It was Aleksei and Lera's first time doing a indian wedding and they nailed it. After talking with both of them on the phone, I didn't have any doubt they'd be able to deliver! Super friendly people and easy to work with. Great job guys! we watch our wedding highlight at least once a month haha and love sharing it with everyone! -

We hired Aleksei for our wedding back in Feb. We really like how the video turned out! Aleksei made our video based on our preference to make the video feel like "us" instead of a very generic wedding video. Aleksei is a very hard working videographer, he was at the venue even before we got there to be ready and took lots of additional shots which is beyond our expectations. -

Aleksei and Lera did a terrific job! We asked them to make a video that was fun and upbeat and not overly sentimental, and in the end they really hit the right balance. Aleksei did a good job of being unobtrusive with his camera at the event while also getting lots of great close-up shots of everyone, and the edited clip+doc are beautiful. We're really glad to be able to re-live the day (over and over!) with friends and family now that time has passed. Thank you! -

Aleksei and Lera of Quietrock did the photography and videography for our August 2020 wedding. (Pro tip: simplify your life by hiring one vendor to do both!) Our COVID-era wedding was full of curveballs, from losing our original venue one month before the wedding to discovering on the day of that the wi-fi at our new venue was almost nonexistent. In the midst of all this, Aleksei and Lera were so professional, kind, and flexible as we worked to re-plan everything on a tight schedule. We asked them to stay masked and distanced, and they did so while using creative lens work to still get great up-close shots. They used their professional videography equipment to livestream the wedding for our out-of-town friends and family. They even generously restructured their (already affordable) pricing when we decided to eliminate our reception and just have a wedding ceremony.
And let me just say that our wedding photos and video are BEAUTIFUL. Other married friends have told us ours are some of the most beautiful, artistic wedding pictures they’ve ever seen, and the video still makes me cry (with happiness) when I watch it. Even though my husband and I aren’t super comfortable in front of a camera, Aleksei and Lera captured the natural, unstaged, happiest moments of our day as it unfolded, even in the midst of so much COVID stress and so many plan changes. A lot of wedding videos look super generic and sappy, but ours feels unique and true to who we are as people. Plus, we got our photos back within just a few weeks of the wedding in an easy-to-access online gallery we could share with friends and family. The video took a little longer (2-3 months) plus extra time for the back-and-forth process of editing, but it was totally worth it.
In the spirit of transparency, it’s worth sharing a few of our challenges as well. We decided to pivot from 2-photographer, 2-videographer package to having 1 photographer, 1 videographer, and a livestreamer. With Aleksei and Lera on the video/livestream, an assistant ended up doing most of the pictures of the actual wedding ceremony, and unfortunately she was less professional (hence the 4 stars in this category—e.g. she wore high-visibility white, crossed in front of the livestream camera, and somehow managed to not shoot any images of the bride walking down the aisle). So it might be good to discuss who from the team will be filling each of the roles on your wedding day. However, Aleksei and Lera were super accommodating afterwards and even pulled still shots from the wedding video so that we could have pictures of me walking down the aisle. Day-of time management was also a bit of a problem--getting-ready pictures ended up taking longer than they should have, so we were running behind even before the ceremony started. However, we were also missing our day-of coordinator due to travel regulations, so the Quietrock team didn’t have that outside accountability to keep on schedule. And again, they demonstrated quick thinking and flexibility, efficiently using the last 10 minutes of golden-hour time to snap some of our favorite pictures of the day.
While there were a few snags, I truly don’t think we could have found a more professional, friendly, artistic photography/videography team to capture our wedding day. The hiccups are becoming laughs as time goes by, and at the end of the day we have gorgeous wedding pictures and video that will always help us remember what it was like to get married in the insane year 2020. Whether for future event or family photos, I would definitely hire Quietrock again!
