  I never was the kind of girl who fantasized about and planned her wedding before she was even engaged. That being said, there was one thing I knew would be part of my wedding day long before I even met my husband: yup, Punam Bean.
  
  One of the most fun, talented and easy to work with photographers out there - Punam seems to really enjoy what she does. Her ability to connect to her clients is sort of fascinating - no two wedding albums look the same because she realizes that no two couples or weddings are the same.
  
  From the engagement session that she flew across the country for (while pregnant, mind you) to the artistic and beautiful photos she took to capture our very favorite day - if you're looking for a humble, personable, extremely talented wedding photographer, look no further than Punam Bean.

  Love Punam, Love her work. She is such a wonderful, sweet, funny and down to earth woman who knows how to make you feel natural in front of the camera. She has a very special "eye" for THE shots and never fails to catch those special moments. We had engagement photos and our wedding day photographed by Punam and we are anxiously awaiting for our gallery :) I tell EVERYONE I know about Punam and her amazing work, I feel like everyone that meets her wants to be her best friend! Her rates are reasonable for the amount of work she does and she is willing to slightly alter packages to help you fit your budget (usually by removing the CD of images for purchase at a later date) she also provides a unique service of a photography "registry" that family members can contribute to help towards your photos/albums etc... I knew I wanted to book Punam from the first time I saw her photos, and I am soo blessed to have been able to work with her and look forward to booking her again for family sessions.

  Simply put, Punam rocks. Punam is down to earth, accomodating and professional; she is funny, warm, and lovable, and she really is just awesome to hang out and take pictures with. Even though at times she is quite the sneaky devil and gets in pictures of things you don't even realize at the time, you can feel her overwhelmingly positive and warm energy, wishing you well your entire wedding day. And that is MORE than you could possibly want in a photographer. It really, really doesn't hurt that she makes the most breathtakingly emotional and beautiful pictures I have ever seen.

  Punam was really a fantastic photographer - especially being so young. She documented my wedding beautifully and captured my husband and I really wonderfully. She included an engagement session as part of our package and created a gorgeous wedding slideshow. We also had a "Photo Booth" at our wedding which was a big hit with the guests. Congratulations to her on running her business well and treating her clients so well!

  Punam is an amazingly gifted woman. Her eye for detail creates the most stunning of images. She is absolute magic. I can't find any other way to describe someone whose passion for her work really comes through in her photos.
  
  Just before I go on to review Punam though, I think it will help if I can explain what we were aiming for with our photos. We lean towards images that are more artsy and suggestive. We weren't big fans of portraits or perfectly posed and coordinated shots. I think we wanted to look at our images and feel the emotion and memory of the day rather than feel the frustration of getting everyone together for that "one picture".
  
  I had found Punam via a wedding blog and found myself lost in her own blog viewing image after image of her work. That afternoon, I knew I had to beg on bended knees or do anything to get her to come to Hawaii to shoot our wedding. We (not just my husband and I, but my co-workers as well as friends) became huge fans. So needless to say, her arrival was much anticipated by us all.
  
  and...She did not disappoint. From the moment I met her, I felt comfortable being in front of her camera. She has a way about her that makes you feel at ease. She is good at directing you in order to get the shot that she wants. We thoroughly enjoyed being around her every moment.
  
  It was the best money spent. I'm sure she hears this enough but she is a beautiful soul..and a rock star of photography.
