Whoever our bartender was on 12/22 at the Ellis Shackelford House, you ROCKED it girl! ROCKED it! All of our guests spoke so highly of the quality of the drinks and service. User1471107 Sent on 12/12/2013We hired a single bartender to serve at our wedding and he was fantastic! Working in the service industry I have high expectations of what good service is and pour masters exceeded those expectations ten fold. Our bartender went above and beyond the call of duty. He was friendly and always smiled. Several times he came out from behind the bar to take people their drinks and unsure that everyone was set. I could not have been happier with the service! -

Emmy Sent on 03/06/2016Pour Masters showed up on time (really quite early, which was awesome because they were definitely ready to go when cocktail hour started) and came with everything they needed. I didn't hear any complaints from anyone at the wedding about their service. I had put a special bottle of vodka in our box of liquor (we provided our own) with a label that said to serve it to me (the bride) as my drink. Every time I walked up to the bar I didn't even have to say anything; they were already pouring it up for me--awesome.
My only complaint day-of the wedding was when initially requesting their services, there are options for how you'd like to handle tipping. I indicated that I did not want them to have a tip jar out and that I would tip them at the end instead. However, when I walked up to the bar during cocktail hour they had a tip jar out with a decent amount of money already in it. Not sure of the point of giving me a choice if they're not going to follow my instructions. My maid of honor made it go away for the reception but I was a little annoyed that it was out at all. I think it's tacky to expect your guests to tip the bartenders (or any other vendors).
My other comment is, while it was quite easy to request/book their services online, I really expected to get a follow-up call once I'd submitted the form to confirm the details (location, times, number of bartenders needed, etc). I requested their services online more than 6 months in advance of my wedding and only got a call 1 1/2 weeks before the big day. While I did have the automated email indicating services were booked, it did make me a bit nervous that I hadn't actually heard from a living, breathing person.
All-and-all, though, I was very happy with the services they provided for my wedding.Pour Masters Bartending Service's reply:

User2580074 Sent on 04/18/2016I was really happy with Pour Masters initially. They were flexible, easy to get a hold of & very friendly. However, the problem came the day of... the bartenders were asked point blank not to have a tip jar out by my wedding coordinator as we had already included a 20% gratuity on top of their service fee. Instead of honoring our request they hid the tip jar behind a column so that my coordinator couldn't see it. They also missed filling the champagne flutes for our toast (our caterers saved the day). And if that wasn't bad enough, at the end of the night they asked if they could take a case of wine home!!! I was horrified. Following this event, we contacted the management to see if we could get a partial refund on the 20% gratuity since the bartenders had the tip jar out & they were unwilling to refund any amount. I would not recommend using this service again, unless they address these issues in advance. -
User1269966 Sent on 08/02/2013I am pretty disappointed with the services provided by Pour Masters and would not recommend them. Here are some of the main reasons why:
1.) I paid extra to NOT have a tip jar out on the bars. By the time I actually made it to the bar at the end of the night I realized that there had been tip jars out the entire time.
2.) My brother informed me after the wedding that the bartenders were blatantly ASKING guests for tips. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion.
3.) Multiple guest told me that the bartenders were some what "rude" or "pushy" with them.
4.) Both the recommended amount of alcohol and bartenders needed for our wedding did not seem like enough. I would have much rather paid for extra bartenders so that there was not such chaos at the bar, but I was ensured that 2 would be enough for our size event.
5.) We ran out of certain types of alcohol long before the wedding was done (and I purchased more than was recommended). Once I realized how much alcohol was being poured into drinks I quickly understood why. I'm not one to complain about a stiff drink, but it was a little overboard. -
User1597117 Sent on 04/25/2014We had to use pour masters because the wedding venue Noah's only use Pour Masters bar tending. We were misinformed by a rep from Pour Masters for there services and paid $400 dollars more than what we expected. When it came to the wedding, we supplied a ton of alcohol to the bartenders. Me and my wife have been hearing that the male bartender was very rude to our wedding guests by asking for tips and using mean looks to our guests when the guest could not tip, and was extremely disrespectful to the bride and groom. The female bartender was amazing, terrific to guests, and did a great job. At the end of the night, we noticed that the bartenders opened up all of the liquor and were unused. We spoke to the male bartender about it and all he cared about was for a good review. Me and my wife do not recommend their services and if you do get there services, seek the owner and the female bartender(not I believe Chris). They are not worth the price and we do not recommend.
