  The perfect pictures!

  Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was so easy to talk to and work out all of the details. On the day of she was ready to help out in any way we needed (beyond the normal duties of your photographer) which was amazing! We were so anxious to see our photos - sometimes an unplugged ceremony means you end up unplugged all night and don't have many iPhone shots to get you through - and she definitely delivered. Our photos are so beautiful and we got to look through them and relive the entire day. I'd definitely recommend Pretty Pixels Photography (and have to a few people already)!

  Pretty Pixels did a great job at our wedding! Sarah, AJ, and Stacey were attentive to our needs and flexible as the day unfolded. Our photos look great, and we have these great photographers to thank. We would definitely recommend Pretty Pixels Photography to everyone.

  Sarah is amazing! My husband and I had a very small wedding and even though it wasn't a huge party, Sarah did a great job at capturing the big moments! She also didn't skip out on giving us SO. MANY. PHOTOS. from the day! Some photographers will only give you a select amount, but she made sure to let us choose our favorites! Don't think though that they won't be all high quality, the quality of her work is some of the best I've ever seen. I can't recommend her enough!

  We have used Sarah the last three years for our family for Photos. With that being said, I am a single mother with a teenage boy who does not always like taking pictures. Yet, each year my son is excited to see Sarah and review the photos she captures. Sarah is a wonderful young lady who is fun and creative. She is very passionate about art and photography. She is easy to work with, always accommodates my crazy busy schedule, and has our photos returned in a timely manner. I look forward to using Sarah in the years to come as my family may grow. I know she will help me capture many beautiful moments.

  We hired Pretty Pixels Photography for my son's wedding. Sarah Bucknam, the lead photographer, is quite artistic in the shots she takes. We had all requests for photos honored and she had ideas for many more. She spent lots of time at both the ceremony and reception and there was no "down time". It was one of the most on schedule weddings/receptions I have ever seen, partly because of the organization and planning from the photographer.

  We still look at our wedding photos with tears of joy in our eyes. Sarah didn't just photograph our wedding. She was a PART of it. As a photographer myself, I know that immersing yourself in the event is key to capturing the important moments. Sarah was up at the crack of dawn on the big day, following and photographing my wife as she prepared for the wedding. Not only did she capture all of the shots you'd expect--Melissa preparing in the mirror, mother helping with the dress, etc., but she got the raw EMOTION of the people involved. You have to look at the photos to understand just how well she did. And I hope you will look at her sample galleries. Her creativity is beyond anything else other photographers are doing, and this includes the established "big names" in the business. We ended up with imaginative poses and candid shots that, as I said when I started writing this essay, leave us laughing and more than one happy tear every time we view our wedding photos.

  Disappointed Overall

  Overall, my family and I were disappointed with our experience with Pretty Pixels. Sarah did offer us a $100 refund for our disappoints, which I appreciate, but the lack of communication & photos still left us disappointed.
  
  My main complaints are: it took her over 60 days to send me a single photo from the wedding - our contract stated 20 days. She never initiated contact, I had to reach out to her weekly to check on the photos. Because I hadn’t seen a single photo, I was terrified a memory card had corrupted or something happened to them.
  
  Also, the lack of posing/lack of quality in the photos. Sarah and her assistant were very nice to work with on the wedding day, but they didn’t offer much advice on posing for photos or moving us around. Upon seeing the photos, I was very disappointed to see many photos with my veil twisted, my dress tucked under my boobs, my hair messed up, or other small things that an experienced photographer should have been able to correct in the moment.
  
  We did get some good photos, but there were some gaps in the content as well. There are individual shots of the groom & groomsmen, but not of the bride & bridesmaids. There isn’t a single photo of me in my wedding dress alone - no bridal portraits. Which I guess is as much my fault that I didn’t notice on the wedding day, but again, you expect an experienced professional photographer to remember for you. My family is extremely upset there are no bridal portraits (but there are groom portraits).
  
  Overall, I’m left a little disappointed & definitely wishing I had a different photographer. Our experience wasn’t terrible, but if I had it to do over again, I would pick someone else.
