Radio Prophets played our wedding. Gerry was great to work with and got our vibe and the type of music we wanted exactly.
They also did all of the sound for the ceremony and speeches during dinner. They had a jazz quartet for cocktail hour and then a 6 piece band for the reception.
The band was amazing! They played everything from oldies, Motown to top 40 hits. All of the musicians were incredibly talented and so nice too. The vocalist was especially incredible! Overall, they brought an incredible energy and made the reception a blast!
I'd highly recommend Radio Prophets for any event and especially for a wedding -

DUDE!!! Talk about WOW factor!!! Gerry Smith is a 1-man party and honestly his videos don’t even do justice to the MASSIVE difference he makes on the dance floor and throughout the wedding day.
Don’t make the dumb assumption (like I did) that live Sax was a novelty add-on to a DJ set. I could not have been more wrong! When you have player of Gerry’s caliber, you have a profoundly elevated night wherever he is involved.
Gerry will belt iconic melody lines for razzle-dazzle performance moments (and has a whole list of Sax anthems for his couples to choose from) and expertly riffs along with the DJ set. He accentuates the tension of DJ transitions, adding drama to song builds and utterly shredding solos during drops. And the whole dance floor gets a close-up of the experience, because Gerry is out jamming with the guests 101% of the time, bobbing among social bubbles and patrolling dance circles like he’s a boxing ref.
Gerry’s interactive, dynamic performance does not merely add to the vibe, it multiplies it by a THOUSAND and teleports the dance floor to the 5th dimension. He really is that good, and I say that in unanimous agreement with the Bride, the Groom, and every last guest that partied like crazy last Saturday. After 3 hours of dancing, we were sweaty and smiling, having been sated by the scintillations of his righteous bellows.
“But what about the other parts of the day? Sure, he’s one of the best (or the best) wedding sax players in Santa Barbara (or in the country) when it comes to the dance floor. But I want sultry sax vibes for cocktail hour. Can he do that?”
UHHHHH, YEAH. For our cocktail hour, Gerry cast another teleportation spell, transposing all 150 guests to a 1940s New York lounge, sandwiched in between Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and a stiff martini. Justin Bieber was there too, because Gerry took multiple well-known pop songs and performed his own jazzy renditions of them that perfectly blended with the classic cocktail vibe. I mean, the guy is a MASTER at what he does.
If you can believe it, there’s one more BIG thing that sets Gerry apart - he is the sax player you want for custom moments. For the Bride and Groom’s grand entrance, Gerry played the emotional, powerful sax line to Jubel, timing his riffs with the MC announcement to etch a peak moment into the unforgettable memory of a perfect day.
That quality, more than anything else, is why I think he’s the best Saxophone player I’ve ever seen. Beyond the legendary dance parties, on top of the musical adaptability, exists a willingness and desire to go above and beyond for the Bride and Groom. He lends his full self to the make the Bride and Groom’s wildest dreams come true, preparing extensively and executing flawlessly, while fully dedicated to the couples’ vision.
Not only is that rare, it’s practically one-of-a-kind. -

Gerry is the BEST! Hands down the best sax player we could have asked for for our wedding. He kept the energy high all night long and completely transformed the dance floor. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he's also so much fun. He was out on the dance floor with our guests, playing alongside everyone and creating such an interactive, unforgettable experience.
The song selection was perfect, and every set had people dancing. Our guests are still talking about him! On top of that, Gerry was amazing to work with leading up to the wedding. He was professional, responsive, accommodating, and made the entire process easy and stress-free.
If you're considering hiring a saxophonist for your wedding or event, stop looking and book Gerry. He was truly one of the highlights of our wedding day! 🎷✨💃🕺 -

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Radio Prophets was hands-down one of the best decisions made for our wedding. They kept the dance floor packed all night, brought incredible energy, and made the experience so interactive, especially when Gerry joined the dance floor with his saxophone! What truly set them apart was their willingness to learn 10 new songs specifically for our wedding to match our musical taste. Not only that but my dad wanted to sing a Beatles song for me, and the band learned the song and were his background vocals. That level of dedication and personalization is rare and meant so much to us. Our guests are still talking about the band weeks later and telling us how much fun they had. The music was phenomenal, the energy was contagious, and they helped create memories we'll cherish forever. I cannot recommend these guys enough. You will not regret booking them. They are worth their weight in gold and were one of the very best investments we made for our wedding!! Love love love them! -

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The cocktail hour jazz quartet set the perfect tone — sophisticated, smooth, and beautifully performed. It created such an elegant atmosphere and had guests genuinely stopping to listen.
When the reception began, the band took it to a whole new level. We were completely blown away by the talent of the musicians and the energy they brought to the room. The transition from refined jazz to an unforgettable party was seamless and impressive. Truly world-class musicianship and an incredible experience all around. -

Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to cover it. I was at my friend’s wedding and this band absolutely outdid themselves. From the first song to the last, the energy was unreal. They didn’t just stay on the stage — they went right into the crowd, performing alongside the guests with sax, trumpet, and even a keytar. It was electric.
The guests were completely stunned and the dance floor never emptied. It felt immersive, fun, and truly unforgettable. This experience made it crystal clear why you hire a band and not a DJ — the connection, excitement, and live performance brought the entire celebration to another level. I can’t recommend them highly enough. -

BOOK THIS BAND FOR YOUR WEDDING! We booked Radio Prophets for our wedding in Paso Robles, CA. They did an outstanding job and showed more professionalism than I could even imagine. They even helped with some issues we were having with the venue as well as dealt with some serious wind blowing their sheet music around.
My husband and I have a very eclectic indie rock music taste and Gerry and the band agreed to learn over 10 of our songs. Not only did they learn our songs, but they also hired a special song that has similar music tastes to sing those songs, and they killed not only our songs but some good wedding classics as well. The fact that they went out of their way to do this exceeded our expectations and they seriously rocked. I was impressed that we had non-stop dancing all night, and it is 100 percent attributed to the Radio Prophets. They made our day more special than I ever thought possible. Thank you, Radio Prophets! -

I listened to everything Gerry sent me and that I could find online to hear The Radio Prophet's sound but on wedding day, all my expectations were blown away. The RPs sounded amazing and most if not all guests noticed. Gerry did a site visit which was required by our venue and adapted the band's setup to our venue. Their setlist was Funk leaning which we and our guests loved...popular with all ages. If I had to do it all over again, would choose Gerry and the RP's again.
