THE BEST DECISION WE MADE! Deciding to get married in Key West was an easy decision. Rachel was a perfect fit. From our first conversation she eased all of my concerns that are natural for a destination wedding. She provided a well-coordinated day that allowed us to focus experience our wedding day and be present in every moment. We especially loved how she captured us in our photos without the feeling of posing for routine shots. Each photo seems to speak to you. Overall, Rachel is a beautiful person. She is well known and respected throughout Key West so this is helpful for those pictures that you may need special permission. Stunning photos

We used Rachel for 3 hours for our super small intimate wedding ceremony and reception and we could not be happier with how our photos came out. When I was searching for a photographer, I wanted to find someone who didn't overedit and captured some good candid shots. Rachel did such an amazing job telling us what to do, where to stand etc etc. She has some really good and fun ideas which was super refreshing as we didn't know the area very well. Highly recommend Rachel!!

We highly recommend Rachel for your big day photo needs! She was outstanding from beginning to the big day and after. Rachel was great working with our plans, suggesting options for photo locations all around KW! She also found ways to include our 'dog of honour' in the photos as well! Rachel and her assistant were great the day of, capturing the day just so beautifully and making sure we got all the shoots we wanted with family and friends - all while keeping things fun and even capturing fun surprises we weren't expecting (in a great way). Amazing photographer !

Rachel was amazing! From the get go I knew that Rachel would be the perfect fit. Within the package that I chose, Rachel listened to what I wanted while keeping her professional outlook on the whole wedding. Always smiling and attentive she made everything run smoothly and made sure she did not miss a thing! With Jessica, her team photographer, they were able to get two different perspectives for the same moment which was awesome. Things happen for a reason!

I want to start by saying Rachel is so talented and amazing at her craft! Our original photographer/videographer moved out of state and let us know three weeks before our wedding! Rachel is amazing!

Rachel photographed our wedding at Fort Zachary Taylor on February 20th and she was just incredible. Booking her was super easy to begin with and she was really communicative in the lead up to the wedding. She was also really flexible on timings and the schedule for the day; she gave us an initial schedule and let us adapt it to fit our day best. We had a very small, low-key wedding and neither myself nor my husband or family are very good in front of the camera and she made us all feel comfortable as soon as she arrived. She instantly knew how to get the best photos out of all of us and was so much fun and super friendly. We only had 3 hours booked with her but she managed to fit SO much into the time and didn't make us feel at all rushed or like we missed out on anything. Her knowledge of Fort Zachary is amazing too; she knows all the best spots to get some amazing pictures so absolutely let her guide you if you're having your wedding there! Hiring her as our photographer was the best decision we made and I could not recommend her enough; she made our day even more special and we cannot wait to see all the photos!

Wonderful Photography

I cannot express how incredible Rachel was at capturing our wedding! We did not have a traditional wedding so a full day package would not have suited our needs and we were so thankful that Rachel offers an hourly rate. With her services, we were able to go to a couple of different locations for our pictures and she supplied the transportation which took a lot of stress off of our shoulders. She was so easy to work with and was great at making the process relaxed and fun! She captured some truly magical moments that we can now cherish forever. I would recommend Rachel to anyone for any photography needs.

My husband and I decided to Elope in Key West in May 2019. Hiring Rachel for our elopement wedding in Key West was literally the best thing we ever did! She is absolutely amazing.
We were so overwhelmed trying to find the right photographer (and all the other elements to make sure our day was just perfect). Photography was one of the most important factors for me (aside from my dress of course ha!) because the photos were how we were going to remember this day for all of lives!
When I found Rachel’s page on Instagram, I knew instantly she was the person for us. I reached out to her and she was very responsive and accommodating. She calmed me instantly when I spoke with her on the phone. She knew exactly what we wanted and sent us samples of locations she suggested (my husband and I have never been to Key West – I should mention that part. We hired Rachel for 1 hour and received over 250 photos, which by the way she took us to 5 different locations, picked us up from our hotel, drove us to the ceremony location and took us back to our hotel! She is a PRO and not to mention has the best personality, which made our time with her so enjoyable and stress free!
If you are searching for a photographer, just stop and hire her already!

Thanks Rachel!!

Rachel was our photographer for our 1.8.19 destination wedding and she was way more than just a photographer to us. After our first phone conversation we knew that there was something special about Rachel. She was more like a planner for us. She helped us with our day of timeline and even helped us get in contact with a new planner after one we previously hired didn’t work out. If it wasn’t for Rachel I honestly don’t think our wedding would have been as successful as it was. Since we were getting married coming off of a cruise ship our wedding timeline was very condensed since we only had a few hours in Key West. Rachel graciously took us around Key West both before and after our ceremony so that we could get as many pictures as we could with the little time we had. Rachel is THE BEST!!!!

I literally can’t say enough good things about Rachel! She was the first vendor my wife and I booked when we started wedding planning - after seeing images of hers on Pinterest while searching for Key West Wedding ideas - and we couldn’t have been more pleased with that decision.
Dealing with her remotely ahead of time was a breeze, she’s super responsive and helpful via email. The day of the wedding Rachel was a fun, silly, calming presence for us. She felt like a friend that we had known for years, someone you would want to chill and have a beer with, which really put us at ease. She was also super prepared with water bottles, mints, blotting papers.. literally thought of everything! And her eye for creativity and spontaneous photos was amazing - a puddle, conch shell, a tree, all made for these awesome shots. We love the results, so happy with how she was able to capture our special day.

No better photographer in the keys!

Rachel captured our destination wedding in July 2018 in Key West and we could not have asked for a more fun and professional photographer! She has an eye to capture things that we could have never imagined. She’s the BEST hands down and would recommend her to everyone!
Being that we are not from The Keys she knew all the landmarks to hit for the looks we asked for. She took our direction and made everything look AMAZING! She made us and our entire wedding party so comfortable and always made sure we looked flawless despite of the hot weather. Her team is top notch! Always making sure we were cool whether it was with water or handing out rice paper- her colleague even let my nephew wear her sunglasses in one of the shots to make sure he didn’t feel left out.
I can’t thank her enough for capturing all of our candid moments and making them look perfect! Our canvas looks phenomenal and she even went out of her way to send us a little gift with all of our wedding photos

Best Wedding Decision

The first big vendor decision we made for our wedding was picking our photographer. Picking Rachel was by far THE BEST decision we made for our wedding. I knew after my initial call with her that there was something special about Rachel. She outdid any and all expectations we had of a vendor. On the big day, she made everyone so comfortable and we had many friends and family members comment on how impressed they were by Rachel and her assistant, Jess. Amazing photography!

My partner and I were married on 5/11/2018 and we had the pleasure of working with Rachel as our main photographer and Jess was her assistant. We’re from New Jersey so we didn’t know many of the Key West vendors and depended on the reviews we’ve found on different websites. I was responsible for finding our wedding photographer and wanted to ensure we’d get along and had the same vision.

When we had our first meeting with Rachel in her loft space we were quite impressed. To be able to meet her, have her explain her approach and the way she worked really brought a sigh of relief to us. We knew right away we wanted to work with her even if it would be long distance.

If you’re having a destination wedding, do not fret when you’re working with Rachel! She was so responsive with our emails we typically got a response from her during normal business hours and sometimes over the weekend. She addressed our questions with poise and grace.

Prior to our wedding we were fortunate enough to meet with Rachel in person one more time. During this meeting, we went over every detail of our wedding and had a great timeline of the overall day. She listened to every request but was not afraid to suggest logistical alternatives that may’ve been better. We even went over what type of photographs were our “must have’s”.

On our wedding day, we met prior to our ceremony and did our formals at a relaxed pace. Being in numerous wedding parties, Rachel’s approach was more efficient and streamlined. We cruised through all of our “must have’s” and the photos came out amazing! Our wedding party looked so relaxed and it shows in the photos. During the cocktail hour and reception, our vision was to capture the energy and exuberance of our day. Rachel really went above and beyond what we expected.

After our wedding she really stuck to her timeline as promised and kept us looped in. She delivered everything as promised and when she promised it. Highly recommended!

My husband and I met Rachel about a year and a half before our wedding. We instantly liked her and her work however we wouldn't know what a great pick she would be until our wedding.

We were married 10/7 just a week after Key West opened from the devastation of Irma. Rachel was in contact with us the entire time we waited for updates to hear if our wedding was still going to happen. She contacted our other vendors, helped coordinate and really went above and beyond. Not only did we love her photos but our wedding wouldn't have been the same with out her and her assistant Jess. From the start, Rachel went above and beyond my expectations. She really listened to my back story and you could see it in the way she shot her pictures. Rachel and Jessica did an awesome job at our wedding on November 19, 2016 at Marriott Beachside in Key West!!! I can't say enough good things about how gorgeous our wedding pictures are. In the beginning of choosing Rachel to be our photographer, she was extremely professional, prompt, and organized. She is truly talented and you can trust that you are going to have great pictures that will last a lifetime. Not only is she talented, it is obvious that she loves and takes pride in her work, which any client appreciates. We also received our online album very quickly to be able to order pictures through her printing service in time for Christmas gifts for family. We had a destination wedding in Key West this past October and hired Rachel as our photographer. First of all, she's amazingly cool...great vibes, very happy and full of artistic energy! We noticed this immediately upon speaking with her before we hired her... After meeting her a few days before our wedding, our initial feeling was confirmed!

Rachel knows Key West thoroughly and Key West knows Rachel! As we went around the town for photos on our wedding day, everywhere we went, someone knew her! She knows where to go for the best photos! Take her advice! Throughout our wedding day, she was with us and captured our entire day and nite.

We just got our final pictures back and they are fantastic! Throughout the entire process from initially speaking with her regarding her services to after she delivered our final pictures she's been incredibly professional! She's always immediately responsive to emails and / or voicemails.

We spoke with several photographers in the Keys and we'd hire Rachel over them all again! She's awesome! The scary part of having a destination wedding is making the right choices on your vendors. You have decisions to make and the right choice for a photographer is essential to your wedding memories. She went above and beyond our expectations!

Ps: she also pays attention to details like how we met. She surprised us the day of our wedding with sushi roll cupcakes (Angie and I met and got engaged at our favorite sushi restaurant in NJ).

Rachel was simply awesome! Our experience with her couldn't have been better. Her fun and energetic personality meshed well with our wedding party and her on-the-fly photography skills provided some beautiful and unique memories. Our "Around Key West" session was a blast and she knows exactly where to go for the best shots. She even picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel! Our courthouse wedding was small and no fuss but we still wanted professional photos of our special day and we found Rachel. We told her some ideas of what we wanted, she bounced ideas of her own, and we accomplished a lot in the time we were scheduled for. She even took some more shots later that day in the evening after our time was over, a strong indication of how much she cares about the couple she's working with. She was a blast to hang out with during the small amount of time we had. After the session was over it was sad to see her go because it felt like we had a close friend with us during our wedding day, a true testament to her good nature.

Rachel was fantastic to work with! I planned my wedding from New York and she was very helpful and had great insight on Key West and the wedding Industry. I screened all the photographers and I thought she was the most professional. approachable, friendly and scinciere. She was super organized which made everything so easy with the long distance planning.

When I arrived to key west I met with her to go over everything and I knew then and there that I made the best choice in a photographer. Not only did my I fall in love with her my husband (finance at the time) was very impressed and he's a worse critic then myself.

I warned Rachel of the different personalities in my bridal party and she took control of everyone like a true leader.

I honestly felt very comfortable with her, as did my entire bridal party and guests.

She had a few surprises up her sleeve like some poloroids and sparklers, which I didn't expect at all. It was a nice touch to the evening.

After the wedding she sent a sneak peek which was phenomenal and it 100 percent got me so excited to see all of the photos. When I received all of my photos there were so many moments she picked up that brought me and my husband right back to that day!

Picking A photographer is a very important part of wedding planning because after all said and done what you have left is threse lovely visuals that will bring you back to those amazing moments. There is only one photographer in Key West that I would recommend to anybody and that is Rachel Ligon!!! She is by far an incredible photographer, professional and person!

Rachel is a top rate photographer. We really appreciated the way she organized all the shots on the wedding day. She had us in all the right places with the perfect light. The getting ready and first look shots transitioned smoothly to the ceremony and her organization really melted away any stress or anxiety we had. We also did her around Key West package which was great because she knows the best spots on the island for pictures. We just got a sneak peak of our pictures and they look awesome!

Rachel is awesome. The pictures were stunning. She is so easy to work with and awesome with kids. My grandsons adored her.
Rachel is a true professional she handled everything with ease or at least she made it look easy. I can not find the words for how wonderful Rachel made our day from our first look photos to our traipsing around Key West for the perfect shots at the perfect time. Rachel was a wonderful photographer!! I could not have had a better experience. As an out of town bride, I was very concerned about finding reliable vendors. Rachel was %100 reliable and went above and beyond to provide me with all necessary information. Before, during and after I felt confident I made a great choice in a photographer. What can I say…Rachel is amazing! We met Rachel in 2013 when she took our engagements pictures in Key West. We had an instant connection and became friends. When it came time to planning our wedding, I could not imagine having anyone other than Rachel capture our special day. We flew Rachel up for a long weekend and she fit in with our family perfectly. Her fun loving spirit, kindness, and generosity was seen by all. This was her first wedding she photographed outside of Key West and I wanted to make sure it was special for her too.
Rachel photographed everything from our rehearsal dinner, our wedding and everything in between. Rachel made sure we knew exactly what to expect at each turn in planning and guided us through the entire wedding day with ease. Rachel is extremely talented and her picture are incredibly beautiful. She captured every moment I had asked for and more. We're from Chicago but wanted to get married in Key West. Planning an out of state wedding and trying to coordinate all the services and vendors can be QUITE the ordeal! Luckily, we found Rachel. She was so helpful. She was sweet and kind and so patient with me while I tried to plan our day. Once we got into town and met with her, she made us feel right at home. Rachel is a fantastic photographer! My wedding photos were better than I expected. We were suppose to have a beach wedding on Sunset Key. We ended up getting married in the garden instead of the beach because the wind was so bad that day. However, my photos were amazing. Rachel used the wind to our advantage! I have really great pictures of my dress blowing in the wind. I was really happy with Rachel she is very friendly and is exceptional at what she does. If I have another event in the Keys, I will be using her for photography.

I booked Rachel for our wedding photography based solely off one phone conversation and the pictures of previous weddings on her website (destination wedding). I was nervous, but once we met with her during our planning trip, all nerves were gone! She went above any and all expectations we had for a photographer. I had a long list of "special" photos I wanted taken, and she made sure she got all of them! I received my full digital album this morning and am absolutely thrilled with every picture.

Where do I even begin? Rachel is an absolute gem. Great photography was a priority for our wedding, and from our first consultation, we totally clicked, and I knew she was the obvious choice. With over 10 years of experience here in Key West, she is so knowledgable. Rachel also did our unique engagement shoot, and since my husband and I had met at Halloween party, she got really creative capturing our adventurous spirits at Fort Zach as we wore our original Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider costumes! Leading up to the big day, she was incredibly helpful when planning the schedule, working hand-in-hand with our coordinator, Nika. On the day of the wedding, Rachel jumped in, starting with photos of our rings, my dress, and everyone getting ready. She has a calm and unobtrusive presence that allowed for natural moments to unfold. During the family and wedding party photos, she gave very savvy directions to make sure they turned out great. And at the wedding and reception, she was like a ninja, capturing every precious moment and gracefully dodging the amateur photographers among our guests. During the cake cutting, she even patiently explained to us how to do it - I was so giddy I could barely think straight! So other than being an ultra professional, she is incredibly kind. Needless to say, our wedding photos turned out AMAZING!!! Every single shot is beautiful, inspired, and deeply meaningful. We couldn't be happier with these treasures to help us relive the best day of our lives, and we can't thank Rachel enough!!!

First let me say Thank Goodness for Rachel! She was amazing from start to finish! When Jamie and I started looking for a wedding photographer in Key West, we had NO IDEA how lucky we were to of signed with her!

Rachel was always available for questions via phone or email. She was even kind enough to recommend places for our reception. Which were all fantastic by the way! She knew the locations like the back of her hand! Which, in turn allowed her to get some truly breathtaking pictures!

Also, Rachel worked flawlessly with our entire wedding party! We all felt so relaxed with her, we hardly noticed her weaving about, snapping shots of friends and family. Which was every important to my husband and I. Now we have these beautiful pictures of us having fun, being silly, and becoming a family all in the same day.

There are lots of people who can take pictures. However, it takes a rare talent to tell a story, and capture all those amazing moments like Rachel did for us.

Rachel was an awesome photographer to work with! She is exactly what you need when having a destination wedding. Being the bride, I needed someone to guide me in the right direction and just take control ( I was tired of making decisions), and Rachel did just that and beyond. Rachel took amazing photographs of our wedding as well as fantastic "around Key West" photos several days later. She was able to get everyone into the pictures we wanted in a short timeframe following the ceremony at the beach and had great ideas for the KW photo locations. None of the photos felt (or look) overly posed or staged which I think can easily happen with formal photos.
I would absolutely recommend Rachel!

Rachel did an amazing job of capturing our wedding and all the festivities in just a few hours. We contracted her last-minute (thank goodness she had a last-minute cancellation!) and she was more than willing to work within our budget by creating a unique package for us. We met a couple days before the wedding when I arrived in Key West; I planned the whole event from a distance and had never been to Key West. Rachel had great ideas for photo locations around Key West, as well as on-site at our venue. On the day of the wedding, she was early to arrive and made sure we got all the shots we wanted before departing. She was great at herding many guests and wedding party members to get all the shots needed, while allowing us to enjoy our cocktail hour and reception. We got our proofs back quickly and will be ordering some photo books from her due to the quality she puts into the final product. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and spend more money for more time with her camera and photography skills.

We absolutely loved Rachel as our photographer and we were so thankful to have her be a part of our wedding. Rachel was the only vendor we had who made us feel like all we had to do was show up and the rest would be taken care of. She was professional, helped with wedding timing, had a clear vision and helped us develop ours. Rachel was always prompt, used every minute we had booked with her (plus her own time) and most importantly was interested in making the day special for us in every possible way. As clients, we had a couple special requests for Rachel that she not only met, but far exceeded (we wanted a sparkler picture, a picture to use for post card thank yous and we wanted to incorporate a starfish in our ring pictures). Rachel was also great with our guests making sure we got all the group photos we wanted.

Simply put, Rachel is the best to work with, so creative, and gets the most insanely beautiful shots. We would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer.

My husband and I were set on a destination wedding to Key West, Florida. And while we were incredibly excited, anticipation of the planning time was beginning to become stressful for me. As if planning a wedding in your hometown isn't crazy enough, planning from 1,500 miles away can be really overwhelming. Just like any bride, I wanted to be sure I had pictures to last a lifetime from a photography who could really be flexible with our situation. With Rachel E. Ligon, that's exactly what we got. The planning stage was simple - Rachel was always prompt and available with email and phone correspondences to explain packages and options. During a few quick planning trips to the Keys, Rachel made herself readily available at last minute's notice for my parents and myself on two separate occasions. On our wedding day, Rachel was extremely mindful of our style and wants. She made the photo session fun and enjoyable. She got some phenomenal shots and made it near impossible to pick my favorites (it was a good problem to have)! After returning home, Rachel's attention didn't waiver. She still sent corresponding emails to share the photos, and walk me through, step by step, how to choose favorites and order photos on her user friendly website. Rachel not only did an excellent job taking and editing, but she also was VERY ACCOMMODATING as we had a hometown reception two weeks later. Understanding our want to display photos from the ceremony day, Rachel worked quickly a edit a group of photos an sent them within days, giving us a whole week to get ready. We can not thank Rachel enough for her hard work and beautiful photos. I would recommend her services to any bride looking for a wonderful photographer.

Rachel was incredible from start to finish.

When looking for photographers for our wedding, my husband and I set up meetings with several photographers on the same day. Rachel was the first we met and she was everything we wanted and more. Not only is she a talented photographer, but she knew everything we could possibly want to know about having a Key West wedding. Rachel recommended everything to us, from what hotel we should book, where we should have our "first look" to where we should have our reception dinner. Her recommendations were incredible and it was great to have someone who was familiar with the area to rely on. In addition, her prices are consistent with other wedding photographers in Key West.

After meeting with Rachel, we went to our second photographer meeting. After that meeting we cancelled all the rest. We knew Rachel was the one for us.

On the wedding day, Rachel was there for us every step of the way. She helped us create a schedule for the day and helped us stick to it. She was cheerful and you can really tell that she loves her job. We had family come in from Europe who couldn't speak English, but she still managed to capture such incredible photos of everyone.

Everyone loved her. Even my husband, who HATES having his picture taken, was so at ease with Rachel, he actually enjoyed the process.

If you're lucky enough for Rachel to have an opening on your wedding day, you are crazy not to snag her.

My fiance planned a surprise engagement in Key West and booked Rachel to shoot the actual engagement and to take pictures afterwards. Rachel was great! She had so many different picture ideas so we had a wide variety to chose from. She was so warm and friendly, that it made the shoot that much easier. She even emailed us some preview pictures within a few hours!! She was prompt with all emails and emailed us all the photos in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Rachel!

Rachel was a joy to work with ~ it was extremely important to both my husband and I to work with a photographer who was "flexible" and would let us "do our thing." While we enjoyed / appreciated having posed for a few pictures, we also wanted candid pictures of "us" being "us." Rachel listened to our desires and worked accordingly. Rachel was awesome! The BEST person we worked with on my wedding day, and an incredible photographer to boot (both me and my husband have dabbled in photography too). She met with us the day before the wedding to go over where we would photograph around the hotel grounds and we told her a bit about ourselves, and other special shots we wanted to get. Rachel is very professional, showed up not only early to the meeting, but also more than 30 min before she was scheduled to arrive on the wedding day!

I've never seen a photographer were a "utility belt" before, as she came armed with tissues (to help keep us try in pics, despite KW humidity) and extra bobby pins for fly-away hair. (Thank goodness for the tissues, as the whole wedding party needed it!) She got every angle and detail, which was amazing since my family brought quite a bit of the wedding decor and favors from home (ours was a destination wedding).

There's not enough room here to say how wonderful Rachel is, as a photographer and as a person. Hire her, and you'll see she's hands-down the best photographer there is.

Rachel did an excellent job as our photographer. We felt comfortable with her, and she was very accommodating to our two year nephew. She made sure to take all photos with him first, so he was able to get out of the heat and cool down before the ceremony. She was open to ideas, and made sure she was checking her photos to see if we needed to change things up. My husband and I have vacationed in Key West multiple times and have used Rachel to take our photos twice. She does an excellent job. We are already planning to use her next year when we renew our vows. Rachel will give you tips on best time of day and best locations on the island. She loads all the pictures on her website which is really user friendly and the price is reasonable as well. We highly recommend her!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Rachel for our Key West wedding in November. It was truly amazing to be photographed by her! Both my husband and I are not exactly comfortable in the spotlight, or the camera lens for that matter, so thinking of a few hours of photography dedicated to us was a bit unnerving. However, Rachel made us feel as if we were goofing off at home with one another (which is our favorite pastime!). Because of her talent of making us feel like we were in our own backyard, our pictures came out incredibly awesome and sensationally beautiful! Everyone who has seen them has commented on how great her ability to catch the moment hits you the moment you see her pictures.
She is not only super talented; she is super cool and laid back, while keeping the upmost professionalism. If I did our wedding all over again (which I wish I could because we had so much fun), I would hire Rachel to captivate the moment in a heartbeat!!

Rachel was amazing! She was so much fun to work with ans she had a lot of great ideas for our photos. Every time I sent her an email, she got back to me right away, or she would call. She helped us keep our wedding day on time, all while making sure we got all the shots we didn't even know we wanted. After we got our photos, we were blown away by the amazing job she did. She caught all the little moments that would have gone unnoticed by everyone else, such as my husband and I laughing at each other. Rachel was amazing!!!!! We did some Honeymoon pictures around Key West and had a good time (even my non-photo taking hubby agreed it wasn't too bad) She is great at capturing every moment of the session. The pictures we received when we returned home were great!!! I like that she gives you all the pictures from your session not just the ones she feels are good (including one of me picking something out of my husband teeth)!! I would recommend Rachel to anyone looking to get pictures taken in Key West.
Rachel is so nice that she even followed us back to our hotel to make sure our electric car didn't die on us and leave us stranded.

Rachel was THE BEST! I would recommend her to anyone getting married in Key West, FL. From the first email to the wedding day, Rachel was AMAZING. We were married on the Floridays Sunset Cruise and Rachel knew when to request for the captain to turn the boat and catch the perfect sunset for our picture background. She caught every angle of every pose, every family member's smile, and never stopped shooting until the wedding night was over. My pictures were returned to me within a week and they are beautiful. Rachel is absolutely amazing! Very professional yet personal. After a minute talking to her you feel like she is a part of your friends and family. We were feeling kind of awkward at the beginning of the photo shoot as we have never done this before, but with Rachel being so professional, polite and really a Great Leader with a lot of knowledge that minute was over quickly)))

I have been in over 12 weddings in the past 20 years so I have met my share of photographers. My husband and I researched each and every photography business available in the Keys before choosing Rachel. I actually spoke with a few and she came across as the most authentic and down to earth. Planning a destination wedding can be very stressful, especially when you have no recommendations at all. Rachel was amazing. I emailed several other photographers, and I did not receive the prompt response from any of them that I did from Rachel, some I did not hear back from at all. I hate having my picture taken, and she made me feel so relaxed and at ease. And of course our pictures turned out amazing and she was reasonably price. You cannot go wrong with her! There are so many choices of wedding photographers down in Key West. We probably contacted most of them, gauging their professionalism, as well as their personalities. I can't say enough good things about Rachel E Ligon Photography! When planning a destination wedding, it's very hard to know how good your vendor is until the day of the wedding. Not knowing anyone else that was married in Key West, we didn't have the convenience of asking a friend for a referral. Talking with Rachel really helped ease our minds. She was very responsive and had no problem answering our thousands of questions. She worked with us on our budget and even when we ran an hour late the day of the wedding, she was understanding and accommodating. Planning a destination wedding in Key West with family from all around the world was one of the most stressful but enjoyable things I have ever accomplished. We eloped to Key West on New Year's Eve. Rachel truly captured our love for each other as well as the fun we had celebrating our marriage on Duval Street. Exceptional Photographs, Professional Experience

It was such a pleasure working with Rachel. She was incredibly professional and responsive from the outset. She is really great at putting people at ease.

Rachel took the time to understand our families and set the right sequence of posed photos in advance. She was very flexible with our timeline and where we wanted to put emphasis - we wanted fewer "getting ready" shots and she was happy to accommodate that, even though, with two brides, there was a fair bit to cover!

Maybe most important (next to the photos themselves!), Rachel and Jess were just great people to hang out with on our wedding day. We did an "around Key West" hour which was a terrific break in the day and produced some of our favorite shots.

The photos turned out beautifully and we will cherish them!

I am so glad that I found Rachel to do the photography for our destination wedding in Key West. She was great to talk to and plan with over the phone leading up to the date and she was very flexible with however we wanted to do things with breaking up the time and multiple locations. On the day of, she was so helpful with everything. She stayed calm and yet was excited. One of our favorite things was the free offer to jump off the pier the next day. She picked us up at the hotel the next morning in our wedding clothes and we got some priceless pictures as newlyweds making a leap into the ocean. It was so much fun!

We got our DVD of all of the high-resolution images for our use in record time - less than 2 weeks after the wedding! Everything looks great and we are so happy with Rachel's work.
