The cocktails, wine, and charcuterie are amazing! Would highly recommend coming every weekend! Great place to hang out and chat with friends. The service is great and the staff is the friendliest you could ask for!

It was an absolute dream to have our wedding at Prairie Moon Winery. A few things that stood out as exceptional were the staff, the space, and how easy the entire experience felt from start to finish.

Kacie was incredible to work with. She made planning feel calm and simple, responded quickly every time, and was knowledgeable and honest throughout the process. She helped us with every detail and handled every request, even the unusual ones. She made everything seamless, and I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

The venue itself is gorgeous inside and out. Our guests loved being able to move between the reception space, the lawn, and the vineyard. It created such an effortless flow and a beautiful atmosphere for everyone. The decor pieces provided by the venue saved us time and money, and there were endless spots for incredible photos.

Prairie Moon was flexible with everything we asked for and made the entire day feel easy. We had an amazing experience and would choose this venue again without hesitation.

It was an absolute dream to have our wedding reception at Prairie Moon! A couple of things that really stood out as excellent were Kacie, the event manager, the space itself, and the overall flexibility of everything.

About Kacie - if you want to work with someone who will make your life while planning an event as easy as possible, pick Kacie and Prairie Moon. She usually responded to my communications with her within an hour but a day at the latest. She is clearly very knowledgeable and is upfront about everything having to do with the details. She made a lot of out of the ordinary requests from us happen and she was absolutely a dream to work with. I would absolutely recommend her.

About the space - it is absolutely gorgeous both inside and out. One thing we loved was that our guest could mingle inside the reception space but also outside on the lawn and near the vineyard, which was great for our guests. Additionally, the venue provided a lot of decor aspects that saved us a lot of money. There were also a lot of great spots for pictures.

About the flexibility - overall they worked with everything we requested and needed throughout. We had a great experience.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend Prairie Moon. If there was one thing that could have been different about our day, it would be that during our event, staff for Prairie Moon were setting up for another wedding the next day. I believe they had a staffing issue leading to this, but it was disappointing. However, it did not hugely take away from our day and I still loved our experience.

We are absolutely pleased with our experience having our rehearsal dinner and wedding at Prairie Moon Winery. Kacie (event manager) was an absolute joy to work with. Incredibly responsive, polite, and flexible.
Our bartenders, Maegan and Jordan, were great as well with timeliness and customer service. 10/10 would recommend Prairie Moon for any couples getting married.

I recently got married at Prairie Moon and it was gorgeous! The Venue itself was beautiful, the wine taste wonderful and now they have a Brewery! What a great place to have a wedding! The coordinator was on her game, so friendly and so willing to help! I never once felt nervous that things were going to fail. She added more chairs when need be, she offered great support and helped with clean up! I received more compliments that night about the venue! I would recommend this to anyone! Great place!

Janet was GREAT to work with! Also, the winery is gorgeous and awesome to have a wedding and reception at. I couldn't imagine a better place!

The venue is so beautiful! They were so great to work with and professional. They gave us a heads up on what's ideal for this particular thing and gave us a heads up about things that were against state law such as using floating lanterns. I had a Friday wedding, and because no one booked anything the Thursday prior, we were told we were allowed to go in and set up early for free!! Seriously, go with them!!

We absolutely loved working with Prairie Moon Winery! Janet was so easy to work with, and she really made our time there stress free. She was very flexible in meeting with us and figuring out payments. We absolutely recommend this venue to anyone in central Iowa. We had a January wedding, and the venue was gorgeous for what we wanted and very affordable since it was in the off-season. It is very popular in the summer for outdoor weddings, so get your name in early if that's your case.

Our wedding was on a beautiful October Sat. The ceremony outside underneath the arbor was everything we hoped for. Janet was very helpful & everyone loved the winery's wine. She was helpful with all our questions so we could create the wedding of our dreams. the indoor location for the reception was beautiful & the dressing area for the bridal party was very convenient. The guys had to dress elsewhere as there was not really a place for them to dress other that the bathroom, but that did not seem to be a problem. It was a day to remember & the venue was everything we hoped for

The area is gorgeous. Wish there were a few more things included with the price, but overall very happy.

My fiancé and I toured this winery. It’s really pretty, but it’s very expensive to hold an event there.

Our wedding day was beautiful, and there were definitely aspects of the venue that stood out in the best way. The view of the vineyard was absolutely stunning and created a perfect backdrop for both the ceremony and reception. The space itself was flexible, accommodating our guest count with plenty of seating arrangements and options. They were also willing to be flexible with timing, which helped with planning. For central Iowa and compared to other venues we looked at, the cost made this place a good value.

That being said, there were several disappointing experiences that kept the venue staff from living up to expectations on such an important day. We were originally told we could set aside specific wines, but when the time came, they were unable to honor that, which was frustrating. The morning of the wedding, the staff was not very helpful, dead flowers from the previous event were still not fully cleaned up, and when questioned, excuses were made. We were told we would have two interns to assist us, but they were only minimally helpful unless we actively tracked them down. Our decorator, who has set up many weddings, specifically commented that she had never received this little support from a venue and was unimpressed with the communication and effort.

Additionally, there were avoidable conflicts: the venue started charging guests for beer from a keg we had already paid for, which required us to step in and argue to get corrected. Toward the end of the evening, staff even began throwing away fruit we had purchased before the event was over, which felt careless and premature because we had planned on keeping it.
