Amazing Images

Best. Photographer. Ever.
If you’re reading this, choose Rachel. You’re getting SO much more than just a photographer. From the very beginning she was open and willing to help in any way should could by suggesting vendors and answering any questions I had even if it wasn’t photography related. She was ALWAYS responsive and helpful. She’s so fun and if it says anything, my husband thinks she’s his best friend now. Lol I think her photography speaks for itself - Bright. Beautiful. Effortless. Film photography is so special and Rachel is amazing. I received several compliments from guests on how professional she was the day of the wedding too! Choose her!! You won’t regret it. :) -

Priceless pictures!
Rachel and her team did an amazing job at capturing our wedding day! She made us feel like a million bucks the day of the wedding. After the wedding she was quick to send us a sneak peak, which was so fun to look at! The pictures turned out incredible and now we can re-live our day through these beautiful images. Not only is she an awesome person, but she is also insanely talented. We are so glad we chose Rachel to capture our wedding day and I would highly recommend you do the same! -

Rachel was amazing to work with! Although it rained on the first two days we planned our engagement shoot, she was super flexible with us rescheduling. We had so much fun and we LOVE our pictures. Will be using her for all our pictures in the future! -

Most Talented Photographer Out There!!!
RACHEL IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! She is so fun to work with. My entire wedding party LOVED her! She is so so talented in film photography as well as digital. Getting wedding pictures in film from her is totally worth it! She always answered my emails/texts promptly, and worked with me on my requests. Her clients are her top priority. I’m not kidding when I say she’s the best photographer. She started as my photographer, and now she’s a friend. When your vendors can become your friend, that’s when you know you’ve picked the right one. -

I so badly wanted to like Rachel's services. She was amazing on the phone and answered all of our questions and was quick to respond during our booking experience and leading up to the wedding. She was so helpful as I did not have a wedding planner, and stepped in to help me navigate things you wouldn't know to do if you have never planned a wedding before. But when it finally came time to meet and take my bridals, things started to go weirdly. I was getting married in July in Texas so I was well aware of the heat, but I still wanted to brave a few pictures outside because my venue had beautiful scenery. I was shut down and told that I did not want that and that I would be too hot, and all of the pictures needed to be taken inside. I did stick up for myself and told her I still wanted some outside, and she told me we would get enough outside on my wedding day and not to worry about it. The day of the bridals, I still asked to go outside and she only wanted to go on the shaded porch of the venue. There were black mats on the porch that she assured me she would photoshop out (which was the reason I agreed to settle on this picture location) and they were not. I did not receive any of my bridals until the night before my wedding (and I only received 7, which I would later come to find out that she thought she had sent them all to me) On the day of the wedding, things started to fall apart. She was behind the whole day which caused me a lot of stress, and as the bride you do not want to be stressed. I had a lot of family members come to be after the fact and say that they felt like she had not been the kindest to them. Fast forward to post wedding, we received sneak peek photos about 5 days after our wedding. We were so excited to see them, but were almost left feeling disappointed because she chose some bad photos to send us. A few of them my husbands eyes were closed, or it was the moment right BEFORE the good shot (kissing photos where our lips hadn't touched yet), or they were blurry. We held out hope that the final shots would be what we were hoping for! About 13 weeks later.... still no photos. I know with COVID there was a delay with film processing, but our contract said 4-12 weeks and at this point it was crickets on her end, and she had not communicated any delay in delivery. I finally reached out, and she told me she would have my photos to me by the end of the week. I kindly reminded her that we were a week past the contract deadline, and she said she must've had my date written down incorrectly. The end of the week comes, and I reach out again, and she told me that they were uploading and that I would have them by the end of the day tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, and still no contact. I give her another day, and then I reach out. I get the same answer. This goes on for 2 more weeks, telling me they are uploading and i'll get them when they are done. We finally got out photos at 15 weeks post wedding date. I could have gotten over this, but so many moments I was excited to see were missing. I had to reach out again, and ask for specific photos and was told they were in there. They were not. And at this point, I still had not received my bridals which were taken a month before the wedding. We finally looked deeper into our photos, and our family photos were awful quality. The light coming from the back had completely taken over the photos, and instead of checking and adjusting in the moment, she kept on and took all of our photos like that, and delivered us super grainy photos and did not even mention them. Just sent them on to us without a word. If i was a photographer, I would not have sent my customers that quality of work without apologizing. They were nothing to be proud of. I have seen her photos, and i know what she is capable of, and these were not what she advertised. I would also understand if that was unavoidable because of the location, but I had seen so many photos of other weddings in that exact spot/time of day, and they came out beautifully. My photos with my bridesmaids were also cropped very close up, and when I asked if she had any full length photos (because I loved the details on my bridesmaids dresses and wanted to be able to see past their bouquets) I was told that she liked them cropped and if I wanted full length she would do it for me. I told her I wanted full length, and never got a response. About a month after receiving our photos, I worked up the nerve to ask her to reedit the family photos because our whole family was disappointed and none of them were useable. She did reedit them to be less grainy, but the difference was hardly noticeable. She offered to send us a print as "compensation" since we weren't fully satisfied. Keep in mind she broke our contract by passing the deadline, but only offered up compensation for the bad family photos. This was offered to us in December, and it is April and we still have not received anything.
I am not the type to write bad reviews because I really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but going back and trying to put together my photos for a wedding album and only liking 1/5 of them makes me so sad. I really wish I would have booked someone else because I cannot redo this day and get the pictures I had envisioned. Maybe she just had an off day the day of the wedding, but I just felt like I was being lied to about almost everything after the wedding had passed. -
