Working with Queen City Ensemble was fantastic! They were wonderful to partner with when planning ceremony music, and they added the perfect amount of elegance to our simple, whimsical, wedding, where we wanted love to be the focus. I cannot recommend them enough!

Wow factor of the ceremony!

Our guests were absolutely blown away when they heard Queen City Ensemble start playing during our wedding ceremony. We are about a month past our wedding day and we are still receiving compliments about how beautiful the trio sounded! They were responsive, flexible to my needs, on-time, professional and most importantly played the most beautiful music. Do not hesitate with booking this group, you will not regret it!

The Queen City Ensemble did not miss a beat. From the time we engaged them to their ending note, they were perfect. Not only were they timely, responsive and affordable but the music was a perfect backdrop to cocktail hour and dinner. Highly recommend!!

Professional group of talented musicians!

QCE was wonderful to work from since day 1. They provided an extensive list of songs to choose from which allowed us to decide on every piece played for the prelude, ceremony and postlude. Our guests loved their sound and the quality it added to our beautiful wedding. They were responsive during all communication and timely as our wedding service began.

Fabulous to work with

Queen City Ensemble was so easy to work with and provided excellent music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. I very much appreciated all the guidance they gave on what songs worked best for what part of the ceremony. They also know all types of music, traditional and contemporary. I also loved how professional they were. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent Strings Ensemble

I highly recommend the Queen City Ensemble for your wedding or event! They are extremely professional and communicative. We had to move our wedding due to COVID-19 and they were so accommodating with our new date. They also play beautiful music and had a great selection to choose from.

Wonderful Wedding Musicians

Queen City Ensemble played for our daughter's wedding celebration in March 2021 and did a beautiful job. They were easy to work with, wonderful communicators, and most of all, provided beautiful music for our celebration. We had an out of town vocal soloist, and they had clear communication with him before the event, and everything worked well in their rehearsing prior to the wedding. Queen City Ensemble has my highest recommendation.

Perfect Ensemble for your wedding day

I cannot thank or recommend Queen City Ensemble enough. Their repertoire list has so many options for both classical and contemporary selections. They made our wedding day so special with music we love and enjoy. They were easy to work with, great at communication, and a perfect vendor on the wedding day. The ladies from Queen City Ensemble were fantastic! Jenny, Becky, and Jean were incredible to work with. It was our only daughter's wedding and Queen City Ensemble set a great mood for the entire evening! Our guests were overwhelmed by the beauty of the music and the very professional presentation. I have always known that I wanted string musicians for our wedding and this was one of the first vendors that I booked. From the first contact they were extremely responsive and answered any questions that I had along the way. The music on our wedding day was beautiful and everything that I have always dreamed of. Highly recommend!!

HIGHLY recommend! Extremely organized, responsive, professional, and talented. They helped sort out all of the details prior to our wedding day so there were no questions or chaos the day of. Extremely professional and played my requests during processional. I truly enjoyed working with them and our wedding ceremony would not have been the same without them. The strings made the ceremony more intimate and classy instead of having a DJ or other background music. Highly recommend and would book them all over again!

I've dreamed of walking down the isle to strings since I was a little girl - and Queen City Trio brought everything I envisioned to life! Wedding at the Peninsula Club

The QCE made our wedding a very special and beautiful occasion. Their music set the tone with some classical prices at the reception followed by traditional music during the ceremony and concluded at the end of cocktail hour. They accommodated all our wishes for the music selection. Very nice indeed.

Jenny and the Queen City Ensemble team were incredibly easy to work with, from planning to the event itself. We love Star Wars and Game of Thrones -- and they played music for us from both! They went above and beyond for us and we couldn't have been happier.

On top of their flexibility and professionalism, they are also incredibly talented. Guests made a point to tell us after how beautiful our ceremony music was. We would book them again in a heartbeat!

Queen City Ensemble was a major part of my wedding ceremony. I had specific requests since I wanted a subtle Disney theme and music was a part of that. Working with Jenny and the team to pick out the perfect songs- both from classics and newer movies was easy and fun. They were so flexible and even worked with me for the compositions that they didn't have. It was great having a group that was so responsive and organized with all the details- it made the wedding day worry free (at least for ceremony music). I can't say thank you enough to this great group!

I loved getting to work with Queen City Ensemble for our wedding! They were great at communicating before the event and offered to help with music selections if we needed! They were extremely flexible, and I changed a couple things within a week of the wedding and of course it was flawless! I sadly only got to enjoy them for the ceremony, but they sounded fantastic! We got many compliments from guests on how wonderful they were and that their music selections before the ceremony and during cocktail hour were great!

I loved working with QC Ensemble. The day of my wedding was the coldest day in Charlotte that winter and QC Ensemble was so flexible in working with my planner and I. There was a contractual stipulation regarding the temperature the trio could play given their fragile instruments . They were proactive in reaching out to my planner and I and extremely accommodating in ensuring my wedding was a success. Overall, a very positive experience, and highly recommended!!!

Planning a wedding in North Carolina from Washington DC was pretty difficult. When my husband and I decided we wanted a string trio for our wedding ceremony we looked online and ran across Queen City Ensemble. Listening to their music from their website we knew we wanted them. They were quick to return emails and sounded absolutely amazing on wedding day. They offer an extensive list of music to choose from, including current pop songs, which we chose to use for our processional and recessional. I was lucky to be able to hear the processional music from my bridal suite which helped calm me down before the big walk down the aisle. I would recommend QCE to anyone looking to add that classy touch to their wedding!

I booked Queen City Ensemble to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour at Duke Mansion and they were absolutely amazing! Unexpectedly, our ceremony had to be moved indoors about 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time and they were so flexible and able to quickly re-set up indoors. They sent us a list of 'most requested songs' for each part of the ceremony which was a huge help. They also offer a mix of classical and contemporary music which was perfect for our cocktail hour.

If you're looking for beautiful live music at your wedding, then you should look no further than Queen City Ensemble! They were super accomodating and their repertoire was extensive. They knew just the right moments to play at during the ceremony without needing to rehearse. They're the best!

Take the music for your wedding or event seriously! Listen to chamber ensembles performing the many beautiful options QCE offers that aren't the standard wedding fare. QCE are such talented professionals: you cannot go wrong with anything they perform. They were a joy to work with, offered helpful suggestions, were very flexible regarding start/completion times, and were excellent in "reading" the crowd in order to gauge the volume/pacing of the music. Perfection!

Great musicians on the front end business wise and performance wise on wedding day. Will definitely use them again. As a popular wedding planner in the Carolinas, I can't afford to hire subpar vendors and it's nice to have Queen City available to use!

I worked with Jenny Jones primarily, and she was very responsive to my emails and available to answer any questions I had during the planning process. They have a wide array of songs they can play, and my fiance and I had no trouble finding several songs we felt met our needs. We chose classical songs for our processional, and more contemporary songs for our prelude/recessional music.

The musicians were dressed very professionally and arrived on time. They were absolutely flawless and played beautifully. I personally hadn't been to a wedding with a string trio before, and I felt they added a very classy touch to our wedding. We were very happy with our decision to hire them as our ceremony musicians.

I would highly recommend Queen City Ensemble for your ceremony music. They did an exceptional job!

The ensemble was great to work with. Many ensembles do not attend wedding rehearsals and it's sometimes a challenge with cues, but with Queen City Ensemble they were able to immediately jump in without even attending the rehearsal and the musical transitions were very smooth.

They are extremely organized during the planning process and work closely with us and the bride to make sure everyone is on the same page with the music selections. QCE was so great to work with from start to finish! They were always prompt when returning emails and made the process of choosing ceremony music very simple. Queen City Ensemble was amazing! they were very professional and eager to accommodate all of our requests. They worked with our soloist without any issues and on the day of the wedding everything was amazing. It made our wedding very elegant and classy and it was just perfect!

They were great to work with! They were very flexible and professional. They were able to give great suggestions when I was stuck on which songs to choose, and their timing was perfect throughout our ceremony. I had a special request to play "Tale as old as Time" from Beauty and the Beast, and they did it no problem! They responded quickly to my inquiries. I would highly recommend them!

I have had the pleasure of working with the ladies of Queen City Ensemble on multiple occasions. Each time, they have been prompt, professional, easy to get in touch with, and, of course, talented! As a wedding planner, I cannot stress enough to brides how important it is to do your research when hiring vendors on your own. Queen City Ensemble String Trio provided the music for my daughter's wedding during the pre-ceremony and ceremony. These three beautiful musicians turned the venue into pure magic with their instruments. They brought glamour and romance into the air and each selection chosen was perfection. From the first contact to the day of the wedding, my Queen City Ensemble Team was dedicated to insuring that our every need would be taken care of. They are professional, promptly responded to every inquiry and took care of every request with ease. I never had an ounce of concern and on the day of the wedding, they were outstanding in every way. Guests were delighted with the beautiful music. Presentation is everything when hosting an elegant wedding. The ladies were lovely - dressed immaculately and groomed - something that is difficult to ask, but so important and appreciated when realized! Queen City Ensemble performed at our recent wedding and sounded glorious! Becky was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional in each of our communications. I selected several classical pieces that are not "typical" wedding music, and Queen City Ensemble was pleased to accommodate each request. The guests were very impressed with our orchestra as well. I am a pianist and have discerning taste in music.....they were exceptional. If you are reading this, just book them and concern yourself with the many other tasks you will have to complete in planning your special day!

Queen City Ensemble was AMAZING! Even though I (the bride) was stuck hiding in the back of our venue waiting for the ceremony to start, and didn't officially get to meet all the members, all my interactions and communications with them were perfect. I mainly communicated via email with Janet, and everything went smoothly with all our discussions. We saw them play at The Point Lake and Golf Club Wedding Show (now Trump National Golf Course) and liked them. We looked around at some other strings, and compared prices. Queen City definitely is affordable compared to some other string groups out there, and after seeing them play and seeing the price, we were set! It was definitely a perfect decision! Not only do they have an amazing classical repertoire to choose from for song selections, they had an amazing contemporary selection. This is something to consider when looking for ceremony musicians because they can charge you extra (ALOT extra) if you want a special song. I really wanted the Feather Theme from Forrest Gump for our sand ceremony to be played... and guess waht, they have it on their list! On top of that, they let me select all the songs for the prelude before the ceremony, and got to hear some other favorites - Candle on the Water from Pete's Dragon and God Only Knows - The Beach Boys (again, all in their repertoire!) Ask to see their song list .... it is really extensive!!! It is great to have more options at an affordable price as well as deal with professional vendors who are polite, on time, and do exactly what you had paid them to do. Thank you ladies for making our wedding day perfect. I would highly recommend this group to anyone in need of a strings for their ceremony!!!!

Queen City Ensemble did my ceremony music! They did a fantastic job! The sound they produced was flawless and being a former violinist I am a hard judge! It was hard to imagine they were actually playing the music and it wasn't a recording it was so good! My flower girls was down to the sleeping beauty waltz and I just wanted to use a certain piece of the song only and they were more then accomodating! I would highly recommend them to add that extra classy touch to any wedding!

The Queen City Ensemble performed at my daughter's wedding last weekend. Every single guest commented on the beautiful music provided by them, the church organist, and the church soloist. What is really amazing is that they basically worked out the entire program in the 30 minutes prior to the ceremony with the music selections we had provided. They are true professionals and provided a beautiful setting on this very special day.

This trio provided great customer service before my wedding and beautiful music the day of the ceremony. They assign one musician to you to personally assist with music selection and for any questions. Overall a great trio to use and I would definitely use them again!
