Rayne Events is Amazing!!!

I first worked with Amil for my daughter’s graduation party about 7 years ago. So when my daughter got engaged I knew I wanted to work with him again for her wedding. Rayne Events provided lighting, drapes, audio and visual for my daughter’s wedding. They provided the DJ booth that included a monogram on the front of the booth and the seating for the sweetheart table. Amil and his team did an incredible job. The end result was fabulous. They completely transformed the ballroom with the drapes. The drapes were fantastic!!!! Amil is always very professional and a pleasure to work with. He was so accommodating with any questions that I had and changes that I wanted. Amil always answered me right away and was a joy to work with throughout the entire planning process. Every aspect of what he did was outstanding and the room was beyond my expectations. I received so many compliments. I highly recommend Rayne Events!!! Use them for your next event. You will be so grateful that you did!!!!!!

I've worked with Showtime Events and Amil before and he didn't disappoint. Our guests absolutely LOVED the lounge area for our wedding. It was very fitting for our cocktail reception. The set-up was exactly what I wanted based on discussions with Amil our vision for our cocktail reception at Newton White Mansion. Our floor plan was actually his idea based on what we wanted; he hit he nail on the head. I would definitely recommend Showtime Events to any future couple looking to personalize your wedding reception. You and your guests won't be disappointed. Thanks again Amil!

When we picked our venue we were in love with everything except the drab walls in the reception space. Lighting and draping were not an expense planned on when we got started with our wedding planning. After a few disheartening meetings I found Showtime on wedding wire, not only is their pricing some of the best around but the service and quality are great. We worked specifically with Amil and Tiffany, Tiffany was great coordinating and answered all of my emails and questions promptly. We met with Amil only once at the venue to take a look at some lighting, he was great, made recommendations and was patient with us as we decided what shade of lavender works best – I had no idea there were so many. The day of the crew was there to set up our ceremony lighting and then in the hour to change from ceremony to reception moved the lights, changed the colors and moved the drapes. I would highly recommend ShowTime to anyone in the DC area, especially working with Tiffany.

Showtime Events did an amazing job creating the look I wanted for my wedding reception! My goal was to turn the hotel ballroom into a nightclub and I was so impressed by the job they did. My guests were blown away and couldn't believe they were in a hotel when they entered the ballroom. Several of my guesst asked for his contact information for their upcoming events.

Their furniture is elegant, high quality, durable & clean (which is very important) and the draping was simply stunning! They have a very large inventory and their price was very reasonable. I also used them for uplighting, which totally set the mood. From my very first interaction with Amil, the owner, I was impressed. Even though he works very hard and stays busy, I was always able to connect with him or his assistant, whenever I needed anything or had a question.

I would definitely use Showtime Events again and recommend them to anyone looking for lighting & decor.

Showtime did a phenomenal job lighting our wedding! We had an outdoor reception in downtown DC and envisioned bistro lights twinkling overhead and just enough uplighting to bring the venue alive at night. Showtime hadn't done string lights like that before but they were game to give it a try--they also convinced us to add a custom gobo monogram to the package. They were wonderful to communicate with and consummate professionals throughout the process, not to mention very reasonably priced. The lighting we ended up with was perfect. It gave us atmosphere and a subtle wow-factor that was better than anything I could have dreamed up. Highly recommend working with them!

I would recommend Amil and his team to any of my friends. Amil was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, and he was very flexible given our timing and budget constraints. We needed to pull together lighting, lounge furniture, and draping for a large venue for a wedding reception for about 110 people. We had about one month to plan everything, so thankfully Amil was able to pull everything off for us in that little time. We ran into some equipment problems - the draping was too heavy so we couldn't create the overhead draped look we wanted - but Amil was able to pull together a back-up plan at the last minute and make the space look pretty. We were delayed by about half an hour, so it was a bit awkward having guests come in while furniture and equipment was still lying on the dance floor, but the bar and food were flowing so I think people just shrugged it off. In hindsight, this was the preferred method, because Amil could have just scrapped the draping idea altogether, but he instead came up with an alternative way to decorate the space, which ended up fitting beautifully. Most importantly, he was very apologetic and he gave us a commensurate discount for the materiel costs and inconvenience. You really couldn't ask for a better vendor to work with. Things will go wrong on big events - that's expected. But you want someone honest, quick-thinking, and capable to handle those mishaps, and Amil is your man. He always kept his cool, was the consummate professional, and he was truly an honest broker. Really a gem in this line of business.

Very smooth from start to finish and always extremely helpful. On the day our of wedding, the staff were very efficient, setting up all of our lighting quickly and without any issues. The reception looked amazing and we would definitely recommend them.

I don't even know where to begin to describe how thankful I am to this company and Amil....they literally saved my wedding. I received a call on the Tuesday before my wedding from my venue (which was in the process of moving to a brand new location and was supposed to be finished in January) telling me that the venue would not be ready in time for my wedding and I couldn't have my reception there. They moved it to the hotel across the street. I was devastated. I went from this cool, hip venue space to a bland old hotel ballroom. Thankfully, my sister-in-law is an interior designer and knew how to liven the space up, starting with a phone call to Showtime Events. She called this company and spoke with Amil and told him my story...and she said he dropped everything to help her out in every way possible, despite the SUPER short notice (2 days) and despite having other events on the day of my wedding. She handled everything with Amil and she could not stop raving about how awesome he and his company was... they bent over backwards to make my reception space look PHENOMENAL. Offered to bring extra things, went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Amil, you saved my wedding. It looked so, so good.... amazing lighting, really cool lounge chairs and LED furniture... and then he was right there at the end of the reception clearing everything out.

I can't believe this company and Amil did this for some unknown bride. I was a wreck the entire week and you were the ones who made everything okay. I am forever grateful to you. Thank you so much.

We rented lounge furniture, and a bar from Showtime. They brought exactly what we ordered, set it up just the way we wanted and remove it promptly. I would definitely use them again.

Amil and Showtime Events did a great job for our school's post-prom event. Amil met with us at the venue to discuss options, provide guidance and suggestions and he followed through with diagrams and pricing as promised. His pricing was very competitive and he worked with us within our budget. The staff for the event showed up early and did a great job of setting up and making sure everything was perfect and as planned way ahead of time. No stress due to worrying about a vendor showing up late, etc. Everyone on his team was professional and they got the job done - including breakdown on a timely basis. The students loved the vibe Showtime Events created and i highly recommend them for future events.

Showtime Events was amazing!!! Amil was always responsive, professional and easy to work with. When we met at the Sunset Room for the first time and we discussed our vision, he said " Ok, it got it!" And did HE get it. The lighting was the perfect compliment to our floral decor and the Gobo he designed was gorgeous! I would highly recommend Amil and Showtime to anyone in need of lighting.

My wedding turned out to be so beautiful thanks to Amil!! He was so flexible with me deciding on the perfect lighting I wanted for my wedding. He was so patient and took a lot of time to show me the different lighting options. Everyone commented on how beautiful the room looked that night. The uplighting done by Showtime Events created a warm atmosphere. I was so happy with the final product. I remember being introduced into the venue and had not seen the room prior and once we both set foot into the room, I was impressed with how beautiful the room looked. It was exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend working with AMIL.....The best!!!!

I met Amil over a year ago to discuss furniture rental and lighting for my wedding. His prices were extremely responsible for the services I needed. He came to my venue to give me suggestions on what things to use for my event. He was on time and very professional. Even though I had an event planner, I would contact Amil directly and he always responded promptly. He did not try to sell me services which I did not need. He also has a great personality and approachable. His furniture was in excellent condition and I felt that my money was well spent. My guest loved the lighting. He even surprised me with the backlighting for my ceremony. I was expecting a white backlighting but he put the tiffany blue backlighting. I was in awe when I walked down the aisle!! He truly exceeded my expectations and I will use him for my future events/parties.

I absolutely loved my wedding because of Showtime Events! They did an amazing job from the initial meeting all the way up to the wedding. They delivered big time! From the first meeting, I was able to feel comfortable moving forward and retaining this company. They were very professional and orgainized and asked me what my vision was and they helped me create it and that made less work and less stress for me. Amil did a great job making sure the lighting around my stage was the specific color that I wanted because of my photographer.

I should have had them do everything at my wedding instead of using different vendors. The draping, the lights and the lounge furniture really made the ballroom look amazing.

I will be using this company for every future event I have.

I had a vision in my head and Showtime events brought it to life. They over exceeded my expectations and everyone who walked into the venue for my daughters sweet 16 party was blown away. They took a bare ordinary community center and turned it into an upscale "Miami Looking Nigh Club". We had random people in the area peeking in and inquiring if a celebrity was going to be there... It was truly amazing and the Showtime Events staff were great. Very professional, courteous, and they went above and beyond the call of duty to make this a memorable day.

I called Showtime Events for lighting for my husband's retirement/birthday party. It was a pleasure to work with Amil. He was very responsive to calls and emails and offered so many options for my event. I chose blue uplighting with a custom gobo. I used to think lighting was a nice addition, but after Amil's team installed the lights, I realized that it was the single, most important aspect of the party. It completely changed the look and feel of the room from a stark hall to a gorgeous, upscale looking space.

The custom gobo shining on the dance floor was a hit. The team were early and were there promptly at clean up time. I would definitely recommend Showtime Events for all your lighting needs.

Our venue looked amazing thanks to Amil from Showtime! He even threw in extra lights just to make sure our venue looked it's best. Amil was even kind enough to attend the venue walk-through with us to help recommend what lights would look best in the ballroom. SUPER TEEN PARTY ... The uplighting was a HUGE Bonus to my daughter’s “Teen 13” Party. Showtime Events did an amazing job orchestrating the lighting effects, especially the dance stage lights - wow!!. The lighting was perfect and colors were fantastic - the kids really enjoyed the party. Amil was wonderful to work with, and I will definitely utilize his services again. Our party consisted of pink lighting at the entrance, tall towers were lit up with rotating lights and the room had that “WOW FACTOR” - The lighting made the party magical and SO SO MUCH FUN!! Amil was so easy to work with and added some great ideas that made my party perfect. There’s no substitute for the illuminating lights – we had a ball! Thanks Amil for making it happen...

I recommend Showtime Events for anyone who needs lighting service - Amil is the BEST person to work with and he has the BEST pricing in the market. I've called more than 10 places in DC/MD/VA area for uplights,etc. that I needed for my wedding at the Ritz Carlton. A lot of the vendors I've spoken with quoted me the price double or triple of Showtime and were very unattentive and rude. But Amil was very nice, he took time to tell me exactly what would look the best for my venue and he took time out of his busy schedule to come check out the venue with me and even added several uplights and pinspot for my cake at no extra cost because he knew my budget and he wanted to make it look the best for my even regardless. I was SO impressed when I walked in to the reception ballroom and everyone had told me it looked AMAZING. all my pictures look amazing because of the lighting he's done and I can honestly say, showtime is the place to go if you need lighting service and you will NEVER find a better price and quality of service than Amil's Showtime. I recommend him 100% and I am SO happy I chose Showtime.

I used Showtime Events to do special lighting for my birthday party and it was beautiful. I contacted Amil only 2 weeks before the party and the response was great and I explained what I was looking for on the phone and it turned out perfect. I would highly recommend to friends.

Amil was excellent! I met with him once and he connected all of the dots for me. He knew the look that I was trying to achieve and was able to deliver. He came in and set everything up exactly how I envisioned. He was even able to assist me with a last minute addition and was very gracious about it. I would most certainly recommend Showtime Events/Amil for the professionalism, follow up, follow through and unobtrusive service.

Showtime Events, Inc. provided the lighting for our reception, which really made the room come to life. Although we went back and forth on deciding to have lighting; we must admit it was the best decision we made throughout the wedding planning process. Amil was great to work with as well, very professional, responsive, and reasonably priced. I would definitely refer Showtime Events, Inc. to anyone hosting an event. A definite must have!

Showtime Events (Amil) did a fabulous job during my wedding! I ordered PINK uplights, gobos on the dance floor and mic/speaker for the ceremony. The pink uplights and the gobos were absolutely gorgeous! I had my wedding at The St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Astor ballroom in itself is gorgeous but with all these lighting effects, it made the room even more gorgeous! I am so glad I did this. It was one of the last things on my wedding list but i dont regret it at all. Amil was very helpful and responsive. He did an outstanding job!
Showtime is also VERY affordable compared to other AV companies out there in DC/MD/VA area. Thank you!

I can not begin to fully express how thoroughly satisfied I am with the services I received from Showtime Events, Inc. They took my party to another level and the compliments I received about the lighting and decor were endless all night long! Not only do I completely recommend their services to others, I would not dream of having an event in the future without using their services. They definitely added the WOW factor to my event, without question.

My wedding was held on August 12, 2012 at the Atrium at Tree Top. I found Showtime through Wedding Wire and after checking out the website I immediately made contact. Amil made it so easy to work with and had so many wonderful ideas in transforming my venue into my dream wedding. He's creativity was beyond my expectations and I can't wait to work with him again. I would highly recommend he's service to anyone, he's very professional and extremely creative :-).

I worked with Amil for uplighting and gobo lighting. He was simply a pleasure to work with. The entire process was extremely pleasant. My colors were Tiffany Blue, silver and white and I had a Tiffany & Co. theme. I knew nothing about lighting but I told Amil I wanted the entire ballroom to be an Aqua color. His prices were much more reasonable than the other companies in my area. His website shows how good his work is but sometimes vendors dont really deliver what they say they can. However, the day of my wedding, as the DJ announced my new husband and I at the reception, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. The lighting was PERFECT. He captured the color effortlessly and created a wonderful gobo that read "Jones & Co." on the 1st line and our first names and date on the 2nd and 3rd line. Without the lighting, the reception would not have been as spectacular as I would have hoped. It would have been mediocre at best. I would recommend Amil to ANYONE. I have already referred him to my friend who is getting married in October of this year and she has already signed the contract with him!! She loves him too! He is so knowledgeble and proffesional. Thank you Showtime Events Inc.!!!!!!!!!!

Showtime Events did an awesome and amazing job at my wedding! Amil is extremely professional and worked with my Husband and I! He was patient and has perfect customer service skills. All of our guest were so impressed with the lighting and lounge furniture! It took our reception to another level and it created a relaxed party vibe! A co-worker of mines used Showtime Events recently and she was super satisfied with the services as well. I would recommend Showtime Events to everyone!!!

One week before my wedding I was searching online for a vendor who would do my Gobo & up lighting since the hotel was costing way too much. I stumbled across this company & talked to Amil. Very pleasant & helpful gentleman. He gave me s good rebate for the up lighting & gobo. Half the price for twice as much as the hotel was offering. Thank goodness he was available on July 1st. When I walked into the reception I was in awe. He transformed the room & added to the ambiance. For any bride out there looking for the wow factor, talk to Amil. He will turn an ordinary looking room into a magical ballroom for an unforgettable event.
I highly recommend this company, but especially Amil. I'm glad I continued to search for a lighting company until I came across yours. Thank you!!

The quality of service was fantastic. I was very pleased with the results. The staff was professional and responsive. My guests were in awe and the venue looked amazing with all of the special touches. They promised the "WOW" factor and they certainly delivered!! I found Showtime Events online. When I sent an email inquiry about their lighting services for my wedding reception I received a call the next day. The pricing was very reasonable compared to some of the other companies I researched. Amil was very helpful in explaining different lighting options. Anytime I had a question he was easy to reach. He was also helpful in recommending other vendors for other aspects of my wedding. The lighting turned out beautiful and my guest loved the look of the room. We got so many compliments We also had our name in lights on the dance floor which added a personal touch. I would highly recommend this company to any one getting married or just having party! They did an awesome job in making my event look beautiful!

I wasnt sure what I was committing myself to when I inquired about lighting, but Showtime was able to fully explain the lighting, ambiance, and responses that the guest would share regarding the lighted experience while in the party room. After setting up, the result was a sexy atmosphere ready to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday! Coupled with white leather furniture and table rentals, the traditional historic architectural structure of the party room was transformed into a modern, inviting, sultry, sexy, and ready to let your hair down celebration! The theme of the party was "Fly and 40" (fly means fabulous, fashionable) and the party room was just that! My sister was impressed, her guests were comfortable and had a marvelous time on the dancefloor which reflected my sisters' name in lights! Showtime is fair in pricing, flexible with times, and quickly responded to all of my texts, emails, and phone calls. I will work with this vendor for all of my lighted and furniture rental events!

Amil from Showtime Events was absolutely amazing!!! He did the uplighting for our March 24 2012 wedding and we were 110% satisfied! Showtime Events turned a old hall into an elegant lougne for my 40th Birthday party. The people who work at the hall could not believe the make over. They cried and were amazed at the transformation. Showtime was great -- they provided simple amber uplighting and string lights for our wedding and reception, and it really helped make our venue (the American Institute of Architects in downtown DC) feel warm and welcoming. They knew the space and made it work, and were flexible when we decided to move the festivities indoors because of the weather. On the day of our wedding, we didn’t have to worry about a thing, and everything looked great.

Showtime Events was great to work with for one of our clients big events for over 2,000 people. They very flexible and easy to communicate with. Everyone was very professional as well. I would certainly recommend them and would use them again.

This company was a huge disappointment. After the we had to move our wedding to a hospital due to the critical illness of a family member, Showtime was the ONE and ONLY vendor that did not work with us on a refund/partial refund. It is especially galling since 1/2 of the rental cost (for our original lounge style event) was for draping a room in fabric, not even for rental of furniture (that - to be fair- probably could not have been re-rented out with almost no notice). Even after calling and emailing for 2 months, we never heard back from Amil, they just kept our full payment even for set-up/delivery of items that were not delivered. APPALLING! It is very unfortunate and upsetting. We never even got the courtesy of a response from Amil (one of his staffers tried to get him to call us to no avail). I would NEVER work with this company and am making sure my friends that have weddings/events on the horizon are warned too. And my wedding planner would likewise never work with them again.
