Beautiful and Perfect!
I'm honestly sad to mail my envelopes because they are so gorgeous I want to keep them! Annie was professional, flexible and so helpful! She was also super reasonably priced and completed my order very quickly. I wish I had more events for her to address envelopes for. I will certainly be using her again in the future! -

Annie is absolutely amazing! She was so professional, flexible, helpful, and I just cannot say enough about her! I have received numerous compliments about how beautifully our wedding invitations were addressed and I was so pleased with them! Annie answered all my questions, gave great advice, and made sure to get everything done within our timeline! I am hoping to use her again for our escort cards! Annie is truly one of the most talented people I know! I am a stationer and she is my first (and only) call when I need hand calligraphy addressing. Each order I ask her to complete is more gorgeous than the one before it. She is creative and masterful - even teaching herself a new font style to coordinate with the invitations. Her professionalism is unparalleled. She is timely and communicative - sharing proofs and asking questions about addresses when necessary, And just a kind soul. Highly, highly recommend!! -

I cannot say enough good things about Annie and Pretty Mail Calligraphy! I've used her for small projects throughout the years but this year I got married and used Annie for just about anything I could. From place cards to menus to our own personal love story art board (my husband's favorite!), Annie did a gorgeous job with all of it!
Trust me, don't spend anymore time looking for a calligrapher, illustrator, etc. for your wedding needs...just email Pretty Mail and you won't regret it! -

Simply put - Annie is the best! We met in college, studying Graphic Design together - - so I've known her conscientious work ethic for many years! Her lettering and illustrative talent is phenomenal; and her eye and attention to detail is impeccable. I'm so happy that we fell into the same niche world of events and invitations - I'm able to use her for any of my clients' calligraphy needs. Annie has a consistently pleasant attitude, which makes it a joy to work with and talk to her. We saw a small sample of her work in a magazine and just hired her to write our names for our invitations. She gave us a digital file of her beautiful artwork that I used in creating my own invitations. It worked perfectly. She was wonderful to work with and even responded positively to my little nit picks in changing certain letters to look exactly like the sample I had seen. Very responsive and very fairly priced!! -

We had a little issue with the envelopes that came with our save the date cards, but she suggested a navy envelope with white writing, and they turned out amazing! I've gotten so many complements on them, and one of my friends mom even saved it because it was so pretty. -

Annie Lloyd addressed the envelopes for our wedding invitations, as well as created the escort cards and signs for our reception. Everything was beautiful. Our guests commented on how beautiful the calligraphy was on the invitations.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Annie (Pretty Mail Calligraphy)! She is so sweet and incredibly talented! She helped my fiancee and I with table number cards, place cards and she even painted our ceremony program on a mirror for us! Her work is so beautiful! Originally my fiancee and I were planning on just having the program on the mirror for the wedding and then using it as a mirror in our home but we love the work Annie did on it so much we are going to hang it with the ceremony program still painted on there as memorabilia of our big day!

Annie was seriously amazing. I recommend her for any bride looking to have calligraphy done. Due to budget I went with the "Scripty Lettering Styles" instead of "Calligraphy," and the envelopes turned out better then I could even imagined. Once all guests RSVP, I will be getting my place cards written as well. I almost forgot to add, Annie hand delivered my addressed envelopes, since I was running short on time! Annie has been an absolute delight to work with. Not only is she very responsive and attentive to what look and feel you are going with for your wedding or project, but she will go above and beyond to exceed expectations! She is very professional and her expertise and skill definitely show in her passion for her work. We were working with a particularly difficult to mach shade of plum/Bordeaux/purple and Annie searched high and low in order to find that perfect shade. Once she had collected a few options she created samples using her own envelopes and mailed them to us so we could color match to the ribbon we were using to bundle our invites. When I received he sample she had also included a few other options that I hadn't initially thought of for the envelope calligraphy color but actually matched the font color of the invitation PERFECTLY. Even after the whole color matching dilemma had been solved Annie was able to turn them around two days later for us!! She is very kind and thoughtful and is very conscientious of ones wedding timeline to ensure you will have plenty of time to get your beautifully completed invitations in the mail on time! Thank you so very much for all of your time and effort! They're beautiful!! -

We worked with Annie for our wedding invitation and response card envelopes and could not have been more ecstatic about her work! We had a dark pink envelope, and Annie used a gorgeous gold pen to do a truly unique look that was both artistic and clean. We have gotten so many compliments and comments, and feel that when people saw these in their mailboxes, it just set the tone for our wedding! We used Pretty Mail Calligraphy for the addressing of our outer envelopes and were very pleased! We purchased the Scripty Signature Lettering Style and it looked beautiful on our envelopes. I had invested a lot of energy and money into designing the stationary, so I was very careful about hiring the right calligrapher. Annie provides incredibly beautiful and unique calligraphy services! I've never seen anything like her work, and knew as soon as I saw her website that I wanted her to do our place cards. Annie was very responsive and helpful over email, and finished our place cards (two sets, since we needed one set for the escort card table and one for each seat) remarkably quickly. I was worried about all the info that we needed fitting on the cards, but she got creative and accommodated everything perfectly. I found Annie on Wedding Wire and immediately fell in love with her unique calligraphy style. It is beautiful and has a very modern vibe, which is exactly what we were looking for. We first hired her to address the invitations. Each envelope was like a work of art! We had many guests comment on how beautiful they were. We then asked her to do place cards and some small signs for the reception. Again, everything looked fantastic!
Throughout this stress free process Annie was always quick to respond to emails and super easy to work with. Her turnaround time is also very fast. We did everything by email and mail with no problems. In addition to all this, her prices can't be beat! I would highly recommend Annie to any bride! -

I found Annie on wedding wire and emailed her, along with a few other people. Annie's prompt responses and (incredibly) fair prices won me over. I mailed her my envelopes and got them back VERY quickly. She packaged them very carefully and they were outstanding. So beautifully done. All of our guests commented on how much they loved the calligraphy. Some guests even saved the envelopes because they loved the way their names were done.
We decided on using a big, old, antique mirror for a seating chart and had a smaller mirror I wanted a phrase written on for the church. Annie completed both of them quickly and was SO easy to work with to get her the mirrors (the one is QUITE large). I couldn't believe how beautiful both mirrors came out. The seating chart looks spectacular. I really don't have enough words to describe what a great job Annie did. I can't wait until all of our guests see the seating chart! She is incredibly accommodating, even with all of my last minute changes. She is super responsive in emails and so easy to work with. Her work is impeccable. I would highly recommend her to any bride :-) -

Annie did the calligraphy for our invitation envelopes. She was friendly and responsive throughout the process. We ordered or invites online and had them shipped directly to her. A few weeks later, she sent us the box with the addressed envelopes. Couldn't have been easier! There were one or two mistakes, as is bound to happen when writing out strangers' names, but she promptly and politely provided redone envelopes for those couple. They all look beautiful, and we can't wait to share them with our family and friends! It's a more modern style than traditional calligraphy, which fits us just right. And the price was amazing as well. -

She was able to accommodate white ink on a darker envelope with no problem at all and at no extra charge -- something that many other calligraphers in the area would charge for. My fiancee and I handmade invitations for our wedding. When it came time to send out invitations to my wedding, the plan (or so the numerous books we purchased tell us to) write the invitations with our own penmanship. Neither of us had handwriting that would compliment the invitations. Thus, we had no choice but to research calligraphers in the DC area.
After a few hours of research, we were able to come to a couple conclusions: Most calligraphers were either too traditional for our taste, they were too expensive, and the turnaround time was just too long. Then we found Annie. The samples in Annie's portfolio were exactly the vision that we had in mind: unique, yet classy and full of life. We decided to email her. By morning, a response was in our inbox stating that she was effortlessly able to meet our deadline (and more importantly, within our budget).
We loved the finished product, as did the recipients. Multiple people even asked us for her contact information! Invitations aside, the outer envelopes were keepsake items for most. -

Annie is great! We hired her to address our outer envelopes which were dark gray and we could not print them on the computer ourselves. She was in Front Royal, VA at the time so I just mailed everything to her and she mailed it back when she was done. She is very quick and her prices are very reasonable. I loved the final product. The writing was absolutely beautiful!!! Many of the guests commented on how beautiful their envelopes were--so I was really thrilled. I would 100% recommend Annie to any other bride looking for a calligrapher for her wedding! -

I can' t say enough wonderful things about Annie at Pretty Mail Calligraphy. Her very original, precise, creative work was a real treat for our family and the talk of everyone who received our daughter's wedding invitations. The menu board Annie designed for us, the escort cards, table cards and every other little detail we asked Annie to do (even at the last minute...) were absolutely perfect, down to the best-matched color ink for each different paper. We used Pretty Mail for our invitation envelopes. Annie has such a unique and beautiful style - if you are looking for something elegant but a little funky, Pretty Mail is the place. Annie was extremely responsive, flexible and her turn around time was incredibly quick. Your order will arrive beautifully wrapped as well!
Our guests loved the envelopes as much as I did! Note to brides - make sure you ask for an envelope addressed to youself so you can keep it for your wedding scrap book -- I forgot to ask and I was kind of sad to see them all mailed away to our guests!

Pretty Mail Calligraphy was one of the best choices I made to set the tone for my black, red, and white winter wedding. This is a small, privately owned business and it was exactly what I was looking for. I tried to use all small businesses for my wedding becuase I found that they are very personal and easy to contact. I had one phone consultation with Pretty Mail to discuss the addressing of my invitations. We discussed ideas (on a Sunday) for my invitations and when I suggested that she put a red letter on each envelope, she became excited and said she loved creative ideas and doing things differently. The next day (Monday) I mailed my envelopes to her, and four days later, I picked them up at a convenient location for both of us. They were incredibly beautiful and creative. She selected one letter from each address to make red. Her unique, modern calligraphy was so beautiful. I had so many compliments from our guests. I received several texts and emails when our guests received them in the mail because they were so different and beautiful! -

I would describe her work as a sophisticated modern elegant twist to classic calligraphy.
When I discovered Annie’s (of Pretty Mail Calligraphy) unique style, I knew I wanted her to address my wedding invitations. Her style is an essential accessory to any envelope.
Many of my guests (and even my local post office staff) were intrigued and impressed by her natural talent. I even had guests comment that their envelope was “too pretty to open”. The tone of my wedding was set at the first glimpse of the envelope. I attribute that to Pretty Mail Calligraphy.
Annie is simply amazing to work with. She is passionate about her designs and was able to promptly address the envelopes so that they could be mailed.
I will use Pretty Mail Calligraphy again and again in the years to come. If you are looking for invitation addressing that is uniquely beautiful, Pretty Mail Calligraphy is your best option.

I just love Pretty Mail Calligraphy! Annie was a pleasure to work with throughout my wedding planning process. She did the calligraphy for my invitations as well as my table assignment cards. Her work is just beautiful - I did not want traditional calligraphy and she was able to do an architectural font that matched my modern invitations, and her traditional script for the place cards at the reception, and even a label for our card box. She was extremely accommodating and we were able to mail stuff back and forth easily since that worked best for our busy schedules, but we also met up for a pick up at one point too. She even was able to get an extra place card out to us the day before the wedding when a guest decided they could come. Annie was very thorough and called to confirm spelling when I had misspelled a name on my spreadsheet. She is a great value as many traditional calligraphers can be $1.50 a line, which just seems crazy. I would highly recommend and her work really made my invitations look like something special in the mail, and people loved their name cards - I am quite sad that mine was lost at the reception because it was so beautiful.
Calligraphy was a detail that I was iffy on at first, but my parents said I had to have the invitations hand addressed, and I'm so glad I listened and found Pretty Mail Calligraphy. As soon as I saw her website I knew that I had found my vendor - it's so classy/cute, you need to check it out. Thanks Annie! -

We were very impressed with Annie and Pretty Mail Calligraphy. She completed the addresses on our wedding invitations as well as writing our table numbers. Her style is not traditional, old school calligraphy, but the lettering is very cool and we were impressed with all her work. She was able to select a color pen that matched the color we used in our invitations and completed the work very quickly. She does work out of her house, but this helps her keep her costs low (it was almost the same price as having the invitation store use a printer to put the names on the envelopes!). She was very flexible and easy to get in touch with. All the calligraphy looked great and we were pleased with the entire process. -

I learned of Pretty Mail Calligraphy through a local blog, Ritzy Bee, that I follow. Before then I had looked at other calligraphy options, and found that is just wasn't in our budget. But Annie's prices are very reasonable and her product impeccable! Something that we weren't even considering, became one of my favorite details. Our guests took notice as well thinking the writing was too perfect to be hand done, and asking us how we printed the envelopes. Annie did such a wonderful job on my envelopes and escort cards! The calligraphy was beautiful and I received so many compliments. She was always prompt and responsive and I would recommend her to anyone who wants her calligraphy to make an elegant, contemporary statement. -

Annie Lloyd did the calligraphy for our wedding invitation envelopes, as well as the envelopes for the large reception we are having six weeks after the wedding. She did a beautiful job and we have received tons of compliments from family & friends telling us they LOVED the envelopes! Her style is very unique and fun, a fresh spin on traditional calligraphy. The calligraphy definitely made our invites stand out and added that 'something special' when guests received them in the mail.
Annie was great to work with - very flexible with me adding on names after sending her the main guest list, and she was very quick to complete & return the envelopes. Her services are very affordable and worth every penny. I gave her info to all of my engaged friends and rave about her any chance I get! :) -

Annie's work is one of a kind and we would highly recommend working with her. When emailing with her, she is quick to mention she isn't a classically-trained calligrapher. And she is right. What she produces is far more than calligraphy; it's almost an artistic form! We were so pleased with the job she did on our invitations and received so many complements from our guests that we also asked her to do our place cards. In addition to the quality work she produces, Annie is great to work with and very responsive and accommodating to your requests and needs. When managing all the aspects of planning a wedding, the last thing you need to worry about is dealing with a pretentious calligrapher. Working with Annie is easy and the end result is beautiful! Annie. Was. Amazing.
Her calligraphy is gorgeous, of course. But what was so incredible was how thoughtful, speedy, and quick she was. She had some pretty major personal events going on while I was inquiring about a contract, but rather than slowing her down, it (if anything) only made her quicker and more responsive. I mailed her 100+ invites, and two days after receiving the envelopes she had them back in the mail to me.
Once I had the envelopes back in my hand I just swooned! I love her style, and each was like its own mini work of art. The only difficult part was mailing them out and letting them go!
If you've done any research about calligraphy at all, you'll know Annie's prices can't be beat. Add to that her amazing personal touch and lovely work, and you get one of my FAVORITE wedding planning experiences to date! THANK YOU, ANNIE! :) -

Annie designed the save the date cards for our wedding. I wanted a photo of the church where we'd be married on the card, and she found the perfect way to incorporate it into the design. My sister loved her work, and asked her to do the invitations for my shower too.
Since then, Annie has been there for every new chapter in our lives. She did the invitations for my baby shower, our baby announcement, and the invitations for our daughter's Baptism.
Her designs are creative and original. You will truly get a one-of-a-kind design when working with Annie. Plus, she offers calligraphy services, which really complete the package. I highly recommend her.

Pretty Mail did an excellent job of setting the tone for our modern and elegant wedding ceremony. I received several compliments for the invitation envelopes!! We had ordered a blank ketubah online and she skillfully wrote our personalized text within the existing design. Her style and talent were impeccable and fit perfectly with the style of our ketubah. Annie was truly a pleasure to work with. She was great about answering my questions and making changes to names and addresses after I had sent her the envelopes and excel file with guest information. The invitations were beautiful. Several guests have already commented on how much they liked the calligraphy. There were only a couple of errors overall but she was really great about fixing them. She was also extremely accommodating about redoing envelopes where I had made a mistake in the excel file I sent her, at no extra charge. I would use her services again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend her highly enough. -
