I cannot say enough about how happy my husband and I are to have picked South Shore Country Club as our wedding venue. We had the absolute best time thanks to Terese and all the staff.
Terese was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. Every one of her recommendations was spot on for both the venue and outside vendors.
I think the food tasting was the moment we knew we had made a really good choice. Our parents were blown away by the tasting. Every wedding should have mini fish tacos as good as these. On the actual wedding day and the food might have been even better than the tasting.
We loved everything about the night from the big dance floor perfect for a great dance party to the appetizers given during the family photos. I cannot recommend this venue enough. -

We recently had our wedding at Raffael's and it was incredible! Terese is the best wedding coordinator-- very organized, personable, responsive, helpful. We worked with her for about a year and she set us up perfectly for the big day. Her staff were very helpful as well. It's a well-oiled machine over there! My groom and I were very taken care of the whole time, and Terese made sure the night went off without a hitch. Couldn't recommend Raffael's or Terese enough. -

We were just married at Raffael's and could not be more happy with the venue and wedding coordinator Terese. During the planning process Terese was easy to work with, helpful, and responsive. Her genuine care for us was reflected in her accommodating and supportive responses to every issue that came up. During the wedding she was attentive and always seemed to be one step ahead of us and was able to solve any problems that came up before we even knew there was a problem. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and the food was incredible. We would highly recommend this venue! -

An incredible experience!
My husband and I had a beautiful wedding day. Terese and her team were incredible! Extremely organize and knowledgeable and made sure we understood every detail and price. We were never in the dark and she made the whole experience so easy! The food was delicious, the venue was perfect, especially the view of the golf course. I would highly recommend the south shore country club for your wedding day! -

We looked at many wedding venues in the South Shore/Boston area and knew immediately when we entered South Shore Country Club, we would love it. The Hingham ballroom was stunning and we loved the outdoor tent for cocktail hour. Right from the start, Terese was fantastic about communicating with us and getting the planning started. We had to postpone our June 2020 wedding and she was SO flexible and patient with us as we navigated those complexities. When we were ready to start planning again for our June 2021 reception, there were still many uncertainties regarding Covid and Terese was so understanding and communicated any changes with us. People would ask us how we were able to be so flexible and we would just tell them how amazing our venue was! Finally, when we got to the big day, Terese and the team at South Shore put on a flawless reception. Our family and friends raved about the amazing food (the slider bar was a huge hit!). They made sure we had everything we needed all night and Terese was even there at the end of the night to send us off. She helped my parents make sure they took everything home that they needed, after what was already such a long day. We truly appreciated everything about South Shore and would recommend to anyone. It was the perfect day! -

Truly the best
I cannot say enough about how grateful we are to have gone with Raffael’s for our wedding reception! We browsed a few venues on the South Shore, and it was immediately clear upon meeting Terese that we had found our place. Through the ups and downs of Covid, wedding planning, last-minute changes and adjustments, Terese was unbelievably accommodating, and made what could have been a really rough experience completely seamless and stress free. We had such an amazing reception, and we credit Terese with so much of that- we all loved working with her leading up to the big day and on the day of- Raffael’s worked to create an event that was both safe and incredibly fun. Cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you, Terese, and all of SSCC! -

Allison Sent on 10/19/2017I can not think of a more beautiful place to get married in Hingham than Raffael's! The views, the décor, the FOOD! It was all incredible. The day of team was very helpful and Terese went above and beyond from our very first meeting to make sure everything went smoothly! She was quick to respond to emails and always very sweet. Raffael's was able to accommodate our wedding flawlessly and I would highly recommend them (and Terese) to anyone looking to host an event! -

Bethany Sent on 10/02/2017Having our wedding at Raffael's was the easiest and best decision we could have made for our wedding. From the first day we visited the venue they made us feel like royalty and like we were their only bride and groom. They worked with us on every detail and we were able to modify the package to make it perfect for us. The food tasting was just one amazing meal after another making it so hard to choose which meal would be perfect for us. To show their attention to detail every meal came with a beautiful orchid on it. Terese and Frank went above and beyond and I never had to wait more than 24 hours before someone in their office got back to me. Every time we went to visit the site, eat dinner or play golf we were greeted like friends. The day of the wedding was magical they had set up everything better than I could expected and the room was perfect. They really took care of myself and my husband, and I even had my own waitress who followed me around with wine and french fries to make sure I ate something. At one point in the night someone had stepped on my train and ripped the bussel so Frank helped me pin it back up! The venue, the grounds and the food were something you read about in magazines, but the total experience was something out of a fairy tale.

The food was fantastic and the service exceeded my expectations. Terese is an amazing person and a true joy to work with. By far the best bargain for the quality. -

Ashlee Sent on 11/02/2011I would just like to say that I am more than thrilled with how my wedding day went at Raffael's. From day one working with Terese & Frank was an absolute pleasure!! My wedding went absolutely flawless and all of my vendors that I brought in said that they were amazing to work with as well. I consider them family now and I am thinking of what other party I can throw there, haha! I would do my wedding day all over again just to work with them.
Also, the venue itself is beautiful, it was exactly what I wanted. -

Heather Sent on 06/17/2010Raffael's was a new vendor to me and my groom as we had originally signed a contract with the previous caterer that the South Shore Country Club offered. However with the new ownership the managerial staff was more than accommodating to me as I had already booked with the venue under the old guidelines and packages. The staff and service super-exceeded our expectations and guests are still raving about the food and service that this vendor offered on the biggest day of my life. -

Hanna Sent on 06/28/2017We used the Walpole location. All of the photos on here are Hingham. They are a great option and value! I was not impressed initially with their responsiveness leading up to the 2nd deposit payment, especially with the lack of communication for the big "Tasting" event that they provide 1-2 seasons before the big day. However, I can’t deny the big value add from booking this venue is that their package included so many items! All we needed was a DJ, Photographer, and Officiant for the on-site outdoor gazebo ceremony. (They have an indoor option for unpredictable weather). We used the bridal suite for the getting ready photos and to store the important items as it's passcode locked. They wowed me with the responsiveness AFTER the event when I contacted them the florist Judy's providing the wrong floral arrangements! They immediately called me and arranged a refund.
Tina and Lynne are the Wedding Coordinators for the Walpole. We met with them several times before deciding choosing venue and DaVinci package. They updated the brochure to eliminate the middle option (DaVinci) and renamed the others to persuade people to either decide between basic or all-inclusive. I sent Raffaels e-mails with lots of questions throughout and they usually replied within the day. However, it was very annoying seeing only one side of the conversation especially when I asked on several times for "Reply All". We had a choice between 2 bakeries for the cake and 2 florists with our package, which we met at the Tasting. We met with Lynne the week after the Tastings to pick out our stationary, linens and napkins! For the Rehearsal, we worked with Joe. The day of coordination we worked with Lindsay. They were both very helpful, especially Lindsay! We forgot to remind them day of that we wanted the extra food not served boxed up. They still had them in the fridge and picked it up the day after.
