The best dj
Tim was an absolutely incredible DJ for our wedding! He blew us away, and our guests still keeping talking about how amazing he was. I've encountered Ready, Set, Dance Entertainment at a few weddings and a soccer ceremony; and then was honored to for them to DJ my wedding. They consistently bring the energy! They are also very organized and the communication is great! They really took a lot of the planning stress off my shoulders! I am thankful to Tim and their other DJs that I've met. I will certainly be looking to host another event so that I can experience that fun energy again!

Booking Ready, Set, Dance! Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made to help make our wedding day so special! Tim went above and beyond to hear us out, get a sense of our music choices/style, and then executed by keeping the dance floor PACKED! The best of the best!
We booked in the middle of the pandemic and from the start Tim made us feel comfortable and confident! Tim was the best vendor we worked with out of everyone! We booked with the Visuals package and it was the perfect set up it looked so awesome in our venue. Their response time to emails, texts, or calls was very fast! Tim was our point person for the night he worked with all our crazy requests while also working with all our other vendors to keep us on schedule, on track, and giving us everything we wanted! He truly is the best you would be crazy not to book them!!

We were familiar with Tim since he DJ'ed my brother's wedding, so we were already aware of how good his service is. Not only did he deliver yet again at our wedding, he went above and beyond! Rockin all night long!
We cannot say enough good things about Tim at Ready, Set, Dance! Entertainment. We first booked with Tim in early 2019 for our planned May 2020 wedding. Long story short...we had to reschedule for one year later. Tim communicated with us constantly throughout that year to make sure that our big day, when we eventually got to celebrate, would be perfect. When we first signed our contract, we decided we wanted two of the offered/listed DJ packages. He creatively combined the two so that we would get everything we wanted. Communication and contractual details were easily understood and pricing was phenomenal and definitely workable for our budget. Tim worked with us to incorporate our own creative touches on the day (including a fantastic, live, Blues Brothers themed reception entrance. The music was the best mix of various styles that kept the dance floor rocking all night. Tim not only knows what he is doing but LOVES what he does. If you want a DJ that shows his passion for his work and has fun celebrating you through every moment of your day, go book Ready, Set, Dance, Entertainment!! Right now! GO DO IT! Thank you, Tim! Awesome Party!
We had a great experience with these guys. They worked with the list we gave them and added a few favorites. All our guests were dancing all night and raved about how much fun they had with the music. We're two grooms and they were completely comfortable with our crowd and vibe.

Most unforgettable night of our life!
These guys were absolutely incredible. I still think about our wedding everyday and how much their music brought everything to life. Tim was so responsive the entire time. Even the morning of the wedding day! Mike had so much enthusiasm throughout the night, he kept everyone pumped up!
I had a weird mix of music because our families are very diverse. But they made it work- and we are still getting compliments on how fun it was! I don’t think anyone ever left the dance floor.
The small tweaks they made to the venue (up lighting and facade) transformed our space. It made it much more beautiful than I could have imagined.
Not only did they provide great music and visuals, but they made our day stress free. They worked with the catering company and on-site venue coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly and tirelessly- and it absolutely did.

Tim and Mike of Ready Set Dance! are amazing to work with, and truly care about their clients! They did everything to make sure our wedding was personalized to reflect my husband and I as a couple. They listened to all our requests and were super flexible when some unexpected things happened that caused some changes in our wedding timeline. Tim was even able to make us a last minute photo slideshow despite having three weddings in a row that weekend! Seriously dedicated dudes with seriously reasonable packages. Everyone kept commenting that they've never seen so many people dancing and so few people sitting at a wedding! Such a fun night, all because of Ready Set Dance!

We are SO happy we went with Ready, Set Dance Entertainment for our wedding. They were recommended to us by a friend and she told us they would keep the party going all night long and that was no joke - they really did! Mike was great and so much fun! There wasn't a single moment where the dance floor was empty and Mike's commentary was hilarious. We have already received so many compliments about our DJ and have been told several times by people they wish the party never had to end. They were great to work with from beginning to end (super responsive - Tim was even emailing me during his sister's wedding rehearsal!) and played all our favorite songs and then some. If you are looking for a DJ to keep your reception on schedule and get your whole party dancing...look no further! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Everybody dance now!!!
Where do I even start, from the beginning Tim was very easy to work with and wanted to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. Outside of the usual cake cutting, wedding party, and first dance songs we left song choices up the professionals. We are so glad we trusted him! Tim and Mike kept people dancing all night long. When we chose our DJ package we picked the Paparazzi package and all of my guests loved it! Seeing the “red carpet” prop photo posts from friends and family the next day was the best! When we have a future need for a DJ we will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone considering. One of the best days of my life
Tim was amazing from start to finish! From meet up for the first time to go through our options to helping us set up our timeline at the reception. This team really showed their professionalism the day of the wedding, we had a lot of last minute changes and they completely were happy to help how ever they could. Mike and Tim had my entire family on the dance floor the whole night. We had so many compliments about how great the DJs energy was the entire night. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ready Set Dance for any of your dj needs. We had Tim as our dj for our wedding on September 7th. He was so professional from beginning to end, and listened to exactly what we were looking for at our wedding. Literally ALL of our 240 guests were on the dance floor from the first song to the last. They are all saying how that was the best wedding they have been too, with the best dj ever!!! He knew the right songs to play at the right time, and he fed off of everyone's energy. Amazing Job
My wife and I had our wedding on June 7th, 2019 and people still cannot stop talking about how amazing the music was and how cool their set up was. We had a say in the music we wanted to hear, but their ability to transition from one jam to the next was so fluid and natural.

This review is so long overdue and our wedding was only a week ago!!!!- but if you are still looking for your DJ you can stop here. Our wedding was truly amazing and we give a huge amount of credit to Ready Set Dance Entertainment for that, especially our DJ/emcee, Tim and his team. Tim was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. He was always so responsive and really helped us figure out what would work best any time we were indecisive. Tim took a ton of time to get to know us and made sure our wedding truly reflected our personal style. And everyone had such a great time, which was really the most important thing to us. Family and friends are still telling us how much fun they had at our wedding! RSD Entertainment had awesome up lighting as well to capture our theme...Winter Wonderland and it was blue, spot on. Ready Set Dance Entertainmens was honestly one of the best decisions we made, so seriously, if you are still looking for your DJ - stop. You will not be disappointed! :) Highly HIGHLY recommend!!

we had a great experience with these guys. i honestly wasn't sure what i was looking for in a DJ, but i knew as soon as i saw one of their videos, they were it. tim was great and always responded promptly.
we had a fairly small/tame wedding with many people leaving early because it was cold, but they made sure that we were having fun and kept the party going for us, i think they would have kept playing even if it had just been my husband and i . i would love to see them in a larger setting, i'm sure it would be amazing!

10/20/2018 - We had an amazing fun night. DJ Carlos was very professional and helpful with our program as we weren't able to start on time. He made sure that everything goes smoothly as planned. I loved how they coordinate the photos (slideshow) on the screen all throughout the night. And of course, the 2 microphones and their sound system is top notch tech and our wedding singers duet came out so lovely. The music was lively, upbeat, hyped and everyone had fun dancing. I would highly recommend Ready, Set, Dance you won't regret.

They were soo friendly, the uplighting and displays on the screen were amazing, they responded right away and really worked with our schedule and the distance away from them. I would highly recommend them to ANYONE. Carlos kept all of our guests dancing and excited the whole night. The sound system was crystal clear and never screeched or had an issue!! During my ceremony the wind was bad so the wireless mic kept cutting out but they made a quick change of a wired mic and it worked out great and it didn’t interrupt anything. I highly recommend them!

Where do I even begin!? There are a few things important for a successful wedding: food, booze, & music. We were very lucky to have the best of all 3!
Tim & Mike did an amazing job providing entertainment for our wedding day. The dance floor was full all night & our guests still rave about the music.
Tim was always available to communicate and answer any questions we had. We only provided a few songs we really wanted played & we let Tim & Mike play everything else by ear. They were able to judge what the crowd wanted and played based on that.
I can’t recommend the team enough.

Ready, Set, Dance! Entertainment was amazing!!! We first met with Tim in December for our June wedding. He was very professional and friendly and you could tell this was his passion! Tim was not available the day of our wedding though so we had Carlos as our DJ. Tim made sure that before we booked with them my husband and I met with Carlos to make sure we felt comfortable with him. A few weeks later we met with Carlos and booked right on the spot! The passion these guys have for what they do is very evident!
A few weeks before the wedding both Carlos and Tim called to check in with us to go over the details of our wedding. Again, when talking to Carlos on the phone he was genuinely excited for us and to be the DJ for our wedding! Carlos was in contact with us in the days before our wedding as well making sure everything was going smoothly and tieing the loose ends for the night.
The day of the wedding Carlos showed up early to get set up and again genuinely excited for us and our big day! He was in contact with us with the last minute changes the venue had made for us. All night there were crowds of people on the dance floor and we are continuing to get compliments on our DJ!
IT DOES NOT STOP HERE.... a few days after our wedding we were contacted by BOTH Carlos and Tim to see how the night went and how we were doing!!! Great job by all!
Note to anyone looking at them...they are a TRUE DJ...they are not going to just put songs on from start to finish and then play another! If you are looking for that...ask a friend to put on an iPod.....if you are looking for a DJ....THESE are the guys to go with!!!

We booked them for our Daddy Daughter Dance at Life Time Fitness - Orland Park and they were amazing! They played perfect songs for the little girls and also had the dads dancing! First let me explain a little about what occurred at my wedding. It was a beautiful tent wedding. A nice hot July day, the tent was climate controlled, there was a patio area to walk out if need be. BUT the huge generator went out and there was a power shortage. Unfortunately, air was not on, lights (chandeliers that were paid for through another vendor) was not on, and it was getting really hot. How is my DJ supposed to play music with no power? YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED! Tim was running around like a mad person to get things right, even more than me (and I was the bride). He was using any resource possible to help ease the situation. Even to the point, of having a worker of the wedding venue get a generator from his house so Tim can plug his equipment in. He used battery operated speakers during that time. I can not say enough about Tim and Ready, Set, Dance Ent. He not only did his part in playing music but was concerned with the outcome of my special day as well. Once power was back on, Tim continued to be the best DJ! I can’t imagine my day if it wasn’t for Tim and the way he went above and beyond. All of my guests complimented on how hard working and great he was as well. Tim, your hard work did not go unnoticed! Thank you so much!

I'm so happy i went with Ready Set Dance! Tim and mike, made sure our day was special. They went out of their way make us happy! They had ideas, they asked us about our ideas. When the day arrived, when i walked into the room; i was so happy with the lites (matched out wedding parties colors, the center pieces etc). The sound was perfect! Not only were they very responsive with all of our needs, but they went out of their way to ensure our wedding was absolutely perfect! Tim and Mike's high energy got the crowd dancing and everyone had such a blast! If you are booking an event with them, make sure to get the package with the lights because it really adds to the room and decor! Would definitely recommend this DJ. Tim and Mike were great to work with. From beginning to end the whole process was smooth. To us, music was one of the most important parts of the night, we wanted our guests to be out dancing all night and the atmosphere to be fun and energetic. Mike delivered on this all the way. Tim was very organized in the planning process, very easily reached and quick responses when we had questions. Even more important, the night of the reception everything went smoothly from them being on time to setting everything up correctly to following the itinerary. So many things can go wrong with a wedding, I am happy to say the DJ and music aspect was not one of those, there was not one snag on that end. On top of all that, the music itself was great, Mike did a good job of reading the crowd and knowing what to play next. Several people wanted a copy of his playlist they thought it was that great of a mix! Would definitely recommend Ready Set Dance for your event, well deserving of the five star rating, we were very pleased with the service and people!

Honestly, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding was picking Ready Set Dance for our DJs. Tim and Mike exceeded our expectations. They were so easy to work with and incredibly quick to respond! Our minds were completely at ease with our choice in DJs. Tim called me the night before my wedding to ensure he pronounced everyone in the wedding parties' name correctly, how sweet is that!!!? Wedding guests from every age group told us how much fun our wedding was and we both honestly think it is because our DJs knew the kind of music to get EVERYONE dancing and having a great time. We had an outdoor wedding and Tim never made me feel nervous about anything with the wiring and outlets- he came out prior to event and covered all of the bases! The music was amazing! Tim and Mike kept the wedding going until the very end- the dance floor was packed because of them!! The pricing is SO reasonable, especially for what you get! The lighting was awesome and added the perfect touch to my tent- I got the TVs and when they weren't live streaming photos from our HASHTAG, they live streamed the BLACKHAWKS GAME so that my guests wouldn't all leave (not huge into hockey but it was a really important game!!!) :) So easy to work with and Tim actually cares about making your day the best ever!! Cannot say enough great things about this company!!! Thank you again SO MUCH for making my wedding the absolute best!!!

Ready, Set, Dance! Entertainment DJ'd our wedding on Sept. 12, 2015. To see we did a TON of research into wedding DJs would be an understatement. Music is a key element of our lives and we wanted to find someone that would appreciate how it important it was to us. Luckily, we found RSD!E. Not only did they do that, they did it at a price that was more that competitive.
They offer a few different packages, but we went with the highest one (forget what it was called). In my opinion, it's the only way to go. Mike was our DJ and he went out of his way to make the setup look SWEET! Our hall was pretty huge and an odd shape. I was impressed at my consultation that Tim did so much detailed planning to uplight it to perfection.
My one pro-tip if you go with these guys: They will play whatever music you want, but don't be hesitant to give them some control. They are really good at getting people going and then gauging the crowd in order to keep them going.
As you know, couples have enough to worry about. Go with these guys and take the weight of music/uplighting off your shoulders.
Looking forward to hiring these guys for my second wedding.....JOKING! :)

Tim of Ready Set Dance Entertainment IS AWESOME! We had our wedding at a small bar in the West Loop of Chicago IL and he made it more than perfect. He was on time, dressed professionally, SUPER friendly and incredibly flexible. We had a couple last minute changes to our schedule and he accommodated with no problems at all!
It is evident that DJ-ing is a strong passion because he looked like he was having a blast the entire time and it made the experience even better! We gave Tim a "must play" and "do not play" list and told him "we trust you, just keep people dancing". He did that and more. When one of our guests dropped their drink on the dance floor Tim said over the microphone "Clean up on aisle 4" and it was the perfect response and made everyone laugh! He was beyond what we wanted!
Tim's pricing is a OUTSTANDING value for what you get. We would recommend him to anyone and will be recommending him to our friends and family for any upcoming events!

We are very pleased that we picked this DJ. We had heard through other couples that their services were outstanding and they came through! Their price was beyond reasonable in comparison to others, you can't go wrong with them. Strongly recommended for quality & price!! They showed up early and stayed late. We added the ceremony services outdoors last minute and they came through. When you make a list of must haves for songs, they play them, not just toss the list in the back seat. They were awesome. Right on cue every song as we discussed. Music is going to be the last thing you want to have to worry about on that very day... They had us covered and they will for you too. With a short time and window. Tim did a great job for our wedding on Nov 8 2014. The way he helped my sister Joyce in getting
her tribute video's going and the sound working was so nice and very dear to us. For all that we had going on only 1 hiccup the whole
night and that was the garter and bouquet toss. Other than that everything went well and both me and Jim loved the music and our special night.

After meeting with Tim, we knew that he would be great for our wedding. We definitely wanted people to have fun and that's what Tim and his assistant, Mike, brought! Tim was very responsive and flexible for working within our needs and budget. We couldn't have asked for a better deal and quality! From initial meeting, to meeting with us at our venue to learn his surroundings, to the actual night, was a smooth process. The music selection was amazing and from start to finish, the dance floor was packed! We had a feature of a live Instagram feed on the provided TVs (came with our package) and their reminders throughout the night, helped us gain memorable photos. They were in constant communication with us throughout the night on if certain things were running late and how we wanted to proceed. After doing research, I came across Ready Set Dance. They offered à 6 hour package whose price could not be beat. We kept in constant contact and Tim always took care of any concern or last minute changes. I have allot of respect for her opinion so I jumped at the chance to use this dj for my daughter's Sweet 16 and I'm glad I did! The dj was punctual, outgoing, and very professional. he kept all of my daughter's friends dancing and didn't even get annoyed with all of the music requests we kept running up to him with. a room full of teenagers can be kind of rough but he interacted with them and kept them entertained the entire night which I thought was great. I will be using him again for future parties and referring him to my friends. my daughter had a blast. The music is a big part of a party and it was definitely a night to remember.

The dj was punctual, outgoing, and very professional. he kept all of my daughter's friends dancing and didn't even get annoyed with all of the music requests we kept running up to him with. a room full of teenagers can be kind of rough but he interacted with them and kept them entertained the entire night which I thought was great. I will be using him again for future parties and referring him to my friends. my daughter had a blast. The music is a big part of a party and it was definitely a night to remember.

Amazing DJ!!
Tim and Mike we absolutely great at our wedding this past weekend. We'd provided many more songs than they'd asked for during the cocktail hour, dinner and reception but they made sure to play them all, along with their own additions. They were also great at pumping up our crowd and making sure everyone was having a great time.
I also have to mention that though we'd booked a harpist to play during our reception, Tim offered to come about 3 hours earlier than we'd booked/paid for to help with getting a mic for our officiant and to make sure the sound was great. Truly above and beyond service from him, we appreciated it SO much.
We couldn't have asked for a better service, highly highly recommend!!!

The cost was very fair. They lay everything out for you pretty easy. Call ahead of time to make sure they can pronounce everyone's names. Only complaint is lots of slow songs, kind of on us. We did not stress our dislike of slow songs.

The company was very friendly! Great sound and flexibility. Communication wasn’t that great, but sending over song lists was easy.

Nice guy. Professional equipment and unique 4 screens. However, he complained to my guests when they requested songs .
