I can’t even think about the wedding without crying!
It was absolutely perfect, there is nothing about the night that we would change, and you know it was a journey to get here.
Everything was amazing.....Somehow I don’t know how you guys did it but you all managed to make all my dreams come true.

With the onset of COVID-19 Wedding planning was crazy! We found the Box Hill Mansion with their outdoor setup, after our indoor reception was postponed/cancelled. We were hoping for a crowd to celebrate our nuptials and we stumbled onto the grounds of the Mansion. Now we cannot imagine our wedding reception anywhere else. From the beginning they were incredibly flexible and accommodating, as we were faced with planning a whole new reception in a short time frame. The grounds were well kept and absolutely gorgeous. The gardens provided ample opportunities for the photographer and we cannot wait until our final photos are available. Between the building facade, Koi pond, and murals on the interior of the mansion your photos will be beautiful and unique . There was even a small hidden staircase tucked away on the grounds! The food was delicious and the portion sizes left you stuffed, but the taste left you wanting more! The wait staff was courteous, attentive, and prompt with serving/ clearing and the maître D’ paid special attention to us all night. Throughout the planning process the event staff, understood our wedding vision and executed everything perfectly. Going as far as to review each item that was to be highlighted at our reception and using their own creativity to elegantly embellish the various tables and displays. Our wedding at the Box Hill Mansion was a dream and we would highly recommend to anyone planning an event!Box Hill Mansion's reply:

Everyone at box hill mansion was amazing and made our wedding day perfect. My fiance is from Grenada and we had to push our wedding date back a couple of times because his visa was taking longer than expected and Kristie was always so understanding and helpful. She helped our wedding day go smoothly and had everything organized for me. I wouldn't have changed anything at all and I'm so happy that I selected box hill mansion for our venue.Box Hill Mansion's reply:

I cannot thank the coordinators enough for making our special day so perfect. They took the stress out of the entire set up/tear down process. This venue offers a coordinator to help you out the day prior at the rehearsal dinner, they take all of your decorations and set up for you and then their staff tears down after your wedding and carefully boxes it all up for you to take away. I always thought it would be sad to have to stay after my wedding and tear everything down -- they do this for you at no extra cost.
The food for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding were PERFECT, four weeks later and I'm still getting compliments on what we served.
The venue itself is beyond compare, I cannot imagine a more beautiful place to get married and will be showing pictures while bragging for the years to come. -

When I first visited Box Hill, I knew I had found my wedding venue. It was perfect!! From the surrounding beautiful gardens, to the elegant brick mansion, it was hard to believe such an enchanted place laid moments away from the city of York. Not only was the venue everything I could of asked for, but the staff made the whole wedding planning process & my wedding day entirely stress free. Kristie and Shea were fantastic, I am so thankful I had them!! -

We didn't have to worry about setting up decorations or the dessert table, and we were met with drinks/appetizers immediately following the ceremony so we could enjoy our own cocktail hour. We were also brought a plate of food later so that we didn't forget to eat. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly the whole day went. July 5, 2019 Bride
Box Hill Mansion was everything we dreamed of for our wedding! The wedding coordinators Kristie & Shea were extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions very promptly. The rest of the staff was courteous and helpful as well. The food was amazing, and our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was & how wonderful our wedding was. The mansion & grounds are beautifully landscaped and our wedding pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend Box Hill Mansion for your wedding! -

Tyler Sent on 05/24/2018Mary Ann was amazing anything and everything we could've need she helped with, As it was calling for rain she kept plan b ready while also doing everything to make sure the wedding was exactly how we wanted it outside. The food was amazing, the staff was even better. Would recommend them to anyone.

Jessica Sent on 10/25/2017This venue was so perfect and it made our wedding day more incredible than I could have ever imagined! I live south of Baltimore and expanded my search to be up to a 1 hour drive. This place showed up and as soon as we saw it in person, we were in love with it. The coordinator for the venue (Mary) was fantastic, she took care of so much for us, she made sure we had everything we could need all night. I wish I could say there was one thing I didn't like about the Box Hill experience, so that my review does not seem too good to be true, but I really can't. Our October 7th wedding at 5:30 was the most beautiful wedding I have seen. The lighting coming through the trees, the view of the rolling hills, and the gardens, and house were just breathtaking. It is the PERFECT venue! -

Tawney Sent on 05/24/2018I don’t know why I waited so long to write a review because the minute I met Mary Ann, we clicked! I spotted this venue online and was blown away by how perfect it was! It was exactly what we were looking for but I thought “no way is this in my budget!” But dreams do come true! We visited in the winter and we were still blown away, my heart stopped! The view out the back door is absolutely breath taking. Mary Ann genuinely cares for her brides and the wait staff goes above and beyond. We had a bit of a unique menu and the chef made it happen, no questions asked. We are forever grateful for our experience at Boxhill! Our wedding day would not have been as magical as it was, without The Boxhill Mansion and it’s staff. I wish I had pics of us in front of the mansion. I tried to include some pictures with the grounds in them!

The service was amazing, food was incredible, absolutely gorgeous venue inside and out. The women have a bridal suite but the men also get their own. Leo, the restaurant manager, checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. Professional but down to earth. Perfect.Box Hill Mansion's reply:

We got married there last September, Box Hill Mansion is a beautiful mansion. We loved everything about the mansion, inside and out and beautiful grounds. The food was ok, but not great. Staff, Cindy and Wendy were amazing! They made everything so easy and stress free constantly checking on everything.
I wish could say the same for Kristie the property manager. She had an attitude since day one. When we met for our first tour of the venue My Mother in law naturally had questions about the packages and the venue, Kristie had an attitude, and made several snarky remarks. We brushed as we all have bad days right?
Well sadly she also feels entitled to speak to clients as if, for lack of better terms are beneath her the day before your wedding definitely left a bad impression.

FactCheck: A email was sent. When we were notified of the deadline a credit was offered both on the phone and email. Which was declined and instead insisted the payment was brought to the office, the day of the rehearsal. (Which it was by the groom and father of the groom). Perhaps the issue would have been avoided all together if the staff member was in fact professional.
We were thankful we didn’t have to see her or deal with her on our special day.Box Hill Mansion's reply:
Nat, I am sorry that you felt you were spoken to in an inappropriate manner. However, when the policies of the contract are not followed we do get frustrated. What was left out of your review was that you did not adhere to the final payment deadline. Several e-mail exchanges had to take place and we tried to work with you. We had asked that you take payment directly to our accounting office prior to your rehearsal. Even after making this exception for you, you still did not adhere to this. -
