We had our daughter's wedding at the Red Barn Villa and it was amazing. The setting is so romantic and the venue is beautiful. Angie and the staff were so great to work with and made sure to create a very special day. I would highly recommend it!

We can't say enough about our choice of Red Barn Villa for our wedding! The venue is simply gorgeous and perfectly maintained. We understood all the details of the contract before signing. The venue coordinator, Angie, was extremely organized. She was very responsive to e-mails or text messages and quickly answered our many questions along the way. We used several of their recommended vendors and they did not disappoint! The day of the wedding they were set up and ready to go on time and everything went smoothly! I would highly recommend checking this venue out!

Not only is this venue beautiful, but they are also so accommodating and helpful during the wedding planning. Angie was so kind throughout the planning experience and made everything fun smoothly on my wedding day. If there were any hiccups, I had no idea. She was also able to be flexible with some of the last minute changes I made.
I would definitely recommend RedBarn Villa as a great outdoor venue.

Great team of people, who know what they are doing, and have been doing it for a long time. Tend to your needs, as soon as you communicate them. They paint the perfect picture of exactly what you want! Couldn't ask for a better team to work with, or a better more beautiful venue for the wedding of my dreams ! 10/10 reccomend!

We LOVED the Red Barn Villa! Angie was very responsive to texts and emails and was able to make me feel comfortable and calm before the wedding. They also really listened to what we wanted and designed it perfectly!

Simply put, AMAZING VENUE AND STAFF! Staff is quick to respond, easy to work with. Venue is conveniently located and offers all sorts of services, including decorations. I highly recommend to everyone looking for an unforgettably amazing wedding experience.

Red Barn Villa made my wedding dream wedding day come true! The owners were very kind genuine people, the coordinator met with me many times and answered every question I had. On my actual wedding day they went above and beyond to make sure it was everything I wanted! The guests couldn't stop raving about the delicious food (red barn provided, part of the package I chose) the setting wasn't something from a movie scene. Recommending this venue to all of my friends and family!!! Thank you again!!!

Our daughter recently had her wedding at Red Barn Villa, from start to finish the whole experience was great, the venue is beautiful, they set everything up exactly as we wanted. The food was very good with a large menu to choose from, everything is brand new and clean. It's nice to have a big beautiful venue so close to Oregon City, but feels like country. I would definitely recommend this place.

Our huge, 300 people wedding was in the beginning of June. We started planning it 6 months prior, and for all this time the stress was minimal because these guys took care of everything! I had a perfect wedding in mind and they made it even better than I could imagine. The view is gourgeous, the food is the best I've ever tried, all the decorations were beyond expectations. It's been a month but our guests are still talking about our wedding, everyone was absolutely in love with every detail! I'm so happy with the way it turned out, they are great and professional people! I would so recommend you to get married there!!

The barn style wedding is awesome, very great place to do a wedding, the scenery is just beautiful especially in the summer!! I had my wedding here and I loved every second of it, the owners were super friendly and did a great job on everything, food, decorations etc.

All of the staff at Red Barn Villa are absolutely wonderful! We planned our wedding in three months and they made the process so easy! It was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the decor was spot on! They have adorable bride and groom rooms and very clean bathrooms for my guests! They made sure my day was perfect and it was! My husband and I only have great things to say about the Red Barn Villa! Check them out!

This Venue and Angie were so unbelievably helpful, patient, flexible, and kind during the process of planning my wedding. Angie was always there to answer any questions that I had and was more than accommodating the day of my wedding! Red Barn Villa was the perfect venue for us - gorgeous views and plenty of space for what we were looking for. My wedding day was SO wonderful because of them!

This venue was stunning and Angie was so helpful in every aspect! She was very quick to respond to my questions and genuinely cared for us and our desires! The venue is quite expensive but they provide a lot, and I loved that my family and friends didn’t have to come and set up and clean up everything, the venue team took care of it all! We chose to have our own decorator, florist and caterer which was awesome to have as an option!! Overall the experience was great! We had our dream wedding!!

The Red Barn Villa is a truly gorgeous venue. There are so many options for where to be married in the property. The grounds are amazing with water features, bridges, beautiful landscaping -even a forest. The staff were great to work with. The only thing I would have wished for were bigger bride and groom quarters-they were a little tight. Highly recommend!

My husband and I found Red Barn online in November/December of 2019. We were aiming for an outdoor Fall wedding, and the property for Red Barn was absolutely beautiful from the accommodations, the scenery of the surrounding forest, to the water, the gardens, and of course, the barn itself.

We reached out and scheduled a visit with the coordinator. The day of the visit we arrived, the coordinator had forgotten, but said we could walk around the site. It was no big deal, the day was kind of gray, but we could get a sense of what the property was, so we decided to go forward. We did have another meeting, and signed the contract for September 13th.

A couple months later, covid hit, and we were in limbo about the wedding and evolving government regulations. However, we kept informed of the changes and adapted as needed, they were flexible and we were comfortable moving forward together.

So far, pretty good experience, you might be wondering why the low rating, but the turn happened a month leading up to the date. All of our vendors were booked and deposits all made. We had paid Red Barn ~$4500.

The first issue was that the in-house catering was no longer available, but we weren’t made aware of the fact. We frantically searched for another catering, and were fortunate enough to find Cheryl’s on 12th. So, again, no big deal really, just momentary panic.

Mon Sept 7th, however, issues started escalating. The huge Riverside fire was choking half the state, and with an outside venue, we were getting extremely concerned that this was becoming an impossibility.

Thurs Sept 10th, the venue was in level 3 evacuation, our house was in level 2. Family was in the process of arriving from out of state, or traveling from around Oregon. We reach out and they say that maybe we can reschedule, or just see how things turn out.

Our vendors started calling. The catering would not travel to Oregon City, nor would the bartender, the florist, the baker, or the DJ. None of the vendors were willing to put their employees' health at risk to fulfill the business, and neither were we.

So we changed venues to SE Portland. One indoors with heavy ventilation. We made it work, our vendors could still do business in a nice area, and our guests didn’t spend a lot of money and time making it out to our wedding for nothing.

We had heard nothing from Red Barn after the text mentioned above.

Here’s where things soured greatly:

My husband reached out to Red Barn a few days after the wedding asking for a refund, and offered to pay ~$540 for their time of the meetings. There was a lot of back and forth. After months of negotiation, they said they would give back 50%, but with small payments over a period of time. That negotiation fell through, and Red Barn said they would only give back the deposit ($500).

My husband is a realtor and at the time had a client in Tillamook. He spent over 40 hours working with the client, found them a house, got it under contract, and in the end, the clients backed out. He was entitled to his commission (around $5500), but he didn’t want to put his clients in a bad position, understood that it is part of business, and moved on. He relayed this to Red Barn, and they stated they were much like realtors in that they do all this work in preparation for a wedding, so they are entitled to the money.


Their communication was often condescending, talking about how lenient they were being with us, how generous they had been with their offers in the negotiation (i.e. “we don’t generally offer this, but…”)

What they were particularly insistent upon, was that the wedding could’ve been held at their venue. That there was no reason for us to even cancel in the first place (but, as they stated numerous times, “it was your right to make a different decision”), despite the repeated response that literally no vendors were going to be there. We weren’t going to put our guests, our vendors, or their employees in that situation. The air quality was at the most hazardous level, and still in evacuation.

Over a year later, they responded with, “we even purchased a powerful air filter, the air in the barn was better than in our own house.” Knowledge we were never offered at any point. However, this is a barn. With wedding traffic, of guests, vendors, employees, no insulation, slim walls, it would be impossible. Our vendors would not be in attendance, and everyone would be subjected to some of the highest levels of air pollutants with its proximity to the fires.

In difficult times, we are presented with people’s true character. The venue is lovely, the coordinator was nice enough, and we never actually met the owners. The odds of another pandemic and wildfires happening to sabotage your wedding day are indeed nearly zero, but going through it ourselves, we discovered that the owners of Red Barn have one priority above all else, where our vendors' owners did not: Profit over people. And apathy for an incredibly challenging situation.

If this rating would be just on the venue itself it would be a 5 star review, but every bride knows that a venue is more then the place but how you get treated.
I was treated unprofessionally and honestly pretty rudely.
The wedding coordinator was very challenging to work with; her demeanor and short responses was an obstacle for everyone involved with the wedding.
Things were added and taken away from our contract after we signed. Napkins were forgotten on the wedding day. And we were not told about the prices up front. There were a lot of additional costs we didn’t know about. Like adding the arch would cost us extra (though she told us it would be included verbally) then on the day I was paying she mentioned that we needed to bring an extra $500 for a refundable deposit.

Wedding seasons are stressful and I would recommend a venue that is accommodating and kind.

The owner sounded like a nice guy but sadly we didn’t get to work with him much.
