There was a lot of people we had to get photos done of and he was very quick with everything. it didnt feel like we spent all our time just taking photos he got the job done and we get to spend more time with our guests. -

I really appreciate Portrait Gallery and all the work they did for us. Originally, they had no one available to do our wedding this Fall, however, they worked with one of their photographers to get us covered. I really appreciated Geoff for working so diligently for us and Jessica as well for being willing to photorgraph our wedding.
Everyone I interacted with within Portrait Gallery was very kind, responsive, and accommodating. They had great recommendations for us and worked with us to make a great day. The pictures were all so good and they finished them up so efficiently for us. I would definitely recommend Portrait Gallery to anyone! -

He had all of our formal photos done in no time so we could get back to the celebration. Our full gallery was back for us within a matter of days and all of the photos are incredible. We discovered Geoff through a family friend. At first we were skeptical of his price, we were really trying to keep our budget low. But, his online portfolios won us over! So we went with his package that included a photo album for us and our parents. The photos were OUTSTANDING! And due to weather we had to change things around last min. Geoff went above and beyond, came out a day early to do our first look pictures to avoid the storm! He was on time. Photos were taken in a reasonable amount of time - not too quick but not too long either. He gave great verbal direction for poses. He made sure to get photos of all our family members. We asked and Geoff made sure it happened. He captured our whole wedding - we now have a "slow motion" film if you put all the photos together.
The photos were online only TWO days after our wedding. And he was giving us sneak peaks only two hours after the shoot! OUTSTANDING
seriously- your money = the quality you get back. I 100% would pick Geoff again if we had to do it all over again... but its a wedding so I hope its one and done! :) -

Even took special requests that we had a major all of those were done before the end of the day. Very professional very sweet. My wife and I were not interested in spending tons of money on our wedding. But the one big investment we wanted to make was in the photography. That's the part that lasts forever. We were nervous about committing to Geoff's price tag. We had experience with a lot of wedding business people that viewed our wedding day as nothing but an opportunity to squeeze us and make money. Geoff isn't like that. He has a high price tag because he delivers a high quality product which he dedicates his time, attention and love to. We are happy with our decision to hire Geoff to do our wedding shoot. He was flexible with us when we had to change both the wedding and reception venues. He took great shots. He was an assertive and clear-communicating director. He was punctual and professional. And he was willing to play with us when we had our own suggestions.
His home/studio is a fun little wonderland of cool photography sets. So our engagement shoot was fun and full of variety. I would highly recommend Geoff for your wedding photography. -

Great Experience!

Great Experience
We hired Geoff to be our wedding photographer after finding him on Wedding Wire. He was offering free engagement shoot to get to know him and his style which I thought was a great idea. We drove up to Burlington, VT and had a great engagement shoot and felt very comfortable with Geoff. On the wedding day he was quick and efficient which I loved! I didn’t want to be stuck talking photos the whole time and miss out on the party. Geoff got all our big shots and let us enjoy cocktail hour then would grab us again for another 5-10 minutes, making sure we could enjoy the wedding as much as possible. He got us our photos back in less than a week! Loved working with Geoff and would definitely recommend the Portrait Gallery! -

Great, Experienced Photographer!
Geoff is very experienced in this field. He was amazing and so friendly. He took all the photos we wanted and then some. We waited maybe 2 days after the wedding for a sneak peak into our photos. Then we may have waited another week and he released all of them to us. I LOVE how family and friends can access the photos for free as well! I would recommend him to anyone! The photos came out breathtaking and I am SO impressed!! Without a doubt he is a FIVE STAR PHOTOGRAPHER!! -

Absolutely incredible job capturing our wedding day!
Geoff was delightful to work with! He was so prepared and knew exactly what photos we wanted before the wedding day even began. That meant we could relax and have fun! He captured the details of the day without being intrusive, and did it all with a huge smile on his face. I was able to enjoy my day to the fullest and Geoff captured that perfectly. My favorite photo is one he took during an evening shoot where he backlit us to capture our silhouettes in front of our venue- stunning! A Fantastic Investment!!
Geoff and the Portrait Gallery came highly recommended as a preferred Photography Vendor for our venue, the Mansfield Barn. After our interview meeting some 18 months before our Wedding Day, it was an easy choice to hire the Portrait Gallery. Through every step, Geoff was forthright and all his processes and the variety of high quality materials available to us were clearly spelled out. The interview helped us feel confident and comfortable in our choices, as his approach is very flexible to our personal tastes. We didn't have much contact otherwise before the Big Day, but Geoff was very accommodating even at our first meeting, to work with us to establish and Installment Plan to cover all the costs ahead of time.
Fast Forward to the final check-in meeting, about a week before the Wedding, and Geoff sat down with us, where we discussed the list of Photo Ops we wanted to make sure were captured. We had a pretty small reception with only about ~35 guests, and Geoff was very accommodating to make sure we were able to capture all the moments and groups of people we wanted. Skip ahead to the Wedding itself, and Geoff was very punctual and professional, helping us and bringing his own well-earned professional skill to the event, to capture several scenic shots that we had not even considered or discussed yet. The bulk of the Wedding Photos themselves were taken pretty early in the reception, with a few special moments mixed in throughout the day, and totaling only about an hour over the course of the day. Seeing the quality now that they are available to us, it just speaks further to Geoff's enormous experience and skill as a Wedding Photographer. Over the rest of the day, Geoff was weaving his way around, catching delightful candid photos of the whole event.
My wife and I are grateful with our experience with the Portrait Gallery, which was both flexible and relaxed, and with Geoff's experience and professionalism. The quality of our photos really drive home what a great investment the Portrait Gallery is. It allowed my Wife and I to enjoy our celebration to the fullest, and I would make the same choice to hire the Portrait Gallery and Geoff again without hesitation. Thrilled with Geoff
Geoff from The Portrait Gallery was an absolutely fantastic addition to our wedding day. He is calm, pleasant, professional, and very talented. He took to heart everything we told him we wanted beforehand and was great on the fly with what we wanted on the day. He captured so many incredible moments, both in the posed photos and the candid ones. Geoff is very enthusiastic about his equipment, and his preparedness with a variety of cameras for different situations (allowing him to never need zoom) definitely shows in the quality of the final product. I was also thrilled by how quickly our photos became accessible to us. The day after the wedding he had a forty picture preview up on Facebook, and within five days we had access to the whole album. I would absolutely recommend Geoff and Portrait Gallery to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, or indeed photography of any sort they may be willing to do.

Phenomenal Photography
From our engagement photos to our wedding photos Portrait Gallery captured each and every moment better than we could have imagined! Geoff started by taking our engagement photos. Beautiful photos with an easy to work with photography team!
Geoff and Wendy were such a pleasure to work with. Geoff was extremely communicative throughout the whole process and provided guidance for determining what type of photos we wanted to take ahead of time so that we were prepared on the day of the wedding. Day of, Wendy took some getting ready photos with the men and Geoff spent time with the ladies. It was great to have both photographers to save time, as well as to have two different perspectives (and photo views!) during the day. They were also very accommodating and open to any picture ideas that we had. Geoff returned the finished pictures back to us in a timely fashion and they were so beautiful, we are still having a hard time deciding which ones to print and frame! We are very grateful for all of their hard work and would highly recommend The Portrait Gallery if you're getting married in Vermont! -

Portrait Gallery was awesome! Geoff McLoughlin took a wide range of photos at multiple locations and they came out perfectly. Geoff is also very engaging with our guests -- encouraging them to smile and look good for the photos. My wife and I got married at Shelburne Vineyard. Geoff picked out some great photo locations on the beach and haybales in a field. We also took photos along a really cool looking fence. Geoff was well organized and communicated with both us and the other vendors. We would absolutely work with Portrait Gallery in the future. The photos are one of the most valued pieces of our wedding. I could not have asked for a better photographer than Geoff. -
