Gorgeous work, excellent service
Little did I know that when I requested peonies for my wedding, I would be so lucky as to have the most gorgeous bouquets of peonies I had ever seen in my life!
Melissa truly did an amazing job and I am so happy to have had her for my wedding. From start to finish she was professional and personable, helping me in both brainstorming and realizing my vision. They create an online profile for each client with a personalized gallery of flowers and an itemized list of floral pieces with inspirational photos. We met virtually multiple times to really pin down what we wanted, and the results speak for themselves!
On the day of the wedding, they were also very flexible in adjusting certain flowers and ribbons per our requests. They also were a big help in setting up candles and decor in coordination with our venue staff. Our guests couldn't stop gushing over how beautiful everything was! All in all, highly recommend Melissa for anyone in the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Showstopper Floral Arrangements!
One of the best decisions I made for my wedding day was hiring Melissa and her team at Poppytree Floral Designs. Melissa and her team were very organized, professional and thorough throughout the planning process. We had booked Poppytree Floral Designs for our original 2020 wedding. When we decided to postpone our wedding to 2021, Melissa could not have been more accommodating, understanding, or patient with us. It speaks volumes of her character that she was willing to work with us as we secured our new wedding date. She would reach out to us periodically to check in and make sure we were on track to get married in July 2021. I truly appreciated her professionalism and communication during the difficult rescheduling process.
During our design consultation, I shared several inspiration photographs with Melissa for my bridal bouquet, as well as our wedding invitation. Melissa is a true artist and visionary, and her execution of the floral arrangements exceeded my expectations. Each floral arrangement she created was a work of art- full of rich, vibrant colors and textures. The flowers beautifully complimented the mulberry-colored bridesmaid dresses. All the flowers stayed fresh and perky all day long. I would say that the most compliments I received on my wedding day were for my flowers. I had guests telling me that they never notice or pay attention to flowers at weddings until they saw mine! I may be biased, but my bridal bouquet was the most gorgeous floral arrangement I have ever seen. The contrast of colors was so striking. I felt incredibly beautiful as I held my bouquet throughout the day. I could not recommend Melissa and the team at Poppytree Floral Designs more highly! -

Poppytree was my first vendor booked, she is so talented and creative that I knew we needed to work with her!
Wedding planning is chaotic in a pandemic but Melissa was amazing and totally pulled my vision together! After we had to scrap the original big plan Melissa took all of my frazzled thoughts and turned it into the most beautiful wedding and we cannot thank her enough. Her flowers and attention to detail made our day incredible and we were so comfortable and confident working with her. -

I cannot RAVE enough about the absolute perfection that occurred at my wedding from the imagination and talent of Melissa at PoppyTree. From the bouquets to the flowers on the arbor to the decor on the tables everything was meticulous but the really special touches came when Melissa interpreted my vague request for "something rainbow at the ceremony" and "a cool backdrop with picture frames for a photo booth" into BREATHTAKING reality - I am still coming down from this dream she created. Rainbows are a special thing to me and my husband and I wanted to surprise him with something at the ceremony, so Melissa created a RAINBOW MADE OUT OF PETALS down the aisle - it was SO BEAUTIFUL - on top of that, we were outside and the day was suuuuper windy but somehow the magic of Melissa got those petals to stay! AND she made a gorgeous sophisticated backdrop for photos as a photo booth, everyone loved it. AND SHE DID ALL OF THIS DURING COVID - with total grace in uncertainty, working with me changing my mind a million times and not knowing what we were going to do getting married in a pandemic, she pulled it off and IT. WAS. STUNNING. I will be singing her praises forever! -

Melissa made my vision come to life and I could not be happier. My mom and I met with her and she went over every detail to get everything just how I wanted it. I whole heartedly appreciated how much attention she gave us because she executed everything to perfection. She is incredibly talented and also has the most delightful personality! Melissa with Poppytree was so wonderful to work with. Her down to earth personality made her so easy to get along with and she brought my dream to reality. I do not know much about flowers, so I gave Melissa a couple pictures and colors I wanted and she ran with it... and I mean REALLY ran with it. When I saw the finished masterpieces I was blown away with her talent! She made planning so easy when I met with her and she really took the time to piece together what I hoped for! I truly enjoyed working with Melissa for our wedding! -

We had the pleasure of working with Melissa and Lynda at poppytree for the flowers for our wedding this past weekend at Stablegate Barn.
From the very first phone call to the day of the wedding we felt completely comfortable and at ease with Melissa doing our flowers and they came out better than we even expected!
Melissa even made time to meet with us in person on a Sunday morning a few months prior to wedding. We were planning from out of town so it was very valuable to be able to go over specifics in person.
We would highly recommend poppytree for anyone looking for flowers for their event! -

If Melissa is available, book her immediately! Her creativeness and talent are second to none! Our reception and ceremony flowers were absolutely stunning. It doesn't hurt that she is a true professional and a dream to work with! -

My husband and I cannot begin to describe how incredible Melissa and her team are - they worked with us from out of state (including an hour-long Facetime session!), to transform our wedding day vision into fruition, and they exceeded every and all expectations. From the centerpieces, to the flowers in candelabras, to the corsages, boutonnieres, and bouquets (including mine!), everything was exceptional. Melissa's calm, but upbeat nature made everything so smooth. We cannot recommend them enough. -

INCREDIBLE Artist and Person!!
Melissa was one of my absolute FAVORITE people to work with in this whole wedding process. I never thought I would really care much about the flowers at my wedding, and working with Melissa definitely changed that! Once the week of the wedding came, one of the things I was most excited to see were how the bouquets and centerpieces came out. Melissa is truly truly talented- and helped pull together my vision flawlessly. Really- I can't stop looking at the photos of the tables and my bouquet. She was so wonderful to work with, and kept me calm and smiling during such a crazy process.

Melissa is a true artist! Wedding planning can undoubtedly be stressful, but Melissa was able to take some of the stress away for me by bringing my vision to life in terms of our floral arrangements and bouquets. She truly listens to what you want and need and her passion shines through with everything she does. She's very knowledgeable of what types of flowers and greenery will be most likely available and she pairs colors and creates the most perfect designs. I've received so many compliments on all of the arrangements from the day of our wedding at Old Daley - and I continue receiving them even weeks after! (The mantle piece left everyone speechless!) I cannot thank Melissa enough for helping me bring my dreams to life and creating the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. -

My flowers and floral décor far exceeded any expectation I ever had and quickly became one of my favorite things from our wedding day! They were exceptional. Melissa is an artist with a knowledge of all things floral. She is a visionary. She is passionate, enthusiastic, sweet, and bubbly, and yet professional and punctual. She is the BEST person to have helping on your wedding day. Her energy and vibe are second to none, and the finished product was nothing less. Melissa really took the time to sit down with me and go through every detail from greenery to ribbons to candles, and more. She paid close attention to every little detail. She listens and has a way of bringing to life what you yourself can’t even fully describe! I don’t know what I’m talking about when it comes to flowers, and I changed my mind on things up until the last minute. Melissa goes with the flow and puts your mind fully at ease, which was something I really appreciated during the planning process. I can’t say enough good things about Melissa or how our flowers, head table, guest tables, etc. turned out. Guests raved about them. You will not regret working with Poppytree Floral! -

She was so accommodating and supportive in the ideas I had for the bouquets. They were absolutely stunning. I saved my bouquet because I can't part with it. I loved the colors and the different flowers and the way she put them together so perfectly. They were everything I could have wanted and more. We met a few times to go over ideas and colors and make sure they were going to be what I wanted. I was speechless at how they looked. I had so many compliments about the bouquets! We even used them to add to center pieces in the room. She added flowers to the wedding cake and it was absolutely perfect. She did exactly what I wanted and all she looked at was a photo and my ideas. If you are looking for the best person to make your dreams of flowers come true, Poppytree Floral is your place!

Lisa Sent on 05/27/2018First and foremost, Melissa is an absolute creative genius. Her work speaks for itself but she is also so sweet, energetic, bubbly, and easy to work with. She is SO passionate about what she does and it really shows. My wedding theme was spring, so I knew I needed the flowers to be perfect. I took my wedding invitation design to Melissa when we met to finalize my proposal and she LITERALLY brought my invitation to life. My intention was for my bridesmaids to have blush dresses but when they came, they ended up being more peach. I was very concerned about this because I didn’t want a peach color scheme. Melissa somehow made the flowers work perfectly with the dresses while highlighting the actual colors that I wanted for my color scheme. I don’t know how she did that because I was sure that blush and peach would only clash, but the way she put the colors and textures together was absolutely brilliant. The way she was able to capture my vision was unbelievable and seeing my beautiful bouquet will forever be one of my favorite parts of my wedding day. I just can’t say enough about my experience!! Go with Poppytree! You will NOT regret it!
