A Magical Experience
My daughter went to Princess Bridals to look for her wedding dress. The two stylists who assisted her were absolutely wonderful! They really know what they are doing! They make the day a very special one for the brides-to-be! I cannot say enough great things about Princess Bridals, but if you want an absolutely wonderful experience, this is the place to go! They really make it a beautiful and memorable experience!!! -

Excellent quality and service
THIS IS AND SHOULD BE YOUR ONLY ONE STOP TO SELECTING THE BRIDAL GOWN OF YOUR DREAMS. CHARLES THE OWNER IS 100% HANDS ON, AND ASSURED US OF SATISFYING ME IN EVERY WAY. HE MADE SUGGESTIONS TO ADD AND SUBTRACTY DETAIL TRIMMINGS THAT BROUGHT ME NOTHING LESS THAN HAPPINESS. THE ENTIRE STAFF HAD ASSISTED ME EVERY TIME I CALLED AND VISITED. THE GOWN WAS SUPERB AND ARRIVED TO ME WAY AHEAD OF THE EXPECTED DATE. HANDS DOWN THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO PURCHASE YOUR WEDDING GOWN. A+++++ I'D GIVE THEM 100 GOLD STARS. -

Amazing Experience
I passed by Princess Bridals everyday on my way to work for years and would always look through the window at their dresses on display. When the time came to find my wedding dress I knew I had to make an appointment at Princess Bridal. Princess Bridal was the first and only stop and I found my dream dress almost immediately. The sales women who helped me listened to exactly what I wanted in my dress, didn’t once push me to make a decision and kept me out of anything that I knew wasn’t my style. When my dress came it it needed minimal alterations and Chuck was along for the entire process while I used their in-house seamstress who was absolutely amazing! Couldn’t have pictures myself in anything else and I’m so grateful Princess Bridal was part of our special day! -

Great experience
Princess bridal was excellent. I was looking for 2 dresses they did not have in store and they ordered them in especially for me. They really helped me find my vision of what I wanted for my special day. They are a terrific store. Once I found my dress they even gave us champagne and let us keep the champagne glasses. They are so thoughtful. -

I said yes to the dress at Princess Bridal!
Today, I said “yes to the dress” at Princess Bridal! If you are a bride who still needs their dream dress, this is the perfect place to go! As soon as I walked in, Charles, Ally and Daniel greeted me with open arms. Charles is the owner and after walking into his shop, he immediately made me feel like family. This shop has been in business for over 50 years and it is clear why! Daniel was my bridal consultant and he was amazing! He asked me what I was looking for and came back with at least ten different options. After visiting about six different dress stores, this was by far my best experience. The dresses here are so unique and different. As soon as I tried on my Eddy K dress, I knew it was the best dress for me! I highly recommend Princess Bridal to all future brides! -

I had an amazing experience with this bridal shop. I went into their store and found the sales person so helpful and experienced. There was such a sense of hesty and value amongst the staff. I was so happy to get my dress here. The alteration department was impeccable and so accomodating. Im shocked by some of the negative reviews on here, seems like a case of the bridezillas.
In any case I had a wonderful experience with them and I would like to commend the owner and his staff for an amazing experience and beautiful dresses for my wedding day!!! Thank you!! -

My family and I had such a wonderful experience with Rebecca and Caterina at Princess Bridals. When we arrived to begin shopping for my dress, Rebecca was calm, helpful and positive. She helped me feel at ease as I tried on many dresses. She even pulled different styles that she thought I might like. I ended up purchasing a dress that she picked out for me. She was so accommodating to my mom, aunt and sister who were all shopping with me! Then, after I had spent hours trying on dresses, Rebecca helped my sister with bridesmaid dresses! When my dress came in, it actually came in to the shop in two colors. Rather than just give me the one I ordered, Rebecca contacted me right away so I could come and see both and pick the one I wanted. This was so helpful, because we ended up going with the different color. Rebecca was so accommodating and truly put the customer first. My dress arrived in plenty of time. When it came time for alterations Caterina did a phenomenal job! She too was patient, helpful and very talented! Both Rebecca and Caterina made sure my sister (MOH) and I looked my best on my wedding day!! Thanks so much!! I highly recommend Rebecca and Caterina of Princess Bridals, Farmingdale!!! -

I found my perfect dress at Princess Bridal. They had a great selection and at a great price. My dress package came with 2 cleanings, alterations, and a garter, head piece and a throw away bouquet all included in the price I paid. I was able to make payments over time and pay off my dress without having to worry about paying everything all at once. The only downside is that they do not take appointments and this place is always very busy, but other than that i loved Princess Bridal. -

Princess Bridals helped me stay within my budget and gave me a great deal on my wedding dress, which was a beautiful gown by Remy Couture. The associate was very patient as I tried on about 10 dresses. She chose one that was different than the pictures I had shown her, but I loved it and ultimately ended up choosing that one. I was disappointed because they did not tell me that the bustle was not included in the alterations, so I was surprised when I had to pay the maximum amount in alterations and then an additional amount for the bustle. The seamstress was a doll and made sure everything was perfect! -

I had such a wonderful experience with this bridal shop and I looked beautiful on my wedding day thanks to them!! I had a very small intimate wedding so I decided I would put more money into my dress then my original budget. They had so many dresses to choose from. In most places I had went to prior to Princess Bridals, I was overwhelmed by the pushiness of the sales people just because they wanted to make a sale and not really feel what I was feeling for my special day. The staff at Princess was amazing! They were so patient and even teared up with me when I found "the one". I thank them highly for making me so happy and also being patient and understanding with me! My cousin is getting her dress from them also and she feels exactly the same way as me!! Keep up the great work! -

Alterations
My dress was beautiful but for the amount of money for the dress and alterations I feel like it could have looked better on me. The bussell broke at the beginning of my reception and the top of my dress was swimming on me that it didn’t even look like anything was done. Like I said my dress was beautiful but for the amount of money for alterations I was very disappointed. -

I went to Princess Bridals because my sister purchased her wedding dress there the year before and had a great experience. When trying on the dress, I also had a great experience, and the price for the dress and alterations was a good deal. But when it came time for alterations, things sort of fell apart. I'm in a somewhat unique position in that I don't live on Long Island, and was only available during certain times. I made this very clear to the salon from the beginning, and was able to flex to a degree (e.g., for my first fitting, I scheduled it for a Saturday that worked for them, and then scheduled other wedding-related events around that). When I showed up for my fitting, I waited over a half hour to be seen, meaning I was late for all subsequent appointments. They also weren't terribly kind or apologetic about that--just heard "they'll be with you soon" for 30 minutes. When I went to schedule my second fitting, I was told they don't do fittings on Saturdays. Mind you, it's a Saturday, I am standing in the salon, and had just had a fitting. Also, why wouldn't you do fittings on Saturdays? Again, I reiterated that I live out of town, so Saturdays were kind of my only option, and they were able to work something out. Great! Except the day before my fitting, after I had already traveled to NY, I received a phone call cancelling the appointment (this is four weeks before my wedding). I was livid; if they really could not have made that day work, then they should have told me that upfront, or at least several days out, so I could make other arrangements. I definitely let them know how upset I was and, lo and behold, they were able to see me. I was unable to make it back for a third fitting, as they had suggested, and just hoped everything would work out. It did. The dress was beautiful, it fit well, and really, the seamstress is very good! But was it worth the headache? I don't think so. My advice: buy a dress near where you live!! -

I always wanted to get my wedding dress here ever since I was a little girl as I lived right around the corner from this store. When I went in for my wedding dress just my mother and , we met this wonderful woman named Terry. She picked me out 6 dresses to which none were them. When I told her exactly what I wanted (form fitting) she bought me three dresses and even helped me get into them in the dressing room. When I came out of the dressing room and saw myself I knew the third dress was it. It was such a sweet moment as she cried with me and my mother. The months following finding the dress were very stressful. Some of the staff (espescially the owner) was very rough around the edges. She proceeded to call me to tell me that the check someone in my bridal party wrote bounced. As a bride I dont want to know this. Terry moved to Florida before my dress came in but I am so thankful she was there to help me find it. I had the most amazing seamstress named Catolina. Had it not been for Terry or Catolina I would have went elsewhere for my dress. My dress was stunning I am still so in love with it and it was worth all of the madness and confusion -

Princess bridal was a good priced vendor. They are so busy that their customer services is horrible. However, I saved about 60% on my wedding dress. I also got my crown, veil, garder, 2 alterations, and a throw bouquet included with my dress.
I scheduled my dress to be picked up with the last alteration complete and when I arrived it had not been done. I just took my dress, only because it did not looked too big I needed to take it in about 2 inches. I left it like that because I figured I could use some confort the day of my wedding. -

My dress was beautiful this place had beautiful dresses but for working professional who is not available during the week for fittings or even the time they ended fitting time at 6pm most people get out of work at 6pm. Every fitting had to be during the week they could not work with you during the weekend so i was upset the could even have my dress ready for the time i needed it because of the tailors only working during the week.
I'm sorry i would not recommend this place to anyone unless they want to go through heartache. -

This review is for the Princess Bridals II location in Huntington Village. I came here for the Allure Bridals trunk show. I have loved Allure gowns for some time and I definitely wanted to try on some Allure dresses when I began dress shopping. The shop is located in the Main Street Shopping Arcade, and there is more parking in the back in the Gerard St. lot for anyone wondering. Making an appointment was easy, and when I arrived, along with my mom, and two friends in tow, the sales lady (Karen?) assisted me. In the end however, I think she was a little pushy, like a used car salesperson. She showed me a dressed that I fell in love with but was way out of my budget. In the end, I chose one that was just under my budget but I would have and should have gone elsewhere to purchase.
Once I did purchase my dress did not come in until 1 month before my wedding. I don't know what the issue was nor why it took so long for it to arrive (I ordered it in late November, 11 months before my wedding date). That left not much time for alterations and fitting. I had 4 fittings in total. I wasn't thrilled with the quality of service, thought I realized that the seamstress was overwhelmed with other October brides. That's out of my hands though. In the end the dress was close to perfect, and I was stunning (as far as everyone tells me!) so that's the most I can ask for, right?
I would recommend shopping around more rather than having to deal with this location again. While some of the people there seemed nice like they were trying, others just didn't seem genuine. I should have gone elsewhere. -

Def would NOT recommend. All of my bridesmaids had issues. I went in knowing what dress i wanted. It had a $700 price tag and my heart was set on it. Some how i walked out with a dress costing $2500. The seamstresses yelled at me and told me i dont know what i want with the alterations and i ended up pulling the straps up all night. Everytime i called to inquire about something they ignored me and told me theyd call back and never did. We ordered all the girls and bridesmaid dresses together. my flower girls dress never came, when we had ordered it they didnt have a sample of it but we had tried it at another store. a week after it was supposed to be there the second time i went in so the flower girls mom could go for her fitting and found my fgs dress on the rack!!! They must have been confused and put it out instead of on the side for me. I was furious and instead of admitting they were wrong and fixing it, they maintained that they were right and "ok fine, take that one and when urs comes in well just put that one out" Convenient that they decided they wanted a sample in my neices size and the same color i wanted... at the same time that i wanted it....
DO NOT GO HERE, UGH, JUST STRESS -

This place was horrible, but they had a good selection of dresses, so I ended up buying my dress there. The staff was as good as any bridal shop salespeople ever are. I went in twice with friends and they ignored me. When my mother came from upstate to help me they finally paid attention and weren't nearly as rude. The sad thing is that I probably would have bought a more expensive dress had they helped me on my own, but I'm rather glad they didn't get the commission.
The only true positive I will say is that they have excellent tailors. Excellent. Just keep a firm hand with them regarding how you want your dress altered for your train or they'll do whatever it is they want to do to it. -

Run. Beware.
WARNING: DO NOT EVER GO TO PRINCESS BRIDALS IN FARMINGDALE.
My future mother in law bought a dress off the rack there, for $250. It was a bit small so the owner suggested adding a satin panel and lace up corset for the back for another $150, which was fine! (The receipt said “add corset”)
When she went for her first fitting, the corset wasn’t in the dress. They scheduled her to come back for a second fitting and the receptionist said “we’ll have a quote for you when you come in next time”
She went back for a second fitting this week, and they told us it was $500 to sew in the corset and hem the dress.
This place is a total scam. They are completely ripping off the seamstress as well because there is no way she is making even half of that, as she works out of a dry cleaners nearby where we had to go pick up the dress.
We took the dress to a trusted tailor of our own who charged $150.
Not sure how people get away with this, but beware of this place as they prey on brides and their families because they know most won’t question or take their gowns elsewhere. Very unprofessional and greedy. -

This vendor only cares about money. Does not deliver in a timely manner. Trinity is rude, all he cares about is making a profit and the secretaries are as nasty as him -

WARNING: TERRIBLE! Princess Bridal's in Huntington NY, destroyed my brand new wedding dress (which I purchased from a store in Manhattan) Their alterations were SO BAD that I needed to buy another dress one week out from my wedding !!!!
I have only now decided to write "my first bad review" because Princess Bridals service and workmanship was so terrible!
I would highly recommend any bride to go to another more reputable Bridal store.
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED
I took my brand-new wedding dress to Princess Bridal's for alterations.
The girl claimed that altering the top bodice, and tailoring the length would be a simple task. I was excited, and I prepaid.
When I came back for my fitting they did NOT do what We had discussed. They cut lace out of areas that I wanted to keep. The seamstress also strangely decided to "get creative" and added flowers to the straps ....it was totally not my style at all.
Then the seamstress cut the length of my dress free-hand. She didn't bother to measure it evenly...and she accidentally cut my dress diagonally! It was 3 inches off the ground, so on the right you could see my feet!
Then they asked me to pay for them to fix it. They charged me for new lace, and fabric in an attempt to patch up their mistakes.
When I returned my dress was worse, and by this time my wedding was in one week! I could no longer wear that dress and needed to find a new one.
Not only did Princess Bridals destroy my dress (which cost me several thousand dollars) the owner refused to give me a refund!
I contacted my bank, and they asked me to provide a professional opinion on Princess Bridal's alterations. The professional seamstress said their tailoring was absolutely terrible and the lace that he sold me was "very cheap" and not worth the several hundred dollars he charged me.
Fortunately the bank did re-credit me my money, although the owner fought the whole process.
It was a truly Awful experience!

I had nothing but issues with this shop. THANK GOD I did not buy my wedding dress from them. Unfortunately, my bridesmaids ended up ordering their dresses here. I ordered one of my bridesmaids dresses 9 months in advance and I was assured that the dress would be in by the beginning of January. The dress didn't end up coming in until THE END OF MARCH. When I expressed to them that I was upset about when the dress came in, their response was "Well, then you should have ordered it earlier". 9 months is PLENTY of time for a dress to come in and they wouldn't accept responsibility or even apologize. The women who work there are all airheads and have no clue what they're doing or talking about. The fitting area is HORRIBLE, the hours are HORRIBLE and all of the "owners" are horrible. They only care about money and not the satisfaction of their customers. They also ended up charging my bridesmaids $80 for a hem. The alterations are capped at $85. So, even if the dress were 3 sizes too big and needed a lot of alterations, it would be $85. Can someone please explain to me then how a hem could be $80???? BRIDES STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place will cause you nothing but stress. -

I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this is one place that I would absolutely tell every bride to avoid. In fact, it's a place I've been looking forward to writing a negative review about.
I initially went to Princess Bridals because I found a gown in a magazine and it was one of the only places in the area that carried the Sincerity Bridal line of dresses. The store was able to obtain a sample of the dress for me to try on (which I paid for), but I didn't like the fit. Still, I stayed to try on other gowns. During that initial visit, I must mention that I was paired up with the most wretched salesperson I've ever encountered. She was super high-strung, didn't understand what I was looking for at all, and she gave me an over-the-top ridiculous attitude when I wasn't infatuated with every dress I tried on. She would throw her hands in the air and shout, "This girl doesn't like anything!" among other rants. My family and I basically tried to run our own appointment and ignore her. We pulled a bunch of dresses on our own, and I found one I loved and didn't want to part with. That's the only reason I dealt with them.
Then...a month after we placed the order for my bridal gown and left a hefty deposit, they called me to tell me that I couldn't get the dress! They said the designer wasn't making it anymore. Needless to say, I was furious. Being the low-maintenance person that I am, I didn't throw too much of a stink trying to get back the money to go to another bridal salon. Frankly, I didn't think I would have seen the money from the deposit if I'd asked for it back, though in all fairness, I didn't really try. Instead, I went in and found another dress. This worked out for the best because the second dress was even more perfect (and coincidentally happened to be a Sincerity Bridal dress), and I definitely felt beautiful on my wedding day.
I truly can't say enough how miserable the salespeople are at this place. They make you feel as if anything you need is an intrusion on their time and space. They seem to have zero interest in you or your happiness with their product, but they appear to love credit cards.
The only saving grace in this repulsive shop was one of the women in the alterations department. (I'm very sorry that I can't remember her name to mention it here.) She was reasonable and kind, and she did a really nice job.
Believe the other reviews. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Princess Bridals. -

Do NOT SHOP HERE. I repeat, do NOT go here!! First, let me explain the dinginess of the overall look of the place. Disgusting. Looks like you've walked into 80s prom nightmare - and it looks like they haven't cleaned the place since then, either.
Secondly - I won a free headpiece from them at a bridal expo a few months back at the Oceanbleau in Westhampton, NY. I was treated worse than I even have in my LIFE. Every single woman in that place had a worse attitude than the next. They said there was so proof that I won this - ok. I signed a book, spoke with the owner, and had a card in my hand. Really ? I'm lying about this? They acted as if I was a felon trying to rob them. Disgusting human beings.
These women are just awful. I even overheard a nice woman who walked in asking if there was any dress for the mother of the bride under $250 - The NASTY saleswoman said "OH god, absolutely not. No way". This poor woman was shut down immediately, and said awkwardly "oh ok, thanks anyway..." You would've thought this woman asked for the saleswoman's first born.
Overall, regardless of my situation, these women are awful. I'd never trust style advice from women who are wearing pajama jeans and Reebok's from the 90's. Stay far, far away. They should not be in the retail business. -

To be honest I wish they would close this store so that no other bride has to go through what they made my girls and I go through. I went there to get my bridesmaid dress and possibly my wedding gown. At first they were very nice but once I ordered the first dress it was like night and day. They put my down for ordering my veil at another store. They made my sister cry and then tried to get my bridesmaid to pay more for a dress that I had already paid in full and she walked in the door with to get altered saying there was still a 90 dollar balance on the dress. At one point they told me that I had to order my dress there because the designer was back logged and they would give me a discount because I ordered my girls dresses which turned out to be more than 200 more than what I paid for my dress somewhere else and at the other store the designer wasnt back logged. They were so rude to me and even yelled at me at one point. Please stay away from this place. -

I will never return to this business, nor refer anyone to it! Callie was the sales rep that kindly helped me find my dress; she no longer works there. I paid for my dress/alterations upfront in full. I came for the 1st fitting, Narita (the seamstress) had no clue a custom job was to be done in addition to alterations. She didn't have enough time we ran over by 30 mins (while the next customer was kept waiting). I returned in 2 hrs, so Narita could "eat lunch, see another customer and make a pattern" for the custom job. I saw a very angry customer with a large black stain on the dress. While the seamstress was fitting me in the room, an unhappy mother & sister of the bride (missing rehearsal dinner) WALKED INTO the fitting room and stood there yelling at the seamstress for not having completed the dress the day before the wedding. It's EXTREMELY unprofessional to allow customers into the room while you are changing or getting fitted! Narita stopped working on my dress, and after bickering, finishing their dress while I waited. At the 2nd fitting, I waited 35 mins past the appointment time, and was told Narita is finishing the dress, and to come back in an hour. I returned: she had not done ANYTHING in 5 weeks besides taking sides in! I had traveled 1 hour by PLANE to try a dress on that was 90% unfinished 4 weeks before my wedding, after waiting 1.5 hours! The manager admitted that Narita did not start working on the alternations in time, but she refused to refund me for the alterations. When I asked that the unfinished dress be packed up, Narita took all the pins out of the dress (undoing all the measurements we did for hours) and tried to sneakily leave out the ribbon to the back of the bodice!!! Had I not noticed, I would have had to go find a ribbon to strap the back of my dress! This business is operated by RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, CARELESS & UNORGANIZED people. -

DO not! I repeat DO NOT ever shop at this train wreck of a store. The owner of this "boutique" is a very rude, nasty woman who will absolutely try to rip you off. I bought my dress at this store as part of a Black Friday special. All of the alterations including the bustle were written on my receipt as included as part of the sale. Despite that the dress was on sale, it still cost several thousand dollars. I was happy to pay for the dress I wanted. The woman who sold me the dress (not the owner) seemed professional and nice at that time. I did not see her again throughout my interactions at the store. On my first fitting day, I opened the bag only to find that there were several large water stain and a large pull in the fabric from there it looked as though someone had zipped the dress accidentally into the bag! When I approached the staff about it, the told me to "relax" and that this "type of delicate silk satin combo fabric often has minor defects"! WHAT?!! They promised to fix the dress and that the stains would be removed by the next fitting. On the DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING, I arrived at 11am to pick up my dress. The old woman who owns the store was very rude when I arrived. She snapped at me when I told her only my first name. My dress had a large water stain on the front and the appliqués had NOT been sewn on! When I confronted the owner she said "relax you can hardly even notice it"!!!! I left the store without my dress as I had a rehearsal to go to. My mom returned several hours later to pick up the dress and was charged $217 for the bustle (included on the receipt!) and the stain removal. My mother was furious but paid her anyway as it was 6pm and I needed the dress for the next morning. When my mom looked over the dress she noticed that the flowers had still not been sewn on! There were pins holding them together!! She demanded her money back and the old woman pulled it out from her bra and threw it at my mother. I swear this actually happened. Unbelievable. -

DONT SHOP HERE! This bridal shop employee's the rudest people. I walked in the shop and I got " Yes?" Not a hi how are you welcome to princess bridals. No, right from the beginning the consultant was rude. Then, when I asked if I could look at some dresses she started laughing and said " you have got to be kidding. No one does that here." These people are very rude. I'd much rather give my service to David's bridal. -

I hated everything about this store. They were extremely unaccomodating and very very rude! They actually told me and my MOH that if she doesn't buy the expensive dress from them, that her dress would "fall apart at the seams as she's walking down the aisle". They were extremely rude after that too and are just disgusting people. Every single person that I spoke to in that store was rude and treated me like a child who doesn't belong there.
When I picked up my dress, it had 5 big wrinkles right on the front! When i pointed them out to the owner (the only guy who works there), he moved his head back and forth and left and right as if he couldn't see the wrinkles. Finally, he asked what i want to do about it and gave me attitude when i told him it needs to be re-steamed.
the alterations woman was very nice, but the room is disgusting (with pins all over the dirty carpet). i felt like i needed to shower after leaving that room!
i really wish i didn't go to princess bridals for my dress ... they added to much unnecessary stress and aggravation. They deserve even less than 0 stars! -
