It's hard to put into words how absolutely wonderful it was to have our 10/31 wedding at Red August. Not only is the entire property GORGEOUS, but the owners, Debbie and Mark, are so lovely and amazing to work with. They're so flexible, professional, and genuinely care about every couple's experience. They made sure we had whatever resources we needed to have a successful day.
When you book you get the venue for a whole weekend. It was perfect to have our rehearsal in on Friday. Additionally, I was able to stay in the beautiful bridal suite over night. Having the whole weekend also ensures that you won't have to rush to clean up after your wedding!
We really cannot recommend this venue enough! -

The Perfect Day at the Perfect Venue
Red August created a stunning backdrop for my daughter and her new husband's wedding! The owners were so friendly, flexible, and attentive to our every need or want! The beautiful buildings and perfectly manicured grounds created the perfect picture for the perfect day! -

Most gorgeous wedding venue!
Debbie and her husband at Red August Farm are so kind. Having our wedding there was so amazing and the best experience we could have ever asked for. They worked with us on everything. Debbie even came out on the setup day and gave us helpful tips. I wish we could get married all over again just to experience it one more time. Absolutely wonderful people and venue all around. 10 out of 10! -

Perfect Wedding
You will not find a more beautiful location or amazing owners to work with when planning your wedding. The owners are so helpful and go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect. Their experience even helped with cool ideas we’d never considered. Our daughter was blown away with the venue — the barn is amazing and the bridal suite was ideal for preparation and relaxing prior to the ceremony. This place is the total package for a one stop, all inclusive location. The rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception in one perfect place! We are so glad we picked Red August Farm to make this forever memory for our family. -

We had an amazing experience with Red August Farm! It is such a beautiful venue, and it was so nice that we had it available the whole weekend. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner and wedding there, and both were absolutely beautiful! There is a lovely bridal suite that my bridesmaids and I stayed at the night before and got ready there the day of. It was very convenient to be able to stay on site. There is also a place for the groom and his groomsmen to get ready the day of the wedding. The owners are so sweet and helpful, and were always quick to answer any questions or requests we had. They gave great advice for vendors, and were overall just wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking! -

Red August is a beautiful venue that was perfect for our special day! We were able to have the ceremony outside in front of the gorgeous fireplace, then cocktail hour underneath the barn and then our reception inside the barn that fit our 165 guests very well. The owners were very accommodating and the bridal suite was the perfect spot to get ready! -

Red August was the perfect place for our wedding ceremony and reception. Debbie was super helpful and flexible! Red August is also the only barn venue in the area that I felt was large enough to comfortably have the ceremony and reception inside in case of rain, which made the weather one less thing to worry about! -

Our daughter just got married at Red August Farm on June 15th and everything was amazing! The venue is simply beautiful and Mark and Debbie are a pleasure to work with. Debbie always responded quickly to any questions we had. We loved that you have access to the venue the entire weekend. We hosted the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening in the bar area of the barn, catered by Vito's Italian Restaurant in Harrisonburg and it was just the right amount of space! The bridal suite is amazing! Plenty of room for the girls to relax while getting ready, with lots of mirrors and lighting. My daughter and her husband stayed there after the wedding, which was perfect. I would definitely recommend Red August Farm! -

Perfect wonderful
Can not say enough great things about Red August Farm and the owners. The very best value for the price. Was able to have everything in one place. Rehearsal and dinner to wedding and reception. Great location, not far from hotels or stores. Bridal suite is just perfect for all the girls. They spent the night before the wedding there and had a great time. Had hair and makeup done and those folks all agreed it was the best arrangement for them to work in.
Rented piano and had violinist which fit perfect into gazebo. Outside lawn, swing, driveway, flowers and lights beautiful. Inside barn perfect and specious. Tables and chairs available.
Red August Farm helped make my daughters wedding perfect and magical. -

We came away from our wedding weekend wishing we could stay at the Red August Farm forever. The property is idyllic (the pictures speak for themselves, but you have to see it in person also) and Mark and Debbie were personally one of the best parts of our wedding weekend.
In an industry where vendor mishaps/all things commercial loom over what is supposed to be one of your most intimate and personal occasions, Mark and Debbie have gotten it right. Instead of hourly fees and branding, they simply invite you to make their beautiful property your home for the weekend, and leave you alone.
For an extremely reasonable price, the property is yours Fri-Sun. You can use Friday however you like (we did some setup, held the rehearsal, cooked and BBQ'd our own rehearsal dinner food out of the guest house, and let kids run around all evening while we played games and roasted marshmallows) and you can hold the Saturday wedding on whatever timeline you wish, and as late into the night as you like (we had a lunchtime wedding and followed it up with an all-day affair of inviting people to come and go, dress casually, play games, etc...and then used the barn proper for a more traditional wedding dinner in the evening - followed by more games and marshmallow roasting). The guest house/bridal suite has all you need along the way, and most importantly Mark and Debbie are very flexible about visits for planning as the day approaches.
If you want your wedding weekend to be a special and personal event that is as free from the commercialized industry as possible, go visit the Red August Farm and meet Mark and Debbie. I cannot recommend this venue enough - we are already talking about having an anniversary party there!

Truly Spectacular
This property is truly great! The versatility to make it your own for your BIG day is so appealing. Debbie was so warm and welcoming and the bridal suite was to die for!! It is really a one stop shop...from getting ready, to ceremony to reception...everything can be done on the property! My August wedding was everything I could have asked for and more. Red August Farm was the perfect choice. -

We had an incredible experience working with Debbie and Mark at Red August Farm. Our wedding was more wonderful than we could have imagined and a great deal of that is due to this perfect venue. They were easy to work with, super friendly, and made our needs their top priority. Debbie and Mark allowed us to stop by as many times before the wedding as we needed/wanted to make sure we had every detail perfectly planned. The bridal suite was an absolute dream! We had a fantastic time getting ready and staying there. We were able to decorate the day before the wedding and hold the rehearsal on site. We never felt rushed. The barn is stunning, the patio underneath with a bar was perfect for cocktail hour, and the views are unbeatable. We can't thank Red August enough for making our wedding day unbelievably perfect!

The owners are so sweet and helpful. Plus it’s beautiful and the barn it giant which is hard to come by. Would definitely recommend!

The apartment was wonderful for the bridal party to relax and enjoy the night before, as well as being set up for hair and makeup to come to the farm that morning. It helped make things a lot less stressful. We are so happy we picked Red August for our special day!

With that being said it’s always a little scary being a venues first, as you can imagine a new venue will probably have some kinks to work out. Debbie and Mark have done a fantastic job with this place and I felt like they had been doing it for years! Everything was soooo perfect and went so smooth! They were very accommodating and were quick to answer any questions I ever had. They have done such an amazing job fixing up the place and having the bridal suite available was the cherry on top! I have had sooo many compliments on my wedding venue and how beautiful it was! My husband and I cannot day enough great things about this venue. We do and will continue to recommended Red August Farm over and over!

Perfect for our special day
Red August Farm was the first venue we looked at and I was sold! The venue is yours for the whole weekend and for a very reasonable price. The owners are flexible about pop in visits leading up to the wedding. I had my bridal photos done there in spring when the trees lining the driveway were blooming; it was gorgeous! For the wedding weekend we had our rehearsal dinner there Friday, my bridesmaids and I stayed in the bridal suite that night and Saturday were able to get ready on site, then we were able to finish cleanup Sunday morning. The venue is beautiful and our guests loved it. It was perfect for us. We’re so happy we chose Red August Farm for our special day! -

You pick a venue because it has all the things you want... amazing bridal suite, rustic yet charming barn with modern conveniences, GREAT location, all the views for perfect pictures ... yes Red August has all of this but it also has something you never consider will be an important factor... the owners ... I only officially met Mrs Battle ( I heard the mister mowing the grass and making sure everything was perfect for my daughters day in the blazing heat) ... I walked in with a question to first meet Mrs. Battle, walked up on her porch with perfectly manicured flowers and she greeted me with a big smile even though it was late and she had just canned umpteen jars of tomatoes... I told her she made me feel inadequate lol ... she was so helpful and available whenever we had a question or concern ... alot of people are most concerned with the venue which is indeed important, but even more important to me is being able to trust in the owners to be trustworthy and answer any and all questions from start to finish ... if that's important to you, this is your place ... unforgettable memories made at #redaugustfarm -
