We are so blessed to have found Puja as our wedding officiant! If you are looking for a meaningful ceremony that you, your partner, and guests will remember as a true highlight of your wedding day, you will be in good hands with Puja. I always thought of wedding ceremonies as a part of the day that would be difficult to make feel unique and reflective of our relationship. With Puja’s expertise in ceremonies, her spiritual background and wealth of knowledge, and her warm and eloquent nature, we crafted the ceremony of our dreams. Puja provides so many resources and counsel, and encourages both parties to invest time and thought to every piece of the ceremony. She assists with questions, drafts, and reviews your final ceremony so that you feel confident and excited on your wedding day. We received so many compliments that our ceremony was perfect for us from friends and family, and that Puja’s calming presence elevated our day. Puja came as a recommended officiant by our venue, Red Maple Vineyard. After speaking with her during our first consult we knew we’d found the person we wanted to conduct our ceremony. My wife and I are not religious people and quite frankly didn’t know exactly what we were looking for out of our ceremony. Puja asked us very pointed questions and was able to guide us with thought starters and a tremendous wealth of resources from numerous ceremony types for us to pick and choose from. We ended up with a completely customized ceremony that truly meaningful to us and our values. We had SO many of our guest come up to us, unprompted, and say how floored they were with our officiant, how she completely made them forget about everything else and help them be fully present for the ceremony and how poignant her words were and how they resonated wo much with them. We would strongly recommend Puja to anyone looking for an officiant, especially if you’re not quite sure what you want from your ceremony and could use a little guidance. -

Puja was absolutely the best officiant we could have asked for in regards to our non-traditional wedding with elements of Buddhism. We could not have had a more breath-taking wedding ceremony without her! -

We can’t recommend Puja enough. My husband and I both do not practice any specific religion but consider ourselves spiritual people. Puja was able to work with us to design and write the perfect ceremony to reflect our views on our partnership and vows for marriage. We still say our ceremony and the work creating it was our favorite part of getting married! -

Wonderful minister
After exploring a number of websites looking for a minister for our wedding, we couldn't have been happier when we met Puja. She was absolutely delightful. She provided us with as many sample weddings as we requested, and assisted us in writing the perfect ceremony that mirrored our beliefs, enabling us to express our feelings to our families, friends, and each other on our special day. Puja presented our ceremony in a caring and cheerful manner, enabling a nervous bride and groom to truly enjoy the day so that we could focus on the vows and promises that we were sharing. We will look back fondly on our wedding ceremony for the rest of our days, and are grateful to have chosen Puja to officiate at such an important milestone in our lives. -

Puja is incredibly composed, professional, and warm. She is accepting of all ways of thought and is so very helpful in the entire process of marrying the one that you love. She will help you plan your ceremony down to every detail, answer any question you may have, and help follow through with all of the official details necessary to complete the process. She made our day truly special, especially with such a intimate elopement ceremony. She even braved the cold weather with us at Mohonk Mountain House this winter and conducted a ceremony outside by the lake on the porch! She was a true adventurer and a companion in the beginning of our marriage. Thank you so much again Puja. -

We are enjoying life as a married couple now.
We had our intimate wedding ceremony in Mohonk Mountain House last Oct 13, 2019. She did great both in preparation and on an actual day!. She was extremely helpful and accommodating. We really appreciate her effort in the ceremony, making sure we had a good understanding of details. It was an honor to have her as part of our wedding.
We, highly recommend her to any future couples!

This was the second marriage for both of us. Every single aspect of this day had meaning...the venue (our beloved 38 acre family home), the Chapel my husband built for us to be married under (trees harvested here, locally milled raw beams from friends), our rings (Change You Can Wear) (his). Puja was The Perfect Fit. She Listened. She was so attentive, kept us on track when we were scattered and overwhelmed. She understood what we wanted and gave us the most beautiful options and ideas for our ceremony. Her calm demeanor, her guidance...was incredible. She understands people, she recognizes their hearts and what they need. Prior to meeting her (after reading reviews), and most CERTAINLY after meeting with Puja, there was never anyone else we imagined officiating our union. She is delightful and perfect and I am grateful and humbled to have had her be such an integral part of our day. -

I have delayed writing this review because I felt my words couldn't fully express my gratitude for Puja. She helped to make our August 2018 ceremony so meaningful and was just a pleasure to work with. Puja helped us create a ceremony that reflected our personal beliefs while being accessible and welcoming to all our guests. It was an honor to have her as part of our wedding. Many of our guests, on the day and since then, described our officiant as the most wonderful they had ever seen. I agree and am so glad we found Puja. -
Olesya Sent on 10/13/2018Rev. Puja Thomson was our co-officiant at our August wedding at Onteora Mountain House. She came to our rescue after we realized our online-ordained ULC minister would not be viewed as legal on her own. Though she and our officiant did not meet each other prior to the wedding day, they blended perfectly to deliver a beautiful, seamless ceremony. It actually made the ceremony more lively and exciting to have two strong, wonderful women share the ceremony script. We had a Skype meeting with Rev. Puja to get to know each other better. She made helpful suggestions to improve our self-written ceremony script and vows. She is an organized, lovely, spiritual person who has passion for what she does. We would recommend Rev. Puja for any couple seeking an incredible officiant for their wedding.

Laurie Sent on 09/26/2018Puja was the most amazing collector and organizer of all the different aspects of our wedding ceremony. We arrived at our meeting totally clueless and somewhat overwhelmed. She helped us understand tradition as well as personal choice. She gave us many options to choose from as well as being totally supportive of our ideas. The result was an amazing ceremony that was both official and very personal. I would give more than five stars if I could. Thank you Puja for an amazing event.

My husband and I were so glad to have her by our side throughout the planning process, at our rehearsal dinner, and during the day of our wedding. We were initially drawn to Puja because of her calming and grounding demeanor and her openness to working with us on our interfaith Jewish/Methodist ceremony. Her charming Scottish accent was a plus, as well! At the beginning, we had very general ideas of what we wanted from our ceremony. With Puja's guidance we were able to craft a truly unique and inclusive ceremony that incorporated elements from both of our families and faiths. The end result was a highly personal representation of the two of us as a couple – our values, families, and love for each other. Many of our guests commented on how moved they were by our ceremony, and how very "us" everything was. I really can't think of a higher compliment than that, and we have Puja to thank for helping us to achieve it!

Peggy Sent on 07/30/2018Puja was a pleasure to work with! The day of the ceremony was better than I expected... The ceremony was opened with a Tibetan bowl sounding which Puja performed beautifully(feedback was that guests & myself wanted it to go on longer.) The ceremony as she recited and her deliverance of the wording of the ceremony was articulated and pronounced very deliberately and with reverence, which added to the feeling that something very special was happening. Loved her as our officiant!! Thank you, Puja for helping to make our day special.

Everything went so fast, but we knew what an amazing person we had beside us! We strongly recommend her. She really takes the time to listen to what is important to you and helps guide your ceremony to be meaningful for a lifetime. Her spirit is bright and beautiful. You will not regret hiring her!

We received a lot of compliments at our wedding about how beautiful it was and how it expressed exactly who we were. As 2 people marrying later in life, we wanted something thoughtful and personal, which Puja helped us create. Additionally, her grace and presence at the wedding also fit perfectly.

She provided lots of examples of previous ceremonies with great meaning for us to pull from, since we did not know exactly where to begin. She provided us with an in-depth planning session where we drafted and finalized every step and what would be said. Come wedding-time, Puja was readily available to practice the day before. Our wedding guests were quite impressed with what a professional and beautiful ceremony that Puja presented. We are very happy with our choice!
