Forward note: I only gave 1 star for responsiveness and professionalism because of the catering manager Barbara, who discounted my invoice by 75%. Had she not tried to help rectify the situation, Rasta Taco would receive negative stars in my book. I hired Rasta to cater my company picnic this past July, and it was THE WORST experience I have ever had with a catering company, and I have been in the events business for 6 years. 4 days before the event, Mario Melendez (one of the event coordinators) called and actually yelled at me over the phone, told me I was ridiculous and tried to make me pay for a menu mistake that he himself had made. Day of the event, he brought me the wrong entree items, wrong agua fresca selection, only 2 out of 3 types of salsa, food for 60 when I ordered food for 100 with extra quesadillas for the kids, I ordered handmade corn and flour tortillas to be made on site...they brought store bought tortillas and all three of the servers actually LIED to my face saying they were handmade onsite, and the churros I ordered to be served toward the end of lunch were never served and given to me in a tray that had been sitting in their UHAUL truck since before they arrived 4 hrs prior. The comments I received from my guests were gross,” “cold,” “mushy,” “disgusting,” ...the agua fresca was warm and tasted like it was fermenting (they did not served it with any ice) and the churros were as hard as steel rods.
