Great experience!!

We booked Pretty Hair Salon for our wedding day hair and makeup and they were amazing! We had a large bridal party and they were able to start early for us and make sure we were done on time to stay on schedule for the day. They made our morning with them so fun, playing music in the salon and sharing our excitement for the day. And most importantly, every single girl absolutely loved their hair and makeup! Can’t recommend them enough for your wedding, book them now!

Fabulous Hair and Makeup

I couldn’t be happier with our wedding day hair and makeup results from Pretty Hair Salon! Sarah and Savannah were fun, professional, organized, and kept everything running smoothly and right on schedule. They brought everything they needed and were flexible to set up wherever we were comfortable. Sarah and Savannah kept the morning light and fun while they were working. I had crazy pre-wedding nerves, but the moment I sat down with Savannah to have my makeup done, I was instantly calm. She and Sarah both asked my opinion every step of the way to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted it. We all looked fantastic and every one of us was complimented on our hair and makeup throughout the reception. I would highly recommend Pretty Hair Salon to any bride. You will be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy every moment knowing you will look PERFECT on your special day.

Perfect and Pretty

I was a COVID bride and had to cancel my Florida wedding twice. I ended up planning my wedding in a week to be held in Pittsburgh and I couldn’t have been happier with Pretty and Too Pretty for all my bridal needs. They fit me in to get my color done within that week and then did my and my mom’s hair and makeup on the wedding day. All of the stylists at the salon that day were so nice and happy for me and it felt like family. We both left feeling so Pretty and couldn’t be more thankful for Dom, Heather, Kylie P and Jen!

Best Choice of my Wedding.

Pretty was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I have challenging, curly thick hair and it looked elegant and flawless. My makeup was perfection. I felt like the best version of myself. Top Notch Beauty!

Pretty Hair Salon will make you look fabulous on your dream day!! I used Kala and Amanda for my wedding and I could not be happier with their services! They are so professional and are top notch when it comes to today's trends. They will make you look BOMB! I had so much fun getting ready with them, as they are very easy going and easy to talk to. They will make you feel so comfortable on a day when your nerves may be getting the best of you! I highly recommend doing a bridal trial prior to your wedding day. That way you all know what to expect the day of. There will be so many things going on that day. Knowing what your hair and makeup will look like will make you feel more relaxed. I don't even know where to begin. I've been going to Pretty for about a decade and always see Kala for any and all of my hair requests. Not only is SHE amazing, but the whole team at Pretty is trained and extremely professional, reasonable with pricing and observant to everyone's needs/wants. I've never left unhappy or felling less than "pretty" ;-)

When it comes to wedding hair and makeup, they couldn't be more accommodating. I recently got married (May 2021) and thanks to Pretty, felt the most beautiful I've ever felt in my life. In true 2020 fashion, I had a last minute date change due to COVID and Pretty/Heather didn't skip a beat to keeping my requested stylists and keeping everything smooth for me during an extremely high-stress situation.

I recommend everyone I know to go to Pretty if they're looking for a wedding salon or a new salon, in general. If you're lucky like me, the stylists will become your friends and every hair appointment just feels like hanging with friends!

Above & Beyond - As Usual!!

I've been going to Pretty salon for YEARS so it was a no brainer when I needed my hair and make-up for myself and my bridal party for our wedding. November 2nd 2019 Wedding

I have been going to Pretty Hair Salon for about four years now so when I get engaged it was a no-brainer that I was going to hire them to do my hair and makeup. They sent a team of 3 people down to my venue to help get me and my girls ready and they did a phenomenal job! I looked and felt incredibly gorgeous on my wedding day and my bridesmaids had a blast getting their hair and make up done. I would 100% recommend them to anyone who is even considering hiring them for their wedding.

If you're looking for a great group of ladies to come do hair/makeup for your wedding (and have fun at the same time), Pretty Hair Salon is your place! I can't say enough good things about the Pretty team!! I've been going to the salon for years, and I recently had the ladies come out to do hair/makeup for my wedding. Incredible!!!! Ina did hair for me, my matron of honor, and my mom on my wedding and we were all absolutely BLOWN AWAY! Her attention to detail and ability to collaborate with her clients to figure out exactly what they want and the best way to execute it is phenomenal. Not only did she deliver three gorgeous hairstyles that looked amazing, felt comfortable, and stood up to a full day of festivities on a humid September day, she is also an absolutely charming person whose passion and joy for her work is infectious! The little gift bag and card from the salon was also so sweet and such a special touch. Cannot recommend Ina and the whole team at Pretty enough!!!

I have been getting my haircuts at Pretty for almost 10 years, so of course I had to use them for my wedding! Kayla did a beautiful job with my hair! She made my half-up style feel secure without being uncomfortable, and it stayed in throughout the evening. And Amanda did an amazing job with my makeup! I use very natural beauty products, and she let me bring in my own makeup and was great about working with the products that I wanted to use. I loved the colors that she chose! She used just the right amount of intensity with my look so that I felt like a bride but still felt like myself. Best salon around!

I can't say enough about this salon. I booked late, but I had a small party and luckily they were able to squeeze me in. The day before my wedding I decided to change the location where I was getting ready. They accommodated this. I was 15 minutes late and they didn't show a sign of frustration even though our timeline was already tight. That alone just makes them heroes!
But wait! My hair. My hair, ladies, was so perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined. I did not do a trial because I booked so late and they listened so carefully to what I wanted and made it happen. My stubborn-straight, thick heavy hair stayed up in a low bun for the entire ceremony and much of the reception. Even as it came lightly undone--which cannot under any circumstances be avoided with my hair-- it looked beautiful. The curls held and I looked like a princess all night. All 3 of my bridesmaids looked beautiful. My sister chose a complex-looking braided style and it was gorgeous and held all night.
My makeup, oh my goodness, was also amazing. They made my sometimes droopy-looking eyes look wide and incredible. The highlighting and contouring was perfect and not overdone, and I was so so happy. Again, no trial and it was still exaxtlt what I dreamed. I would recommend them to any bride. I'm so grateful I found them by total chance.

Kara is a fabulous, fun stylist and I highly recommend her for any bridal/prom/special occasion updo! She does fantastic work and was able to almost exactly replicate the picture of what I was looking for for my wedding day hair! When I first did a trial and showed friends and family the picture I had from Pinterest and then the picture of my hair after she did it they were amazed! I even had one of those Halo hair extensions to help get the look I wanted and she got it spot on! The day of the wedding she came to my hotel room to do my hair and my two bridesmaid's. She arrived on time (even a little early), made minor changes to a couple of requests without a problem, and completed everyone's hair in plenty of time. My bridesmaids and I loved their do's and couldn't be more pleased with their work. She did a fabulous job making everyone feel pretty on my special day! Heather B. and Bri from Pretty Hair Salon were amazing. I had my wedding day hair trial with Heather and it was fabulous. Booking Pretty Hair Salon for my wedding was an outstanding choice for my wedding. I’d been in several weddings over the years and been unhappy with how my hair had turned out. Pretty Hair Salon was an EXCELLENT choice for my wedding beauty needs. I had an trial run of hair and make-up with Valerie - she was fun, easy-going, and does beautiful work. One of the best things about Pretty Hair Salon is that even though my wedding party was small (4 total), they still came to the hotel to do our hair and make-up. It is such a nice service and helped to ease my stress on the big day. On my wedding day we had Valerie and Heather for hair and make-up. They were prompt, efficient, and even allowed me to make a couple of changes from my trial run. We all looked absolutely beautiful that day and I credit Pretty Hair Salon.

Pretty Hair Salon ensured that myself, mother, and 10 bridesmaids were nothing short of perfection for the big day! They were accommodating, professional, but beyond that they were caring! The girls I worked with were Kala, Kylie, and Amanda! Kala did my hair and she was beyond incredible, she is an amazing stylist but also a great person making the getting ready process fun. Amanda did my make-up and I have never felt or looked more beautiful, she listened to all my concerns (since I am semi-self conscious regarding some of my facial features). Amanda was also such a great person to have there. The three ladies had us laughing and smiling and looking like one million dollars. Kala and Heather B. did hair and makeup (respectively) for me, my bridesmaids, and my mother the day of my wedding. They were on time, did amazing work, and on top of that, were a lot of fun to hang out with as we were all getting prepared! They both did a perfect job creating the look that everyone asked for, no matter how many (or few) details were given by us. Everyone's hairstyles and makeup lasted long into the night, never once needed touched up, and photographed beautifully.

I could not be any happier with the services they provided! Everyone felt and looked amazing, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for special event hair and makeup!

Pretty hair salon provided make up and hair services for a friend's wedding I was in and they did a fantastic job so I decided to book them for my own wedding. Solid decision. I would highly recommend using Pretty Hair Salon. I had Kara and Shea doing hair and Amanda doing make-up. Amanda can make you look like a whole new person with her airbrush make-up techniques. She is phenomenal. Shea and Kara exceeded our expectations with their creative and unique hairstyles. It is so nice that Pretty Hair Salon travels to you. They traveled to the White Barn for my wedding and did 8 people for hair and 7 for make-up in 4 hours. They take their time and make you look absolutely beautiful. Their prices were really reasonable as well for the high quality of work that they do. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENDOR!

We had Kayla, Heather B, and Kara come to the hotel room and do hair and makeup. They were seriously amazing to work with. You can tell they really know what they're doing. They just cranked through 7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and myself with ease. Everyone looked so beautiful. What was most important though is how great they are to work with. Fantastic customer service. They were great to hangout with too! And that's so important to consider because they'll be spending several hours with you the morning of your wedding, you want it to be fun!

I cannot say enough good things about Pretty or the girls who work there. I was referred to Pretty by a co-worker as I was having a difficult time finding hair and make-up stylists for my September 5th wedding. From the second I walked into Pretty for my trial I just had a really amazing feeling. Amanda did my make-up and she is seriously such a sweet person. She does an amazing job at making the airbrush make-up look flawless yet completely natural. Kala did my hair trial and I loved how kind and genuine she was! Plus she actually listened to my vision of what I imagined my wedding day hair to look like and delivered 100%.

On the day of the wedding, Amanda, Kala and Jordan arrived at our hotel promptly at 8:30. They set up and got right to work. I was really nervous on the morning of the wedding, but the girls were so much fun and did their best to set my mind at ease. They did an amazing job on all 7 of my bridesmaids, mother and neice who is only 18 months old. I have to say my bridal party looked spectacular! I am so so so so happy I found Pretty. There is nothing better than working with vendors that you really love on your big day. Book with Pretty, you won't regret it!!

Sammy Colton did my make up for my wedding. I went in a 2 weeks prior to my wedding for a hair cut and just started small talking with some of the girls, one of them being Sammy. She said she did make up and would take me at whatever time I needed as a lot of the girls were going to be out on another wedding. From start to finish - trial to day of - it was perfect. I get nervous with makeup, I don't wear a whole lot and I didn't want to look like a clown or painted. I was none of that! Sammy made me look and feel beautiful!

I was concerned since we got our makeup done at 8:15 in the morning that it wouldn't stay on until my 3pm ceremony let alone the reception. My makeup stayed on, looking fresh and flawless until the end! I danced all night and did not look or feel like my face was running or I was loosing make up. She was FANTASTIC!

I've been going to this salon for a couple of years. I booked my wedding about a year ago. When booking your bridal party receives 20% off services until the wedding. Now, one of my friends drives an hour to get her hair done here. Shea and Heather B did our hair and makeup. For months before we tossed around ideas and they were so helpful in deciding how to wear my hair. I even had my engagement photo hair and makeup done by them! Everyone in my party looked great and we received lots of compliments. I can't say enough about this salon. Everyone is so nice and you can tell they work well together and value their customers.

Pretty in Pittsburgh did my hair and make up for my wedding, as well as my 3 bridesmaids, my mother and my mother-in-law. Before I talk about the details, it's important that you know that I worked with Amanda and Shea and they were rock stars. I mean seriously, the sweetest, funniest, calming team of professionals you could ever dream of having for your wedding.

I was an out-of-town bride, planning our wedding from my home in Chicago. Prior to the wedding, I did a hair and make up trial in Pittsburgh, and the salon was incredibly organized. Additionally, during the trial, the girls were encouraging me to speak up and share any thoughts I had. Amanda and Shea assured me that, if I had a change of heart closer to the wedding, everything could be adjusted.

On the wedding day, at 9 AM on the dot, Amanda and Shea walked into our hotel with bags and curling irons all ready to go! I was setting up the room and they took a couple tables, outlets, set up chairs and said, “Okay, who is first?”

Each one of us jumped in a chair and enjoyed our time with Shea and Amanda, laughing off any of the nerves that were starting to surface. All the girls were thrilled with how their hair and make up turned out.

My hair and make up was done exactly the way I fell in love with it during the trial, and I was over the moon. Shea helped me with my veil and showed my sister, my maid-of-honor, how to keep it in and take it out when I needed to later on in the night. Amanda showed me and my sister how to handle my make up when the inevitable first tear ran down my face, which I must admit started only minutes after I saw how beautiful my hair and make up was (I am such a wimp).

I’d recommend Pretty in Pittsburgh to any bride getting married in Pittsburgh. They do amazing work, are incredibility professional, have people working for them that have fantastic personalities and most importantly, great people who will take care of you on a day that you’ll never forget.

I could not be more happy of the services provided for me, my mom and my bridesmaids by Pretty Hair Salon. Amanda, who did the makeup, and Dom, who did the hair, are both amazing artists in their own right. They both made all of us feel so beautiful and we all had a great time while getting ready. My (now) husband could not get over how amazing my hair style looked that day. He still talks about it to this day. My makeup lasted all day - even when I cried during our vows during the ceremony. We received our photos and the make up enhanced my appearance but I still looked like me. This vendor is highly recommended!

I know when trying to find someone to perfect my wedding day look, I was a little stressed! To me, this was going to be one of the most memorable days of my life and I wanted to look my best. Amanda Bamrick was absolutely instrumental in making this happen. I really was not sure what kind of look I was going for with my make-up. I did not want to look “overly” made over, but wanted something special for the day. Amanda was awesome to work with. She really took the time to find out about the venue, reviewed pictures of my dress, and made recommendations regarding eyeshadow colors and lip shades that would work well with my skin tone and coloring.
We did a trial make-up run at Pretty Hair Salon and she spent the time with me going over three different wedding looks. We starting with a light natural look and progressed into what I considered to be the perfect look for our wedding day! She was so great to work with. She is so sweet and really put me at ease. I really enjoyed her sense of humor and she made the trial really fun. She gave me some tips on how to keep my makeup looking great through the day and I was really impressed with her work! I wished I could make my makeup look as good as she did myself!
The day of the wedding, Amanda came on sight to do my makeup and I was feeling the pressure. It was so great that she came to me and I did not have to run around back and forth to the salon and wedding venue. Not only the wedding day jitters, but I wanted to have a little bit of a tan, so I spent some time out in the sun…. well, I failed to remember that I tend to burn quicker these days and ended up being bright red! Amanda assured me that she had everything under control. She definitely worked her magic because THANKFULLY when she was finished, you could not even see the sunburn. Instead I felt like I had the glow I was going for! I felt absolutely beautiful and it was evident that Amanda knows what she is doing! We took some wonderful pictures!

There are no words to describe what a wonderful job this salon did for my wedding. Kala and two other stylists did the hair for my bridal party and mothers. They came to our site and set up their own mini salon! They were very professional and easy to work with. I contacted the salon initially through a phone call and then through email with Kala. The process was very smooth and easy. They gave me prices up front and answered all of my questions. I did a "mockup" updo with Kala in the salon a few months before my wedding which was beautiful enough to wear to my wedding. My bridal party either gave the stylists pictures or an idea of what they wanted done with their hair and every single updo was unique and gorgeous! These ladies did a fabulous job and I highly recommend them.

Pretty Hair Salon was wonderful to work with for my wedding. My hair trial went well and Kala (in charge of coordinating weddings) ensured that she did my hair in a manner that she could make changes easily during the trial and for the actual wedding day. Kala then knew what we needed to change for the day of and ensured that we were on the same page. My hair turned out so great for my wedding day. Even my bridesmaids were commenting on how much they loved their hair, sometimes even more than their own wedding hair. I would recommend Pretty's services to anyone. I did not use them for makeup but I have no doubts that they would do a fantastic job with that well.

First things first, I cannot even begin to say enough great things about this salon! I recently got married and used Pretty Salon for hair and makeup. I specifically worked with Kala and Amanda. They did my hair trial and make up trial on the same day so I could get an exact idea of what it would look like. The salon is beautiful and everyone there is so happy and friendly! (I am actually leaving my old salon and I'm going to start going to Pretty for everything-I had Kala do my highlights before the wedding also and it turned out gorgeous!) I had a previous hair and make up trial before finding Pretty and they did not go well. I am a very picky person when it comes to hair and make up - I've never let anyone do my make up before because I'm so specific, so I was getting stressed out-until I found Kala and Amanda! I showed them 1 picture of what I liked and they did exactly what I wanted. I had 6 bridesmaids who all got their hair done, many of them got their make up, along with my mother, and I had the airbrush make up and hair. Kala and Amanda came to our hotel suite the morning of the wedding and busted their butts! Everyone was ready in time, and everyone LOVED their hair and makeup! It's rare to please everyone in a group that large, but they did it. I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out! They were the perfect mix of professional and fun. I recommend their services to everyone-even if you don't have an event coming up, just go to their salon! I really can't thank you enough Kala and Amanda - you girls are absolutely awesome!!!

I had Pretty do my nails (gel mani/regular pedi) for both my shower and my wedding day. Kara is amazing! She makes you feel so comfortable and pampered. It was luxurious!! Shay and Heather B. were our on-site hair and make-up artists. They were AMAZING! They created a relaxing and fun atmosphere and provided myself, 2 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls with hair and make-up that was fit for the red carpet. All of us could not have been more pleased with our looks. As the bride, I could not have asked for anything more. I have never felt more pampered and more special in all my life. Pretty Hair Salon did my hair and makeup for our wedding. Since it was just myself and my maid of honor, we went to the salon so I can't speak for their on-site services. But the salon experience was fantastic! It was such a chill place and we had a great time hanging out. Val did my hair, and she's a genius. She was able to do exactly what I had in mind and it stayed in place all night (which is saying a lot for my hair). Carley did my makeup, and she just killed it. She made me feel so beautiful without having the appearance of too much makeup. A lot of people at the wedding stopped me to compliment my makeup. They were also very affordable as far as bridal hair/makeup goes. Right around the middle, price wise. But the type of quality hair and makeup you get for that is awesome. Thanks Pretty!

Pretty in Pittsburgh did a fantastic job. They provide on location hair and makeup services, but also have a salon in the north hills for hair, makeup, nails, massages, and facials. Their prices are reasonable and their staff is extremely talented. They offered a discount on salon services from the day we booked until the day before the wedding (minus the trial run), which was a big help. Everyone in my bridal party looked amazing on the big day. I plan on using them as my new regular salon, and would book them again in a heartbeat for any big occasion.

I booked my hair and makeup almost a year in advance of my wedding because I wanted to look perfect. After searching the area for someone who did both hair and makeup on site, I found Pretty Hair Salon. I booked with Kala and Amanda who were absolutely fantastic. They were so friendly and made sure I was comfortable with every aspect of my hair and make up. Amanda even came in to the salon at 6am on a Sunday to do my makeup trial so I could have my make up done for my engagement pictures.

Since I had 5 bridesmaids, myself, and my mom all getting hair and makeup done, Kala brought another stylist; I believe her name was Sarah, to make sure we would finish on time. Everything was so organized and we finished right on schedule. I changed my hair from my initial hair trial and it turned out absolutely beautiful. Kala was meticulous and you could really tell that she cared about you. Amanda did a great job on everyone's make up. She knew exacctly what look to give on each girl. I felt so absolutely stunning all day.

They did all the hair and makeup on site and it was so convenient. Since we did a lot of DIY, it was perfect having my bridesmaids help set up the reception space in between hair and makeup. Starting off the day with such ease and organization definitely helped make the day run smoothly.

The girls from Pretty were AMAZING! They were on time and on top of everything. Everyone at Pretty was amazing to work with! I was recommended to them by my cousin who had her wedding scheduled with them a few years ago and I could not be happier with my choice to go to Pretty as well! My trial was the perfect way to consult with Heather and Carley to make sure everything would run smoothly on the wedding day.

Heather did my hair as well as my bridal party's and my mom's, and Carley was our make-up artist. Our guests were commenting on how great everyone looked all day long. One of my bridesmaids was worried that her hair (she just had it styled, not an updo) would not last all night and was contemplating putting something in her hair to keep it off of her face. Her hair never fell! All of my girls looked amazing and I have never felt more beautiful!

Kala and Dom did my hair, my mom's hair and 6 bridesmaids hair for my wedding. Everyone looked amazing! I did a trial a few months prior with Kala and she is just awesome. She worked with me for over an hour until I was 100% happy. On the day of the wedding they showed up on time, were so pleasant and friendly and did a beautiful job. I got so many compliments on my hair and someone actually came up to me at the wedding and said "your bridal party has the nicest hair i've ever seen!". They came to the hotel where we were getting ready and although it costs a little more, it was worth it! They even waited around for everyone to finish their makeup too to do any last minute touch ups that we needed. I am so glad I chose Pretty for my wedding day! I liked them so much that I think I will be using Kala as my regular hair stylist from now on! :)

Pretty Salon was recommended to me and my wedding party by my wedding plannner, Ashley, at Hello Productions to have our hair and makeup done on the day of my wedding. Kayla was our hair stylist and Amanda was our makeup artist and they were both fantastic. As the bride, I had a trial at their salon ahead of time to see what my hair and makeup would be like on the day of the wedding. It was so much fun to do and Kayla and Amanda were great to work with on ideas. The day of the wedding was less stressful because they came to my home instead of all of us driving to a salon for hair and another place for makeup. We didn't have to worry about the weather or being delayed with an appointment. Being able to be at home for the moring of the wedding was so enjoyable and comfortable. Kayla and Amanda were professional, experienced, patient and friendly which made for a fun and positive experience for all of us. My bridal party of three and my future mother-in-law and I all had beautiful hairstyles and makeup- They definitely made us look and feel exceptionally Pretty for my big day!

Valerie and another sylist from Pretty did my hair for my wedding day as well as my mother's hair and 5 bridesmaids. The stylists and makeup artist from Pretty Hair Salon were excellent to work with. They came to our wedding venue for our convenience, were on time, were willing to stay later when several of my bridesmaids elected to have their makeup done in addition to their hair (though they initially had chosen only to have their hair done). They were professional, patient, and a lot of fun to work with. My bridesmaids all looked stunning and I was thrilled with my hair and makeup. In addition to their excellent work, the salon provides discounts on services to brides leading up to the wedding. The salon itself is a great place to go for everything from getting your hair styled to spray tans. I could not have been happier with the service we received from Pretty and highly recommend them to any bride!

Pretty in Pittsburgh was the perfect choice for hair and make up the day of my wedding. They were able to come to our hotel and provide hair services for 11 people and make-up for 5. They were early, professional, great at their craft, and personable as well! Their prices were very reasonable and having them come to us saved both myself and my bridal party a lot of stress. My "Team" arrived at the hotel on time and made me and my girls feel like movie stars! We got our hair and make up done. By the time I was getting my gown on, they felt like part of the bridal party! Amanda did my wedding makeup and she was wondeful!! Did an awesome job and was very accomodating. Loved how she did all of our makeup. Would definitely recommend!

Amanda did our makeup for my wedding and I couldn't be happier! She did a beautiful job. Everyone looked so amazing! She had so many great ideas and allowed me to chose the colors that I wanted. She made all the girls and myself look better than I could have imagined! She came to the hotel the morning of the wedding. She was punctual and so much fun to work with! We all did eyelashes and they look amazing in all the pictures. She made me feel so amazing on such an important day! My husband couldn't believe how beautiful I looked! The make up lasted all night long even through all the tears and dancing! I wish she could make me look so amazing everyday! She truly has a talent! I can't thank her enough!

Kala was awesome! She managed to do everyone's hair differently so everyone got their own hairstyle, and they all looked awesome. Noone knew what they wanted, so it was all up to Kala, and everyone ended up happy. Pretty Hair Salon had reasonable prices and I am so glad that I used them.

I cannot say enough good things about the ladies at Pretty Hair Salon. I was lucky to get an appointment for my wedding last minute, by some miracle, because these women are booked into 2014 already, and I can see why.
I had 8 bridesmaids in my wedding, and I really wanted to get hair and makeup artists to come to the house- mainly so we could all relax and not have to worry about leaving to go anywhere the morning of my wedding. It was amazing! Everyone got their hair done, and every hairstyle was unique and so amazing. It always gives me anxiety to get my hair done for something, because you never quite know how it will turn out. Everyone was beyond happy with how they looked. The hairstyles were exquisite.
Originally I was going to be the only one to get my makeup done, and I knew I would love it because we had a trial appointment a couple weeks before. Nobody else wanted to get their makeup done because they were nervous about it. I think it is safe to say that everyone usually is more comfortable doing their own makeup the way they know they like it. It turned out that on the wedding day everyone decided to get it done. They were all thrilled, and I never have seen my friends look so beautiful. I was so happy everyone decided to get it done, because it made them all more confident and looked great in my wedding photos!
Bottom line is, the ladies at Pretty are the best of the best. I would recommend them all day long to everyone for hair and makeup. I couldn't thank them enough.

Pretty did an AMAZING job on the hair and makeup. People couldn't stop talking about how beautiful we all looked, even people that see photos comment on it. Heather, Kayla, and Amanda came to the hotel were perfectly on schedule and did absolutely fabulous work. I wish I could have them make me look like that everyday! I am a beauty junkie and I could not possibly reccomend them any more!!

I had a schedule conflict with a hair dresser I was already using, when I decided to choose Pretty. Even though it was such short notice, they somehow found a way to still fit me in, which was wonderful. I opted not to do a trial run for makeup or hair, due to my time constraints, so I was a little nervous about the big day. Because I had so many out of town/state bridesmaids, I really wanted someone who could travel. Kayla and Amber came to do 5 girls hair and my makeup. They came to our hotel, showed up exactly on time and finished with plenty of time to spare! They were so nice and helpful. They were so easy to work with and rolled with every girl's idea of what they wanted, without any objection. They took their time and did an amazing job. Every girl was happy with their hair. When I told them I wanted my hair down, not only did they listen, but helped secure the hair so it would stay all day. I had an outdoor barn wedding and the hair held up wonderful all night! Every girl's hair was WONDERFUL. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup beyond words. I was worried having someone else do my makeup. I have always done my own makeup, however, I briefly explained what look I was going for and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. I never could have duplicated the look- it was wonderful! They completely made my wedding day SO MUCH easier. I felt their prices were completely reasonable for the service and traveling. They even let me buy a brand new lip gloss from them discounted because I did not have one and gave me a free care package for the wedding day, which was so nice since all of my belongings were a mess-it was hard finding things. I would without a doubt HIGHLY recommend these girls and Pretty Hair Salon for your wedding. They are prompt, professional, affordable and very experienced. Being young, they were also just fun to hang out with. Thank you Pretty for making my day so memorable on such short notice. I had SO many compliments on my look and you did an amazing job. Keep up the good work!

I love pretty hair salon. My now husband and I live in Northern VA, but if I lived in Pittsburgh then I would go to pretty to get my hair done. All of my bridesmaids were happy with their updo's and they did such a good job on my updo that a girl visiting my venue who saw me asked for their card for her wedding! When I went for my hair trial, I didn't have any specific pictures of updo's, but Heather was amazing and after asking me a bunch of questions she created an amazing updo!!

I hired Pretty Hair Salon to do hair for my bridal party after reading online reviews and hearing from friends about their work. It was important that we hire someone to come to my parents’ home on the wedding day; I loved having that time at friends’ past weddings and it was really necessary to help with time constraints. I met with Heather for my hair trial and knew immediately that she would do an excellent job. She listened to my ideas and concerns about my wedding day hair and was able to interpret exactly what I was looking for. Heather and Kala came to the house on the wedding day- they were prompt and totally at ease in the work space. A huge plus- they were so on time with everyone that we ended up ahead of schedule! When I decided to make a minor change to my hair they ran with it and did an awesome job. Everyone was completely happy with their hair and I loved mine (I wish my hair could look that amazing every day). They did an incredible job and I know who I will go to anytime I need something special.

Pretty Hair Salon was absolutely wonderful for my wedding day. Not only was it so simple to schedule the appointments, I knew I could trust their expertise when I wasn't sure how much time we would need. We finished on time, right on schedule and were able to get in the all important meal before the ceremony! My girls and I had such a wonderful time with the girls there and we were so relaxed for the rest of the day! Everyone looked fantastic for the entire ceremony and throughout the evening.

Val and Breanna did onsite hair and makeup for myself and my attendants for my wedding! Val helped my vision for my hair come true with just a couple pictures and made all of us look FANTASTIC using their own artistry and skills without any further direction. Most of us had never had such things professionally done before, so we trusted them to do a good job and they did not disappoint! The girls worked quickly and were fun to chat with the whole morning. They made it a very special and fun time, and our makeup and hair stayed in place even through all the hugs and crying. Great job!! Thank you to the girls, and to Pretty Hair Salon!

On Sept 14th Heather B and Dom were assigned to my wedding party for hair and makeup. Heather did an absolutely fabulous job on not only my hair but our Mothers and bridesmaids as well. She was able to bring the picture in my head to a reality and it was truly everything I could have imagined. Dom did both my make up and my Mothers. I have never had my make up done, and in the end it was beyond fantastic. He made it simple and fresh yet elegant, he is truly an artist. My Mothers came out great as well, and surprisingly didnt irritate her which she has had trouble with in the past. Heather and Dom are personable and professional and make a great team. I am overwhelmed with how they transformed me as a bride and continue to review my pictures in amazement. Pretty hair salon was attentive to all my needs with appointments and follow up calls. I would recommmend their services to any bride to be in a heart beat! My heartful thank you to Heather and Dom for being part of my unforgettable day!

Pretty Hair Salon was wonderful! They did the most beautiful job with my hair for the wedding! A stylist even came to my house and did my hair with all my bridesmaids. She was fantastic; very professional, on time, and encouraging. I would recommend Pretty Hair Salon because they really do a fantastic job!

Valerie did a wonderful job with my hair, and all my girls too. Everybody loved their up-do's and they stayed in all night! She was on time and pleasant to work with. It was great that she could come right to my hotel room. I had a recommendation from a friend to use this salon, and I'm glad I did!

Amazing!!!

I had a tough time finding a salon that would do both hair & makeup, and could accommodate 10 women the day of my wedding and then I found Pretty Hair Salon! From the beginning, everyone was super helpful from the trial to the day of. All of my bridal party got in and out with no problems & they made my day stress free.

Kyley did my hair & Amanda did my makeup, and both knocked it out of the park! I loved everything they did. I was worried my hair wouldn't stay up ( it did) and I was worried my makeup would start coming off by the end of the night ( it didn't). Thank you to everyone at PHS!!

I booked this vendor a month before my wedding for hair and makeup services, on-site at my hotel, for myself, my bridesmaids, my mom, and my then-fiancé’s mom. I had previously booked another vendor, and they canceled on me a month before my wedding. They were very nice, accommodating, and communicative. I was unable to do a hair and makeup trial with them since we were having a destination wedding. They arrived at my hotel at 6am since the wedding was at 11am, and they were very prepared and delivered beautifully. They were pricier than I was expecting, but completely worth it. Definitely recommend!

I would absolutely recommend Pretty for doing your wedding hair for your an your bridal party.
We had Pretty come to do my hair and makeup, as well as for my mother, mother-in-law and several of my bridesmaids and the flower girl. They arrived on time and were happy and calm, which was so nice to have while you have those pre-wedding nerves. I was surprised when Heather B came to the house instead of Shea, who did my trial, but she had an emergency and was not able to come. There was also Heather B. NAILED my hair. I showed her the trial photos and told her what I liked/didn't like about that hairstyle, and she did it exactly how I described it...but even better. She was able to give me a lovely, natural half-up half down style that incorporated a flower comb from my mother's veil, and looked awesome. The only negative thing I will say is that my curls started falling by the time the reception started, and were nearly gone by the end of the night. Given the amount of dancing, I guess it's understandable, but I was hoping my hair would stay a bit better. Regardless, I still looked gorgeous, and my hair was awesome in all the formal portraits.

My airbrush makeup DID stay put the whole day, and into the next day actually. Heather was so kind to help cover several scars I had that I was self-conscious of on my arms. I felt completely comfortable and confident all day.

The hair for all the bridesmaids and mothers was also SO gorgeous. CJ and Heather B made us all look like movie stars. Thank you, Pretty, for making us look SO pretty on my wedding day!!

Not a Bridal Stylist

Do not hire for a wedding! I went in for my trial and I thought I would have a good experience based on the photos on the website. I already had a contract with them I planned 6 months ago. Heather assured me all of her stylists could do styles similar to the website and they were well trained. Originally I was happy to hire them based on their portfolio as I am out of state. However, during my trial I found out that they could not produce anything similar to the work advertised. Now I regret trusting them.

I scheduled a trial 1-2 weeks before the wedding per the contract.

My trial was with Jen. I wanted an updo pulled back and I showed her photo as that were all similar. She tried three times for the same style and it was very messy. She over teased and tangled my hair and it was nothing close to the style I was asking for. I had to go to another salon to fix this as my hair was damaged. That cost $90.

She was not interested in helping my try on my veil. I was told to bring the veil and we would try it on at the salon but she said I needed to go back to the bridal salon so do that. I just wanted to know where the clip should be placed based on the hair so I could have it sewn properly for the day.

The makeup application went well. So at least I was ok with that but I needed someone for both make up and hair.

I told Jen I wasn’t happy with the hair and I asked if I should schedule another trial before the wedding. She said “no, we will figure it out on that day.” I did not feel comfortable with that.

I told Jen I wanted to tip her even though I was not satisfied. They couldn’t accept my tip since they never told me they don’t accept credit card tips. So you can’t lie and say I didn’t try.

I emailed Heather requesting another hair stylist. I said I was fine with the make up but the hair was no where near bridal quality. She emailed me saying there were no other stylist available.

I called wanting to speak with her to see if anything could be done. Sara answered the phone and said she would contact Heather as Heather wouldn’t call me directly. Sara said she could do my wedding and I made a trial appointment with her but I did let her know I was still looking for back up stylists if they could not deliver the services they promised and advertised and that we had a contract for. I started to not trust them when Heather wouldn’t take the time to speak to me about it. I was also asked to pay another $180 for a second trial. Which I wasn’t happy about but at the time I felt I needed to if I had no other options so close to the wedding.

The next evening Heather emails me and cancels the wedding and cancels the trial with Sara without my consent.

I called the next day to try to speak with her because it is alarming to get an email that your hair and makeup was cancelled right before the wedding.
I asked for a refund of the first trial since I felt I did not get another opportunity with another stylist and it is 9 days before the wedding and it is June so it would be hard to find someone else.

Heather refused to give me a refund even though she canceled the contract. She left me 9 days before my wedding with no stylist. She said that all her girls would do the same thing and I would not be happy. That did not make any sense to me. I do not see how anyone with any conscience would abandon a bride right before the wedding. I really wanted to work something out. She refused and started shouting at me as I felt I should get my money back.

When I said I would leave a review documenting my experience she called me ‘childish,’ which was very unprofessional as she kept getting louder as I was simply asking for a refund since she canceled the contract so close to my wedding and cancelled the second trial with the other stylist without my consent. It is not childish to tell the truth. I don’t wish for anyone to have the experience I had.

I wish I read all the reviews on Google there are others documenting similar experiences with Heather. So it is not just me.

She should have called me and spoke to me instead of just emailing me 9 days before my wedding telling me she is cancelling!! I would have appreciated a phone call. When I finally spoke to her I experienced that she is unable to have an calm conversation about a difficult situation. I just wanted compensation for being left without a stylist 9 days before the wedding.

Wow! I hired them because I trusted them with my wedding day! I was treated terribly and I do not recommend them for any wedding services. They do not have the caring skill it takes. They were unwilling to come to a resolution that would make us both happy. They did not care about my wedding at all. I do not recommend trusting them with a wedding. To cancel so close to a wedding is heartless.
