Amazing job!

I have been to three events with John as DJ. He was the one I wanted for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party. I was willing to change the date for our event just to have him (but I didn't need to). Highly recommended!

Best DJ Around!

We hired John to DJ our granddaughter's wedding and reception. He arrived well before his start time and was set up and ready to go. He played all requested music at the perfect time throughout the wedding and the reception. We couldn't have been more pleased! John is very professional and easy to work with. We highly recommend using his services and would definitely use him again if given the opportunity!

Best Day Ever!

John was very professional from the first meeting. He was early for set up and stayed until the end. I had a friend ask me later if John ever left the DJ booth, I found this funny because I don't recal ever seeing him not at his post playing music - Dedication to the love of his career. John has djed for me a few times. He plays the music to get the crowd up and dancing. He also plays all requests. I wouldn’t have any other dj. He is always set up and ready to go when expected and usually before. I highly recommend him for all entertainment needs.

John is truly a gem. I sent him my unreasonable wish list filled with spontaneous, mid-song switches for laughs and dramatic effect and he made all of my wedding wishes come true… and seemed happy to do it! We found John while he was working at my cousin’s wedding. We enjoyed him so much that we booked him for ours! His prices are the most reasonable I found, without sacrificing on quality! He created a great atmosphere. He also was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout the planning process and the day of! He is very kind and also thorough in getting your song choices and making sure you get what you want for our wedding day. I highly recommend his services and I will use him again if I ever have another event needing a DJ.

John was great to work with. He responded to email and phone calls in a timely manner and always very curious and respectful. We meat in person to talk about what we wanted and the conversation flowed very well. He was able to get a feel for what we wanted for our entertainment and was able to pick the perfect songs for our wide age range of guests. John was amazing! Our wedding venue owner recommended John with some pretty high praise, I wasn't sure he'd live up to all that she said, but he met and surpassed the praise! John is so helpful and thorough. There was not a a detail missed. He is very communicative and very easy to work with. He was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He played our list of favorites plus some favorites that kept everyone on the dance floor. He did a great job announcing us and making our first dance special. He has very high quality equipment that is evident in the sound quality as well a professional set up. You will not be disappointed when you hire John to be at the helm of this very important aspect of your wedding!

About the only thing that went wrong was that our first dance was the wrong version but it was absolutely perfect we made the best of it! He did everything exactly the way I wanted with the song list I wanted! The music was 10/10! He was so easy to work with and such a positive person all together!

Unforgettable Nights

Our Parish has been using Pro-Audio to provide the music for a few of our annual events for several years now. Two of these events are a Father & Daughter Dance and Marriage Anniversary Dinner/Dance. We are a bilingual parish and the anniversary dance covers a 50 plus year span of " First Dances", Pro-Audio has no problem fulfilling any musical request from the guests. Everyone has a great time and looks forward to coming back next year. I can't imagine having a celebration without them.

We were lucky enough to book to John 3 days before my daughters wedding due to an issue with our other DJ double booking himself. In my state of panic, John understood my panic and had fortunately had a cancellation and was open for our date! From the very beginning he was professional and always on the ball. The music for the ceremony flowed smoothly and was beautiful. The reception was loads of fun and tons of dancing. I highly recommend John!!!

Will Hire Pro-Audio for all our DJ needs

John Rutherford is so professional. He met with the bride(my daughter) about 30 days prior to insure he had the music she wanted, what she wanted played when AND he asked her the dress code to match the wedding. Ours was summer casual-Hawaiian shirts but he also has Tux if needed. He was so accommodating and played as long as we needed. He does not talk the whole time, he plays music. He assesses the crowd and makes sure they are having a great time. Well done!

Great Experience!

John was the perfect DJ for my birthday party! He was highly professional, responded quickly to any communication, previewed the venue a week before the event and was set up and ready to go way ahead of schedule. He played exactly what I requested and was flexible and accommodating when I asked for a few changes in the plan I established with him. I would definitely use him again when a DJ is required.

Best d.j. Ever!

I'm writing this to let folks know about the best D.J. you could have at ANY event! I've worked with John Rutherford in several different capacities, especially dances and weddings. He is everything you could want! He's been doing this professionally for many years. He knows how to accommodate all kinds of venues, people, and events. John was the D.J. for my daughter's wedding and I worked with him as the busy "mother of the bride". Whew! I was soooo thankful I had him taking care of everything! Recently I directed a wedding where he was the D.J. Weddings can be SO stressful. John is the least stressful part of the wedding! Anything he is involved in is "smooth sailing". He is so reliable and knows what he's doing! As the director of the wedding, I had SO many things to take care of! Thank goodness I had John there who was taking care of ME and helping insure the wedding was as wonderful and memorable as it could be! I highly recommend him as the BEST D.J. EVER!!!!

It doesn't get any better than John! The DJ was the one thing I was SURE about. I knew John would "take care of everything" and he did! From start to finish, anything to do with John, music, announcements, ETC... went great. He's done lots of events for a long time and he knows what he's doing. He knows what people want and has a knack for how to please everyone. The music and the "flow" were perfect!! We couldn't have had a better DJ! John is THE BEST!!! I would recommend him to anyone!

Looking for a DJ was not hard at all for us. John with Pro-Audio was the guy. He was awesome, absolutely amazing! He took the time to get to know us and was always just a phone call or email away with answers to our questions. John did the ceremony and reception keeping everything on track and flowing smoothly. When it came to hiring a DJ, my fiance and I were looking for somebody personable, fun, and could also offer some advice on how receptions flow the best. John fit all of these! From the very first meeting until our reception, John was super helpful, would answer any questions I had, and was just overall incredibly easy and fun to work with. He kept people out on the dance floor and really helped make our reception fun for everybody!

John was great! He made sure he was very prepared through talking with me multiple times before the wedding and was also very prepared day of. He went on his own to scout out the venue and how it would be set up. We had a pretty major snafu the day of the wedding with having to evacuate the venue an hour before the wedding, but we eventually got everything started, just a little late. John was able to roll with the changes very easily and also helped us keep everything together. He pretty much nailed the music based on the suggestions we gave him. I would definitely recommend John to anyone!

John was an awesome DJ. Previous posts have mentioned poor sound quality and the DJ being absent from the DJ booth, but this was not the case whatsoever for us, and he was a true professional. I received lots of compliments on the music during dinner, when he played a great set list of oldies and classic hits. He was extremely attentive and played all of our must-plays. He was a great emcee also. I highly recommend John of Pro-Audio. He is a very nice person as well as a talented and professional DJ who kept the tunes going all night long. The highlight of the night for me, aside from our special dances, was when he played some great, upbeat tunes for our fireworks show (this was a July 4th wedding). It was the perfect ending to a perfect night. Thank you John!

John was absolutely fabulous to work with. He always responded within 24 hours to every email I sent him, something I really valued during the planning process. He was incredibly professional and has lots of experience as a DJ. I emailed him a list of songs to be played at specific times, and he executed each of them perfectly. He even mixed a song for us so that when he announced the wedding party a certain part of the song played when he announced Josh and I. He did a great job keeping the dance party going, and was a fabulous DJ for our reception! I would definitely use him again!

John was quick to respond any time that I emailed or called him. He met with us a few weeks before the wedding to go over the final "game plan." He was extremely reasonable when it came to price. He played everything that we requested and played songs within our "rules." He helped keep the food line moving, helped us with knowing which part of the reception was happening, and just all in all he was a wonderful DJ and did an excellent job.

Ask for John! He DJ'ed and also basically emcee'd our wedding. He did both ceremony & reception music, and was able to pull some obscure things for us, including a snippet of audio from a YouTube video. He played a great mix of songs that got our guests moving, and even brought some lights to give our dance space a more club-vibe. Our venue was pretty rustic with an outdoor ceremony and he had great equipment (he also arrived plenty early to set everything up) that could accommodate both our outdoor & covered spaces. Seriously awesome!

My husband and I decided literally two weeks before our wedding we wanted a DJ. We had decided not to get a DJ due to our budget and the quotes we were getting were very pricy. I posted on many sites looking for an affordable DJ and got many recommendations, but Pro Audio was listed three times! I contacted John and unfortunately he was going on vacation but set us up with Brad or DJ Chili! Brad was very nice and worked with our music list. I will say we didn't have a lot of music decided but he helped us get everything in order. I also had a huge fear that no one would dance and it would be awkward but it was the complete opposite. Pro Audio Mobile DJ is very affordable and flexible, I would definitely recommend!

We were very pleased with our DJ (John)'s responsiveness in communication and willingness to work with our song edits and selections. We liked that he announced all the song request information we provided as well! We definitely recommend and would hire again for future events.

All of the vendors for my wedding were fabulous, with the exception of the DJ. There were two major issues- one, the professionalism was tainted with an unexpected change of contract to a different DJ less than 2 weeks before the wedding, from the owner to the partner. The second was the lack of professionalism and sound decision making by the DJ on the night of. The DJ was given a do not play list and continued to pull the bride aside during the evening to ask if songs from that list or genre were ok. The DJ was also asked to go through the wedding day of coordinator with questions- and had to be told several more times to not speak to the bride. Common sense would tell you when in doubt, don't play the song instead of interrupting the couple repeatedly on their night. With 20 years of experience, we expected way more than what we got from this DJ service. I am sure there are much more professional DJs in Knoxville that should be considered for your event.

I was not completely happy with this DJ service. Whereas, inital contact was great in setting up the event(wedding/reception) and all with the music selections, order of announcements, etc. And the DJ did play the requested music selections for our ceremony and special dances. However, he was found more outside the venue rather than inside. We didn't get a Mr/Mrs announcement when we entered the room for the reception. My bridal party had to go find him when we were ready for the bouquet and garter toss. He did not get involved at all with the guests. I feel that the cost was overrated for the quality of service that was provided. I could have just hooked up an Ipod!! I would not recommend this DJ.
