Exceptional DJ and MC!

Alan did an amazing job at our wedding! We live out of state and he made sure everything was ready to go and that the whole wedding flowed smoothly. He made a timeline with us, got our input, gave advice, and even picked us up from the airport. He goes above and beyond for his clients and we know our day wouldn’t have been as stress-free and perfect without him! 10/10 recommend!!!

Alan's attention to detail and execution throughout our wedding made the day flow perfectly and created an amazing experience for our guests. Alan's dedication to getting to know us prior to the wedding both as a couple and as clients ensured that the day was personalized to us, and allowed us to relax because we knew Alan had it covered. With Alan, you get more than a DJ, you get an MC, a collaborator during your planning phase, and a friend. Throughout our meetings he was able to provide suggestions and recommendations not only from a music and sound standpoint, but from a coordination and timing perspective. Alan was able to travel to a remote location and provide flawless sound quality outdoors for our entire day as a one man team. Alan is a collaborator and will help you make your vision come true. DJ Extraordinaire!

DJ Kelli is so much fun! We set up a zoom meeting with them and their manager and we knew as soon as the call was over they were the DJ we were looking for. So chill and the nicest human being! They really kept the party going and had fun with our guests. We had a drag performance and they played the drag queens music mash up meddle perfectly!
The email communication back and forth was incredible and they were so caring when it came to our first and last song selection.
Our only regret is not getting a good picture together for our wedding album!

Absolutely Amazing!

Alan is not just a DJ. I would say he plays the most important role in your day. He was there every step of the way and truly took his time getting to know us. Alan was extremely attentive and professional from the first consultation through the end of the wedding. Wedding day Pro!!

7/12/20— Alan with Puget Sound DJ is an absolute pro when it comes to DJ responsibilities on wedding day. Music aside, he does an incredible job keeping the timeline moving and on-tract, as well as keeping the guests entertained. He has great ideas on games to play, presentation, locations, and more to make the day memorable. Communication is clear and really gets to know the bride and groom, as well as the entire wedding party to tie all of the days events together. Music taste is on point also. Alan knows how to keep a vibe going, or change accordingly. He plays everything you want, won’t play what you don’t want, and will only take requests if you want him to. Also, he is absolutely affordable, no need to spend $5k on a DJ, when he will do an incredible job for less! Give him a chance when considering your DJ needs, not only for wedding days!

Best Dj ever

Alan is amazing.he picked up on our style and created an amazing experience for us.he makes you do some homework but it’s worth it to get the right ambiance that your looking for.he was able to read the room And adjust for when people wanted to really party and dance verses when they wanted to relax and enjoy the property and mingle.
one of my groomsmen/bridesmaid wasn’t able to make the wedding because the groomsmen was on a transplant list and got the call for his transplant The night before the wedding.Alan went out of his way to take videos of the ceremony and dances so the groomsmen could watch it.what an incredible act of service.thank you for all you do Alan, you’re amazing!

Great DJ/MC... AND Officiant

Not only would we recommend Alan to anyone as a DJ/MC for their wedding we would tell them that they should ask Alan to serve as their officiant as well.
Alan ran our entire wedding without a hitch to make sure that we had the most amazing wedding day possible. As everyone else has said Alan is a great DJ, he is able to fill every moment with the perfect mix of music for a fun and lively wedding day. He is also a fantastic master of ceremonies, coordinating with all of our other vendors and becoming familiar with our story in order to create a reception that was unique to us.
Alan didn’t stop there though, when our officiant backed out on us in mid-March he immediately stepped up offering to serve as the officiant for our ceremony. Even though he had never officiated a wedding before we were confident that he would handle the situation masterfully and boy did he deliver. We had so many guests come up to us and say that we had the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to and they were shocked to learn that we were Alan’s first ceremony. If you want a personalized, stress-free wedding day, book Alan as one of your first vendors.

DJs Got It Covered

Alan is more than a DJ he is more like a wedding planner who also can get the party started! Alan gets to know you and your love story and individualized your entrances and songs to help guests get to know you and your wedding party on a more intimate level. He is in constant contact with the caterers and the venue to make sure all the visions and plans and our schedule runs smooth. Alan played music to get the people on the dance floor and also was into playing games and fun “win the centerpiece” table challenges. We had the best stress free night and we know a lot of it was because of Alan the best DJ/Wedding Planner!

Fantastic MC & DJ

Alan was quick to respond to my e-mail inquiring about his services. He set up a time for us to chat and within in the first fifteen minutes I knew he was right DJ/MC for us. Alan took the time to get to know us as individuals as well as a couple. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to weddings. I appreciate his willingness to help create our wedding timeline. He is full of great ideas. Alan is more than just a DJ, he is a great MC. He is driven to make your wedding day all about you and your spouse. He kept things flowing throughout our big day. Alan Kept the Party Going Until Sun Down!

Alan was an amazing resource during our wedding. Not only did he help us plan out the order of events, which we hadn't even thought to do, he helped us coordinate the music for every part of the wedding to our exact taste. He also has an excellent read of the crowd. Our families are big on the 80's, so when he hit the 80's vein he knew to keep it right there!

Best DJ out there

Alan did our wedding on 8/18/18. He was easily the best choice we made for our wedding. He was dressed sharp, knew his job extremely well, and made DJing look easy. We danced almost 3 hours thanks to him and each song was a great follow to the other. He was very helpful in structuring time management through music for our wedding, and being that we were the first of our friends to get married, he was a unbelievable wealth of knowledge to lean on. Alan gets a 20/10 in my book, the only reason I rated him 5/5 is because this website restricts me from going higher.

Amazing Wedding DJ!

Alan was incredible! He really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted for our wedding - he felt like someone we could hang out with and talk to for hours! When our officiant couldn’t make it to the rehearsal, Alan volunteered to come in his place. The music was excellent and his emcee-ing kept our guests entertained and the event moving. Best Wedding DJ

Alan was the perfect DJ for our wedding. We hired him on relatively short notice and luckily he was still available for our Sunday wedding. He was happy to work with the band we hired as well. He is truly an expert and gave us some great ideas and advice. (One of his ideas, the bouquet tossing song, turned into one of my favorite moments of the night...impromptu bridesmaid dance party!) Overall, Alan is a pleasure to work with and we would definitely recommend him for your event!

Alan was great!

My sister used Alan as a DJ for her wedding. My wife and I were both impressed by his professionalism. When it was time for us to get married a year later, we knew we also wanted to use Alan for his services. His price was reasonable, he was very easy to communicate with, and he was very helpful setting up a timeline for our wedding reception (cocktail hour, food, first dance, etc). Alan is an incredible wedding DJ and MC!!!!!! He was supportive, positive, and professional from beginning to end. My husband and I absolutely loved working his him. Alan was the DJ/MC at my wedding and he did a fantastic job! I have received multiple compliments from family and friends about how great he was in making our wedding fun and memorable!! My husband and I are by no means expert party planners, and Alan's overall wedding /event expertise was a great help to us in the planning process. He went out of his way to come to our area and meet with us several times in person to guide us and offer advice (but was also super open to any ideas we had). His website is easy to use and has a lot of helpful tips. There is also a great planning form that you can fill out and really asks a lot of questions that helps the party flow, but that the novice party planner wouldn't necessarily think to ask. Alan also has excellent music (duh!) with comprehensive lists of songs, helpfully grouped by what part of the wedding they are meant to be used in ( ie; grand entrance, first dance ect.). This was awesome in helping us find some perfect song choices that we wouldn't have thought of on our own.
We also REALLY appreciated that all of his costs were up front and simple. Alan has a flat fee, and he is at your service for your whole event! No add-ons, hidden charges, or trying to nickle and dime you for extra time or special requests! Poof! so much stress gone, just like that!
On the day of the event, Alan was punctual, professional, and energetic (even though it was HOT and we were not his first wedding that weekend!). He came to the venue and set up all his equipment on his own with no special help. Throughout the reception he would come check in with my husband and I to let us know what was coming next and if we needed to be doing something, but was not at all intrusive or pushy.
Overall, he was just really committed to helping us have the wedding of our dreams!

Alan is extremely personable. We liked the style and vision that he had. After meeting with him he was able to answer all of our questions, he offered great ideas, and he was genuinely excited about our wedding. His excitement made us even more excited. He was extremely committed to making our day special. You could tell this wasn't just a job he was going to. He truly was there for us and to make our day special.
At our wedding he went above and beyond our expectations. Everyone was up and dancing, there was a smooth musical transition to each portion of our wedding, and we got lots of compliments on how great he was. My husband and I did not want to do a bouquet toss/garter, instead we wanted to do the shoe game. I have a love for golden retrievers and Alan had a shoe for my husband and golden retriever stuffed animal for me. Everyone absolutely loved it and it amazed me. Just the little personal thought that went into setting that up touched me, and it was recognized by all of our guests.
Alan was essential in our planning. He helped us figure out the feeling we wanted and how we can choose music to help guide that feeling and flow of the wedding. He gave us a great ideas for our exit which our guests absolutely loved! He was extremely professional, a great MC, and musically he did a phenomenal job. We told Alan that we wanted to make sure everyone was up and dancing and told him to do his thing and that we trusted his choices. Every single person danced at our wedding. That meant so much to us since it truly was our goal. He really delivered. Alan evaluated the group and brought everyone together.
Alan was worth everything that we paid for and more. We would highly recommend him over and over again. When we started our search we were expecting to just find a DJ, however, Alan delivered so much more. He was such a key person in our wedding.

Alan was the best choice for our wedding! Being a destination couple (we live in Arizona) we were nervous about the selection of our vendors. Alan was highly recommended by our venue and we got the opportunity to hear him DJ at an open house. We knew that Alan was the right choice after speaking with him for the first time. He is incredibly knowledgeable and professional and he takes time to meet with you and understand what you want to overall feel of your wedding to be. He spent a lot of time with us via phone and/or Skype and met with us in person before the wedding. The day of the event Alan was early to set up and so helpful. Alan knows how to keep the flow of the wedding going smoothly and he kept us on time. We didn't need to worry about any details of what was next, Alan knew (due to our prior conversations) and he kept us on schedule. He was friendly with guests, a great speaker, and you can tell he truly enjoys what he does. Alan was a delight to work with! From our first meeting, it was clear that this was more than just another “gig.” He was instrumental in helping us design our day from the flow of the ceremony and our grand entrance to coordinating transitions and hosting a trivia game during dinner. Most importantly, we were able to create the perfect playlist and Al delivered on an awesome dance party. Fun, professional and certainly knows his craft. An absolute master at what he does and someone who kept the party rolling all night long. When hiring a DJ you need to look at more than just fancy equipment (which he has plenty). You need some somebody who you trust to direct the flow and pacing of one of the most important nights of your life. As a wedding professional myself and someone who specifically chose Alan and Puget Sound DJ to be the DJ at MY wedding, I can't express enough the importance of finding somebody with the right experience. We had Alan DJ for our wedding last summer. I didn't have a day of planner so I needed a DJ who was able to carry the whole day and entertain all the guests. Alan was perfect!! He was very organized and made a timeline for the whole day so we knew exactly what was happening when. He took the time to get to know my fiancé and I so he could make it more personal, rather than some cookie cutter reception. I had a few songs that I had to have at the wedding but other than that I left it up to him. The guests loved him. We were so happy we found him. The day wouldn't have been a success without him!!!

Having Alan as our wedding DJ was SUCH a good idea! I felt like Alan just knew EVERYTHING. We met multiple times to discuss details and he provided his opinion and thoughts on topics that I wasnt sure of. I had never planned a wedding before so his experienced input really helped us make some decisions on how our ceremony and rehearsal was going to run.
Alan met with us a couple of times for multiple hours to hash out details and I really felt so relieved everytime we left a meeting with him. Just felt *phew*, got lots of details checked off the list!
On the wedding day Alan ran everything so smoothly and helped keep us on schedule. He played all the songs I wanted and really made sure I (the bride) was happy and my needs were met.

My husband and I met up with Alan and decided the same day that he was going to be the DJ for our wedding. He is such a friendly man. He worked with us to make sure he played music that we wanted. He made tons of suggestions, which made it easy for us to make all the decisions. The day of the wedding, EVERYONE was dancing and having a blast! People are still talking about how much fun they had at the wedding, how the music was awesome and how the dance floor was always full- which was exactly what we wanted! When we began planning our wedding we had actually made the decision not to have an MC or DJ and just have someone do the music to save some money. However, we thought this might be a little chaotic so we decided to at least see what was out there for a reasoanble price.

The first time we talked, Alan and I chatted on the phone for an hour. He explained that he takes full responsiblity for the reception--from making sure the photographer is there for the cake cutting to lining everyone up for their toasts. This was such a relief for me and I couldn't say no to a seemingly stress-free reception.

He totally lived up to his words. He took care of everything related to the reception, including helping my husband and his band set up and providing a lot of equipment for them to perform a song was above and beyond. He organized our 18 person wedding party like a champ and had some great ideas for how to engage our friends and family. Most of the feedback we have heard about our wedding was somehow related to Alan. One of our friends said he felt like he was listening to his favorite playlist on his iPod all night.

Alan byfar exceeded all expectations I had of a DJ and MC. I would absolutely recommend him to any bride and groom planning a wedding. He is professional, charismatic and energetic and genuinely cares about making your wedding day the best day of your life.

Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and we owe a large portion of that to Alan.

Alan is AMAZING! We were planning a NYE wedding all the way from Dallas, TX.
Alan went above in beyond to make sure that we felt that we had all we needed from the start. He gave us tons of recommendations for vendors, was quick to respond to any questions, and really made sure our wedding was personalized to meet our needs. He made sure we had the music we wanted and even was creative enough to create fun and engaging introductions for each of the members in our wedding party!
He was more than just a DJ!

We didn't hire a wedding planner and so he graciously offered to help us with our timeline and even made sure everything flowed smoothly on the night of our wedding. He even surprised us with a recording of our speeches!

Because it was NYE, we had our photographer leave around 10pm and a Photo Booth arrived to last us into the new year. Well... we all ended up on the bow of the ship (our wedding was on a ferry boat) to watch the fire works off the Space Needle at midnight and guess who was right there with a professional camera?! Alan! We are so happy we got to capture this moment. He truly is a man of all trades.

We had planned to wrap up our wedding around 1:00am. As 1:00am approached, we knew we didn't want the party to end and Alan said he would love to stay later. We were ecstatic!

I cannot say enough good things about Alan! Hire him! Not only is he a great guy, he really made our wedding the wedding we had hoped it would be!

If we could give Alan more than five stars, we definitely would! Alan surpassed our expectations! He was absolutely amazing, we cannot express enough how thankful we are that he was able to be there on our special day. Everything from the ceremony up until the very end of the reception was absolutely perfect. He worked closely with both our photographer and planner to ensure that everything was running smoothly. He truly made our day special in more ways than one!

We 100% feel that Alan was personally committed to making our day what we wanted! During our multiple phone calls he gave us suggestions and made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted. We felt more like an extension of his family than his clients.

Alan was so helpful! I don't know what we would have done without all of his great advice. He has so much knowledge and information, it is beyond fantastic! We had no clue a week before the wedding what songs we wanted for some of our major events but he was quick to give us amazing suggestions.

Alan is so personable! The first time we met him, we spent over an hour just talking about our families, our favorite sports teams and the things that mattered most to us at our wedding. It is so clear this is his personal passion and he aims to put on a great show and host a an even better party! And then some! At the reception, he surprised us with a recorded greeting from a friend who lived out of the country and was unable to make the wedding. This meant the world to us! It is still one of the highlights of our day!

Looking back, my husband and I have very fond memories of our wedding day. Pretty much everything went just as planned. Without Alan, our wedding day would not have gone so smoothly. He took charge when needed but then blended in the background. Alan was very professional, kind and had a great sense of humor.
The night of our rehearsal, our Officiant was not able to attend. I was about to have a heart attack. But one call to Alan from this pleading bride and he so kindly filled in, in his absence. That was such a huge relief for myself and my husband.
Alan is very accommodating, experienced and equally professional. You can definitely put your trust into Puget Sound DJs.

Alan is the best! The level of detail and effort that Alan put in to making our day perfect was amazing. The best part of our day was the ceremony. We had all parents and bridal party dance down the isle to Happy and I with my father danced down to Best day of my life. Everything was prefect. When it came to the exit, well that was a surprise and yet again it was perfect! The famous James Brown danced is out! I feel good was exactly right.
At the reception Alan kept the party going all night. I recommend that everyone play the shoe game. So many of our guests commented how much they loved the game too! Thank you Alan for the most amazing day, keeping our crazy group on track is almost impossible but you pulled it off!

Alan was a last minute connection for us as we lost our DJ and he happened to have an open day on one of the busiest weekends in the summer. I was hesitant to have a DJ as I am very particular about music and cheesy MCs. Alan was quick to respond and met with us in person multiple times. You could tell he wanted to make sure that he was the right fit for us. He took a lot of time to really connect with us personally and make sure he knew our exact wishes. We were flexible with what happened but very particular about the music and I think Alan really went above and beyond to both help us plan out the evening and find the perfect music that matched our needs. Alan exceeded our expectations in every way.

Our day was perfect. We planned our wedding in Seattle while living in California. To cut costs we decided against having a wedding planner. Without a wedding planner we knew that we had to make careful decisions with selecting our vendors. We saw our DJ as our most important vendor. When we spoke to Alan, he listened intently to our vision of our wedding day, was witty and professional. He understood our concerns with planning a wedding from a different state and immediately eased many of our concerns. Bottom line was that we felt extremely comfortable and confident that Alan would do a great job.

Alan is a very authentic and genuine person which transcends into his professional work.. We felt as if Alan genuinely cared for us and wanted our day to be absolutely perfect!

At our wedding we had 2 year olds and 82 year olds. And we wanted EVERYONE to have a good time and that started with getting people on the dance floor. We told Alan that we wanted to get everyone our there dancing and he made it happen. We discussed our playlist ideas, but we didn't want to micro-manage Alan. We felt comfortable with allowing Alan to read the crowd and make decisions. After all, this is his profession! The reception was EPIC. Literally. Such a fun time and I saw every single person on the dance floor that

Alan as an MC was perfect! He is a great communicator, witty and confident! He can control a crowd. He put a lot of thought into the flow of a reception did a great job explaining things to us before the big day.

We had at least 20 people tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Absolutely perfect!

Alan is by far the best DJ I've ever come across. Not because he can scratch and mix, but because he makes makes the vision of the day happen! He takes it seriously. I would HIGHLY suggest Alan as a DJ.

Alan was amazing!!! We met him at a wedding expo in Everett and hit it right off. After listening to a few DJ companies give there speeches on what they provide, we decided Alan was our man. The one thing we wanted, was to know what we were are getting. Alan is the one showing up at the wedding, not some guy who works for the company who the manager says is great. Alan met us 5 minutes from our house to talk about our plans on a few occasions. Alan knows his music and knows how to make a wedding happen smoothly. Day of the wedding he showed up early, talked for a few minutes to make sure we were all on the same page. It was wonderful not having to worry about what we are doing next and the time frame, he made sure the guest enjoyed themselves. Without Alan making the party happen, getting some of our wild party away for oysters and beer would have been a challenge. But he ROCKED IT! Worth the money, you know who and what to expect. No surprises, no hidden fees! Would refer him to ANYONE that is looking for an awesome DJ & MC!

I cannot recommend Alan’s services enough. He is a consummate professional who is client-centered and cares about your event’s success. I interviewed a ton of DJs, all of whom were high pressure and high priced – at times, I felt like I was dealing with car salespeople. Our experience with Alan was a very welcome departure from that experience. Prior to our booking, Alan did an extensive phone consult with me. Later, my husband and I met with Alan and knew instantly that we had found our DJ. He knows his craft and it showed in that first meeting.

In our experience, Alan goes above and beyond to make your day complete. After a major storm prevented my maid of honor from making the wedding, he worked tirelessly to come up with a solution to make her present virtually, and he was a truly comforting presence in a hectic time. I was both surprised and overjoyed to walk into my reception and see my best friend on an iPad and a projector as they tested out the technology. Later in the evening, my MoH was able to give her toast from 3,000 miles away (even if the venue's wireless was spotty at times). Without Alan’s hard work and dedication to his clients, none of that would have been possible – I will truly remember that experience forever.

As far as the music at the wedding proper is concerned, my guests were really pleased with the music selections throughout the night. We gave him a roadmap of music we liked, and he read the room accordingly. His suggestions for what we should do throughout the night such as choosing a song to close the evening or play the Shoe Game were on-point and very well received. My husband and I danced virtually all night and had a blast.

Alan treats his clients as friends and, by extension, will certainly work hard to make your event a success. Between the rain and the missing bridal party, our event could have been a disaster. Thanks to Alan and our other vendors, it was perfect!

We hired Alan for our DJ for our Winter wedding. Alan was the only vendor who met with us TWICE before the wedding to make sure that he knew our personalities and what we were looking for from our wedding DJ. The day of our wedding we had a few changes and Alan was flexible and able to easily work with the change in room and change in lay out of the bridal party. He knew our number one goal was to get our guests out on the dance floor. He did a great job playing the right music for our guests and we all danced the night away! It was a great day for us and Alan played a huge part in making our day perfect! We would definitely recommend Alan as a DJ for your wedding!

Having Alan DJ and MC our big day was the best decision that we made when planning our wedding. The value and personal attention that we received was unparalleled to any other DJ out there; I have met several in the Seattle area and none come even close! Alan graciously provided us with a pre-wedding planning session where he not only ran through the details of what songs to play when and what we expected from him to keep the party flowing, but he also helped us fill in some of holes that were left in our plan after deciding to forgo a planner. Alan spent as much time with us during our preparation. He wanted our evening to be as memorable as possible, so he played all the songs we wanted and he even made a compilation of three songs to dance to for our first dance. If you love to dance, Alan is your man...the energy was high the entire night and we had guests of all age ranges on the dance floor the whole night. Alan is a class act!!

I have always considered my dream wedding to be the GLEE Musical story of my life. Al had all the right music to fulfill this dream.

His consultation was an amazing experience because he thought of things like traditions, rituals, ways to keep your guests entertained, things I had no idea about.

He not only plays music for your ceremony and reception, but he is the MC and he's engaging with your guests and he keeps the trains on track. He helped orchestrate my rehearsal, he has top of the line equipment, and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere that he created not only for our guests but for the beautiful memories that I will always have.

Alan worked extra hard to make sure that my day went as planned and that I got everything and more out of my day that I had planned. I look back at our wedding day and between Alan working with the staff at our venue, my coordinator, to being the voice and delivery of our day - not one thing went sideways and he is the 1 vendor I have to thank for making it all happen!!

My wife and I went back and forth about live music vs a dj for a little while before we decided that a dj was more in our price range. That being said and money aside, the job that Alan did not only as a dj, but as a facilitator in general made me extremely happy that we took the route we did. Everything flowed seamlessly and that is because of Alan's dedication to providing an excellent service. When your wedding day comes, you want to be able to just sit back and take in the moment, and that is what choosing Alan Chitlik allowed us to do. He worked behind the scenes with everybody to make sure everything was moving at the right pace and read the crowd flawlessly. He has my highest recommendation, without hesitation.

Alan was amazing to work with. He was there for us the entire wedding planning process. Little did we know how important it is to have a good dj/mc to plan your big day! I was on the phone with him the night before the wedding making last minute decisions to the song list and even the morning of I had a couple more changes, he was there and willing to make those changes! For his services We felt like we got so much more for our money, and when it comes to wedding you don't hear that very often! Alan really wanted to help us make our day OURS and no one else's! Alan was highly recommended from our current photographer, Lucas Mobley, and now comes highly recommended from us. We were in a bind (actually we had slightly procrastinated) and down to our last week before our wedding. We needed someone who would come in a do a great job and do most of the heavy lifting in terms of song selection and setup, etc. We first met with Alan and instantly got along. He's very easy going and listens closely to what matters to us. He was able to work independently and give suggestions along the way. Also his DJ style was such that he wants to keep the flow of the party and listens and adjusts to things as they happen. He told us this when we met him but it wasn't till the actual event where we actually came to appreciate this.

Alan was extremely professional in all of our interactions and in the night of the event. He has top notch equipment which was key to making the night flow. But really more than that it's his great experience in in viewing a crowd and determining how the keep the flow and vibe moving. He would never play a bad song that cleared the dance floor. Instead he would play things that kept people moving when we wanted them.

The best part about Alan is his personality and work ethic. We hired him with very short notice. He worked day and night to put together an event for us and filled in all of the pieces we were missing. He incorporated our interests and found songs to fill the places we were unsure of.

We're both very grateful to have Alan at our wedding and we could not have had the successful night without him.

Alan went above and beyond to make our wishes come true on the evening. He met with us beforehand numerous times to ensure everything was perfect on the day. I still have guests to this day who rave about Alan and how funny and personable he was on the night. When guests were nervous about their toasts coming up, his demeanor and humor in the moment put them at total ease. He made the evening flow perfectly. Alan was also a brilliant MC! Several guests commented how great he was in that he was never obtrusive, he never took over attention, just easily and seamlessly moved things along. He was there, but not there, subtlety guiding the event with humor and dignity in the best possible way.Al has a great energy and charisma about him. First off we had a blast and Alan contributed to it. We wanted our wedding to be fun but honestly had no idea about the details. After our first meeting with Alan it was clear how thoughtful and committed he was in helping us create an event that mirrored us not him. He's not flashy or over the top, he's genuine and with the subtly art of adjusting his energy level to match yours. We definitely felt it during the wedding and reception. When we were high, the music was pumping, which quite honestly was most of the night, and when things needed to slow down he eased into it without it being awkward. We did have a little hiccup with our recessional music but it added to the intimacy of the event along with giving some of our late guest a chance to say they witnessed our ceremony(at least a part of it). I'm a planner and could easily of been caught up in the details during the event, but Alan gave me the gift of allowing me to be completely present during our reception because he was managing our pre-arranged goals. After a few items got ticked off without me needing to prompt it, i knew I could relax. During the planning process he was excellent with guiding us through the "details" as well as being open to challenging his own comfort level after we decided to have an east coast style reception, with dancing in between courses. :) After we realized he had plenty of options outside of the expected we decided to use him for the wedding instead of our initial plans for live musicians, he even mic'd my sister up who was officiating.

Alan was a pleasure to work with. His music selection was great, as an MC he engaged the crowd without being over-the-top, and he was incredibly helpful in planning our day. Alan seemed very personable and interested in getting to know us so he could tailor the entertaiment and experience to our likes, dislikes, and intended mood. We felt that Alan was committed to a making this a personal experience for us and our family and friends. We met a few times before the event and he was aware of all the details that needed to be figured out for everything that was planned. He let us decide all that we wanted and was willing and confident in making decisions where when left him the "reigns."

Helpful is an understatement in Alan's involvemet. Without the experience that Alan had brought into the planning and preparation, our wedding would not have went 1/2 as well as it had. We used several of his proposals and ideas. He was also able to give advice on both pros and cons to help us improve on the ideas for our wedding.

I really like Alan's flexibility in playing music we liked. His knowledge and experience is exceptional. He was able to adjust easily during the reception to accomodate various events such as dinner and cake cutting. I would reccommend Alan for any wedding.

Alan went above and beyond the duties of a DJ. He met with us several times over the wedding planning process to help us with putting together a detailed timeline, finalizing the timeline, helped with all the little details that couples might not think about (even items outside of just music and MCing), and even provided vendor recommendations when we asked. Whatever problems or issues came up, Alan wanted to hear about them and help in any way that he could. He can be a little slow at responding during his busiest times, but he always gets back to you. During the wedding, he showed up looking very professional and he made sure we kept up with our timeline. He knew how to read the crowd and play what people wanted to hear. He made sure that he checked in with us throughout the night, but at the same time, he dealt with any problems that arose instead of bothering us. Alan also coordinated with all the other vendors to make sure they were in line with the timeline as well. If you are looking for a DJ that does more than just plug in his iPod, Alan is your guy...definitely worth every penny.

Alan is great to work with. You can tell he has a lot of experience and loves what he does. He was very helpful right off the bat. He is great at supporting you in finding how you want things done based on all the possibilities. He was crucial day of the wedding as he coordinated with all the vendors to make sure everything was running smoothly. He also coordinated with us without being pushy. He took a lot of stress off of us during the wedding.

Alan had a lot of experience and therefore a lot of knowledge of what worked and what didn't. Alan listened to our tastes and our desires for what we wanted while simultaneously helping to guide us make good decisions about our reception program.
I felt that Alan had a good understanding of who we were and the vision of what we wanted. We collaborated pretty closely as the wedding approached to make sure we were on the same page for the reception.
Alan was very knowledgeable and professional. Alan knew what we were going for and made it a very good experience.
Alan had a good understanding of our tastes, as well as a good understanding of old favorites that the crowd would like. Music, timing, volume, was all appropriate.
Alan did a good job. He commanded attention without being overwhelming or becoming the center of attention. He kept the program running smoothly.
I felt the value was comparable to the service provided-- that is to say, money well spent.
I felt that the wedding and reception went well. Alan did a good job facilitating the festivities, keeping us on track, and making sure the reception went smoothly.
I'd say that Alan did a good job for us and would be a good choice for anyone that needed a DJ.

Alan was great! He was upfront about his costs and made our wedding feel like a personal deal to him rather than another gig. Alan helped us put together a really fun time. He gave us ideas we hadn't even thought about and asked all the right questions. Alan was really flexible with meetings, he would drive an hour just so me and Eric could meet him just up the road. Even though Eric and I were still giving details to him on the night before the wedding he made it all work!

He was amazing on the day. Along with our wedding planner he pretty much ran the show. My husband and I could just sit back and relax at our wedding. Everybody loved Alan, he was giving advice to everyone on day. My dad was nervous about giving a speech so he gave him a pep talk.

Alan Chitlik from Puget Sound DJ performed the DJ services at our wedding at Sodo Park in October 2010 and was great to work with in so many ways. He offered a generous amount of consultation time before the wedding day to go over logistics, planning and our preferred songs. He was extremely helpful and patient (as we had many questions when it came to the entire process). We received not only DJ services, but Alan also helped prepare us for the entire wedding day process with his experience and background in performing at weddings. We really appreciated his relaxed attitude. As an MC, he was non-obtrusive and left the focus on the bride and groom.

On the wedding day, Alan was a complete professional who helped guide our entire day flawlessly and with ease. Our ceremony was beautiful and unique and the reception was a huge hit with all our guests — from our friends to our parents' friends, everyone was commenting on how fun both the music and dancing were the entire evening.

If you want an affordable, flexible, fun yet professional DJ who helps you think through the entire day and all the "little things" and not solely the DJ aspect, we would highly recommend Puget Sound DJ. Alan was so easy to work with and made our big day even more special and memorable.

Alan was fantastic!! He worked with us through the entire process, made suggestions when we needed guidance, and got to know us as a couple so the music fit us and our wedding like a glove. Thank you for making our wedding perfect!!

Kept the party going!

DJ Alan was so much fun to have at our wedding! He was great at keeping the party going - reading the crowd and switching things up as needed. He also really listened to us - we wanted some more unusual music and he did a great job balancing that with keeping the crowd happy. He kept things running smoothly and on-time for the entire day and was a great asset to our vendor team!

Alan Was Great!

Alan is insured, licensed, has a back up set of equipment, has his own website, and can take requests both on the fly and ahead of time. Alan was definitely more committed than "just a gig" that's for sure. He went above expectations. The biggest drawback was slow responses to attempts to contact him. But he made up for that in other ways. Alan spent a lot of time working with us to edit a song for our first dance as well as helped us chose a father/daughter dance song. He also met us at the venue so he could see it first hand and help us design a floor plan. He also helped gauge how long Cocktail Hour needed to be and assisted in our timeline making. It was above and beyond what we expected.

He wasn't like a talk show host and I'm glad for that. A recent wedding I went to had a talk show host style MC which is what I was afraid would also happen to ours. I think he added just the right amount of cheesy-ness to our day.

Alan was an awesome DJ! He played everything we asked him to and was very appropriate with songs that he picked. Every song that was played that night was awesome and we loved!! We were very happy with him as an MC as well. He moved things along and did not talk too much. Pacing was important to us and he made sure that he stayed on schedule. He is among the more expensive options but he will work with you and deliver exactly what you want. He is very reliable, has good suggestions, creates a timeline for you, and is always available to chat if needed. He plays awesome music and knows what gets the crowd going. Truly no complaints.

We planned our wedding from 1500 miles away and Alan was very helpful throughout the entire process. He promptly replied to e-mails and made every effort to meet with us when we were in town. He was committed to ensuring the night was about my wife and I, while still making sure that our family and friends had an amazing time. The personal touch of voice-overs during our first dance demonstrated his commitment not only to his profession, but also to his clients.

"Personally committed" does not come close to describing the level of service we received. In paying for DJ services, we received a wedding planner, day-of coordinator, MC, and DJ all in one. Based on multiple in-person meetings and phone calls, Alan truly took the time to tailor our perfect day, bending to our will when necessary and offering priceless advice when needed.

Alan is very passionate about what he does. He will strive to make your event special and he truly wants to get to know you personally. Alan can be a little cheesy at times with his jokes, but overall he was a great DJ at our wedding! He was professional, prepared, on-time, and upbeat. Additionally, Alan was able to fulfill every song request we gave him.

DJ Alan is very responsive and priced very fairly. He is more than willing to meet with clients, chat via email, phone calls, etc. to nail down all the details and he definitely spends time building a timeline to customize your wedding day just for you. With that said, the DJ was our only vendor that did not exceed our standards on our wedding day. For example, we were told to write down detailed information about our bridal party and ourselves for him to pull out small details here and there to share. As it turns out, he read verbatim every word we wrote and we felt it took away from the magic and excitement of our grand entrance. As we stood there waiting, we asked for him to just skip it and announce us, but the reading continued on. We also requested special dedication announcements and songs for grandparents and bridal party members and these were not played during the night. Overall, my husband and I are the only ones who knew about the snafus, but some of the things that were most important to us were skipped over or rushed and others dragged on.

On a positive note, many of our guests said the sound was very clear on the microphones during the ceremony, and the cocktail and dinner music was very appropriate for the crowd and venue. We would probably recommend a different vendor if reception and music are the most important part of your day, but there were shining moments also, so it was a fair experience overall.
