Wedding photos
I am so happy that I had Rabecca shoot my wedding. She was responsive and professional. Through some hiccups the day of the wedding she truly made an effort to step aside from her role as a photographer and help out as best she could to help the day run smoothly along with checking in on me. She made me feel comfortable while taking our pictures which I think is extremely important! She was so pleasant and fun to work with and I can’t wait to use her for memories in the future -

Rabecca is a fun, detail oriented, and professional photographer. She not only shot our engagement photos but she also recently shot our wedding, and she blew our expectations out of the water! Her personality, creativity, and knowledge shines through in her work and she really made my wife and I feel like stars on our wedding day. She also managed to work with our timeline, and was able to work with our vendors and family in a professional manner. I would recommend Rabecca and her team to anyone who wants their day to be encapsulated in such a timeless and lovely manner. Rabecca rocks! -

Such a great experience!
Rabecca is so wonderful to work with. She’s so kind and does whatever she can to make sure she captures everything on your special day. Our coordinator quit and Rabecca was even helping pour wine during our reception. The photos and video were beautiful and working with her is stress free.Rabecca Cruz Photography's reply:

Best wedding photographer! Light & airy
Rabecca and her team were absolutely AMAZING!!! From our engagement photos to wedding day, Rabecca was a joy to work with! Rebecca and her team were nothing short of amazing. I don’t consider myself photogenic but Rebecca knows how to direct you to get amazing shots that look fantastic. She took the time to get to know us and what we like. Her and her husband were great at directing us and posing us in just the perfect light and area. Beyond our engagement and wedding photos, we know we have found our photographer for anything we need and would recommend her to anyone who wants to have amazing photos to remember these moments!

Choose Rabecca full stop. She was wonderful to work with, helped me pin my veil, was a easy to communicate with and is able to edit photos in multiple styles so when you choose her it’s like getting multiple photographers in 1! My husband and I both are not the most comfortable people in front of the camera and she made us lighten up to get amazing shots that don’t look obnoxiously posed. She also did a great job learning what poses were and were not us. TLDR she’s amazing book her now.Rabecca Cruz Photography's reply:

Robby and I hired Rabecca for our wedding photographer because she came highly recommended by our friends. She did out engagement photos AND wedding photos and we are thrilled at how well they came out. She is truly magical with such a great eye for lighting and scenery. We look our BEST in her very capable hands. AND she is a joy and pleasure to work with. My husband and I aren't comfortable in front of the camera and were worried that poses would feel awkward, YET, Rabecca has such an incredible kind and soothing nature that she made everything easy and fun. HIGHLY recommend Rabecca to anyone looking for photography for their special occasions. I'll be hiring her for family photos in the future!Rabecca Cruz Photography's reply:

Rebecca Sent on 01/11/2018Rabecca is a true artist. Her eye for capturing beauty is out of this world amazing. She is the type of person that you instantly feel comfortable around, which is important when she’s going to be documenting your most important day. She is without a doubt a true talent and maybe one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so glad I chose her to capture these precious moments for me.

She is so sweet and thoughtful and goes above and beyond to make your day perfect! She really knows how to capture the memories in the best way possible! Our wedding pictures were anything but beautiful.
Bad angles, horrible lighting, no sense of capturing a moment, and unprofessional responses from Rabecca.
We hired Rabecca and her husband to photograph our wedding at Opal Sands Resort Clearwater Beach FL in October of 2023. At 1st things seemed to be going well for our family photos/first looks/and ceremony.
As soon as our reception started we got the bait and switch. Her assistant (who she has since fired - I can only imagine why) was left alone to photograph our wedding. The entire reason we chose our wedding venue was for their stunning sunsets and this photographer FAILED. She took 4 photos of us during the sunset hour and used flash which were unusable and horrible. She didn't capture any of my other guests out on the balcony at the golden hour taking photos either. I attached the photos as proof (this site only allows 2 attachments but I wish I could attach more). The reception photos were no better than me or anyone using their cell phone. This photographer never bothered to get anyone dancing together to smile AT the camera, I have almost 0 photos from my cocktail hour.
Fast forward 13 weeks WAITING for my wedding photos. My husband reached out to Rabecca and she gave us a specific date that we would have our photos by (we wanted to send out our Thank Yous). The date came and went so 3 days after the date she gave us my husband reached out again only to be responded to with passive aggressive smugness that I have never witnessed from a business owner. In her response email she calls back that it was "3 days later" more than once as if that's acceptable. I would never recommend this company to anyone getting married in FL and I have since told my wedding planner company to avoid her at all costs. 0 stars! She may get to take wedding photos every week but we had one chance to get it right and Rabecca ruined it. We could not even compile 20 photos( 6 hours and they only took 495 photos BTW) to make a small photo album of our wedding because the quality of photos were so horrible. I feel as though she never even looked at what she sent us - for her to stand behind this work is disgusting to me. I will be posting more of her horrible work on her FB - I'm sure she will delete all evidence.
Left us feeling as though our money wasn't green and heart broken that our special day could not be captured by her.

I’m honestly reeling from this review as are my husband, and my associate shooter.
I am so sorry you felt this way and that you feel as though your gallery doesn’t represent my work, because it is absolutely a proper representation of my work. I truly loved your photos and thought you had a beautiful day. When I delivered the photos, you never said anything negative about them and instead only asked me for the video clips we took...which I gave you, so this review totally caught me off guard.
Before booking any photographer and signing a contract, I always suggest taking a look at their work to see if you even like their style. If you took any time at all to view my galleries or any of my work you would have seen it matches perfectly with my style of photography. After speaking with your wedding planner, it is very clear you only booked us after she sent you a couple of choices based on your budget which had a strict limit. You did not find us yourself nor did you fall in love with our style of photography only to be disappointed. It was all based on who was in your budget. I actually gave a very good discount to make sure I stayed inside of that budget limit for you. As far as photos go in general you told us from the second we arrived that you were not comfortable with photos or even smiling at all and I reassured you I would do my best to make you comfortable which I tried the entire day to do.
As far as the turn around time goes, I would like to point out per my contract my turn around time is 12-14 weeks (and it does also state that time will vary based on busy season). Your gallery was only 3 days late....that's actually really good for busy season which is why I did mention that in my email to you which you say was passive aggressive.
You started your review with "we hired Rabecca and her husband" but that is untrue...you were giving the option but did not want to pay for a second shooter. I however know that venue and have shot many weddings there, so I know it does help to have one. I brought along not one, but two to help out for your special day. Both of which I paid for out of my own pocket, just because I truly want your day to go smoothly.
My assistant, whom you referenced “being fired” only ran my Social Media and Emails and does not attend weddings as part of my shooting team, I am not sure why you think she took photos for you on your wedding day or even added her to your review other than the fact that I mentioned my emails being backed up while I was in the process of finding a new assistant? She was not fired, but was mutually let go to pursue her own photography career, and not only is she one of my past brides but we are great friends.
My team of partners/ associates /second shooters (on your day this was Alex and Anna) attend almost every single wedding with me and have done so for years now, and hopefully always will god willing. They are both trusted professionals and absolutely wonderful. Per our contract, we often have one of our team members stay at the end of the reception for the last two to three hours to finish up the dancing photos. Just in case you didn't read this in your contract for any reason I made sure to go over it when I arrived to be sure you were ok with it and you said you were, so I don't see how you can say you " got the bait and switch".
Never once was Ana asked to get posed photos of all of your guests looking and smiling at the camera while they were dancing. Reception photos are candid images of your guests dancing and having fun and that is exactly what was captured and delivered to you. Anna said when she suggested going out for Sunset photos neither of you wanted to go all the way down to the beach for the final minutes of Sunset and only agreed the balcony would be fine as long as she was fast. The sun was beyond the horizon at that point, so a flash was 100% the right call and I would have done it the exact same way as would any professional photographer. If I had known the only reason you chose your venue was to have sunset photos as you stated in your review, we would have absolutely rearranged your timeline to have more time for photos during that golden hour but that was never voiced to me prior, or during your day. But that is a moot point as you told us you didn't want to go back down for anymore photos and even cut your bride and groom photos in half stating you didn’t need or want anymore.
As for the reference to taking no cocktail hour photos...we do not typically photograph guests during cocktail hour as our attention is on YOU for your bride and groom portraits. You did't want or pay for a second shooter so you could not have planned on us doing that at the same time as your photos. Again, having photos of guests during cocktail hour was never voiced to anyone on our team nor your wedding planner. We did however make the time to send a second shooter to get beautiful shots of all the details inside your reception area because I knew I would not personally have the time, another reason I hired a second shooter for you.
Included in your packaged was 350 Edited Images, please refer back to the contract you signed as this is on the front page. I however delivered 495 edited images of your day. That is not the amount of total photos taken on your actual wedding day, it is the amount I personally hand picked and edited. Again, please read your contract. I hand edited and over delivered HIGH RESOLUTION files of your beautiful day. These are by no means cell phone quality as you stated and I will try to attach the full gallery link for anyone who would like to review them. In order to see the full quality of the photos they need to be downloaded and saved to a desktop computer. Taking a screen shot or saving them to your mobile device compresses the file size and will make them seem pixelated or fuzzy. I have never in 10yrs had someone say something negative about the quality of my photos or call them cell phone quality.
I feel this review to be extremely disheartening and upsetting. I went out of way to make you feel comfortable on your wedding day. I helped you (the bride) as you got dressed, and I even went downstairs to the kitchen and asked the chef to make you a tray of food because you said you were shaky before the ceremony. I always cater to my couples and want them to feel special on their wedding day.
I feel as though maybe you are unhappy because you don’t like yourselves in the photos, as you also voiced multiple times during the day, that you “don't like taking pictures”. You loved the preview and you seemed satisfied when your gallery was delivered and even reached out asking for all of the video cell phone coverage that we also took during your day. I very kindly sent over what I had, and you thanked me for everything. This is the last time I heard from you about anything until seeing this review. I truly wish that you had written me directly so we could have addressed any of your concerns. Because to blindside me like this is just so disappointing and hurtful, especially calling my work disgusting. I spoke to your planner and confirmed you have never said anything negative to her about us or said we should be avoided at all cost as you stated in your review. I was never passive aggressive to you and am sorry you felt that I was. Anyone who knows me knows I am a people pleaser to a fault so that alone was a shock to hear. Your review makes it sound like you actually cared about capturing your wedding day in photos but to my entire team you made it seem as if you didn’t feel that way. You were not willing to give us the time we needed to take your bride and groom portraits the way we wanted to and were not willing to go back out for sunset photos on the beach.
Overall I was lied about more than once in your review which makes me very sad. I am very sorry you are not happy and truly wish this was not the case, but I am unsure of what I can do at this point to change it. I wish you the very best in your marriage and hope that in time you come to see that we made the most of what we were given of your time.
