My husband and I met Anastacia about a year ago in preparation for our wedding. We had been attracted to her esthetic and beautiful work while viewing the galleries on her website, and we were delighted to find that she was a wonderful, sweet, down-to-earth photographer in person.
We did our pre-wedding/engagement session with her last September and the pictures that resulted only confirmed the confidence we felt in her work. It can be stressful to plan a wedding from a distance, but Anastacia communicated with us constantly and made sure we were very comfortable in the months leading to the big event. She and a colleague covered our wedding day and the day that followed this past June in Lisbon and the surrounding area, and the pictures are simply breathtaking. They look genuine, soft, full of light and color, and that is exactly what we were looking for. She translated the emotions and ambiance of the day perfectly, and was always extremely sweet, helpful and professional all throughout. I cannot recommend Anastacia enough. She is extremely talented and will always give you the best of herself, and it shows in every single photograph. I will definitely be in touch with her during my future visits to Portugal for other photo sessions. Thank you SO MUCH for everything Anastacia, the happiness you brought us is beyond words!
P.S: Anastacia and her colleague covered the entire day, about 10 hours of photography. The price I added reflects the approximate total for the wedding day, including the second photographer.Portugal Wedding Photographer's reply:

Wonderful!!!!!
Anastasia did a wonderful job photographing our wedding day in Sintra, Portugal. We were planning a wedding from the US, having never been to Portugal before. Anastasia was recommended to us by our wedding venue and she did a wonderful job helping us capture our vision. I have been posting some of the 600+ pictures she took of us on Facebook and one of my mother's friends commented that "these are the most beautiful wedding pictures I have ever seen". Anastasia and her assistant did a wonderful job highlighting the emotions of our day and they were both delightful to work with.

This summer we spent our holidays in Portugal. So as it would be our 5 wedding anniversary I think it was a good idea to have a photo session to have some beautiful pics about us and amazing souvenir to Portugal too. So I started looking in the net and founded several websites but Anastasia photos were absolutely my favorite! I wrote to her and discover an amazing woman and a great professional. When we meet in Lisbon we spent a great time walking in the center during the photo shoot. The final result was better than I expected, colors and light are fantastic, Anastasia made reality our dream to have wonderful pics! -

Unethical business owner, false advertising
*PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING*
Unfortunately, the experience that my husband and I had on our wedding day with Anastasia i.e. “Portugal Wedding Photographer” was gravely different than what other brides have shared.
I would be remiss not to share my experience; especially as a U.S. bride, where unfortunately, after consulting with my lawyer, there is very little civil or legal recourse for European vendors who breach contract, which Anastasia “Portugal Wedding Photographer” did.
My husband and I got married in October 2023 at Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, PT. We contracted Anastasia to photograph our wedding day. We had been in contact with her frequently in the months leading up to our wedding day and actually met her back in February (IN PORTUGAL, IN PERSON) for our engagement shoot.
Like many excited brides, I sent her vision boards and inspiration of shots I envisioned for our special day. She was always receptive and told me she would do her best to capture those moments. I was so excited to work with her – given the photos I see posted on her instagram, portfolio of work on her website and seemingly glowing reviews.
The NIGHT before our wedding, Anastasia called me and told me she would not be shooting our wedding day. Instead, she would be sending her assistant photographer to shoot our entire day and she would only come to capture the “important moments.” This was NEVER agreed upon in our contract. In fact, many times I was back and forth between having a second photographer. And, ultimately, I decided NOT to proceed with one because ANASTASIA assured me SHE would be able to shoot our wedding confidently, due to it being small and intimate (38 guests).
Anastasia was there for 3 hours total, out of the contracted 10. During our couple’s shoot, we felt extremely rushed and uncomfortable. Like many “real” couples, we are not professional models. We had mentioned many times that we would need more direction when it comes to posing. Prior to our wedding day, she was seemingly understanding and again, reassured us that she would help direct us, that it would be "easier" on our wedding day. The day-of was a completely different story. Not only was she (and her assistant) incredibly rude and unprofessional towards my husband and myself but our loved ones too. The only direction she gave was to “ACT NATURAL!” which only made us feel more uncomfortable.
After our wedding, I reached out to her to share my disappointment in how the day unfolded. Not only was I met with hostility and resistance; but accused of making factitious claims and extreme intimidation to keep silent about our experience.
In regard to our gallery, not only was it delivered late, (again, breaching contract) but she provided us with either unedited or poorly edited photos – as can be seen in the examples. There is makeup on my outfit and she sloppily edited it out in another.
To compensate for the fact that she was there for such few hours and took so few photos, she included photos from another couple’s gallery that also had their wedding at Penha Longa. The photos she included had entirely different decor and were taken in an entirely different location than where we celebrated. (Please refer to the photo of the property; the cocktail tables are in a garden to the left of where ours took place.) The church also has garbage in front of it. As you can see, the images she provided us with are not even the same aesthetic or caliber/editing that she showcases on her social media, website, sample galleries etc.
Photography is VERY personal and it’s the only keepsake from your wedding day. I can’t emphasize how important it is to do your research before choosing a vendor. Consider that there is a reason she only posts professional models and has no tagged photos from real brides, only businesses. Unfortunately, I realized this when it was too late.
I would never recommend Anastasia “Portugal Wedding Photographer” to anyone. Not only is she incredibly unprofessional but is an unethical business owner who does not abide by her contracts. -
