Exceptional Wedding Music

Quartet442 was absolutely fantastic for our wedding. The musicianship and overall musical quality were excellent, and they brought such a beautiful, elegant feeling to our ceremony and cocktail hour.

They were incredibly professional, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating with our custom music requests, which made the whole process feel effortless. The music added so much to the atmosphere and truly helped make our wedding feel extra special.

We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for live music for a wedding or special event, and honestly, we’d look for an excuse to hire them again.

An amazing experience!

I am so happy to have had Quartet442 play for our wedding ceremony! Elise was wonderful to work with. She made sure to coordinate with me and my wedding coordinator in order to ensure the day went smoothly. The quartet’s music selection is impressively broad, spanning from timeless classics to modern pop and rock. Their performance was beautiful, and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. Highly recommend!

Great quartet!

Quartet442 was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! They played at our wedding in Fall 2024. Elise was easy to communicate with and always responsive to our questions.

On the day of, the group played beautifully during both our ceremony and part of cocktail hour. Their music selection was great, and they had a mix of classical and modern which was what we were looking for. The group was timely and we had no issues. I only wish I could have enjoyed their playing more, a bit busy getting married I suppose. I highly recommend them to any couple!

Highly recommend Quartet442

I simply can’t recommend Quartet422 enough. Elise, was easy to work with guiding us through their extensive list of classic and pop music. They were even able to adapt the hip hop song ‘Lose Yourself’ by Eminem - groom’s request for his entrance. It was a guest favorite! We received many compliments for the quartet with one guest requesting them for her wedding.

Perfect Soundtrack to a Perfect Day!

We had Quartet 442 play at our wedding and could not have been happier! Elise was great to work with. Very good communication and thorough, Elise made sure every detail was perfectly planned. We had several specific requests for various aspects of the wedding and they made sure everything happened beautifully. So many guests commented on how great they were. I highly recommend having Quartet 442 give your wedding (or event) a unique and memorable touch!

We highly recommend Quartet442!

I was recommended Quartet442 by my partial wedding planner and I am so happy we decided to go with them. Elise was really approachable and we discussed the itinerary of our wedding day before our wedding. It was nice as they have a vast selection of songs - from classical to current song choices. Our wedding day was amazing. Our guests loved the string quartet and it sounded much more beautiful when you hear the quartet in person! We would highly recommend working with Quartet442! You won't regret it and it will be memories that will last you a lifetime.

Couldn’t have asked for better

Quartet442 was absolutely wonderful to work with. Elise was responsive and very professional throughout the whole experience. We had them play for out brunch wedding for both ceremony and reception and multiple attendees stopped us to say how much they liked the music. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for strings

Set the tone for the whole event.

They were prompt and professional. Elise was great to communicate with in email and on the phone! The music was beautiful during the ceremony and cocktail hour. I would HIGHLY recommend this quartet! It takes the event to the next level.

Beautiful Quartet!

Elise and company were so professional and kind. They have many options for your ceremony music to create an atmosphere that is welcoming and made for your style of wedding. It was easy to work with them and they are very timely with answering questions. I highly recommend using them for any event you need beautiful music for!

Wow!! Nothing but great things to say! The quartet arrived early and started playing early due to guests arrival time. Everyone loved the live music and how amazing they sounded!! In all seriousness, my guests raved about the music and how great it was opposed to a recording or a single musician. Elise, was great to work with and made sure every detail was perfect. Highly would recommend for anyone looking for a string quartet!!

Elise and the rest of her quartet made our day so special. We are both big classical music fans and amateur classical music musicians (the bride having played in a few quartet weddings herself) so were very picky about who would be playing and what they would play. We gave them some very challenging selections , which they played absolutely beautifully, quite literally bringing people to tears. (One of our guests told me that specifically....)

I also commissioned them to arrange a somewhat obscure indie rock song for our recessional--the original arrangement of which includes some strange instrumentation to wrestle with, including a horn section and a saw.... Not only did they do an absolutely perfect job of it, but they did so in a way that captured the uplifting mood that we wanted for our recessional, which was not an easy task!

Throughout the whole process, Elise was communicative, engaged, and enthusiastic and was able to give us expert guidance in our selections and on timing.

These guys are all incredibly talented and unbelievably reasonably priced and they also are capable of arranging just about anything in a way that can transform the entire day.

We were impressed and are so grateful.

Quartet442 did a great job at our wedding ceremony. They were the perfect addition and made the ceremony extra special. We knew we didn't think we'd get the same effect with a DJ as we would with the quartet. We were right! Everyone was very impressed and we were pleased. Highly recommended!

Elyse and quartet442 played for our Aug. 2017 wedding ceremony. They were incredible and definitely set the mood and ambiance we were looking to achieve. Our wedding felt romantic and intimate thanks to the custom playlist that Elyse helped us create. We found communication to be easy, the cost to be more than reasonable and all the quartet members to be professional and talented.

We would use quartet442 again for our entertainment needs in the future.

As a bride who planned the wedding from across the state - quartet442 was so easy to work with and plan our ceremony and cocktail hour. There were no issues at all - they set up quickly, played beautifully, and were so professional. We had quite a few musical guests and heard great comments from everyone. We hired quartet442 to play for my son's wedding this past September, and they were top-notch all the way!

My wife and I got married in October of 2017. We reached out to quartet442 for our ceremony music, as I have had the pleasure of listening to them on a few different occasions. Elise was very responsive getting in touch with me just a few short hours after my email. About a month before the wedding, Elise, my wife, and I were able to sit down and get the details nailed out. When the day came they were amazing! On time, well dressed, and sounded amazing. I highly recommend Quartet442 for any of your music needs! You will not be disappointed!

Quartet 442 was an awesome addition to my son's wedding! They played before the ceremony, for the ceremony, and for 2 hours during the cocktail hour. I can't tell you how many compliments I got about their music. You would think a string quartet would only play classical music but they have a large variety of song choices that are popular today. Elise was very easy to work with and supplied a list of several music choices for the bride and groom to choose from. They arrived on time and professionally dressed. They really were one of my favorite parts of the whole day and you cannot go wrong by hiring them for your special day either!

I literally could not have been happier with what Elise and her fellow musicians did for us. We had multiple special song requests and they accommodated everything we asked for perfectly. They played prior to the ceremony, our entrance and exit music, during cocktail hour, and a special entrance into the reception. Everything went off without a hitch - in fact, I didn't even speak to them on the day of the wedding because it was so seamless, it just went like clockwork. They also traveled to Buffalo from Rochester for the wedding, which was great and much appreciated. I would 100% recommend their services, you will not be disappointed!

Quartet 442 made our wedding ceremony sound amazing! When I approached them with song requests, they not only agreed, but they also made their own arrangements! Quartet 442 were amazing musicians to work with! I knew I always wanted violins playing at my wedding ceremony and they provided current - up to date selections that sounded incredible ! They were easy to contact and always got back to us in a very timely manner. I even had guests asking me for their contact information after the ceremony !

Elise was really responsive and easy to communicate with. The process of booking to performance was seamless. And everyone enjoyed the music - it was a nice touch to have them play classical music in the background. They also play modern cover songs which is fun. Clearly, all of them are skilled musicians too - something important for my very musical family!! I recommend this quartet for your event or wedding in the Finger Lakes area!

If you're looking for a special addition to your ceremony or reception - consider quartet442. Not only is Elise SUPER easy to work with - but their music is amazing and their talent is top notch. When it came time for me to pick the vendors for my wedding - it was critical to me that I trusted each of them. I needed to feel confident that they would show up on time, assist me in the process (suggestions on music selection, payment time line, etc) and knock it out of the park. They delivered in all areas. I would choose them all over again!

My husband and I recently got married in an outside venue. We knew that we wanted a string quartet for our ceremony. I came to wedding wire to look for local musicians and came across Quartet442. Their website was great! I loved being able to hear them play right on the site. I emailed Elise and received a prompt response. Throughout the process Elise was incredible, she helped us pick our music and was open to music outside of their original repertoire. The day of, the music was everything I had hoped for and more. Elise and Quartet442 truly exceeded our expectations. The music was beautiful and emotional. I will always remember walking down the aisle to their rendition of canon in d with my father and I thank them for that memory.

My husband and I highly recommend Quartet 442. We had them play throughout the ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful! Being the bride, I didn't get to hear every song, but my husband and guests assured me that they sounded lovely. I hired Quartet 442 to provide music for my wedding ceremony. Elise was a pleasure to work with in planning the event! Very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions regarding options and suggestions. The music played at the ceremony was beautiful and everything I hoped it would be. All members were pleasant, dressed well and played exceptionally. Also very reasonably priced (including travel as I was located approximately 1.5 hours from Rochester). This quartet is amazing, both my husband and I were very pleased with their service and level of professionalism. We were having very poor experience with finding musicians who were dedicated to the job and took it seriously, and Quartet 442 picked us up when we were just about to give up determined to turn the experience around for us. They were so polite, and sweet, and even booked us a pianist for the piece we wanted to use and personalized the song for us, and didn't just limit us to what they knew. They were willing to learn any song for us, even though they picked us up at the last minute, and I couldn't appreciate that more. We received tons of compliments on their music and I would highly recommend them to any couple or for any function thinking of using live music. I wish we could've found them sooner!

My husband & I wanted to have an intimate touch to our ceremony with a string quartet. My sister-in-law works for the Highlands at Pittsford, and had heard their group, loved it & recommended this group to us. The first time I reached out to the group, I had such a warm feeling from the girls! Elise, one of the members, contacted me back right away & was extremely open to hearing what we wanted- she recommended some songs that were popular, by my request, & wanted to work with me to be sure we were on the same page for the day. She was extremely timely in getting back to me via E-mail & by phone. Their pricing was very reasonable & worth every penny! :) I would recommend this group to anyone to use for a special event. This group is extremely talented & I wish them great success in their future!

Let's start with this - these are Julliard and Eastman Conservatory trained artists - WOW! As importantly, Elise and team were awesome!
