You won't be disappointed

We used them for our wedding and it was a huge hit!! They are family owned, so you know it'll be good! They are so easy to work with and incredibly friendly! Everything turned out perfectly and was delicious! The cake was a huge hit by all! Their pricing is also very reasonable! Would recommend them over and over!

Delicious and Beautiful!

Reeves was fantastic! We got three cakes to sample and they were all delicious, so we ended up getting two flavors for our wedding cake: spice cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate cake with raspberry filling. It was just as good on the wedding day! We sent them a couple pictures for inspiration and the design turned out even better than we hoped for. They were incredible professional and easy to work with - highly recommend!

We were able to attend a cake tasting before we purchased, and it did not disappoint! It was so fun choosing what we wanted our tiers to be and Reeves worked so well with us to pair the best frosting, cake, and filling. I just celebrated my anniversary and ate the top tier of our cake that had been frozen for a year. It tasted AMAZING! My grandma froze it for us and before freezing it, called Reeves to find out the best way to freeze the top tier. She did exactly what they said, and it tasted so delicious. My husband isn't a big cake person, but he loved our wedding cake. Almond was our favorite!

Our cake looked amazing. We did a castle cake because we had a Beauty and the Beast theme, the cake matched perfectly! We had lots of people asking us where it came from because they loved the look and taste of the cake.

We used Reeves cake for our wedding on 7/22. They did an absolutly amazing job with the decorations around the tiered cake. They were able to match the decorations with the colors of my wedding. We had so many compliments on the look and tast of the cake.

I have always dreamed about recreating my parents wedding cake with a modern flair for my wedding. They a TON of tiers with bridges and a fountain. Reeves by far exceeded my expectations. They worked with us to design every tier and every element in between columns as well as the numerous toppers we had. Not to mention their cake was amazing both moist and just enough sweetness to the icing that it was perfect.

Absolutely did a fantastic job on the color's of the cake and the scroll work!! Red velvet and marble alternating layers was a hit at our reception. Delicious!!! They also worked with the venue that we had our reception at and the cake was included in our package up to X amount of people...I'm so glad that they were offered to us this way because i would of never known about them if not. We were thrilled with the final outcome. Walking into our reception and seeing our cake on the table in "our colors" and exactly what we had asked for was such a great feeling! Basically after i put my order in on what type, style, #of people and flavors i didn't have to worry about a thing which was nice; because as a bride you have enough to worry about and do. That was one less thing off of my list. So thankful for the great cake and all of their hard work!!

Working with Reeve Cake was a piece of cake!
The cake looked amazing and the taste was even better. I would definately recommend attending the free cake show they have. You will be blown away on the many different choices and flavors available.

Reeve's did a nice job with our cake. The design came out perfectly. I highly recommend going to their free cake tasting events because you won't need to pay for a consultation. It was really hard picking out flavors because they were all so good!

Our cake was 100% perfect! It was both stunningly beautiful and absolutely delicious!! The price was the lowest of any bakery we looked at, and we got a very good "vibe" from the people there. It's a family-owned shop which started in a basement around the Great Depression, and they definitely know what they're doing. I recommend the orange cake - soooo yummy!!!

I attended a cake tasting event at Reeves Cake shop in January and won a FREE wedding cake!!! I sent them two pictures and explained how I wanted the cake to look. They did a wonderful job, and the cake turned out perfectly--exactly how I envisioned it!!! The cake itself was very moist and tasty. We were very pleased with our experience!

They made me an amazing cake! I wanted the cake to have chocolate dripped over the edge with strawberries on top and they brought my vision to life :) Prices are very reasonable and it tasted amazing! Thanks again - I really appreciate all of your hard work!!

We're still blown away by how gorgeous our cake looked - it was exactly what we wanted. They did a fantastic job with it even though we'd had to alter the number of servings shortly before the wedding. We had requested a gluten free layer in addition to the regular cake layers, and no one could tell that there was a difference! DEFINITELY recommend them, especially for anyone needing gluten free cakes.

When we were looking for cakes, we weren't sure where exactly to go & then we heard about the cake tasting at Reeves Cake Shop. That was all we needed - after trying at least 6 different cakes we went with the "Bumble-Bee" flavor - it was delicious!! Then once we knew what flavor we wanted next was how to decorate - I took a picture of one that I found online & they did it exact, with our colors and everthing. We were so pleased with the way things turned out.

Our chocolate peanut butter cake with whipped cream frosting was amazing! Just like when we tasted it almost a year before. Can't wait to eat the top layer in December!

I got cupcakes for my shower and my wedding cake from Reeves. Both times I really enjoyed everything. I even brought in a picture for my wedding cake that I found and it was duplicated to perfection. Nice Job!

Reeves has provided the cake for my sister, brother, and my wedding. We have had nothing but positive things to say about the company and their cakes. Our cake was three different flavors and two different fillings. It was delicious and very reasonably priced! They also were running a special at the time we booked for a free grooms cake. We love Reeves and will continue to use them for all of our cake needs in the future!

This cake is awesome!!! We went around and tasted cakes at about 5 local bakeries before choosing this one. This cake was not only the best-tasting one, but also one of the most affordable one's. They win all kinds of awards and we know why! They have free tastings once a month and let you taste tons of flavors. They make their cakes from scratch, not freezing them and making way ahead of time. They did an awesome job of decorating it, just as we brought in with a picture. For the price, you can't beat it. We were able to get a different flavor and filling for every layer (and even get gourmet flavors for the prices that other bakeries want for a simple white cake and basic filling). The only thing I will say is that we were discouraged at every bakery to get the number of servings as our actual number of guests coming. They all say that a lot gets thrown away as some people won't have cake. Well, we didn't feel comfortable not having a peice of cake for every guest so we went ahead and ordered a peice for everyone. I understand this is nice of the bakery to actually not want to make you spend more than you need too. But, glad I followed my own thinking as our cake was all gone in less than 10 minutes. People loved it! We also had cupcakes, sugar cookies, baklava and a candy buffet and we only came home with a little bit of candy. So, don't always listen to the experts, you have to know your own guests too. Anyway, we loved this cake and thought they did an awesome job for us. We were told by many, our cake almost looked fake it was so beautiful. We had fresh peonies and brooches and ribbon on it with our monogram. We had a vintage-theme wedding and it just looked gorgeous. We rented a silver antique looking cake plateau stand from Miller's Party Rental for like $12 and that made it look awesome too! I wanted a crooked cake from the time I got engaged (I was engaged 21 months). I found a picture of one I wanted and carried it around in my purse the whole time. They duplicated it perfectly! It was a beautiful cake and it tasted great too!

Reeves cakes are amazing. My great grandmother was a caterer and used these cakes for weddings she did and I was able to have them make a cake for my wedding. It was very special. The cake not only tasted wonderful, but it also was beautiful.

This has always been my families preferred cake shop. We love their cakes and our wedding cake was just as good. The decorations were spot on, I loved it. Unfortunately I didn't really get a slice of cake besides the one small piece my husband shoved up my nose because our guests ate the whole thing! It must have been good! So now I will have to wait a whole year before I get to taste our cake, but I am sure it was delicious.

Reeves Cake shop made my wedding cake for my wedding on 6/6/15. The cake tasted wonderful! We got two different flavors, almond cake with raspberry filling and dark chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. I am a peanut butter and chocolate fanatic and the flavors were excellent. We had them deliver the cake to the hall in Akron and they put our cake topper on before the reception. The cake was beautiful! my only complaint would be that the colors that I asked for were a little off on the finished product. I gave them a turquoise ribbon to put around the layers and asked that the gumpaste flowers be made in corresponding shades of turquoise. The colors ended up being more blue than turquoise and the flowers were made in white and them sprayed with the color. I felt like the spray could have been used for a little better coverage so not as much of the white base color would show through. It is really a minor complaint, but the cake didn't look quite like the photo I had given them. In terms of pricing, they were pretty much on par with other vendors in the area.

My family has been using Reeves for birthdays and special occasions for about 20 years. I was nervous at first about their prices, since they price by the serving, but they were really understanding and recommended a smaller cake with sheet cakes. She had a great recommendation for the groom's cake that also kept my price low, and when they turned up at the reception I couldn't have been more excited! Brett loved his cake, and the wedding cake was beautiful.

Reeves was very easy to work with. They were willing to do any design that I brought to them. Our only complaint was the cake appeared to be leaning a bit. However, our cake was not the focal point to the wedding so we were not bothered by it.

Reeve's Cake Top Shop was amazing! Not only was my cake beautiful but it also tasted amazing. Although slightly pricey, it was worth it because the people were so polite and helpful. My cake was promptly delivered all the way to Navarre and I couldn't have asked for a better hometown bakery!

This is definitely the best cake shop in Akron! I had a unique design idea for my cake, and they were on board from day one. They even did what I asked down to the tiniest detail! I asked for a cake with musical notes around it, and I sent them specific music to copy---and they did it! So "our song" was the music drawn around our cake! It was really unique. What was also unique was the cake flavor. I was able to have spice cake with apple filling, a combination that all my guests said was the best they'd ever had! The only problem was that not all of my guests got cake. The bakery didn't warn me that the spice cake was too crumbly for standard "wedding-sized" pieces, so my caterer had to cut pieces a little bigger to keep them from falling apart. I wouldn't have minded that, but I'd have ordered a bigger cake if I knew that was the case. Overall, we were really pleased with the appearance and quality of the cake, as were all my guests.

It took us a while to decide what kind of cake that we wanted but as soon as we tasted Reeves cakes we immediately made up out minds. It had a different taste than the other cakes and it was exactly what we were looking for! we had just a normal white cake with strawberry filling and it tasted amazing! To turn just a simple cake into something that will always been remember takes talent and Reeves Cake Shop has just that. They were very friendly when we went into the building to order our cake and had an answer for every question we asked. They made sure that everything was written down exactly the way we wanted it and we left knowing our cake was in good hands. And they also delivered to our reception hall which took a huge stress off our backs. The decorations were exactly what we had pictured in our head and then some! For anyone looking for a cake for any occasion I would lead them in the way to Reeves Cake Shop!

Reeves does a great job with cakes. The cake itself was a huge hit; everyone loved to flavors. However, I was disappointed with what was done with our cake topper.

The cake tasted wonderful! I was a little suprised to see that the cake wasnt slightly larger. But the design was exactly what I asked for. I wish it didnt cost quite so much but my guest loved it , I loved it & my groom loved it.

I think I took the groom (and my matron of honor) tasting at 3 different locations before we went to Reeves. They were by far the best tasting cake. Beautifully decorated. We went with Almond Cake with Cherry filling and the spice cake with cream cheese filling (all with cream cheese frosting) for the main cake, and then the chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and a fudge icing for the groom's cake.

Everyone loved them. Cakes were beautiful. Everything was great.

I took in pictures, color swatches, and ideas for the cake.....what they gave me was unbelievable! The cake was more than I imagined it would be! Everyone said they had never seen a cake like ours! Not only was it beautiful, it was so good!! I would recommend Reeve's to anyone!!

My wedding cake looked amazing! Better than I expected. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and they made it look even better. You can pick any flavors of cake that you want, and you can attend open houses they host to try the different flavors. The cake itself tasted good. My husband thought it could have been a little more moist. The only downside is the cost. If you book with Occasions Party Center, you think you are getting a deal but it's still very pricey! I guess that's what you get when you order a wedding cake though.

Our wedding cake looked even better than in the picture I gave to Reeve's to use. I was so happy with how it looked and tasted! The only thing I was unhappy about was the first time I showed them the photo of the cake I wanted they told me I would have to used rolled fondant and provide the little bows used to decorate the cake. (There were a lot of little black bows on the cake...they wanted us to actually give them the bows to use, even though in the photo they were made of icing) I almost changed the design of the cake because they were so inflexible at first about using fondant instead of regular icing and the bows - so glad I didn't because when we had another meeting about the cake with a different employee they told us we did not need fondant and they could pipe the bows on with icing. They need much better communication if one employee says no while another says yes. I am glad I did not change my cake design based on the first consultation. While this was annoying, I would absolutely recommend them as the final product looked and tasted great! Just know that if one person says "No" another that works there might say "Yes".

It was a delicious cake. I just ordered a little cake for my husband and I to cut since we were on a tight budget. It seemed that they didn't put a lot of time into decorated the cake and making it look nice since we weren't ordering a big cake.

This cake was fantastic! It smells so good when you walk in and everything is beautiful! They worked with me on my design and everything was lovely and so yummy!! It is one of my favorite bakerys and all their baked goods are delicious. Their pricing is good as well. I recommend them to anyone!!!

They did a great job and I was very happy with the cake at our wedding. It was sometimes a little difficult to get ahold of them, but it was completely worth it for our wonderful cake.

The invitations took a lot longer to come in than I was told. (About 4 weeks longer, which could have been a problem if I wouldn't have ordered them early). The cake was beautiful and for the most part it was really good, however i did have it decorated with icing roses that were HARD as rock and not very good, but everyone just picked them off and enjoyed the rest of the cake.

Unless you order a specialized cake, beware of quality issues

Feeling nostalgic, I ordered a small almond flavored white cake with raspberry filling to pick up today 7/3/2020, for a small gathering tomorrow. 12 years ago, I was at Reeves for a cake tasting and was quite pleased. I ordered over the phone and that was fine. I was so excited about the cake, I wanted to try a slice prior to my guests as no one would ever know. 😉
So, I wanted to taste each part of the cake prior to having a complete bite. The buttercream frosting tasted nice. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, although the frosting was a little hard. The raspberry filling was DREADFUL! It tasted artificial, like a cheap brand that came from a can. I've made raspberry filling several times before, and expected this filling to taste familiar. It did NOT. It reminded me of the artificial flavoring of raspberry zingers, no good. The flavor of the cake was a nice as it was a light almond taste that was not at all overpowering. The actual cake was VERY DRY AND VERY CRUMBLY! It tasted as if they baked it several days to a week prior, assembled, frosted and put in the fridge to wait for someone to purchase it. I did also post photos.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER ORDER FROM REEVES CAKE SHOP. I ordered this for a small gathering and I didn't want to spend the time baking the cake myself with all the other party duties I need to complete. Unfortunately, I will have to bake a similar cake, but making the raspberry filling from scratch (which is super simple to do) as I refuse to serve this dry, artificial filling flavored cake to my dearest friends. BUYER BEWARE if you aren't ordering a custom cake. You may end up with a pre-made, dry, artificial filling cake that you WILL NOT like.
