Reese joined our wedding plans just two weeks before the big day, stepping in as our videographer — and honestly, we couldn’t have been luckier. From the very start, he went above and beyond, taking the time to connect with my now husband and me through multiple calls to learn who we are and what truly mattered to us.
On the wedding day, Reese fit in seamlessly. He was warm, friendly, and felt like part of our crew. His energy lifted everyone’s spirits and made the day even more special.
The footage he captured left us speechless. Reese created an 11-minute highlight reel with beautiful Super 8 film that perfectly reflected the emotion and joy of the day. At several points throughout the day, he even had my husband and me film each other with the Super 8 camera — a creative touch that brought out real, unfiltered expressions between us. It was such an intimate and genuine experience, and something we’ll never forget.
Beyond that, he filmed the full ceremony, recorded clear audio from the speeches, and even gathered interviews from our guests — something that will only mean more as time goes on. On top of that, he shared stunning stills he took throughout the day.
When we watched the video for the first time, we both teared up. It brought us right back — every smile, every laugh, every moment. As two people who work in film, we were genuinely impressed by his eye, storytelling, and dedication. Reese didn’t just document our wedding — he captured it. We’ll always be grateful. -

Perfect Choice
I cannot talk about how amazing it was to work with Reese & Renee. From our first phone conversation that made my husband and I feel like someone finally understood what we were looking for in our photos, to our meeting before the wedding, to our welcome party photos, and our entire day. Everything ran so smoothly with them. They truly captured the love that we share with not only each other but our friends and family as well. We received nonstop compliments on how personable they were with our guests and one of them felt like they ever got “in the way”. They even joined us on the dance floor. Working with Reese & Renee was the best time ever and we are so thankful for that experience. -

I cannot emphasize enough how glad my husband and I are that we hired Reese and Renee to photograph our wedding! Seriously, Reese was a highlight of the day, making everyone (including my husband and I) feel so comfortable and in the moment. He captured the day exactly as we wanted, with all of the emotions and love and excitement. We especially loved that he paid attention to what and who were important to us, and even took the time to remember the names of our bridal parties and immediate family members. So many of our guests have highlighted how Reese added so much to the day and captured the moments perfectly. Reese and Renee Photographers- The Best Experience of Our Wedding!
When we say working with Reese & Renee was our favorite part of the entire wedding process, WEAREN'T KIDDING! Weddings are such an intimate part of a couples' life - it's full of emotions (good and stressful) on top of moments that typically don't get to be relived. From our first phone call conversation to 10 months post wedding the answer has stayed consistent: The experience with Reese and Renee was such an absolute treat. Their way of working, the nature of their expertise and most importantly how they approach every minute and moment with such human nature is unmatched. They made both of us feel so naturally in love when capturing such intimate moments. It was never uncomfortable or forced and we swear there were always surprises along the way. The experience was absolutely worth the investment and we continue to recommend Reese and Renee to EVERYONE. The way they connected with our wedding party, friends and even the non-english speaking grandmothers - they went above and beyond throughout the entire experience. It's been such a wonderful experience knowing Reese and Renee and we're looking forward to a future photoshoot and reunion here soon :) -

Truly, we cannot imagine a more perfect photographer than Reese for our special day. We met Reese at our friends' wedding, and immediately knew that we wanted to work with him for ours! He met with us virtually (and worked with our very busy schedules!) multiple times during the planning process to learn what was important to my husband and I. He asked genuine questions about us, our families and our lives so that he could document this in his work.
Multiple family members and bridal party members commented on how wonderful he was and how comfortable everyone felt on our wedding day. We were blown away at the quality of the photos- true, genuine and emotional moments from the whole weekend. Our matted photos turned out beautifully and the album is beyond wonderful- we are so grateful to Reese!
Of note, both my husband and I come from tall families, and didn't realize how great that would be with a tall photographer!
We cannot wait to work with Reese again for family photos and we would HIGHLY recommend him to any couple! -

I couldn't imagine a better wedding photographer - seriously. We contacted Reese alongside a few other photographers early in our wedding planning process and Reese completely stood out to us not only becuase of his amazing portfolio of images but because of his warm and easy personality.
Then, 6 months later when COVID hit and we had to postpone our wedding Reese was incredibly professional, calm, and flexible with us through an uncertain time. We ended up picking a new date with only 3 months notice and Reese was so helpful and flexible adapting to our new plans.
During the actual wedding, Reese was amazing. He captured every special moment and everything felt so genuine. Even when it started downpouring during our outdoor ceremony Reese had a positive attitude that was totally infectious. He even made my mom, who is not very comfortable in front of the camera, feel at ease and now we have AMAZING photos with her that mean so much.
Reese really took the time to understand our family dynamics and unique situations and his care and attention I think come through in the moments he captured. We LOVE our wedding photos and we feel so lucky to have gotten to work with Reese! -

Intimate and artistic memories, captured for a lifetime!
There are so many fantastic things to say about Reese & Renee that it’s hard to know where to start!!
We wanted candid, artistic, and intimate photos capturing our wedding day, and thought that might be difficult to find; needless to say, we were blown away by the work of Reese and Reene when they were recommended to us. I felt like I personally knew all of the people and places in their photos after looking through their albums on their website!!
We worked individually with Reese; leading up to the wedding day, we felt incredibly encouraged and supported. Even through a move from Hawaii to Michigan and the addition of two new family members, we STILL felt like a priority, and knew we were always on the same page. He had such great advice and sentiments about marriage and how to best savor our special day while we were in the moment, and we absolutely cherished that.
When the big day rolled around, we couldn’t have been in better hands, and every one of our guests thought so too! Everyone felt so at ease, and that energy showed up in his absolutely stunning photography.
We are beyond grateful to have such beautifully-captured memories of our wedding, and I can’t recommend Reese highly enough!! -

We were fortunate enough to work with both Reese and Renee on our wedding day. Reese and Renee are so down to earth and kind, they made us feel incredibly at ease throughout the day, helping to keep us on track but also reminding us to slow down and take in the moments that would pass so quickly. Reese and Renee knew when to take charge and when to blend into the background in the best of ways, which allowed them to capture even the most intimate of moments between us and our friends and family - moments we will truly cherish for a lifetime. We first contacted Reese & Renee after seeing their work online. The quality and style of their images stood out in a crowd of wedding photographers. We were looking for a candid-style wedding photographer with a relaxed style that’s both modern and timeless.
Their vibe aligned exactly with what we were seeking. After speaking with them over the phone, it became clear that we had found a great match, both in terms of style and personality.
The connection and ease we found with them shows through in the final product. We are generally very awkward and have a tendency to pull silly faces the minute a camera is in our vicinity. Reese knew exactly how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend.
We also did an engagement shoot before the wedding and the pictures turned out amazing! It was useful to practice posing and working together ahead of our wedding. We have the most beautiful photos from that magical time right before the big day.
They really captured every moment of the day and was able to tell a story through the pictures. We are SO thankful we were able to work with them and definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone! -

Wonderful wedding photographer!
When we started our search for a wedding photographer, we were in over our heads. We decided that above all, we wanted a photographer to capture authentic and not overly edited moments. With Reese, we got that and so much more! He is one of the nicest and most authentic people we have ever met, and he is wonderful at his job! Reese was very helpful and responsive leading up to our wedding. He brought a lot of experience and suggestions to the table while still allowing us to build our own ideal day. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and handled family dynamics with ease. He also seemed to be around to capture every single shot - and had a blast through it all! And, as we had hoped, our pictures turned out authentically beautiful. We really cannot say enough good things about him, and highly recommend him! -

When you set out to hire a wedding/engagement photographer, sometimes you get lucky and you find yourself with a photographer who just happens to do wedding/engagement shoots. Saying that about Reese would still be selling him short. He's amaazzzinggg. He's a true artist, but it also feels like he could be your next door neighbor. Naturally charming and extremely professional. He's noticeably having a ball behind the camera and it's contagious! Reese is also one of the kindest, most thoughtful, and genuine people that you'll find on the island. We were lucky enough to book Reese for an engagement shoot back in February. That shoot was incredible. Just check out the shots in the water taken by Reese while on his surfboard!
We have him and his wife booked for our larger wedding celebration next year and we absolutely cannot wait!! We couldn't be more confident in his ability, his eye, and his infectious enthusiasm. -

I found Reese & Renee through Instagram, my now husbands family had recommendations but none of them had the look I wanted. Then I used a hashtag for Oahu photographers and after lots of scrolling I stumbled onto their page. I was instantly in love with their work. I’m so happy we took a chance on them, Reese was open and honest the whole way through and answered every single question I had. We had a super helpful FaceTime meeting with him on our day of timeline, and that helped us so much. Day of It was more like Reese was a family member than someone there to take pictures. He meshed so well and I feel like you see it in our pictures. Thank you both for capturing the most gorgeous memories of an unforgettable day. -

It was a pleasure to work with Reese for my surprise proposal photo session.
Reese was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. I was pretty nervous when trying to figure out the details, Reese email me back quickly even though it was during the Christmas holidays. He gave a lot of thoughts and advice, and even set up a online meeting to make sure we communicated well about our plan.
The proposal turned out a huge success. Reese made this session fun and easy. And the photos are impeccable.
Overall, I feel like I'm working with a friend who cares a lot about what the photos mean to me and my fiancee. I highly recommend Reese. -

What a wonderful morning
Reese and Renee did such an amazing job and provided us with gorgeous photos! Reese was very helpful and accommodating with planning out every detail for our surprise proposal photo session. All the emails and especially the video call was extremely helpful in getting every detail just right so we knew exactly what was going to happen the morning of the session. Reese made sure everything went perfectly and offered suggestions to make the photos even better. After the session we met Renee who is also very delightful! Reese and Renee are very friendly and take beautiful photos and we would definitely go back to them. We can't recommend them enough, they did an amazing job capturing a morning we will never forget! -

Great Save the Date session
Our experience with Reese and Renee was perfect! Reese called us a few weeks before our session to get to know us, which made us feel comfortable. I can't say enough about how awesome it was to work with Reese and Renee. They immediately felt like part of the family - so much so, in fact, that most of my friends thought they were either friends or family. It was exactly what we wanted. The pictures perfectly captured the day, and even though I can't deny there were a few rocky moments, you'd have no idea by looking through our wedding album. We can only highly recommend Reese & Renee. When we decided to get married in Hawaii just my husband, myself and our 2 children (thousand miles from our home in France!) and started our researches to organize our wedding, we found them on Instagram. When we saw their unbelievable skills we decided to get in touch with them. From the beginning they have been so friendly and soooo helpful answering all kinds of questions a non-local would ask! And believe us, we had tons of questions! If it wasn´t for them our wedding would not have been the same at all. From the spot to the best ceremony officiant and all the advice they gave us, our wedding was thanks to them the 3rd most beautiful day of our lives together with the birth of our 2 children. Thanks to Reese I was feeling so calm and happy because I knew he had everything under control. He did an amazing job with our kids, capturing the funniest and also the most emotional moments. We really can´t thank him enough for being there and transcribing so well our emotions, especially for all our relatives & friends who were not here with us. My partner and I planned a destination wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii and spent a ton of time researching photographers online. Our approach for selecting a wedding day photographer was pretty pragmatic: we wanted two photographers, we wanted to feel good about the overall aesthetic of their work, and we didn't want to spend thousands and thousands of dollars for photos (which is really easy to do when hiring a wedding photographer).
There are A LOT of extremely talented photographers in Hawaii, so making a decision was incredibly hard. We found Reese and Renee's site pretty early on in our search, and were immediately struck by the emotion they were able to capture through their candid and photojournalistic style. This being said, there were other photographers we also liked, so we reached out to them all in an effort to make an informed decision for our big day. R&R were super responsive and genuinely friendly in all of their communication with us from the get-go - this is something I can't say about all of the photographers we contacted - "island time" is a very real thing. Pricing packages for photographers in Hawaii also seem to vary quite wildly, which is something else we had to factor in to our decision.
After a couple weeks of communicating with some photographers, we’d narrowed our decision down to two different options - R&R being one of them - and actually booked with the other choice.
Long story short, I reached out to the photographers we’d contracted with about 3 months prior to our wedding date to check-in with them about logistics, etc. At this time, we were informed that they could no longer commit to our wedding date.
I immediately followed up with R&R and we were relieved to find out they were available for our wedding date. I felt weird about reaching out to them and explaining our situation after having told them six months earlier that we’d made another decision - but they were so kind and gracious and remembered so many details from our initial conversation still that it ended up being not weird at all. We had a FaceTime convo with them and completed an online questionnaire they sent us to get to know us better. My partner and I generally hate this kind of performative acting rigamarole but R&R made it pretty painless.
When R&R showed up on the Big Island for our wedding in March 2019, it really did feel like they were old friends. They were funny and charismatic and blended in so naturally with the chaos of our day that there were times we forgot they were there with their cameras.
We got a sneak peek the day after our wedding, and the whole edited gallery was completed and sent to us 3 weeks later. We are so, so, sooooo very happy with our photos! We’ve looked at them a zillion times in the past few months and feel so incredibly grateful that we chose R&R to capture these memories for us. It is clear that R&R sincerely listened to everything we said in our initial conversations about who we are, what we were looking for, and what we hoped our wedding, and wedding photos, would turn out like. Despite the initial panic of having our first photographers canceling on us, the outcome could not have been happier - we love R&R and each and every photo that they took of us and our loved ones on our wedding day. These two are pure magic behind the lens, and they have a truly intuitive and organic sense of capturing images that are timeless, beautiful, authentic, and even a little cheeky at times.
100% recommend R&R for whatever your photography needs may be. They are easy to work with, boundlessly talented, and genuinely heartfelt and loving people. -

We couldn't recommend these guys highly enough!
Reese and Renee were beyond amazing right from the start! They were a huge help with suggestions on wedding and honeymoon planning in Hawaii. Even though Renee couldn't be part of our day ( due to the arrival of their beautiful daughter the evening before) Reese kept us completely up to date with what was happening and had a brilliant stand in ready to go without skipping a beat.
Our main aim for the day was to capture the emotion and off hand moments which are so present in all of our wedding photos. When we look back through our photos we are instantly taken back to feelings of the day.
I could not recommend Reese & Renee highly enough and there will be no regrets if you decide to have them as part of your big day! -

They were in constant communication and were very accommodating when trying to make sure the weather was perfect for a sunset proposal. My fiance and I felt a bit awkward at first since we're not used to getting photos taken but they made it SO easy. They are so super friendly and funny and let us enjoy our special moment while documenting in the background. It's now been a couple weeks and the images came out beautifully. We're so excited and proud to share them with our family and friends! We can't thank R&R enough for capturing one of the happiest moments of our lives! 110% recommend them! -

My now-wife and I were having a photoshoot in the meadow just before a gathering of golden and red aspen trees, when Reese shared with us the perfect description of what we were feeling for each other. All the while, Renee would give voice to compliments that meshed so perfectly. This combination of narrating radiated through our bodies, and looking back on these specific photos (actually all of them from the weekend...), we are able relive the newfound eagerness that was coursing through us newlyweds, which, gentlemen, is a great start to any romantic evening...
When we "hired" Reese & Renee, we had no idea what all was to come. Me, being the naive husband on topics like this for wedding planning, thought that they would just be a couple that took our photographs. Almost immediately, I realized that my expectations were unbelievably shallow. From the first phone call, to that very moment in the meadow, I felt like my wife and I were more prepared for each other than we could have ever been. On top of that, our entire wedding guest list could not believe how amazing their experience was when they interacted with R&R. I truly wish Reese & Renee lived in our hometown so that we could continuously thrive off their positivity and utmost love for each other.

Beyond incredible photos, they are lovely people that you will want to be friends with for life. (Trust me, you spend your entire wedding day with your photographer, you want to like them!) They really took the time to get to know us as a couple, made sure our photos were "us", and made us completely comfortable.
