Wedding make up
I had a practice session with Somi & was very happy with eye brows, eyes & lips. I wanted a little less foundation for the wedding. It was perfect! She is very professional & helpful throughout the entire process. My daughter, who never likes anyone doing her makeup, was very happy with it. -

Somi did an excellent job working with me to get the perfect makeup look. She is gentle and patient and amazing at matching skin tones. The trial was super helpful. I don’t usually wear makeup (kudos to her for doing perfect eyeliner while I blinked constantly) and it allowed me to see how a full face of makeup looks so I could pick and choose what I like. She did a great job of adjusting to my feedback and it looked fantastic on the day.
Somi also did a wonderful job with my bridesmaids and their various face shapes and skin tones (both light and dark).

Incredible
Somi was so incredible to work with. She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. She was responsive, attentive and incredibly talented. My makeup stayed out all night long and she understood my vision and executed to perfect. If you’re looking for a makeup artist I highly recommend Somi! -

I had the most amazing experience with Somi! I was hesitant going into my bridal trial after I had a horrible experience with my previous trial with another artist. Somi was so friendly, understanding, patient and took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted. The outcome was perfect and she made me feel so incredibly beautiful! On my wedding day, she provided the same amazing experience to my bridal party; everyone looked and felt so beautiful. I would highly recommend Somi for all your makeup needs! -

I am not one to use make up. The extent of my make up education is eye liner and lipstick. I’ve tried salons for make up in the past and finding the right person has been tough. Until I was referred to Somi.
I have used Somi for my engagement day and wedding day! She was recommended to me from a friend. As a Pakistani girl it is very hard to find the perfect make up artist for my skin. My fear (from experience) was foundation that makes me look ghost white or orange. The foundation Somi used perfectly matched my skin color. She accentuated my features and it did not feel heavy on my face nor did it look cakey. My wedding day was in August and it was one of the hottest days of the year for an outdoor wedding. My make up did not even need retouching! It lasted the entire day and night!
My make up was flawless. My eyes got lots of compliments on both days. All I’ve ever wanted was to have the perfect Smokey eye and she did it!
Thank you for making me feel so beautiful on such important days for me. I would definitely recommend Prommakeup by Somi any day and I will continue to use her for all my future events. -

I had Somi do my bridal make up. Her studio was convenient and well stocked. She reviewed her sanitation process which was comforting during covid. I had the make a few changes from my trial to the big day. She was responsive and took notes. I was VERY happy with my bridal make up. I received many compliments. It was also long lasting in June heat. I highly recommend Somi. -

Amazing experience!
This was all new to me -- getting make up done by a professional. Somi was so sweet and very accommodating throughout my wedding. She did such an amazing job with everyone in my bridal party. Would highly recommend! -

I tend to have some darker patches on my neck due to eczema. I requested my skin from my upper back, neck to face to all be fairly even. And Somi delivered! To me that's 💯😍❤️. She's timely, sweet and worth the tag! Thank you Somi! -

Photo shoot makeup
Somi did a wonderful job on my makeup for a photo shoot I was apart of. Her attention to detail was phenomenal! The quality of makeup she used was amazing also. My makeup held up for the photo shoot and for many hours afterward. Will definitely reach out to her for future photo shoots &/or events/wedding I have. -

During my trial with her, we took before and after pictures. which I loved (and are attached to this review). She starts out light on the makeup and goes darker based on your preference. I highly recommend a trial- I loved my trial makeup, but realized that the end result would be too dark for my wedding.
Somi will travel to you on the day of your event if you need her to, which saved me, my mother, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law a lot of time. She is friendly and communicative with her clients, and wants to make sure that you love the end result. I would recommend using her services to anyone! -

Kristin Sent on 01/27/2018I worked with Sowmya recently; she did my makeup for a photoshoot we both worked on together. She really wowed me and is a highly talented artist. As a long time model and actor I have had professional makeup often over the years and it was easy to see she is a lovely kind individual who takes her craft seriously and making the client happy is her priority. She would be a great asset on set for commercials, film, tv and stellar for your upcoming wedding, engagement session or bridal event. As a bride you feel alot of pressure to choose the right makeup artist because you know the photos are ones you will look back on for years to come. I remember being a bride and on that big day you want an artist that will make you look like you but the best version of you and who will listen to what specifically you want done for your special day. I’d highly recommend Sowmya!

This review is long overdue but well deserved. Somi was so kind and professional! I never wear makeup, I feel weird with it on, but she made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I felt like a barbie doll princess! I wasn't sure what I wanted for makeup since I never wear it but she helped me through the process. We even struggled with colors a bit in the trial but she took serious notes and on the day of walked me through each step to make sure it was ok! I was so happy with the results! I cried so much on my wedding day and the makeup held up very well. I did purchase the inexpensive touch up kit she offers with directions and it was worth it! Our pictures had been hours before our ceremony so it had to last ALL day. Somi was so flexible and fairly priced! I would definitely recommend her! -
