All I can say is wow! We hired Russell to play for our wedding ceremony and it was truly magical. We got married at a family home by the beach, and wanted to balance a formal affair with it feeling intimate, summery, and lighthearted. The fingerstyle guitar turned out to be the perfect choice to fit that vibe and it was like nothing I'd ever heard before at another wedding. We knew RD would be fantastic after hearing some of his samples, but he blew our expectations out of the water. The songs during the ceremony were perfect (they had us crying before we even started down the aisle) and the cocktail hour music was just what we were looking for. We received so many compliments from our guests about his performance, too. The three songs that we wanted played during the ceremony (the wedding party processional, the bride’s entrance, and recessional) weren’t on RD’s initial list of songs, but he created a custom arrangement for them and absolutely nailed what we were looking for.

RD was amazing!
My wife is a musician, and had many musical people at our wedding. We received numerous compliments on the performance, and it truly was one of the highlights of the day. His playing was excellent, adding an amazing undertone to the vibe of our event. RD was even able to learn completely new music at our request, which in my opinion is above and beyond expectation.
Communication was timely, and easy to understand. I would highly recommend RD for any wedding. -

We (and our ears!) had the pleasure of having R.D. King as the musician for the ceremony and cocktail hour portions of our wedding this October. Not only is he wildly skilled at his craft, but he was also very responsive, kind, genuine, and easy to work with. He has a HUGE repertoire of songs, and will even learn new ones for clients as requested. He made the process easy and day-of was so good that everyone noticed, but also stayed enough in the background in order to set the ambiance for the moment. We picked a couple of songs, but otherwise asked him to just do his thing and he perfectly mirrored the vibe we had been going for. Hire him! :) -

We had the absolute pleasure of having R.D. King as our guitarist for both our ceremony and cocktail hour, and he was incredible from start to finish. Leading up to the wedding, he was so easy to work with—flexible, professional, and thoughtful. He asked all the right questions and made sure we felt completely at ease and excited about the music choices for our day. In hindsight, what we thought would be a “nice-to-have” quickly became a must-have. The ambience he created was magical, and we received SO many compliments from guests. His talent speaks for itself, but it was also his calm, kind, and professional presence that really stood out. If you’re on the fence about live music for your wedding—trust me—book R.D. King. You’ll be so glad you did! -

R.D played at our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks and was truly amazing! Once my fiancé and I found him, we knew we immediately had to book him, and we couldn't be happier that we did. Many of our guests came up to us throughout the evening to tell us how incredible he was. R.D. was extremely kind and easy to work with (I wasn’t the most responsive to his emails, and he still came completely prepared to our event), has a huge list of songs he plays (and will learn new songs as well!), and is an amazingly talented musician. Hiring Russell as our ceremony/cocktail hour musician was one of the best decisions we made! He is extremely talented and created three beautiful custom arrangements for our ceremony. He also set up sound for our officiant, which was very helpful. Communication in the lead up to the wedding was also seamless.

Amazing guitarist that made our wedding so special!
R.D King is only extremely talented and beautifully played “In My Life” and “Here Comes the Sun” for our wedding processional upon our request, but he’s also such a friendly person and very communicative! He also played acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour which added such a nice touch to our day. We highly recommend him for anyone looking to add some special live music to their wedding day!!R.D. R.D. King was fast to respond, easy to plan with and very friendly. His music was the perfect background for a beach welcome party the night before a wedding and set the ideal vibe. His covers are awesome but his originals are even better. Multiple guests were bummed not to see him back on the beach the following day as the bride walked down the aisle. He even allowed for a last minute pivot, providing a mic and the music for our resident family wedding singer to serenade our first dance together. RD King was a wonderful addition to our wedding celebration party! He was a dream to work with in preparing for the event: fast at responding to emails and helpful in providing guidance. As part of the planning, he sends you his repertoire of a huge number of songs in many genres to indicate your preferences.
The day of the event, he was on time and dressed nicely.
But of course the best part was the music! He is so talented, and everyone enjoyed his playing. He took only a short break over the four hours he was there. He has unbelievable stamina, and really enjoys performing and bringing pleasure to the audience.

Amazing!! We loved his music and the touch it gave our wedding!
We booked Russell for our wedding. He played for when guests arrived, the ceremony and cocktail hour. He was AMAZING! Everyone loved it. It added such an elegant and impressive touch to our special day. He is SO TALENTED!!!!
