 2 days before the wedding. It seems to be her M.O., which is probably a good thing since I saw several brides in the shop who kept losing weight between fittings so Marianna had to keep taking the dresses in. One other thing, when the belt I ordered along w/ the dress finally came in from the manufacturer (a week before the wedding), it was the wrong belt (we checked the order and the manufacturer screwed up). The manager, Christina, was really great and was willing to substitute a different belt or refund the money for the belt. It turns out the dress looked better w/o the belt anyway so she refunded the money. I really appreciate that they did that. -

I was a very Happy and beautiful Bride on my wedding day, thanks to the services of Rena Couture. I dealt with Christina through the entire purchasing, altering and delivery of my wedding dress.
She was a pleasure to work with. Pleasant, calm responsive and just overall very nice, even when I ordered my dress late and needed extra alterations she assured me that it would be ready for my wedding and it was. Marianna, now what can I say about my darling seamstress. Thank you Marianna, thank you. My dress fit perfectly and I received nothing but compliments. The corset in the back was on point.
Christina and Marianna made the wedding dress part of planning my wedding very easy and stress free. Thank you Ladies may God continue to Bless you both abundantly. The newly minted Mrs. Redd :) -

Corinne is the best consultant I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She was very professional, personable and patient with me. She let me try on several dresses and took her time to help me find the perfect wedding dress. I ordered my dress really early so the dress arrived a year before my actual wedding. I would call Corinne and she would let me stop by and try on my dress, I did this probably at least every other month until my wedding. Marianna was also extremely helpful when I needed my dress altered slightly and my hem taken in. She would compliment me and even had me stand in the store front window with my dress. Thank you to Corinne and Marianna for helping me look beautiful on my wedding day.

Rena Elle was the 2nd dress shop I visited, and I was very pleased with their selection of bridal gowns. I didn't have an appointment, but Corrine assisted us at the visit, and she was so nice & helpful. I was so excited to have found my dress that day, and the whole ordering process was very easy...my dress even came in earlier than expected. I would definitely recommend Rena Elle to all South Jersey brides! -

What an amazing experience! I was so nervous about finding a dress and had had a number of awful dress shopping experiences until I found Rena Elle. Corinne took as much time as she needed with me and listened to everything I was saying (and what I wasn't saying!). She was patient and kept a sense of humor through the process, which really helped! Finally we found the dress and she was so encouraging and I felt like she was giving genuine feedback. Also, Corinne suggested I wait to purchase the dress during a Trunk Show, which I appreciated, rather than just closing the sale that day. Later on in the process I met Jen, who was also fantastic. Both Jen and Corinne walked me through the tailoring process, which considering my dress size dropped drastically was a bit scary to make sure it would all work out okay. They were so upbeat, and always checked in to make sure I was okay. Every time I walked into Rena Elle I felt taken care of and valued as a customer. I can't say enough things about my fantastic experience at Rena Elle (and highly recommend using Mariana as the seamstress- she is AMAZING!!). Thank you ladies for making the dress buying experience stress free and fun! -

Rena Elle Couture has a very "at home" atmosphere. I worked with Corinne and felt very comfortable with her. She was a real gem! And there's such a wide variety of dresses that I ended up deciding between two completely different styles! Most places I went were pushy and didn't listen to what I was looking for. Corinne knew exactly what I wanted and even showed me different looks I ended up loving! I really recommend Rena Elle if just for the experience. The prices of the dresses are decent considering the quality. I love my dress! -

I got my wedding dress and bridal belt from here. I also had my alterations done here. The people are the absolutely the best! So incredibly sweet, calm, and ready to help whether it is with pep talk to training your maid of honor exactly what to do on your day. I love them and im kind of sad that now i wont have an excuse to go in and see them!! However, they have already told me to come back whenever possible even if im bored. hahaha. You feel like family there for sure. -

The girls in the shop are so helpful. My dress was not in stock and they put together a dress that would be as close to mine to help pick out my veil while I waited for my dress to arrive. They exceeded my expectations by miles! My dress and custom ordered veil came in and they are perfect I can't wait to wear them on my special day:) -

I absolutely adore Rena Elle Couture! Everyone there is very attentive and professional. I didn't want a strapless gown, so after visiting four other shops that only pulled strapless and told me to alter the dress, I felt a little defeated. That is until I came here. Corinne pulled a number of dresses that fit what I described and I went from having no interest in any dress to needing to decide between two beautiful Allure gowns. Everyone was very patient while I tried them both on twice. They were so nice when I came back to try my actual gown on, and told us we can come back to 'visit her' any time. -

Where do I start? From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was their only customer. The girls were never pushy and really wanted me to LOVE my dress even if it wasn't from their store. I felt like they were my best friends, just as excited about my big day as I was. I can't wait to go back and show them pictures once I have them. I had such a wonderful experience with Rena Elle Couture. I had visited a handful of other places before this store, but none offered me any kind of feedback about my dress. Rena Elle was the first place who took my ideas for what I was looking for AND expanded on them to find a dress that was so beyond perfect, but beyond this, they were honest! I never would have picked out the dress they helped me find, but the second I tried it on, I knew. Everyone who works there is fabulous and you come to feel like part of the family. Marianna helped with my alterations and she was just fantastic. I was sad to say goodbye to her at my last fitting. Rena Elle Couture is a wonderful store and I received fabulous compliments about my dress on my wedding day! -

Rena Elle was awesome to work with from start to finish. Their entire staff (esp. the manager) is incredibly sweet and attentive, from the moment you walk in the store right through the day you walk out with your dress.
When I first went in to Rena Elle, the sales person took one look at me and said "I have your dress." She pulled a dress for me, I tried it on... and that was it. My parents and I visited several other shops and tried on a bunch of other gowns, but nothing compared. So - it was back to Rena Elle, where we bought the dress off the rack!
I paid slightly more at Rena Elle than I may have at other shops... but it was SO worth it. Every experience I had there was great, and I really appreciated the personal attention their staff gave me every time I walked in. I highly recommend them for any bride looking for gorgeous dresses and a highly professional staff of sales and service people to help throughout the process.

Rena Elle was the first salon I went to when I tried on wedding dresses. The staff was so professional and made me feel like I was shopping with friends. They didn't pressure me at all and in fact suggested since it was my first time trying on dresses that I look elsewhere and come back. I ended up coming back and finding my dress and couldn't have been happier with the service I received from them. They did my alterations as well and I felt like I could have stayed for hours each time I came to the store. I never was rushed and always felt so important and cared for. I love Rena Elle and would highly suggest them to anyone looking for a wedding dress. Oh and all the dresses I tried on were very reasonably priced! -

Diane helped me through the whole process..she was the most lovely, down-to-earth, and ‘non pressure person’. I was fairly unsure what I wanted and she was very supportive all along the way. Rena Elle Couture also let me keep my dress there for a few weeks before I picked it up to get it altered by a seamstress I knew. I purchased my wedding dress from this store. It was absolutely beautiful. The woman who helped me try all the dresses on was extremely helpful. The dress did take 6 months to come in... I needed my dress dramatically altered since I ordered a size 12 and became pregnant 5 months after ordering my dress. I didn't have my dress yet and they could not change the size (I was 28 weeks when I got married). Alterations at this store would have cost me over $400 to make it bigger, take out the zipper and make it a tie back, and the hem. I went elsewhere for the alterations. -

Loved loved loved my dress!
The saleswoman was so sweet. There was no pressure to buy and we ended up coming back that afternoon to purchase the dress. The only thing is that I should not have bought the next size up, but it all worked out in the end:) -

Stopped in on an impulse. I was determined that there was not going to be a dress on the planet that was going to have what I wanted and be loved by everyone. Everyone was very nice. Between my mother-in-law, friend, and staff there were a few dresses pulled. I was feeling very defeated. When I got to the third dress the sales associate wouldn't even let me see the dress until I came out and showed my family. When I came out their faces just dropped. I wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. When my mother-in-law asked me what I thought I replied "I don't know I haven't even seen myself in it." When I was turned around and looked in the mirror I could tell I had the same facial expression as my family did. I was in love! The sales lady was right. Never dismiss a dress until you put it on. Going back for alteration was my favorite part. The seamstress was amazing. She made me feel and look beautiful in my dress. I would tell everyone to go and see her and the other lovely ladies here. -

I found the dress of my dreams at rena elle couture. Since this is a newer salon, I was a little hesitant initially to visit. I visited a lot of the other local salons that have been around for years and came highly recommended first but couldn't find what i was looking for, and found the service to not be that great since they were always so busy with other customers. Rena elle is a gorgeous and well maintained salon. They may not have the largest selection but they carried designers that other salons did not carry. Initially Corrine helped me find my dress. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and brought such a good vibe and energy when helping me find my dress. On the times I returned to the salon, I worked either with Corrine or Dana. Both girls were absolutely fantastic. They made my experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend Rena Elle when dress shopping.
I also used them for alterations. Overall the service was okay, not great. I was losing weight up until the month of my wedding and I felt the seamstress was a little annoyed by this and not as understanding as I would have hoped. At the end of the day the dress looked great, but I could have done without the attitude of the seamstress. -

After visiting two other stores, my sister and I made a last minute stop at Rena Elle which I found online. We called ahead and they were able to quickly accommodate us. I was planning a smaller wedding and was not looking to spend more than 1200 on a dress. While another store had acted like my budget was obscene, Diane (pretty sure that was her name) was very nice and suggested several dresses within my budget. While I tried on dresses she created a calm, comfortable atmosphere. She was not pushy or overly opinionated. Even when I found my dress, I did not feel pressured into buying it but did so instead because I really loved it. I purchased a beautiful Allure dress that different and unique for less that 800 dollars. They gave me a great deal and since I paid in full, I received a 50% discount on my veil. The only disappointing experience with Rena Elle was alterations. Marianna herself was very cute and nice. I enjoyed working with her and she did a good job. However, the price of the alterations seemed very high. When I came in for my first appointment she told me she could not even estimate the cost until she let the dress out a little (this should have been a red flag but everything else had gone so well with Rena Elle that I went with it). After that, she added cups and hemmed the dress. In total they charged me 425 (with the cups for free because Marianna missed an appointment). That was more than half the cost of the dress - which fit pretty well to begin with. In the end, I was happy with dress and received a ton of complements. I would recommend Rena Elle but recommend going elsewhere for alterations. -

Rena Elle has a decent selection for shopping for gowns. Customer service is excellent until you buy. Once I bought, they'd much rather work with brides shopping for dresses than altering my dress and meeting all my needs. -

Scary similar reviews to other brides on here with their bad experiences with Marianna. Please do not go here for alterations, if you do, request Michelle for alterations, DO NOT use Marianna. What they don’t tell you at the store is that Marianna does all of the alterations from her home, which is apparently an hour away from the store, so she drives back and forth with your dress in her car every time you have a fitting, this in itself is a huge liability! At my first appointment Marianna was late and I waited in the store wearing my dress for 2 hours!! The second appointment I had, she forgot my dress at home AND she tried to pick a fight with me! Unfortunately I was at the mercy of Marianna and after she got into an accident (with my dress in the car), Michelle took over and my dress was not finished until 2 hours before my rehearsal, the day before the wedding. As far as the store itself, the dresses are beautiful and as long as it is not too crowded the girls working there will be nice to you, especially Diana. In the end the store tried to be as accommodating as they could after what I went through with the alterations. -

** wedding was on 05/21/16** So after drafting a lengthy unfiltered 6 pages long heated review about Rena Elle, I decided to go over and shorten this review with the essentials so that this message gets across to all readers. In brief, my distress does not go to Rena Elle boutique and staff but specifically towards the seamstress that works with Rena Elle that caused me the most unbelievable stress to the day before my wedding!!To start off, Christina, the store manager is professional, patient, and attentive person to work with who actually sold me the Stella York dress that I had been eyeing 8 months prior to my wedding. She is very knowledgeable with specific designer's production time and my dress came into the store 3 months before my wedding day as she assured it would. The store contacted me immediately when my dress came in to schedule for my first fitting. Then I was introduced to Marianna, the seamstress of Rena Elle, who helped me with my first fitting and she claimed that with her years of expertise she will guide and suggest all the necessary alternations to make my dress fit like a glove.
Marianna did a good job fitting the dress. The core work was done however there was still a lot of detailed work to be done (hem, bustle, belt, cups) as we discussed in the first fitting. The headache really started with the 3rd, 4th, 5th fitting...During the fittings, Marianna basically gave me no results with false promises and unrealistic deadlines. We had wasted many of my weekends for me to go into the store just to add more dates for additional fittings.Never in my life have I have ever dealt with a professional to be so arrogant, disrespectful, and unethical. Marianna starts raising her voice at me and blames me of being too particular and loosing too much weight. Marianna threatened to destroy my dress with her scissors if I did not pay remaining balance on spot. Not surprisingly, the finishing of the bustle and hem was a complete MESS!! -

I purchased my dress and had it altered at Rena Elle. Finding a dress with the saleswoman Diane was great. She was helpful and made suggestions. However my experience steadily declined from then on. When I found the dress I wanted, the seamstress Marianna came in to make recommendations. Though she was friendly, she made several mistakes over the months I had to work with her. My first fitting I brought my MOH to see my dress, we arrived at Rena Elle but Marianna didn't have my dress there. She "thought it was still in the shop" but it was at her house. We changed our plans to keep this appointment only to be turned away until the next weekend. The second fitting Marianna was 20-25 minutes late. The third fitting Marianna was OVER 45 mins late. There were prom girls waiting for their appointments so she must have been even more late for their appointment. I was scheduled to get my dress on the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding but when I went to pick up Wednesday she STILL had work to do. She told me to pick it up Friday instead. At each fitting we reviewed what still needed to be done but unfortunately when I picked up the dress Marianna had not put ribbon on the inside so the beading didn't itch me. The night before my wedding I had to spend over an hour putting ribbon where Marianna said she was going to put it. Thank goodness we weren't doing a rehearsal dinner. NO bride should be fixing her own dress the night before her wedding when she has paid a professional good money to get it done!
While waiting for Marianna to arrive for my third fitting, my mom asked to speak to the manager, Christina. She said she would speak to Marianna and then speak to my mom again. After I picked up my dress my mom spoke to Christina again who said she would "work with us" because the seamstress experience had been so disappointing. That was in May. Christine has never called again.
AND my mom had to stop at the store ON THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING because my cups weren't -

If I could only rate Kristina and Ms. Marianna, I'd give the place 10 stars if I could, Ms. Marianna is an angel did an AMAZING job on my dress. Her customer service was AMAZING. However, I give it one star for all the hassel I was put through from another employee and how my dress was ordered in the wrong size. I had Diana as my consultant, and although she has a nice demeanor I received unnecessary stress which was frustrating and disappointing. I tried on the sample size Stella York dress in a size 14 ivory in February 2016, so its safe to assume that when it was ordered I'd at least receive a size 14. My wedding was this past June 2017. I don't remember getting measured at all (but that's another story), but the dress that came back WAS NOT a size 14. The style of the dress is form fitting and trumpet style and the material does not give--- I could not get that thing on!! At the first fitting I told Ms.Marianna and Diana that I gained weight so maybe that was it. But even after losing 11 lbs after the first fitting (about 6 weeks before my wedding) it did not fit. At the second fitting Diana had an idea for me to put on the sample dress to illustrate how she didn't think Ms. Marianna let the seams out like she said she did. Well, I tired on the sample, and IT FIT. How did the sample--of a dress that has no give- fit but not the dress that was ordered?? Marianna took the dress home again to make alterations. Diana didn't communicate anything to Marianna because Marianna didn't know that I tried on both dresses on the same day and the sample fit. I
had a phone conversation with Diana two days before my wedding because there was no way that the dress that was ordered came in as a 14. Diana said with the measurements that she had on file for me (which I don't remember) I was 3 inches bigger than the recorded measurement but it was not over the maximum measurement for the dress. Marianna is a great seamstress and if it wasn't for her I would have flipped out. -

Run! Seriously...run!
I found my perfect wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses at Rena. I had no intention of using their seamstress for alterations based on the reviews I read. Long story short...Rena Elle dropped the ball with one of my bridesmaids dresses, THEY ordered the wrong size (same size TWICE) and blamed me (the customer), never apologized or took responsibility, however, they covered the cost of alterations (minus hem and add-on), seamstress tried to swindle $250 out of me to "fix" the dress (FYI - the dress cost $235, she didn't get a penny), her workmanship, her professionalism, and her integrity is lacking. Not an honest lady and not as talented as they all claim she is. The whole situation was not handled well by Rena Elle Couture.
What was supposed to be a happy experience was not. Save yourself the stress...I would not recommend them to anyone. I understand things happen but to blame me and not take responsibility when I'm not the professional and not give me any options and continue to blame me again, and again for your lousy judgment call is not only frustrating its wrong.
The best advice I could give anyone dress shopping is to go somewhere else. -

We had a great experience until it was time to refund my money.
I would not recommend Rena Elle Couture to anyone. My daughter was getting married on 8/31/19. We went to Rena Elle Couture to purchase my daughter's wedding dress and veil. The custom made veil cost $585. My daughter picked up the veil on 2/24/19. The store clerk showed her the veil and then folded the veil and put it in the bag. When we went to have the veil steamed 2 days prior to the wedding, it was noticed that the glue from the stones were sticking to the veil and causing holes. We immediately called Rena Elle Couture to inform them of what we found. Kristina (Store Manager) first wanted to see if she could get us a new custom veil prior to the wedding in two days. Once she made a few phone calls she was unable to get us a new veil. Kristina asked us to bring in the veil so that she could take a look at it. I took the veil to the shop and she could not explain why the stones were sticking to the veil. We took pictures of the holes and sticking stones in the store. Since there was nothing they could do and my daughter need a veil, she offered to steam the defective veil so that at least my daughter would have a veil for the wedding. Kristina also stated that she would contact her management office to see what they could do to resolve this issue with us after the wedding. On 9/5/19, I received a message from Kristina that she was still waiting to hear something and once she does she will get back to me. On 9/14/19, she called me and said they agreed to give me a refund for the veil. However, before they could write the check, I had to bring the veil back. I returned the veil that day. Upon request, Kristina gave me a receipt with the note: "Dropped off veil, receiving full refund for veil by check". The following week, I called to ask about the refund and was told I should receive it shortly. I called two weeks later and was told the same thing again. As of today (12/26/19) 3 months later, I still have not received my refund nor a phone call to explain why they have not sent the check. I also report them to the Better Business Bureau. This is very unacceptable. -

Wedding dress nightmare
First, let me just say....my fellow brides to be.... DO NOT GO TO RENA ELLE COUTURE!!!!!!NOT FOR YOUR GOWN, NOT FOR FOR YOUR BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES, NOT FOR ANYTHING. I almost got married without a dress because of this place and the shady ignorant people that work there. Let me just take you step by step through what happened to me during my wedding dress NIGHTMARE !!Back in August of 2018, I started dress shopping for my wedding in June of 2019. I stumbled across this dress shop by accident. I walked in an instantly had a great feeling. I tried on three dresses and found my dream dress. I order on the spot, they tell me it will be in no later then end of January. So February comes, I receive no phone call. So I start calling.. they tell me it’s just late will be here end of feb. March comes, still no phone call. I call there everyday for a week with no response and finally get word that my dress is in..AGAIN BECAUSE I called. So I asked to come try it on and Christina the manager/partner/owner who knows what she is it changes every time you speak to them.. tells me herself that they need two weeks Because they go through every single dress with a fine toothed comb to make sure there are no issues and as soon as it’s checked out they will call me to schedule my first fitting. So I wait two weeks. No phone call (shocker) so I call schedule my first fitting chomping at the bit with excitement. Me and my mom go in for my fitting with “Christina” guess who doesn’t show up... Christina. So now I’m put with someone who to say is in a rush would be an understatement. I don’t know how many times she told me her husband and child were waiting for her. So I try on the dress and SURPRISE it’s INCORRECT. The back was corset I ordered a zipper. The sample I tried on wasn’t even a corset. This lady informs me that this dress does not come in zipper. I had to actually pull up a picture of me trying it on to prove her wrong. Finally it comes out that “the designer messed it up” they ordered the correct dress. “Don’t worry it will be taken care of” (that’s all they say to you. The most ignorant people I have ever met.)So at that same time that she puts a “rush” on the new dress I order my veil. I made it clear numerous times that I did not want an altered dress. That I wanted a brand new dress made from the designer. And I was promised on everything she had that the corset would not be cut out of the dress. “Of course hunny you will have a brand new dress! You are my priority”You know what that was right? ANOTHER LIE. I wait 6-8 weeks for this “new” dress that doesn’t come. I call every single day 90% of the time they don’t answer and when they do all you hear is “Christina is the only one who can access your account” as if it’s your bank account. Not shady right? Fast forward to end of April. I finally get a hold Of someone and ask on status of my dress and I was told..”yes hunny it’s here. It came in on Thursday” once again never received a phone call and this was 4 days later. So I schedule my first fitting for May 1 and ask to make sure my veil was in that I ordered in MARCH! I was asked “oh did you order a veil?” So another surprise! They never ordered my veil. I freak out on the phone and again it’s “don’t worry everything will be fine” they talk me in to letting their seamstress do the alterations for free because they “felt so bad” so I agreed.. another mistake. So I go in for the fitting and the dress fits like a glove. All it needed was a hem. The seamstress needed two weeks to do it so my final fitting was May 15... yes my wedding was June 8!!! So I call every single day for the three days prior to my final fitting to check on the veil .”yes your veil is here hunny it’s perfect “ I again ask, is it correct. “Yes it is right in front of me” guess what. ANOTHER LIE! I go in for my final fitting May 15 and this day was FULL OF SURPRISES!! the dress is too small, they hand the veil to my Mother still in the package all folded up. And it is NOT THE correct one...AND the hem was never done! I flipped out took the dress out of there they chased me out begging me to let them FIX the problem! I took it to my very well known seamstress (thank god for her) who knows nothing about what Happened and the first thing she tells me is the corset was cut out of the dress and the zipper was put in and they used all the extra material to make it fit with a zipper so there was no more material to use to take out the dress. They also put a YELLOW ZIPPER on my IVORY dress. I have never pictured myself in my wedding dress two weeks before my wedding just sobbing. That’s all I did for the entire month before my wedding. All BECAUSE of RENA ELLE COUTURE and the ignorant people that run that shady place. As she was repining the hem that was never done, she brings another surprise to my attention! A NICE BIG HOLE IN THE TULLE ON THE UNDERLAY. Right in the front. She had to move detAil over it and tack it down so it couldn’t be seen. Most people Would say at least you couldn’t see it. But I COULD. I STILL KNEW IT WAS THERE. I picked my dress up on May 27 which was less than two weeks before my wedding. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Hopefully this shady business GETS SHUT DOWN. That’s what needs to happen. They don’t care about anyone or anything. The dress is supposed to be the least stressful Part of wedding planning but Because of RENA ELLE COUTURE it was the most stressful for me! Please don’t make the same mistake that I did! -

Good experience until we paid for our dresses. We brought 3 bridemaid dresses and one wedding dress. We ordered everything in Jan and were told they would be back April 19, 2017. That date came and went. Serveral bridesmaids called the shop for information on their dresses and there calls where not returned. I called myself as the bride and was told oh I have your friends number, but I didn't get a chance to call back, at this time it is now three days later. My wedding is May 20, and my bridesmaids dress did not come back until the second week in May. Then we were told they could not even do any alternations and they were supposed to do alternations on my wedding dress. I also went to two dress fitting and was supposed to get corset made, the lady cancelled on me once and then made a appointment at 5:30 which then she called back and changed to 7pm. I show up at 7pm along with 5 other people waiting on dresses. The ladies in shop had to call the seamstress several times to make sure she was coming in,there were so many people waiting on her. My dress still was not done, another lady wedding dress was not even there and they told her to come back Thursday. Absolutely the worst service ever. They offer no solutions to the problem. I will never recommend them to anyone and will be submitting a claim to the BBB. The best day of my life has been ruined by them,not to mention two days before my wedding I need find someone to fix my dress... Then they did not even give me the scarf to my dress. What a nightmare! I do not recommend. I went to Rena Elle Couture because I had 3 different people who I am friends with go and have amazing experiences. I worked with Diane who was great. I was a July 2016 wedding, and I went shopping end of September 2015. I purchased with a trunk show price and 50% the veil - and spent $1500 total for a Stella York dress- 6 month turnaround. Then the nightmare began! I got a phone call at the end of Jan. that the dress came in, that I can stop in at anytime, and take a look at it. I went the last weekend in February (Saturday) with my bridesmaids, tried my ordered dress, Diane says oh whose going to do your corset? I didn't order a corset. They never checked my dress when it came in!!!! It was in for a month, and nobody checked it. Diane quickly told Kristina, and it just kept going downhill. Kristina said that they will have to call the manufacturer and have an answer for me Monday morning. Monday morning, no call from them, I had to call in the afternoon with no update. I was on a business trip and had to step out multiple times to try and get an update. Finally later that evening, Kristina finally tells me that they are going to remake it, and it will come in at the end of May - getting married July 9th. After many minutes on the phone, I was able to get it pushed up to beginning of April and was assured that alterations would be no problem. The dress came in, and I was told to stop in after work. I stop in, and then I was asked why I didn't have an appointment, and it was unacceptable to stop by. Then after it is the right dress, I had alterations scheduled there. I kept getting phone calls asking if they could change my appt. because they wanted to keep the weekend open for sales. I pulled my dress after being harassed about changing the alter. date and found a place that could do my alterations within 3 weeks. -

I found that the staff at Rena Elle were friendly and accommodating until they got your money! (Except Diane) When I purchased the gown we were told that we would be given half off of the veil if we paid for the gown in full. We were debating if we should pay in full to get the veil half off. Kristina, the manager, said she would give us the gown half off if we just gave the down payment of 60% instead of paying in full. She did not honor this when we came back 6 months later. She finally said "Ok I'll take your word for it", then increased the price of the veil saying "oh the veil is actually $400" when we were originally told $200. Prior to this I had found a color I wanted the bridesmaids to wear and Rena Elle was the only place nearby to carry the "color of the year" radiant orchid. I was told in December that the color was available, but being that it was the color of the year for 2014, when I came in with my bridesmaids on January 3rd the color was no longer available. Everyone had already been sized, so I just decided to settle for a similar color. I was ok with the change because it was still a nice color, but I think they should have been aware of this change! THEN, I scheduled a fitting. I got there at 4pm and was told my fitting wasn't until 5pm. I figured I probably made the mistake (maybe) so I sat in the car outside for an hour waiting for the seamstress. She arrived at 5:20pm and took another bride before me! I could have gotten the time wrong, but they should have never double booked appointments and they certainly should have taken me first! I ended up sitting in my wedding dress for 45 minutes waiting for the other girl to be done her fitting. I was there from 4pm to 7pm, my whole day wasted. One final note, if you are shopping during prom season at Rena Elle, you might as well be a ghost. Prom dresses and teenagers in pageants trump brides at Rena Elle. -

After a 6 month wait, the dress that arrived was VERY wrinkled, extremely scratchy, had holes in the lace, and looked as though a 6 year old made it with a bedazzling kit. Not a 1400 dress. I was in tears & they tried to convince me it would look better/ordered after some $1000 in alterations.
After seeing images the store associastes, the manager, and dress vendor/manufacturer Offered a refund. We didn't know this was an option. We thought wow they really are trying to work with us. This is so great. I was assured this was entirely possible and probably necessary. The seamstress then told me the in store model dress for the stores & manufactured dress you order are produced to different standards.
I was then verbally told that if the vendor agreed to it, I would be issued a refund. In the next two days, I got a call,again assuring me, saying everything was fine and the vendor agreed to a return for my situation. I would be issued a refund in 10 days. I was so happy that my big day would be saved. Several days later the store called mentioning the vendor returned the money, and some $100+ would be kept by the store. For the most part the cost of the dress from the manufacturer was given back in full. This was Ideal for all parties.
A week later I received another call from an unknown employee telling me that they usually don't issue refunds, so they were not sure they could make this happen. This blunt and borderline angry staff person then told me, that all previous interactions with the other employee were not representative of the company.
After 2 months, the BBB, credit company, and our lawyer, we were finally issued the refund they originally offered. -
