Amazing Live Band
All the reviews you read are correct, this band is AMAZING! From our aunts and uncles to our childhood friends everyone was dancing the entire night. They played every song we wanted and much more. If you are reading this review and wondering if you should book them, YES!

Best Wedding Decision!
Recycle the Day was one of the best choices we made for our wedding, second only to marrying each other! They were a fun, energetic, and incredibly talented band. On top of that, there were numerous things that we greatly appreciated:
- Johnny was VERY easy to work with and had everything organized perfectly. Music was not a worry at all on wedding day.
- The band was very lively the entirety of the show; their dancing and involvement with the crowd made it feel very special and you could tell they were having a blast along with our guests.
- Throughout the night, they included small bits that personalized the reception to us. It kept things interesting along with all of the dancing.
We have numerous people coming to us with complements about how much they enjoyed the band. We would definitely recommend Recycle the Day to anyone looking for a band and plan on going to see them again in the future! -

Energetic & Quality
WE LOVE THEM! They were absolutely amazing! They are so much fun and project incredible energy for the whole crowd. Johnny as super easy to work with during the planning process. They do a great job of incorporating the crowd and making the bride and groom feel special. I have had numerous friends use them and I promise you, you will not regret booking RTD!!-

Best decision we made for our wedding!
When we look back at our wedding Recycle The Day is one of the MOST commented on parts of it. Everyone from our wedding party, to parents, to friends can't stop raving to us enough about how much fun they had with these guys! Most people are scared to get a band... with Recycle the Day you are in good hands and that dance floor will not be empty! They were SO much fun! Also... working with Johnny couldn't have been easier. He was quick to respond to emails and answer questions. Johnny seemed to honestly care about our day and wanting it to be special. At one point... the whole band came and introduced themselves to us. They honestly felt like friends at our wedding. THEY WERE FLAWLESS! Cannot give these guys enough praise! -

An amazing performance
Recycle the Day was the most amazing addition to our wedding reception. We received so many compliments about the energy and variety of music the band played, mixing classics with more modern Top 40 hits. They were very organized and easy to work with! Recycle the Day truly put on a performance which got even those family members I haven't seen dance out on the floor!! I HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding. -

If you have a wedding or event in which you want the most fun and high energy bad, book Recycle the Day now!!! Don't wait, make sure you get them booked. We had them for our wedding at Brookfield Zoo and they were fantastic. Johnny was very easy to work with in planning beforehand, we had no problems. His responses were very timely. The bad set up the audio equipment and handled the recorded music for our ceremony flawlessly. They MC'd the reception intros with recorded music and it was perfect. Then they completely rocked the reception. They played nearly nonstop taking one pretty short break in which they had recorded music. Everyone was dancing and we loved it so much! They were also very friendly. I would love to attend anything in which they were playing to hear them rock out again! -

Packed dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG!
After checking out these guys at a rehearsal show in downtown Chicago, we immediately hired them nearly a year before our wedding. During that year, Johnny answered countless of my e-mails in a timely manner. RTD ran the music for our ceremony (we provided to them on a flash drive) and then played emcee throughout the night before their big three-hour performance. Their talent, energy, and overall "fun-ness" is unmatched. The entire night, our guests kept coming up to us telling us how amazing the band was. At one point someone said to me, "I didn't know we were going to a concert tonight!". They rocked the house and we had a packed dance floor THE ENTIRE EVENING. At one point, I (the bride) was on my knees playing air guitar with the band. That's how energizing they are! My only regret is that we couldn't have them play longer. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun, lively cover band at their event/wedding! -

Exceeded All My Expectations!
We can't say enough good things about this band, they were INCREDIBLE & exceeded all of our expectations! They interacted with our crowd, & took our reception to another level. They made us feel special incorporating our names in songs & pulled us & guests up on stage. We had all ages at our wedding and they nailed it on song selections that everyone could enjoy.
If you want your dance floor to be packed all night, book them!!! They aren't just a band they are a show & so talented! They were everything we wanted and more.

Hire Them! They are Amazing!
We booked Recycle the Day and had never heard them. I have no words, they are an amazing band and so talented. Best reception decision ever made. Everyone danced and commented on how great they are. They were there early provided lighting, microphones, introductions, background music... we couldn't have asked for more or had more fun! You won't be sorry!!!! Best wedding band EVER!!!!! -

A night to remember!
We had an awesome experience with Recycle the Day! Johnny was very friendly and easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding day. The band put on an amazing set and kept everyone dancing until the night was over. We cannot recommend them enough! -

Best wedding ever!!
Having Recycle the Day play out our wedding reception was the best decision we could have ever made. Their energy and talent kept our dance floor packed all night. The whole experience from hiring them to our wedding went seamlessly and they were the most fun to work with. I still have people asking us for their cards and numbers because they made it "the best wedding we've ever been too!" I'd recommend Recycle the Day for any wedding/party/event you have! They will make your special day so much more memorable and you wont be disappointed! -

Excellent band!
Recycle the Day played at our wedding- DJ services for the ceremony and band played for the reception. They were great, wonderful musicians and very flexible as they ended up playing for 2.5 hours straight due to our reception starting slightly later than planned. Their music was very high energy, our dance floor was packed all night and all guests could not stop raving about how awesome the band was. -

Wedding Band 12/31
RTD played at our wedding and they were amazing!! They kept the dance floor packed and our guests kept raving about how great they were. In addition to playing awesome music, they were very responsive on the planning process and they did a great job MCing the evening. They kept everything on track time-wise. I had originally found them via reviews on Wedding Wire and I’m so happy I trusted the positive reviews and hired them! They helped make our New Years Eve wedding a fabulous party! Best wedding band ever
This bad was great. The dance floor was full from the minute they started playing. They are high energy and played great music plus they were so helpful with all the pomp and circumstance that goes on prior to the band playing. Stop right now and book them!
We booked RTD sight unseen after a recommendation from a photographer friend and could not be happier about it. They played the entire night and our guests never left the dance floor. They even brought my husband up to sing with them (he’s a ham!)
We are still getting compliments about them and are so glad we had them to celebrate our big day with us. Communication is easy. -

Best wedding band ever for our wedding 9-16-18! So easy to work with and such a fun band and group of people! It felt like we had our own concert for our reception. Recycle The Day was AH-MAZING! Our dance floor was literally packed the entire night. They know how to read the crowd, and did so flawlessly. My husband and I left the dance floor ONE time to use the bathroom and take a photo booth photo, but that's it! They are a MUST hire for your wedding in my opinion, worth every penny! -

Recycle the Day completely blew us away! From the beginning of our wedding planning, to the day of our wedding, and even after our big day, they have been wonderful to work with. Johnny and the band were extremely helpful throughout the process. They were there to answer questions and ease our minds about any concerns. It showed how well they do their job, being able to accommodate our want/need as newlyweds to have the perfect day. It was, thanks to Recycle the Day!
A live band can make or break the vibe on the dance floor. I can say with complete confidence that their performance at our wedding reception was one of a kind. 5 stars all around! Our guests (and us) continue to talk about how much we love them. They put on a show that made our night so memorable while still keeping the focus on us as the Bride and Groom. They kept things running smoothly throughout the evening which made it easy for us to relax, have fun, and enjoy each moment with our guests.

Everything was amazing! To scheduling, planning and the performance. Everyone is still talking about how amazing the band was to dance to and sit and watch. Our dance floor was full the whole night. The band got people on the dance floor that would have never been on it otherwise. It was beautiful and they had lovely touches like the picture on the screen and our songs played. They were nonstop the whole night. I would recommend anyone and everyone to book this band! -

Recycle the Day was absolutely the best part of our wedding. Even after the wedding, our guests continued to talk about how incredible the band was - most said they were the best wedding band they'd ever seen. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and most of our guests stayed to the very end because they were having so much fun dancing. Recycle the Day doesn't just provide you with great songs, they provide you a whole concert experience. So even if you aren't one to dance, just watching Recycle the Day's choreography to every song is an absolute blast. They have both a male and female singer which makes they able to sing all of your favorite songs. Another great thing to know about RTD is that they never let a song get stale - they seamlessly blend the songs together so right when you're ready for the next song they are already transitioning. That's what keeps everyone on the dance floor! And I should also mention that they are very reasonably priced. Being a bride on a budget I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find the wedding band of my dreams but RCD was everything and more for the price. I can't say enough amazing things about them. Make your wedding day stand out above the rest and hire RECYCLE THE DAY NOW!!! -

When we started talking about a wedding my now husband said he'd always wanted a live band at his wedding so I started to research bands in the area. Recycle the Day was by far the stand out band and they were very responsive, so easy to work with, and answered all our questions leading up to the wedding.
They didn't disappoint! They were amazing and kept everyone engaged and dancing all night long! They have such great energy and obviously love what they do. People are still commenting about how fantastic they were. If you want your wedding to stand out - definitely book Recycle the Day. You will be so glad you did!

Everyone at our daughter's wedding raved about the band! Almost all of the guests were up and dancing the entire night. The band members were part of our large extended family for the evening. Recycle the Day is honestly the BEST band we have ever experienced and we could not be more happy with their performance at our wedding on 5-19-18. Our guests could not stop raving about how packed the dance floor was the entire night! The only time people were off the dance floor was during the band's 15 minute break. Recycle the Day truly made our wedding night amazing and we would HIGHLY recommend them to all couples out there looking for a budget-friendly, high energy, fantastic and all around entertaining band. We will definitely be back to see them perform at local bars because we can't get enough! RTD you guys absolutely killed it! Thank you so much for a night to remember forever and ever and ever. We wanted to send you a thank you! You guys were so wonderful on Friday, we could not have picked a better band! The dance floor stayed full the ENTIRE night thanks to you guys! Our guests can not stop talking about how wonderful you guys were! One guests even commented that he thinks if you guys would have kept playing my guests would have died from exhaustion lol! Nobody could leave the dance floor- every time we thought one good song was ending you played another even better song!

Recycle the Day was a great addition to my wedding. If you're on the fence about a band or DJ, go with the band 100%! All my guests raved how fun and great they were and they kept the party going on the dance floor. They bent over backwards to help when some problems popped up at the reception (problem was not due to the band at all). I wish I could have another wedding to hire them again. -

Everyone was incredible to work with! They did an incredible job of being flexible with us, leading the ceremonies, and best of all, keeping people on the dance floor the WHOLE NIGHT! High recommend RTD to ANYONE thinking about having an awesome live band for their wedding reception. :-) -

RTD is a phenomenal wedding band!!! It is SUCH a feat keeping the dance floor hopping the whole night, and they really did- right up until my husband and I made our grand exit through LED sparklers at midnight! Our family and friends were raving about how awesome the band was the whole night, the next day at brunch, and sending us messages about it several days after our wedding too! They were also very accommodating to unique requests we had (and we had several), including figuring out the sound system for instruments accompanying us singing a duet at the reception, learning our first dance song in order to perform it live, and doing a special edit for our Introductions song so we could choreograph it with our wedding party. They made our wedding reception an amazing party and experience, and we are incredibly grateful to RTD for their fantastic music, incredible energy, great communication, and flexibility, and would highly recommend them! Thanks RTD for making our wedding day so amazing!!! -

Love this band!!!!! They were so much fun! I had so many of my friends and family members asking about them. I also had a friend who booked them for her event coming up after seeing them play at our wedding. They were all set up and ready to go before we got there. They were very flexible, especially since I had no formal plan, they just rolled with it. They were helpful in making my day even better and they were very dance with :) I'm so happy we were able to have them play at our wedding!! -

Best wedding decision!! This band is beyond fun, entertaining, and talented! I received soo many compliments on their performance at the wedding. I love that they don't drag out a song and that you get so many more songs in a 3 hour time span. They also provided my music, speakers, etc, for our ceremony and we're on point! I can't say enough great things about RTD! Their communication was great, price was in the budget, and truly ROCKED it on our big day! Thanks Recycle The Day!!!!! -

Recycle the Day was awesome! They were pros form the very beginning! Johnny was extra attentive to our needs. He called ahead of time to discuss the schedule and how we would like our day to flow. Our dance floor was PACKED all night and they kept our party alive. We still have people who come up to us and tell us how great our wedding band was! -

I saw this band one time and I knew I wanted them in my feature wedding. Fast forward a year, I got engaged! I could not remember the name of them! I searched and searched and finally found them! They were such a pleasure to work with. Very easy going. I was ALWAYS able to get in contact with them.
Then the day of the wedding was awesome. They were on time, set up quickly, talked to everyone, and played an awesome set.
I have never ever been to a wedding where so many people danced almost the entire time! They got involved with the crowd and even let people sing in their microphones. Simply amazing.
Everyone was awesome! Great job.
You guys honestly made our wedding the wedding we always dreamt of. -

My husband I wanted a band for our wedding from the very beginning. A cousin recommend checking out Recycle The Day after seeing them at a wedding she was recently at. We went to a bar in Naperville to see them perform and decided to book them for our reception. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with this choice. The dance floor was PACKED the entire night! The band did such an amazing job with their performance. Days after our reception, my husband and I received countless texts regarding how great the band was and how much fun they were. Johnny also put together our bridal party entrance song...we had a remix of 3-4 Justin Timberlake songs...it turned out great! I HIGHLY recommend Recycle The Day...you will not be disappointed. -

Recycle The Day took our New Years Eve wedding, and turned it from a reception into a Party! The dance floor was filled the entire night, even those who typically don't dance were out there. If you are planning a wedding your self, take my advice, shell out the few extra bucks it costs to have Recycle The Day play rather than just having a DJ, you'll be happy you did! -

We can't give enough compliments to Recycle The Day. We had heard them at a wedding we went to in May 2015 and when we got engaged in January 2016, I contacted them immediately. We put a hold on them before we even had a venue! Johnny was easy to reach by both email and phone. Our wedding was 12-31-16. As the date got closer, they answered any questions we had and we set a time to speak on the phone to talk through all details. We felt confident going into the day. They were extremely flexible in working with our venue and design company in an attempt to hide them during our ceremony. (Our ceremony and reception were in the same location.) Everything during the reception went extremely smoothly with all of our song requests being followed perfectly. Our wedding was on New Year's Eve and they led the countdown during the reception. The dance floor was full the entire reception and the band barely took a break! We have received countless compliments from all of our friends and family on the band and music at our wedding. We couldn't have been happier and would highly recommend Recycle The Day for your event! -

I wanted to make our wedding memorable and exciting for our guests, to break the mold of "traditional" weddings. Recycle The Day did not disappoint. From the beginning to the end, they were extremely accommodating, and catered to our needs & desires. I had so many of my family and friends tell me that our wedding was the best wedding they had been to in a long time, and the band was the reason & the talk of the night. There was no down time on the dance floor the entire night, RTD did an INCREDIBLE job of mixing song genres, keeping all ages dancing. Solely having a DJ is great, but if you're looking to rock the night, look no further than this group. It'll be one of the best decisions you make for the big day! -

Johnny really went above and beyond for our special day. We were so happy with him and he did so much to make sure we had a good time! From the ceremony music to partying on the dance floor.. He did not disappoint! We had a bunch of hiccups during the wedding and he handled them all like a pro which put us more at ease! We told him to do his thing with music and that we weren't picky and we made the right choice because he played the best songs and had our guests dancing the night away! Wish we could give him a 10! We hired them by word of mouth without ever seeing them live, best decision for our wedding that we made (Their YouTube videos don't do them any justice, you have to see them live). They are all super talented musicians and play a wide array of music, they didn't miss a beat. They had everyone from the flower girls to our 87 year old grandma dancing. Johnny and the band were awesome, very professional, and they were so much fun!!! We are still hearing from our wedding guests how much they LOVED the band!! We are trying to think of ways to have more parties so we can hire them again, lol!

We hired recycle the day to play our wedding reception and it was a great decision! Dozens of our guests approached my wife or I and remarked about the great quality of the band, their musical talent and showmanship was awesome! They showed up on time, had all systems set up and sound check complete well before the wedding ceremony started so as to avoid disturbing that process. They were absolute professionals throughout the entire evening, they stayed classy and every one of the band members were friendly and jovial while talking with myself or other guests.
They had a great set list that kept people of all ages on the dance floor the entire night including both of my wife's grandmothers! I would highly recommend recycle the day to anyone looking for entertainment for their wedding or any other gathering, you will not be dissapointed! -

DJ Johnny was amazing! The selection of music was great and he kept the party going all night. So many of our guests came up to us and said how great the music and dancing was after the wedding. We could not be happy with his services. -

Throughout the night, as well as in the days following, we repeatedly heard from our guests that Recycle The Day was the best wedding band they'd ever seen. They were the hit of the night. We even had engaged friends asking for their contact info. They managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire night, with the guests even chanting "one more song" at the end. Everyone couldn't help but love the medleys and mash-ups that were upbeat and a lot of fun. Plus, who doesn't love a little bit of coordinated dancing! -

Best decision we made. Johnny's open line of communication helped the whole event go off without a hitch. Recycle The Day saved my wedding! We had so many other issues up to that point but they single handedly saved our wedding and made the rest of the evening a total success! My friends and family two weeks later still cannot say enough about how amazing they were! I have been a dj at many weddings myself and have also been to some with bands there is no other band that even comes close and compares to this experience because are a mix of both band and dj doing medleys of songs and always keeping you on your toes with song changes and progressions with different tempos.
Honestly I don't know what they are doing only playing weddings they need to bring this show to the big lights and get booked for some massive gigs.
I would 100% book them again for any event. -

Recycle the Day made our wedding reception perfect! They are amazing and sound great!! They get the crowd ( all ages) dancing and play a huge variety of music. If you want a party of the year, hire them! You won't be disappointed! -

Could not recommend these guys (and gal) any higher.
They had everybody dancing the entire night, played exactly the music we love and asked for, and just rocked.
They were also very reasonably priced, especially since the band was the most talked about part of our reception! Forget the overpriced, overcooked food and book Recycle the Day instead.....you won't regret it! -

Recycle the Day is THE band to get to play at your wedding! They are energetic, talented, fun, professional, and dynamic. So many people stopped me throughout our wedding night to ask, "Where did you find this band?! They're so good!" The music they play can be catered to your music preferences and they do an excellent job incorporating a variety of types of music that everyone will like and relate to. They put on an amazing show and were the highlight of our wedding. Johnny is very on top of things and will get back to you quickly with any questions or concerns you may have. He did a great job being an emcee for us and was very organized the day of our wedding as well. Our friends and family still are talking about how they got everyone on the dance floor and played the entire night. If I had to do our wedding over again, I would pick them again every time. -

Recycle The Day performed for our University's annual athletic department fundraiser. The band was outstanding! Not only was the quality of the performance exceptional with high-energy that kept our donors and guests dancing all night, but the professionalism displayed by the band and Johnny was top notch! The band worked with some last minute schedule changes and never missed a beat! They were on-time and courteous and helped make the night run smoothly. We were so pleased that we're bringing them back for a second year in a row in 2016! I highly recommend Recycle The Day for any special event!! -

Recycle the Day was great! They were the band for our wedding, and did a great job. Prior to the wedding, Johnny worked with us before the wedding to get an idea of what kind of music we wanted to play. He was very responsive to our emails, and had a final call with us the week of the wedding to make sure everything was ready to go. The night of the wedding, Johnny and the band did a great job of MC'ing for our introductions and first dances, then had everyone on the dance floor! They had a ton of energy and really helped with getting people up and dancing. Many of our guests told us that the band was great, and I would definitely recommend them for weddings in the Chicago area!! -

"The BEST wedding band." I think I have heard this from almost everyone at my wedding. Such genuine people who wanted the best for my husband and I. Recycle the Day did an amazing job playing at our wedding! The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last, and they made sure they played every request I had. We had so many guests raving about the band afterwards, and telling us it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. While playing, band members would jump down into the crowd and get guests (and us) involved in some of the songs, and they made sure to play a little something for everyone. I highly recommend Recycle the Day to make you night truly unforgettable! -

Recycle the Day was absolutely incredible! I saw them at a bar in my town right after I got engaged and i immediately got their information so I could book them for my wedding! Let me tell you, and I'm not just saying this because it was my wedding, but they were 1000 times better hearing them now then before!! They had two different lead singers then what they had when I saw them at the bar, and they blew me away, they absolutely killed every song!
Their previous singers were good, but these two, together and separate, are truly amazing. What a great and amazing change! I cant say enough about this band. If you're looking for a band for anything, they will fit right in and take care of all your needs! And with these two new singers, it makes every song better and better then the last!

We auditioned over ten bands for our wedding and none came close to the energy and experience Recycle The Day delivered. Our reception is still talked about and the only thing our guests bring up is this band. Don't waste your time like we did. HIRE THIS BAND! These guys are great!!! Before you spend you wedding budget on flowers, book this Band!! Seriously, my center pieces were amazing but the only thing our guest raved about was the band. From the moment they began to play our dance floor was packed. The kept the party going all night. They played a variety of music, that all of our guest loved; including my 96 year old great aunt who made an appearance or two on the dance floor. Johnny (the band manager) was extremely professional, easy to work with and handled all of our special request without issue. We'd highly recommend this band to anyone getting married, you won't be disappointed. -

The best wedding band I've ever experienced! This band played at our destination wedding and they traveled 5 long hours to preform but no one could tell! They were easy to work with, professional, and kept the entire party dancing all night long! The music spanned from my parents era to the newest music on the radio and they made the wedding so much fun!!!! If I could do it again and again Recycle The Day would be rocking with me!! If we could give Recycle the Day 6 stars we would! They were truly fantastic to work with and made our wedding a memorable event for the guests. We got SO many compliments on the band all night long. They had people out on the floor and the room was charged with energy. If you are not familiar with their style, they do a lot of mash ups or medleys, which means they only do the best part of a song and then move on to the next one. That way you feel like you get much more music and it keeps the momentum going for the dancers. The band even has some choreographed moves which the crowd loved. (Don't worry. It's not cheesy and they don't do it all of the time.) Johnny Rabenda was very prompt with answering all of our questions and accommodating all of our requests. We also felt their pricing is very reasonable. This is the BEST wedding band we have ever experienced. We are very grateful to them for making our wedding day unforgettable. -

I’ll start by saying that the entertainment at our wedding was the most important thing for me when it came to planning. Recycle the Day delivered 110%, exceeding my already high expectations. Some important distinctions/highlights if you are considering hiring the band and shopping around extensively, like I did:
• Johnny was a pleasure to work with; prompt and professional, and as others have commented very accommodating; we had several special requests: uplighting, obscure/specific songs, microphones for our outdoor ceremony, music at dinner, and even sound support for our officiant’s acoustic guitar—every request was accommodated with a pleasant, upbeat attitude. Truly “one less thing to worry about” on our wedding day.
• The band is awesome. If you have the chance to hear them play, do it and you will be sold like we were. Nearly all of our 150+ guests commented on how great the band was, one friend asking for their info for her upcoming wedding! Comments such as “Amazing!”, “Incredible!” and “Best ever!” were not uncommon.
• Very well suited to wedding receptions: It’s been said many times, but our dance floor was indeed packed for the entire three-hour set. RTD’s style is unique playing mashups of songs selected to appeal to pretty much everyone. Seriously, everyone had a blast.
• I can’t speak to packages outside of ours, but RTD was a strong value for the $ considering all of the services provided, very competitive amongst the 15+ quotes I received for comparable packages.

Recycle the Day was a perfect band for our wedding! Prior to the event, they were very easy to connect with and very professional. The night of the wedding, they kept me at ease with how organized they were...cuing up music for the cocktail hour, introducing the wedding party, and playing music during dinner. When playing live, they were so much fun! We had 3 hours of dancing and never once was the dance floor close to being empty. Our friends told us they were the best wedding they had ever seen. Recycle the Day played our New Years Eve Wedding and it was incredible! Leading up to the big day Johnny was awesome in coordinating every detail with us to ensure they would play everything we wanted. They tailored the setlist to our liking which was very important. When the night was over, everyone still wanted more. They did an amazing job of mixing modern songs with some wedding favorites. Several of our other wedding vendors (photographer, reception hall, etc.) commented to us that they had never seen a live band at a wedding quite like ours. A few weeks ago, we had Recycle The Day play at our wedding. We could not be happier that we chose them to perform for our special occasion. We originally were going to hire a DJ. However, Recycle The Day provided a one-stop shop, including DJ, MC and live music. We could not be happier we chose them. Recycle The Day allowed us to pick the songs to be played and were very helpful through the process of planning. During the reception, they sounded amazing and got everyone on the dance floor.
