    A perfect day!

    A stunning venue. I heard good reviews from guests on the cocktail hour food, the ballroom quality, the rooftop vibes. The wedding party felt at ease the entire time. The bridal suite was also very comfortable to get ready in and store our belongings.

    November 2023 Wedding

    We loved having our wedding at the Ballroom at Providence G! The space was very upscale and elegant. It looked fantastic in photos, and it felt great in person too. We also really enjoyed working with the staff at the venue. We worked hand-in-hand with several different people, and each person was organized, kind, and detail-oriented. And even though we talked with multiple people throughout the planning process, everything was very cohesive and all of our requests were honored (with no exceptions whatsoever). We also enjoyed having our cocktail hour on the Rooftop at the Providence G. The vibes up there were immaculate, and we also loved the appetizers and drinks. Additionally, we received several compliments from our guests on the location. Everyone took advantage of how the venue is in the heart of downtown Providence to spend some time enjoying the city. We loved our wedding here!

    The best wedding venue

    We looked at several venues and fell in love with the Providence G ballroom and rooftop. Little did we know that we would have the absolute most amazing team that truly worked so hard to make this dream wedding celebration me true!! Can’t give enough praise to everyone!! Thank you!!     Excellent experience

    The event staff at Providence G was a dream to work with. They are quick to respond to every single question, and email in the stressful months leading up to the wedding, and on the day of they were with us every step of the way with whatever we needed. They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors and everything was perfect for our special day

    The Wilbanks/Albin wedding, WOW!WOW!WOW!!

    I don’t even know where to begin other than THANK YOU!!! I could not have asked for a better location and staff to have my wedding at. The roof top cocktail hour was absolutely stunning, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere & staff (SHOUT OUT TO DANIEL!!) was simply perfect. We had our ceremony as well as our reception in the ballroom and my gosh was it stunning! Every vendor that the Providence G ballroom connected us with was top tier! And now to the most important part of my wedding, LAUREN! LAUREN LAUREN LAUREN! I legitimately have tears in my eyes as I’m writing this because I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, knowledgeable, patient and hard-working individual to make my dream day a reality. And every question comment and concern I had she put at ease immediately. Lauren’s quick responses and adaptability was through the roof. Throughout the entire process of planning my wedding for over a year, She was my calming guardian angel. She could tell through a simple email or text my stress level, and as soon as I spoke with her every worry went away immediately. Lauren is a powerhouse and anybody that has her as their coordinator is the luckiest person on earth. She is so hands on from the moment she meets you until the moment you are going home from the wedding. We stayed an extra day in town with all of our wedding, party and family and somehow last minute she was able to set up at the rooftop a fire pit with water stations, a huge dining room table outside for 18 people in the middle of their busiest time on Saturday. I will never be able to put into words how thankful I was, and still am for Lauren. It’s rare you come across somebody like her, and I am so grateful that I did, and she will always hold a very special place in our lives for all she did & continues to do. I also have to give great thanks and praise to Meaghan at the G as well! Not only is she so personable and funny, but a lot like Lauren she was on top of everything. The two of them together are a force to be reckoned with. Those two girls in my opinion are the perfect dynamic duo! All I can say again is thank you thank you thank you! The best day of my life wouldn’t have been the same if it weren’t for Lauren and Meaghan. Not just the wedding or reception but them as people, as professionals, they are, and will always be a part of the magic that was my wedding.

    Simply Exquisite

    Lauren, Ashlyn and team truly made our wedding day perfect . They are so sweet , knowledgeable, and prepared with ANYTHING you may need . The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with both the roof top space and the ballroom. I can’t wait to visit again for either a night out for drinks on the rooftop, or a future wedding for another lucky couple!! Do not hesitate to lock in this venue for your special day !!!

    Book this venue!

    Book this venue for your wedding! If I could give more than 5 stars for the service I received from the ladies at the G I absolutely would. I started planning my wedding about a year and a half ago, and from the very beginning the amount of communication and support I received from Lauren and Ashlyn was AMAZING. They respond promptly to every question, and always make sure they provide you with everything you need. Leading up to the big day, they made sure to meet with me in person and made sure I had everything figured out and ready to go. From the rehersal to the big day, I am still in shock that nothing went wrong. I for sure thought something would happen even a little small thing but these girls really made sure I had my dream wedding without me having to stress the day of. Just simply amazing I can’t even put into words how thankful I am! After our cocktail hour, they even snagged some hor d'oeuvres for me and my husband and made sure they were downstairs ready for us to eat before we walked into our reception, in case we didn’t get to eat all of them during cocktail hour. And during the reception, Lauren even let me have a new pair of flip flops she had at her desk because my feet hurt so bad haha. I just couldn’t have asked for a more stress free wedding day and they were a big part of that. Thank you Lauren and Ashlyn for making my day so amazing!♥️

    Perfect wedding day

    Lauren, Ashlyn and Jen have a wealth of wedding planning experience. They had worked with almost all our vendors and provided great insight into how the day would unfold. They took care of every detail and we were able to fully enjoy our daughter’s wedding! The rooftop deck was beautifully arranged, appetizers were delicious and plentiful and the ballroom was spacious and intimate at the same time. The day was perfect!

    Thank you Providence G

    My wife and I fell in love with the Ballroom at Providence G for our wedding. We loved the idea that the venue allowed you to build your wedding vision. We couldn't be more thankful of how our wedding day turned out. We did a ballroom ceremony, a beautiful rooftop cocktail hour & Ballroom reception. The ambiance was just wonderful, the Ballroom was stunning-beautiful, and every single detail about our wedding at this venue was perfect. We can't thank Lauren, Ashlyn & the rest of the G Hospitality staff for making our wedding vision come true! From the very beginning Lauren and Ashlyn were easy to communicate with, flexible, and were so knowledgeable. We loved that every single option and question that we asked they were open to work through. We loved every aspect of working with Lauren and Ashlyn! They are great at what they do, very professional and truly co-ordinated every aspect of our wedding. Words cannot describe how thankful we are about the turnout of our wedding. They are awesome. Their service at the wedding was excellent. We are thankful we chose the Ballroom at the Providence G and GHOSP team.     Phenomenal location

    If you're looking for the best place to have your wedding, look no further. We booked the Providence G as It was the location of our first date but you can't beat all the benefits It provides at a great price with a great team. They provide great communication throughout the whole process, host events with vendors that are popular in the area and so much more. I can't emphasize enough why you should host your wedding or other event at the beautiful Providence G!

    Perfect in every way!

    We knew the G was the perfect place for us and our wedding the moment we first saw it. The rooftop ceremony/cocktail hour gave us incredible views of the city while the ballroom gave us the look/feel of a sophisticated reception. It's location in the heart of the city gave our guests so many options as far as hotels and things to do.     Prov G is a hidden gem!

    The venue and staff were amazing and everything we could have asked for! Lauren and her team were very flexible and communicative during the whole planning process, especially when we had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic. Highly recommend!!

    Amazing Venue

    We fell in love with this venue the moment we walked in and we are not sorry we booked. The entire team was so helpful through the whole process and answered all of my crazy emails at all hours of the day. I never felt uncomfortable reaching out to ask anything and they went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. Our guests loved the rooftop and could not stop talking about how unique the experience was. Our wedding day was so seamless and I could not have asked for a better experience.

    Rebecca is the MVP

    We cannot say enough good things about the experience we had working with Rebecca at the Providence G. From beginning to end, Rebecca was unbelievably responsive, helpful, professional and everything in between. As for the venue, it is everything you could ask for. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour on the roof and the ballroom was the perfect space for our ceremony and reception. We rounded out the night in the G Pub with games and late night snacks. Thank you Providence G for making our wedding everything we could have hoped for!

    Loved this as our wedding venue!

    We had our ceremony and reception at the Providence G and absolutely loved it! We had ceremony and cocktail hour on the Rooftop and then reception in the ballroom and both are so beautiful. Our guests gave us so many compliments about both spaces. Rebecca and her staff at the G are so wonderful to work with - she is so thorough and patient with questions and helped make our day run so smoothly.

    Wedding Venue

    I could not be more happy with having the Providence G as our wedding venue on October 20, 2018! We had our cocktail hour on the roof deck with the fireplaces and it was absolutely gorgeous and the food was great! We had the reception in the ballroom which was so elegant and beautiful! Lastly we had our after party at the G Pub downstairs with snacks and games which was so convenient and fun! The venue itself was great but what made our day beyond perfect was the wedding coordinator Rebecca Miller who did everything from helping us with vendor selections to running around the day of to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of and more - she helped to get a stain out of my dress when I dropped and app and helped with my very difficult bustle and everything in between! I could not recommend the venue and Rebecca more! If you are considering having your wedding here you will not be disappointed!!

    In my opinion, this is the absolute BEST place to have a wedding in RI. Your guests get to experience 2 gorgeous spots in one place. You can host Cocktail hour on the rooftop overlooking the city...this is what drew us to this venue...there's nothing else like it in RI...and its so stunning you don't even need to decorate up there which allows you to put that money elsewhere. Then guests go downstairs to experience the gorgeous marble ballroom with huge windows and beautiful columns in the center creating a great space for a dance floor. Another reason to pick the Ballroom at the G is REBECCA. The event coordinator there is amazing - and they are so accommodating and allow Brides to do WHATEVER they want - so if you are creative this is the place for you. If you want tons of lighting - YES, Custom dance floor - YES. If you want to visit the space a million times prior to the event to measure every inch of it and come up with more ideas for the layout -its a YES. Long tables as opposed to the standard round tables? - YES! Rebecca says YES to all of your ideas and lets your imagination create a space that is uniquely yours...our wedding will never look the same as anyone else's because the G is a blank slate and the couple can dress it up however they please. No two weddings there will ever be alike and I love that! Who wants a cookie cutter wedding where your photos look like everyone elses who had their wedding there...? (No one!) This venue will not disappoint!!!!

    If being married on a rooftop isn't amazing enough, the event coordinator and ballroom were perfect! The Providence G was such a great location, everything ran smoothly, and we could not have been happier with the way the day turned out.

    Overall, our experience, from start to finish was seemless. Rebecca was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions to help make our day memorable! It was a perfect place for a “one stop shop”. We were able to have our cocktail hour on the rooftop, reception in the ballroom and even a little after hours party in the G pub, with karaoke rooms and pool tables that were reserved for our friends and family. The Providence G was the perfect venue for our modern romantic wedding, right in the middle of downtown Providence. We have already recommended this venue, and will continue to do so!

    Rebecca Miller is perfect. She was very organized and caring throughout the planning process from one year before the wedding to the day of. On the day of, she was so attentive to our needs, while being a flexible and calming presence. I cannot say enough how happy we were to have her as our coordinator. Rebecca is in the perfect career because she is great at what she does. She really understands that she is helping to create a day that people will remember forever.

    The Providence G as a venue itself was also incredible. Our ceremony was on the rooftop and that was gorgeous by itself without any need for us to decorate the space. We only had 2 floral arrangements where the wedding party would stand to frame that space, but otherwise it was flawless as it was. (Note: this space has room for about 100-120 seated guests I believe. It also IS all handicapped-accessible, which is great.) The space was on one of the sides of the rooftop, open to air and we got lucky that the day was so beautiful, but we were assured that if there was bad weather, the space could easily be moved to the covered area (still with a beautiful view of the city through the glass windows that enclose the space).

    We had our cocktail hour on the rooftop as well, with passed appetizers and an open bar (up to a certain amount on a tab).

    For the reception, the ballroom was the perfect size for our group of about 100 guests, but larger groups could definitely fit well there. The ballroom is simply elegant and it was the perfect space to fill up. The venue’s uplighting was beautiful, so we didn't need to outsource for that which was great. The tables and chairs were also included with the venue space, and it was all very flexible. Rebecca gave us a link to SocialTables with the ballroom space laid out to adjust and label as we went through planning. We had a big beautiful party at the Providence G and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in the city.

    We had our ceremony on the rooftop and it exceeded our expectations. We had a very large wedding guest list, but the rooftop accommodated everyone comfortably. There isn't much to decorate from our end because the rooftop looks amazing as is and the view is spectacular. All of our ceremony photos did not need much photoshopping because the view speaks for themselves.
    The ballroom was very nice as well. The lighting and decor made the place very classy and grand, as a ballroom should be. Overall, beautiful venue and the staff was beyond accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend for the views of the city.

    We had our cocktail hour and reception at the G and could not be happier with our experience throughout the planning process. Rebecca was an absolute pleasure - always responded quickly and made sure everything was in place day of. The rooftop and ballroom are beautiful spaces, our guests were raving about how unique and cozy the rooftop is. Everything turned out perfectly! We are so happy to have had our wedding night at the G, no other venue in Providence can compare.

    Rebecca at the G was a life saver. The venue was amazing, the flexibility with the rooftop was wonderful, and Rebecca was truly professional and accommodating. My guests had a great time, and I couldn't have asked for a better value venue anywhere in downtown Providence. The G is the ONLY venue that really provides a blank slate for your event - no restrictions on vendors/caterers. The ballroom is also the best I have ever seen - no ugly, outdated carpet or parquet dance floor, only classy original marble floors laid in 1920 and beautiful chandeliers and high ceilings. We saved thousands of dollars by hiring our own bartenders and providing our own liquor from the NH State liquor store. There is no other venue in or near Providence that would allow this (at least not that I know of). My wedding appeared a lot fancier and more expensive than it was. The same venue in MA, CT, or NY would cost twice as much or more. Tables and chairs in the ballroom were included in the price of the space rental. If I could do it again, I would spend the extra money for cocktail hour on the roof. I highly recommend this venue and Rebecca's services (included in rental also). No regrets from this bride!

    Thank you Rebecca and the team at the Providence G for making my wedding truly the fairy tale I imagined it could be. Rebecca worked so diligently with my coordinator and vendors to bring my guest the most beautiful night. With a ballroom ceremony with beautiful chandeliers to a rooftop cocktail hour overlooking providence to my first dance on the marble floor, everything was picture perfect. My guests raved about the beauty and uniqueness of the venue. It combined by love for vintage to my husband's love of architecture. Truly the perfect place for our romantic providence wedding.

    Where do to begin? The best money we spent on our wedding was this venue for our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour reception, and after party. We utilized Garde de La Mer for the rehearsal dinner. They offered a prix fixed menu with three choices of entree for $40. The food was sensational-not to mention the awesome apps they surprised us with. Jenna, our wedding coordinator from the venue even pitched in that night on top of spending the whole day there with us the next day. She is superwoman and will make any bride feel calm, cool, and collective on their big day.

    We utilized the rooftop for our cocktail hour. Our guests were amazed by the views of the city as they sipped on their refreshing drinks. Perfect atmosphere. Then everyone was ushered down to the ballroom for the main event. Jenna and her crew even had us downstairs ahead of schedule. The ballroom space is breathtaking with floor to ceiling glass windows, marble flooring, stunning chandeliers, and the lucky Greek key adorning the ceiling. The dance floor in the center was the ideal amount of spacing. Jenna helped us figure our just the right floor arrangement for us. Finally, we ended the night in the G pub with wings and games. Our guests raved about it all night. The only thing that would have topped it off was if the G were the caterer. We know once they start catering their own venue, they are going to kill it! Also, since our wedding day, it has become popular and more expensive with demand. Anyone who is on the fence should know that if we had to do it over again and spend more money on the G, we feel it would absolutely be worth it (especially if Jenna is your coordinator)!

    We wanted a low key, casual, fun rehearsal for our family and friends who were traveling to attend our wedding. G Pub was a perfect place! We were able to rent out the back half of the restaurant with exclusive use of the pool and shuffle board tables for a very reasonable price. They were very accommodating during the planning process. The food was great and reasonably priced and the staff was attentive and friendly.

    Jewel of Providence

    I really don't even know where to begin with this venue and my experience here as a bride. The ballroom itself is STUNNING with tall ceilings and windows, original marble, and crystal chandeliers. It isn't the most traditional ballroom layout but the overall classic, elegant style makes for the best canvas for the ceremony and the reception. As for the rooftop: wow. We were lucky enough to have had the cocktail hour on the rooftop coincide with sunset. Beautiful. I got rave reviews about the hors'doeuvres from my guests too. The true value in this venue though, is in Rebeca. She was beyond helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process, and especially on the day of. We had some crazy ideas but Rebeca always found a way for us. She was super accomodating, responsive, and resourceful. I wish I could do it all over again just so I could work with her!

    The first time we saw the ProvidenceG we knew it was the perfect wedding venue for us! We wanted a venue that was architecturally interesting and the ProvidenceG offers three extraordinary spaces. The Rooftop allowed us to have an outdoor experience while still being warm on the 36 degree day. And their pizza and apps are amazing! The Ballroom was the perfect blend of modern minimalism and classic character. It allowed our vision to come to life and the guests never left the marble dance florr. We ventured down to the GPub after the reception which is a large industrial space that had plenty of room for the guest that wanted to continue the night. Rebecca was a gem – we really valued her opinion and she was able to help with all my questions and concerns. My friends and family were overwhelmed with how much fun they had and how unique of a wedding experience the ProvidenceG provided.

    Poor service and hors d’oeuvres

    While Lauren and Ashlyn were awesome to communicate with and hard working, other areas of staffing and food fell short.
    1. Rooftop, passed hors d’oeuvres hardly made it past half the room before trays emptying out, some guests told me they had to chase servers and at one point I didn’t see anyone out serving and had alert Ashlyn. Meat and cheese board ran out half way through cocktail hour with no replenishment. So EMBARRASSING , I talked to many guests who barely got an appetizer and didn’t get any cheeses or meat from stationary display.
    Ballroom bar backed up as I was very specific when I said I didn’t want to see this. Lauren jumped in and did the best she could, but the fact remains, they were short staffed and guests had to wait.
    Bathrooms were not kept up throughout the event.
    Based upon the hors d’oeuvres and service I would not recommend this venue.

    Disappointing Experience

    I just got married at the Providence G and it’s truly a beautiful venue. The rooftop is such a unique part of the experience and we feel so lucky to be married in the heart of the city! I would be remiss, however, if I didn’t provide a warning to future brides and grooms about the space: it does not have the capacity to keep guests comfortable during summer months.

    It was incredibly hot in the ballroom, to the point where guests left early. The fans do not provide adequate coverage and while we were assured prior to booking the space that multiple fans and misters would suffice–that wasn’t the case on Saturday. Only two fans were provided and everyone was sweating.
    Our wedding coordinator, who came as part of the contract we signed, was missing for the majority of our wedding. There were a number of issues that came up (lighting, the messiness of the bathroom, staffing of the bar) that her assistant (who was hidden in the lobby) was unable to help resolve.
    Moments before I walked down the aisle, our coordinator checked in about the cocktail hour bar menu, and it was wrong, which left me stressed during the ceremony. Additionally, she never once checked in on us during the entirety of the reception which was incredibly shocking given the messaging she relayed to us about “being there every step of the way” when booking the venue.
    About 15 minutes into dinner, the bar ran out of cabernet, Miller Light and prosecco. We ordered the premium package for our 125 guests, so we are still unclear how this happened.

    The food during cocktail hour was excellent (highly recommend the eggrolls and sliders!) and the rest of the staff was professional and great. We were just overall extremely disappointed by how our expectations for attentiveness to basic inquiries fell dramatically short during the reception. We would have booked a different venue if we knew how uncomfortably hot it would be and if we knew our coordinator would not be available during the most important day of our lives.
