My husband and I have just had the hardest time picking only 40 pictures for our wedding album. I would choose all of them if I could. Melodye was such a great person to work with and we enjoyed every minute of it. Her videographer also did a fantastic job. We have had so many compliments on the video and photos!. I would highly recommend Purdy Art Company to anyone looking for a professional photographer. -

Melody has been apart of so many family moments for us since 2011, the most recent being my gender reveal this past weekend. She is such a light to be around and her work with her turnaround time never ceases to amaze me! She’s an amazing photographer who can become an amazing part of your family if you let her! We will be using her as long as she still loves to hold a camera in hand. -

Amazingly talented professional
Melodye was absolutely amazing! All the arrangements were coordinated from Florida and then the big day finally came. Melodye even made sure to schedule a Zoom call with us to get to know our story and how we met, to ensure the best photos possible. It's safe to say that everything went perfectly, and we couldn't be happier. If you’re looking for the best possible person to capture a special moment, look no further. Melodye truly captured the magic of the happiest day of my life with the most stunning photos! From the very beginning, she was incredibly sweet and attentive, staying connected with us every step of the way leading up to the wedding. I really appreciated how she took the time to explain her process and style — it made us feel so comfortable, and the results were absolutely breathtaking. Bonus points for going the extra mile with a Zoom call to get to know us personally, which was so helpful since we were are from out of state. If you're looking for a photographer who is not only talented but also thoughtful and personable, I can't recommend Melodye enough! -

Amazing Wedding Pictures
Melodye was absolutely amazing from our meet and greet via Zoom to the big day! She made our day even more special with her high energy and engagement. Perfect choice!
If there were an option for 10 stars, that would be my choice. My husband and I live in Georgia and were not familiar with the area. Melodye went above and beyond with recommendations and helping with details while we were there. She truly tries to make the whole experience a memorable one. We asked for a mix of candid and posed shots in hopes of catching the emotions we felt as well. Melodye caught it all, the photos were exactly what we’d envisioned. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Melodye Purdy. -

Melodye is incredible. Having her capture our wedding day at Thorncrown was nothing short of amazing. She helped us plan out our day, picked me up for our first look and took us to 5-6 GORGEOUS spots around Eureka Springs. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera and makes walking around in a wedding dress in the middle of the road feel somehow normal.
So on a personal and knowledge level she is excellent. Now onto her work… SO SO SO EXCELLENT!!
She captured us. She captured our looks to each other, our grins and laughs. She doesn’t do a lot of posing and this translate to incredible, natural photos.
I cannot recommend her enough. Our photos are perfect and our day at perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. If you’re traveling to Thorncrown and are not intimately familiar with the area, she is a no brainer. If you are familiar with the area but want a fire photographer, look no further.
She was incredibly communicative and a joy to work with. The turn around on our photos and video was quick as well. -

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Melodye Purdy during our wedding ceremony. From the first contact to the last shot, Melodye was extremely professional and a delight to work with. A month before our wedding, she scheduled a video conference with us, just for the sake of knowing us and our story - this alone made a strong impression on both of us. We felt so blessed to have found her! She made our day even more fun and exquisite - her sense of humor, sensitivity, and talent were remarkable! She led us through key areas around Eureka Springs, and the pictures she took were breathtaking! I cannot recommend her enough. She is a gem, a one-of-a-kind photographer who combines professionalism, talent, with a generous, loving, and fun personality. Having her as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made, and made our experience even more memorable. -

Melodye Purdy and crew were everything you could ask for in a wedding photographer. We were planning our wedding from another state, and Melodye assisted in other areas such as suggestions for DJ, stylists and the like.
Melodye helped me figure out the order of events (who should be where, when!) She was professional, prompt and proved to be very personal, offering pearls of wisdom on marriage and family. We met several times by Zoom, and when we met in person, it was comfortable, as if we were old friends.
And then we saw the PHOTOS. Just breath taking. She captured every moment from buttoning the dress, to the sacred vows, to the shots at the reception! Her editing is just beautiful, soft and natural. We had a 4K video made to share, and it's a keepsake as well. Photos were available sooner than promised and she delivered far beyond our expectations. -

Trust her! Investing in Melodye was one of the best decisions that we made when planning our wedding. She did so much more than take photos. We are from out of state and she made many recommendations and gave advice that helped us plan our entire day. She is so kind and her energy was infectious even to our guests. There were times that she made it seem like she wasn’t even there so that we could just enjoy one another, while still being able to capture the moment for us in such a beautiful way. She also made everyone feel so comfortable in front of her lens. The Purdy Art Company experience is the one that you want for your wedding day. Not only is SHE exceptional, but we cannot sing enough praises about her work. Our images are absolutely incredible. Every photo seems so thoughtful and her attention to detail is evident. She turned our memories into works of ART that we can cherish for a lifetime. -

Ms. Purdy was so attentive and excited to be a part of our big day! She is personable, easy to talk and connect with, and her attention to detail is phenomenal. We weren't entirely sure what we wanted at first but she has such a warmth and genuine nature that interacting with her brought out the truest version of us as a couple. She made the experience effortless and easy for us. She understands that this is all about the connection that love brings and we can't imagine having done this with anyone else! -

Amazing photographer
Melodye and her assistant were so great to work with during our elopement in AR in August. They captured the most beautiful pictures and we even used them to live stream our wedding. She created a fb page for our wedding leading up to the event. I had no ride from the venue and since just the 2 of us she even swung by at the last minute and took me to the Thorncrown Chapel herself to keep our wishes of romantic first encounter at ceremony alive. She spent extra time getting just the right photos. We felt so at ease while taking the pictures they all came out so perfect that we love ALL of them! If you are looking for a photographer in the area, she is hands down the perfect one for your wedding!! -

Melodye was recommended to us by Beaver Lake Cabins, little did we know the experience we were about to have with her. On top of amazing photos from our ceremony, she also toured us around Eureka Springs to take the rest of the photos with one of a kind back drops. A true pro....
Working with Melodye was delightful and professional. She was thoughtful about the whole portfolio to capture our Moroccan themed reception - from the early 'just us' photos to the little things unfolding during our event to the finished product. Her photos were expressive and fun...but mostly she listened to what I wanted and delivered. Thank you, Mel...you did a beautiful job documenting our a once-in-a-lifetime party! -
