Beyond Amazing!!

Raymond was a pleasure to work with. He was very flexible with my schedule to arrange meetings and phone calls before the wedding. He was extremely professional throughout the whole process.
Raymond did a great job at the wedding! He played songs from my list and requested songs! He kept the party going and no one wanted the night to end!!

We chose Raymond because of his professionalism, knowledge and experience. He was easy to work with, friendly, and listened to our likes and dislikes. Great music and great night

Raymond was fantastic in providing music and microphones for our outside ceremony as well as music for our reception. The music was perfect for cocktail hour and fun to dance to in the reception. He kept the flow of the wedding going and was extremely professional. Raymond provided other services like uplighting and projecting our names on the wall of the venue. He was very in worming with me to the names and font just right. I loved the uplighting it added a level of elegance.

10/10 Recommend!!!

We hired Raymond for our wedding on 8/20/22 and he was fantastic! He was easy to work with accommodated all our request (and we had some crazy requests) and he kept the party alive all night! If people weren’t dancing on the dance floor they were dancing outside because they couldn’t resist! We didn’t give much direction other than see what keeps everyone dancing and he did just that! He really catered to our crowd and played music that were perfect for us to have the time of our lives. He even went out of his way to set up and help with our rehersal which was so appreciated! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a dj! Thank you again!!

Went the Extra Mile

Raymond not only took the steps to prepare the music and play sets for the day, he also came out to the venue the day before to be there for the rehearsal. Raymond fit in as one of our family members and kept us all dancing and singing along. One thing you would never expect your DJ to help with is unloading all of our wedding crap, and let me tell you, Raymond jumped in and did more then the venue staff when we first arrived. We're so thankful that we hired Raymond for the day, he kept things fun and was able to read the crowd for what to play. Def a must hire!!!

Highly Recommend!

When we talked with Raymond, we really liked his approach to his playlists, in that he rotated music based on who was engaging on the dance floor. He was easy to work with and asked for our input throughout the process, which helped us feel like we could trust that our guests were going to have a great time! Raymond even came the night before our wedding and took part in the rehearsal to make sure the ceremony music was perfect. The Photo Booth was a big hit too, and he had lots of props included! DJ Raymond was a great choice for our wedding, and we definitely recommend him!

Raymond is there for whatever your needs are, and he will be involved as much as or as little as requested! Ray provided music for both our ceremony and reception, was incredibly prepared, and did not miss a beat. Our wedding guests did not leave the dance floor once dinner was over, and we are still receiving compliments about the music days later. Truly fantastic - I'd recommend Raymond to any future bride/groom :)

Easygoing and pleasure to work with

We would definitely recommend Raymond Phillips Sight & Sound for anyone’s upcoming engagement. Hired for our December wedding, he was easy to talk to, had a lot to offer and was easily accessible. Provided a survey to narrow down some specifics and set up a meeting face to face to make sure we’re on the same page. He played songs that kept our party going. Listened to what we were not looking for and made sure that it stayed in line to our interests. We only utilized him for music but he has so much more to offer for those interested — from lights, smoke machines and photo booths. Definitely helped make our special day one to remember!!

Incredible DJ!

Our DJ Thom was so good we had outsiders asking who our DJ was during our wedding. No joke: Our dance floor was packed the entire night, our wedding party and guests didn’t stop dancing! Best DJ Ever!

I truly wish I could give Raymond more than just 5 stars because he's probably our favorite vendor that we hired. He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and he nailed the vibe we were going for at each stage. He worked in all of our "must play" songs perfectly spaced throughout the nignt and kept people dancing until the venue kicked us out. He also had a lot of great suggestions on how to keep the flow of the night going that our guests told us they really loved. All in all if Raymond is available for your date you should book! The services are also a very reasonable price.

Outside September Wedding

I would like to say that Raymond Phillips of Sight and Sound was a great choice for our wedding. He is organized and provided guidance along the way for ceremony / reception timeline and song choices. He provides a questionnaire for couples to use which helps with organizing thoughts and thinking about all the details. He asks clarifying questions to ensure he can provide what you are looking for. He shows up with enthusiasm on top of years of experience. He was able to work in our venue location where there is no cell service, so he does not stream his music which means you get quality! He made our wedding extra special with closing out with Polka music which is near and dear to my family's heritage. It was not requested but was asked on-the-spot during the reception and he was able to deliver in a BIG WAY. It was super special and we are forever grateful for his time, attention to detail and special moments he brought to our special day.

The Best DJ

I have known Ray since forever. 10 years ago, he DJed my high school graduation party when he was just starting out. And he did a phenomenal job then. And now 10 years later, he is DJing my wedding. And was even more phenomenal. He pulled off everything we asked for, and really kept the party going. So many people said it was the best wedding they had been at in a long time, and that was huge in part to him. He is down to earth, and a great person and DJ. I could not recommend a person more to DJ your wedding or any event!

Working with Raymond was a highlight of our wedding day. He is so pleasant and made sure everything was correct. He was friendly and my guests had a wonderful time. He took requests with a smile and the song was played moments after. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars because he deserves way more. He arrived early, confirmed details multiple times and just made sure everyone was having a good time. My guests loved the games he played and his overall attitude. He was a dream to work with and I am extremely grateful to have found him!

The Most Amazing DJ

Raymond is a solid DJ. I have been to many weddings but none of the DJs are like him. He is so flexable and customizable he can do almost everything. I appreciate the hard work he put into our wedding day to make it as great as it was. He definitely played a big part in making it great.

A Great Wedding Music Experience

From my first conversation with Ray, I knew that working with him was the right decision. He went above and beyond to make sure the details of our special day were in order. He is incredibly knowledgeable about set up and arrangements, and he was flexible with some of our rainy-day back up plans. During the reception, he definitely read the crowd well and kept the fun going until the very last moments of the night. I can't imagine working with anyone else. I highly recommend Raymond!

Raymond was great. He worked with us to iron out all of the details beforehand, and then took a couple of last minute changes in stride. Great time on the dance floor!

Raymond was an absolute pleasure to work with! He is quick to respond and was patient & flexible with us and our back-and-forth plans due to Covid. I also appreciate how well he worked with our other vendors: we had live musicians for our cocktail hour but Raymond still arrived early to set up and even thought to mic the live musicians so that the music could be heard inside and outside of our venue! Once the dancing got started I don't think I was off of the dance floor for more than 5 minutes at a time. I just couldn't stay away! I heard all of the specific songs I requested for my must-play-list, and none of the ones on my do-not-play list! He is very experienced in wedding entertainment and it shows! I highly recommend Raymond Phillips Sight & Sound for all of your wedding entertainment needs!

Ray went above and beyond for our wedding. I was in contact with him for about 15 months prior to our wedding day and ever since the day we booked he was nothing but helpful and responsive. He also worked with us to keep his services in our budget. When it came to the week of the wedding, he made time to meet with us to walk through our day and go through details. He was extremely flexible and accommodating. I am SO HAPPY we went with Ray to DJ our day. Also his photobooth is perfect!!!

Working with Ray was a dream! He was always quick to respond to my questions and really fun to work with. He kept the party going at my wedding reception. Wonderful to work with, super pleasant, and had a fun experience!

I highly recommend Raymond Phillips Sight and Sound. Super pleasant and helpful with questions and music selections. The reception was fun . Perfect timing with music selection between kid time and adult time. Very responsive to what was going on and made the night super fun and memorable!

Expectations Exceeded

Raymond provided DJ services for our wedding and did a fantastic job! As soon as Raymond started playing prior to the ceremony the stress of setting up started melting away. Had a great time working with him on song selections for the ceremony, and he did an amazing job setting the mood for the reception. The guests had a great time. We had excellent communication setting everything up long distance, and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Raymond if you are looking for a DJ.

Made Destination Planning Easy!

Although Scranton wasn't a destination for most of our guests, we were living in Austin, TX while planning the wedding. Raymond was able to meet me virtually through Skype, phone, and e-mail to work out the timeline with me. He played every song we requested and respected our no-play list. My guests told me it was the best reception they had ever been to and there were always people on the dance floor.

Fantastic!

Raymond was our DJ and photo booth expert for the evening. He was extremely easy to contact and flexible with calls/meetings as we live out of town. Last minute (and I mean 5 mins before we walked in) the bridesmaids asked if he could mix different songs for them to walk in to and he on the spot picked the perfect points in the songs and created a fantastic mix (there were 9 girls!). Literally cannot day enough good about Raymond and his company. The combined DJ service and photo booth was extremely reasonable. I couldn’t imaging having done it any other way. Thank you for an amazing night!

Great experience--Oct. 2018

Raymond was very personable, friendly, and moderately priced. He was willing to meet several times prior to our wedding to get to know us as a couple, making sure everything was set to our liking. He communicates mostly through email, but responds within two days. The mix he created for the reception kept our dance floor full and even coaxed the most timid guests out for a dance! We would recommend him to anyone.

Great experience

Ray met with us before twice to ensure We were a good fit and that everything was in place before the wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole time. His suggestions were amazing. Everyone had such a great time. Photo booth is definitely the best value ever. He also did our ceremony which worked out great even no it was outside and a windy day. Raymond worked with us very well to help us get exactly what we wanted. The photo booth was fantastic and came with so many props. We loved that we received a flash drive of all the photo booth pictures as well. Raymond kept the flow of the evening going and was able to read the room so well and played the right songs to keep everyone's energy up. Raymond did a wonderful job at our wedding and kept our guests dancing all night! We had quite a few special songs and speeches that we wanted to incorporate and he did a great job facilitating with all of that. He was very easy to work with as was able to make shifts in the scheduled plan very easily that night as was necessary. I would highly recommend him and will personally use him again in the future.

Raymond Phillips is really easy to work with, accommodating, and knows how to get people on the dance floor to party. He DJ'ed at our outdoor ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour, and indoor reception without a hitch and was a large contributing factor to creating a memorable day for us and our guests. He is very easy to contact via e-mail, and he responded quickly and professionally. The process of filling out a questionnaire and reviewing it with Mr. Phillips over Skype assured us that he had our best interests in mind to personalize music based on specific track selections or based on our musical genre tastes. Even though we provided some open-ended suggestions regarding what to play during and after dinner, he absolutely nailed it by choosing the perfect tracks. After dinner, the dance floor was lively and full of family and friends dancing to his music selection. Even the groom's eighty five-year-old grandparents, who have not danced in over thirty years, went out to the dance floor. Furthermore, Mr. Phillips is open to taking requests from the bridge, groom, or any member of the wedding party. On a whim, the groom requested that Mr. Phillips play A-ha's "Take On Me", and after one other song, the groom, his groomsmen, and others were perfecting the high-stepping dance routine seen in the viral videos by "The Band of the Bold." We could not have asked for a better DJ than Mr. Phillips on our very special day.

It was wonderful working with Ray as our wedding DJ. He met with us several times prior to the wedding to ensure all our needs were met to make our wedding reception amazing! He can read a crowd well and knew exactly what types of music and/or songs to play at all the right times to keep all guests (of all ages) engaged and having fun! We also utilized his Photo Booth rental, which all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed! He has various photo strip designs to customize to your wedding vision, as well as a wide variety of props to make the Photo Booth experience one to remember! Ray is very passionate and dedicated as a professional and this shows through in all aspects of his demeanor and knowledge of how to make a reception run smoothly. He DJ'd my daughter's wedding this past Saturday and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The playlist was awesome, dance floor was filled all night long! Raymond was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in a DJ. Raymond actually found us and I did check into other options, but there was definitely something special about him from the beginning. He always got back to me quickly and he's super friendly. Ray listened to all of our requests and ideas and came prepared to rock the party! He was flexible at the party itself--playing songs on our schedule and even finding songs we may not have initially asked for, and he was also extremely personable and fun. He was willing to be as hands on or hands off as we wanted in terms of announcing. In addition, he pulled out a few special surprises that we didn't even know were coming. All in all, a magic evening, with a fantastic DJ who really understands how to throw a good party. If you're looking to spend your wedding on the dance floor--Ray is the DJ for you.

2019 Wedding

Raymond was a great DJ that is very professional and has been doing this a long time! He is no stranger to the wedding scene! We had a great night with him as our wedding DJ! I loved how Raymond had paperwork that we filled out ahead of time so he knew exactly what I wanted. He also has extra things including a photo booth and personal monogram for the floor.

Overall, Ray was an excellent DJ. He was always very professional when meeting with him and was very flexible with our work schedules. My husband and I were on a budget and his pricing met our budget needs. However, two improvements could be made for the future. One Improvement could be clarity when speaking. At times during the reception it was difficult to hear Ray speaking, he was too close to the microphone. Secondly, my husband and I were a little disappointed that some of the songs we had asked to play on our questionaire were not played. We had hoped for a country set to be played and it wasn't.

Good DJ that Played music for all ages.

Very professional. Played different ranges of music for all ages. Took recommendations and played them. Announced everything clear and was organized.
