Relaxing, anxiety free service :)
I used PopTheCork’s month of planning services and let me tell you: it was a great idea. Even prior to my “month of” Jenna was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had about the big day, from logistics to design she never disappointed. She was able to take a lot off my plate with finalizing contracts and wedding dates timelines along with helping me feel more comfortable & confident with our plans for the day.
When it came to the day of - if anything at all went wrong, I had no idea. I was able to relax knowing she and her team would take care of any problems that would arise! They were very attentive, responsible, and fun. Wouldn’t have wanted my day to run so smoothly with anyone else!-

The best planner!
Jenna was extremely helpful to us when planning our wedding. We had a lot of our big decisions made, however the details were not my thing at all and I was very overwhelmed with all the wedding industry had to offer. Jenna was extremely helpful in helping us decide what to prioritize in order to make our day the best that it could be. Her team was amazing day of and I did not worry about a single thing that day! Extremely professional and made my husband and I feel so special :) -

if you need help and are overwhelmed by wedding planning do yourself a favor and book Jenna!!! you wont regret it. she will make your wedding day!!! im so glad i had her during the days leading up to it my wedding as well, her experience & knowledge of everything wedding related is invaluable !! come the day of i didnt worry about a thing. literally just showed up to my own party and she took care of EVERYTHING

Top notch!!
Jenna and her team at Pop The Cork were a dream to work with while planning my wedding. Throughout the planning process they were there to help answer questions, pick things out and made sure not a single detail was forgotten, all while sticking to our budget. They also helped give suggestions on certain vendors when I had no clue who to use. She worked as a liaison between my vendors and I to make sure what I had envisioned was what they would deliver and she was an amazing advocate for me. The day of the wedding was flawless as her team was there to organize each vendor and make sure my vision came to life. Jenna is so personable and doesn’t make you feel like a client, she truly enjoys the planning process and makes you feel like a friend during the whole process. She even went with my husband and I to bury bourbon a month before our wedding day to make sure we had great weather (which we did!!). I could not recommend Jenna and her team at Pop The Cork enough!! 🤍-

The Very Best
Jenna and her team were the absolute best our entire wedding weekend. Jenna participated in conference calls with my vendors, made sure all of our day of vendors were at the right places at the right time. Jenna made wonderful outlines of the entire weekend to keep both the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and parents in the loop with all of the weekends events. PTC stayed with us the entire day and made sure everything went AMAZING. They really took care of everything, including the clean up and gathering all of our items back and making sure we had everything we needed. It poured on my wedding and they even helped blow dry my dress for me. They truly saved the day. I would absolutely recommend Jenna and her team! -

Best Day Ever!
OMG-- I love them!
I'm really thorough with everything and a lot of times, I prefer to do things myself because sometimes, it just easier and saves time. As a bride, you want your day to be perfect so finding that perfect person to trust was hard. With Jenna and Mel I felt comfortable handing over my tasks and they did an amazing job with everything. Communication was perfect from day 1, Jenna responded to every single email very promptly. There were a few vendors I opted to not hire during my process because communication was too slow for me, I'm talking 1+ days of not replying to an email, I don't care how busy you are, if you care about your business, you make time for clients. Jenna was on top of her game, I love it!

I was trying not to stress, Jenna handled everything very well and was very patient with the whole situation, which really helped me stay calm. The Best in Baltimore!
Hiring Jenna as our wedding planner was absolutely the best money we spent! She was the perfect combination of professional & caring, organized & creative, decisive & fun. It was clear immediately that she is an expert in her field. Her attention to detail was absolutely amazing which alleviated so much of the pre-wedding, last-minute stress. There were no surprises because Jenna had planned for and was prepared for many circumstances, which during a pandemic is saying a lot. She was extremely flexible and patient with us as we struggled to navigate the ever changing Covid environment. She has an innate knack for the business which she makes look effortless, but which I'm sure is the result of many years of hard work and a commitment to making each bride's day special. We have two other daughters and it's wonderful to know that when it's time for them to get married we know who we will use as their wedding planner. We can't speak highly enough of Jenna and Pop the Cork Designs. -

The Best in Baltimore
Jenna is the best among all Baltimore planners! Our year of planning was completely stress free because of Jenna and her team! We provided inspiration and she delivered through and through. We did a full service planning package and it was worth every single penny. Our families, bridal party and my husband and I all were able to enjoy the entire weekend without running around to finalize details or a timeline because of Jenna. We could never thank her enough! Being on the other side of our day there are so many things I realize I never even had to think about because they were just taken care of for us. Every Bride and Groom deserves to experience their wedding weekend stress free. Our best investment was hiring Jenna! -

After we came up with my overall theme she went right to work mapping out my wedding from start to finish. Her knowledge of the industry was apparent through her selection of top notch vendors that were perfectly suited to my tastes. She played careful attention to our budget giving me suggestions when something I selected would exceed what I wanted to spend. Jenna exceeded our expectations and friends and family still talk about how amazing our wedding was down to the very smallest detail. She got to know my husband and I and the extra time she took to do that helped her personalize our wedding even more. -

Simply the best!
Jenna and her team at Pop the Cork went above and beyond for us! We had a rescheduled wedding due to Covid and thanks to her, it was a seamless process. Jenna and her team (Mel & Becky for us!) were so amazing and helpful and creatively driven. Cannot say enough good things about their work! My mind was at ease knowing Jenna was in charge.-

Sweet, prompt, and organized.
I'm Julia, a wedding photographer here on the Eastern Shore of MD! I finally had the pleasure of working with Jenna this past November for the most beautiful wedding. When I arrived, her and her assistant had already laid out all of the bride's details for me to photograph, which saved me a ton of time! The day went smoothly (we had the most laid back couple which made it even better!) and I loved chatting with her assistant about life! The only negative thing was that we didn't get to eat dinner. This was probably the caterer's fault (I'm thinking they forgot to bring out the vendor meals) but nonetheless, we got Chick-fil-a afterwards which I was not mad about whatsoever. ;) I truly hope I get to work with her again! -

Happy Newlywed!
I truly don't know how I would have gotten through my wedding year without Jenna. From the moment we thought about booking her, she was so attentive and really took the time to get to know myself and my now husband. She really "got" me and what I was looking for in a ceremony down to the colors. She would check in regularly via email and text to make sure that we were booking our vendors in a timely fashion and had everything we wanted. Her sense of design cannot be taught! I felt like our wedding was unique and we got the most compliments from the guests who said that this was hands-down the best wedding they had been to from the design to the flow of events.
In the months leading up to the wedding, I was so stressed about making sure vendors would show up/be on time/etc. Without me even knowing, Jenna had already been in contact with all of our vendors and followed up with them on the regular. She even went so far as to create a timeline for hair and makeup so that me and my gals didn't have to stress about being ready on time.
Now...the day of... I LITERALLY couldn't have been as calm as I was without Jenna and her team. Jenna truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. If there were any hiccups, I didn't know about them because Jenna was sure to make our day one of perfection. She went ABOVE and beyond making sure my husband and I had everything we needed: she made sure we ate, all of our requests were met, and most importantly that we both always had a drink in our hands! At the end of the night, her and her team packed up all of our decor and gifts and brought them to our honeymoon suite (on site) so that we didn't have to worry about anything. If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planning- DO IT. Your day is about relaxing and celebrating, let PTC take care of the rest! -

Stop right now and hire Jenna
Working in the wedding industry myself, I knew how important having a strong wedding planner by my side would be. Jenna absolutely exceeded every expectation I had throughout the planning process and day of. She was an invaluable resource in the months leading up to the wedding, and the ultimate support system and hype girl for our entire wedding weekend. Looking back, I know that she was truly the glue that held it all together and made sure everything was executed exactly the way I envisioned it. I feel so lucky to have found her and I would hands down recommend her over and over again. Hiring her was truly the best decision I made!-

Absolutely amazing!
Jenna and her team are absolutely incredible. From the first initial conversation and up to my wedding day, Jenna was so flexible and amazing with communication. Whether it was meeting in person or my crazy "what do I do" texts, she always responded so quickly. Not to mention she was in contact with all of my vendors throughout the wedding planning which took a huge weight off my shoulders. The day of would have never flowed the way it did without Jenna and her team. They ensured that that we had absolutely nothing to worry about and took care of every little detail. Whether it was holding my dress, making sure we were drinking water (and champagne) in the hot heat, running back to the hotel for things we forgot, and so much more, it was truly a dream wedding and none of this would have been possible without PTC. If you are a bride to be I have a few recommendations..

The best in the DMV area
Jenna and all of PTC put together our dream wedding! Our Wedding was in Annapolis MD and we live in NYC. Jenna was able to build us a VERY customized wedding. We bought things online and shipped them to her office. She recommended venues and vendors and all of her suggestions were fantastic.
Because she was willing to communicate with us via email and phone calls usually within 24 hours notice we were ahead of schedule with months to spare.
Jenna built our wedding perfectly and all our guests were able to enjoy the day without stressing over any imperfections. I would recommend Jenna to anyone who wants a great coordinator who builds your wedding vision. -

Jenna and her teama are amazing. Hands down the best. Jenna was truly a life saver. Completely organized and on top of her stuff. I literally didn't have to think of anything because I know she already thought of it. Without her our guests would have being eating lasagna with their hands. My now husband and I thought we could do everything by ourselves but once Jenna came into our lives we quickly realized how much trouble we would have been in if it weren't for her. She made our wedding beautiful and she will make yours too! -

Where do I begin?! I don't know what I would have done without Jenna and her team on our wedding day! We hired Jenna for partial planning and, let me tell you, you will have so much peace of mind on your wedding day knowing that you're in the hands of Pop the Cork! Jenna was very helpful throughout the wedding planning process from meeting in person and always quickly replying to texts and emails to being supportive and bringing my vision to life. Jenna is able to recommend the top notch vendors in the DMV area and you can feel rest assured that your day will be seamlessly perfect!! A month before the wedding, Jenna and I chatted over the phone about my timeline for the wedding day. Jenna coordinated with all of my vendors to ensure everything would go according to plan, and this took a huge weight off my shoulders. I can't imagine what the day would have been like without Jenna's organization and planning. On the wedding day we were blessed to have Jenna and her girls Jenna, Katie, and Jill. These girls work HARD!! From carrying my bouquet and veil during pictures and picking sticks out of the tulle in my dress to running to my car at the last minute to grab decor and making sure my (now) husband and I always had a drink in hand, having these girls was everything!! If you want to enjoy your wedding day (as every bride and groom should) without the stress of anything going off plan, then you need to book Pop the Cork! -

My husband and I hired her for partial wedding planning and it was worth every penny. Jenna was always available by phone or email for questions or vendor suggestions. What I loved so much is that Jenna will be involved as little or as much as YOU want her to be. She’s not pushy about what you should do or pushing her own vision, but rather brings YOUR vision to life! Prior to the wedding we had multiple phone calls, tons of emails, and we even met up in person to ensure everything was what we wanted and to go over the wedding timeline. Jenna created an hour-by-hour timeline for us for day of the wedding-AMAZING! They kept us on time and made sure we were where we needed to be for every little thing. It was so nice having someone who wasn’t a friend or family who could direct us all and keep it moving. I feel we got so much more out of our day by being able to relax and soak up every moment thanks to Pop the Cork being there. My mom even admitted after the wedding that she was skeptical about me hiring a wedding planner, but she was so glad I did because of how incredible and organized they were. She said it was worth whatever amount I had paid. I can’t thank Jenna and her girls enough for all the hard work they did. If you’re on the fence about hiring a planner, do it. You won’t regret it, because it allows you to soak up every bit of your big day and lets someone else worry about details. Getting married in a city that you are not that familiar with can be super stressful however she made the entire wedding planning process easy and so fun. We can not even begin to thank them for all they did during the planning process and day of. There is no way we would have been able to get everyone to where they needed to be.

Jenna Shellhammer was my eyes and ears and right hand support during the wedding planning for my daughter. For a year, she was able to answer my questions and concerns as I worked details from over 1,000 miles away. Every time I felt I was behind in getting things done, she always reassured me that we were on track and doing just fine. The day of the wedding, I can't imagine having anyone else be there to keep everything moving smoothly and stress free. In between making sure all the venders were where they needed to be and the venue was being set up, she was checking with me often to make sure there wasn't anything my daughter or I needed. I was able to relax and enjoy every moment of the day knowing she had it all covered. Thank you, thank you. -

I am soooo thankful I had Jennato help out on the day of my wedding. Our wedding was an outdoor ceremony and reception at our home and it would not have gone nearly as smoothly without Jenna! From the first emails and our first meeting, I knew Jenna was the right person to have as my day-of coordinator. Her personality is perfect for this type of job - she thrives on helping others and her detail-orientedness and organization makes her excel at making sure everything goes as it should. Although I tried to make my "to-do list" easy for Jenna, I definitely gave her a LOT to take care of, and she went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as perfect as it could be. I had the honor of being one of PTC 2016 brides, and it was the absolute best decision I made for my wedding – other than my groom, of course! I wouldn’t have had the wedding day I did without the creativity, professionalism, and heart of the PTC team behind it. More than anything, Jenna gave me the gift of happiness. Being able to relax, be present, and be a guest at my own wedding could only have happened knowing every detail and more was carefully and thoughtfully managed. I was first introduced to Pop the Cork's work while attending a friend's wedding. It was gorgeous and such a fun party! Shortly after getting engaged, my friend recommended I also hire Pop the Cork and I sure am glad that I did! Hiring Jenna and her team was one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding. Not only did she keep us on budget and on time, she truly kept me sane during the entire process. She became our designer, coordinator, sometimes therapist, and most definitely a friend.
When we first met, I had about a million ideas bouncing around. One thing I really wanted to emphasize was I wanted our wedding to be DIFFERENT. there are so many trends that weddings fall into, and I really wanted our day to reflect us. We pretty quickly started narrowing down my vision and the look and feel really fell into place. I described the type of florals I lusted over and she immediately had the perfect suggestion. She introduced me to vendors and ideas that I hadn't even dreamt of and they fit perfectly. We spent a lot of time talking about how I wanted our wedding to 'feel' and she completely nailed it; a unique, family focused, intimate, romantic and FUN event with amazing food and music.
When our wedding day finally arrived, I literally had nothing to worry about it. I practically felt like a guest! I felt so secure in the team and I knew everything was coming together. About every 15 minutes or so, Jenna's (fabulous) assistant would let me know where we were in the timeline and our next 'step'. I never felt anxious or uneasy. I was truly focused on my family, friends and soon to be husband. The day was completely flawless! It was absolutely the most beautiful day of our lives and our family and friends had SO much fun! The compliments keep coming in and my engaged friends are constantly asking me for advice and the names of my vendors. I can't recommend or thank Jenna and her team enough! -

Working with Jenna from Pop the Cork Designs, was truly one of the best experiences. I originally thought that I only needed a day of planner in this process. Someone to help with setting up decorations and make everything look perfect on our big day. Little did I know, that in Jenna I would find not only a new great friend, but someone who truly brought our wedding to life. Jenna assisted me with every decision the whole step of the way and she is someone I knew that I could always ask her opinion and she would be honest with me about it. Jenna helped me with every little bit at all hours of the day and for that I am forever grateful. Every vendor that she recommended to me was just as wonderful as she was which was GREAT. Everyone was SO amazing, helpful and really tried to be budget conscious, which I so appreciated! I truly believe that if it was not for her, our wedding would not have been as spectacular. I am super sad to not be emailing her non stop about wedding fun anymore!!!
As for her staff, they are just as amazing. On the day of our wedding, they helped with SO much, even with the smallest things such as, holding my flowers and helping me get out of the car for our first look pictures. They also helped keep my now husband and his groomsman on track with everything for the day and SO much more that I could legit write a novel. At the end of the day, I was so so blessed to have had Jenna and her whole Pop the Cork team a part of the best weekend of our lives!

Hiring Jenna and her team was no doubt one of the best decision we made for our wedding! From the moment I spoke to Jenna and Jeanette, I knew Pop the Cork Designs was not only super organize and talented, but also a ton of fun to work with! Pop the Cork Designs was different than other planners we had considered because they truly got to know us as a couple, and were very professional while still being a TON of fun and not at all stuffy. When I needed last minute vendor advice or had a question about logistics, Jenna would respond super quickly. When I got a little stressed during our walk through a few weeks before the wedding, they told me not to worry about a thing, it would be perfect--they were right! They calmed my nerves and made sure every detail was planned from start to finish. On the day of the wedding, I didn't stress one bit, which no doubt was a result of having complete faith in Jeanette. Jeanette even offered to pick up things from our rehearsal dinner that we would need for the wedding the next day. She brought breakfast and lunch to our suite as my bridesmaids and I were getting ready. These are just a few examples of how they truly go above and beyond during all aspects of the planning process. I am certain our wedding would not have run nearly as smoothly or been as enjoyable if it had not been for the PTC team. They are incredible, and you certainly won't regret having them be a part of your vendor team! -

Jenna and her team are amazing! I first met Jenna at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club's Bow Ties and Bubbly Event. We chatted for a bit and I immediately knew we would get along. I hired Jenna as my month of coordinator but she was in touch months before to make sure everything was going smoothly. She was always an email, text, or phone call away. We hired Jenna as a month-of / day-of coordinator for our wedding in Annapolis in April. Jenna was extremely upbeat and always had a great energy about her. Even though we hired her as a month-of coordinator, she definitely helped me out along the way, getting me quotes for design ideas I had, recommending local vendors, and helping us organize our detailed timeline for the day, which was difficult given we had our ceremony at a church and then transported guests across the Bay Bridge to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. She was always willing to meet up with me around my schedule in the months leading up to the wedding, which wasn’t always very flexible since I live in NYC and was planning the wedding long distance. She met up with us to do a walkthrough of our venue 8 months out and again a month our for our final planning discussion with the venue. Whenever she could be there, she would, which was really comforting to me because I knew she knew everything in my brain.
Jenna was great to work with along the way. She would check in with me monthly just to make sure I was doing okay with planning. She sent me pictures of design ideas based on the vision I had told her I was trying to execute. She served as a sounding board when I had questions or concerns. And she gave me peace-of-mind that my day would be in good hands and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything once the wedding weekend began.
On the day of the wedding, Jenna and 3 of her assistants made sure everything ran smoothly and stayed on schedule. They helped style some shots of our invitations and rings, coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure they were where they needed to be, and helped even switch the plan for our first look at the last minute due to rain. Our day was perfect, our reception room was absolutely beautiful, and I really did just enjoy my day!
I recommend hiring Jenna and her team to help with your wedding, whether it be full coordination or just month-of! -

Our wedding was unlike most wedding’s you've likely ever heard of; five weeks to our wedding date our venue owner stole our money and cancelled our wedding. Jenna was there as I frantically looked for other venues and gave me opinions from time to time and even went out to visit the final two I was in between. My experience was unconventional to what she typically offers for a month out and she was supportive. I was very stressed and had a lot to plan in just 30 days - not to mention the week of my wedding my basement flooded and soaked my dress. Jenna came to my rescue that week as she found someone to clean my dress and assured me everything was going to be ok. The rehearsal was a bit tough as the forecast predicted massive flooding and rain for the new venue location. Along with my bridesmaids, Jenna was able to get us rehearsed with our optimal plan and backup plan. The day of our wedding was a miracle, no rain. Jenna, her assistant and my Florist were able to take the wedding tent and turn it into the vision of pure perfection I had had since my engagement. I can't begin to explain the sense of calm and overwhelming joy I felt walking into my reception and seeing my vision come to life. Jenna took care of those details and set everything up exactly as I wanted. During my times of utter insanity Jenna was able to provide reassurance. Outside of this unconventional situation, Jenna put me in contact with several vendors (that I absolutely loved) as I needed them and was always a phone call or text away. I would never wish my situation upon anyone else but if you ever were I'd absolutely recommend Jenna to be your planner and regardless I can bet she'll ultimately become your good friend. -

All in all, Jenna was a very kind person with a big heart and a good eye for design.
I felt she wasn't as organized or as take charge as I needed for my big day.
I felt like I was still having to deal with a lot of issues myself on the morning of the wedding, and also at the wedding itself. -

Disheartening Experience
While I hate to speak negatively of anyone, I would have really appreciated knowing the truth about this company before I made the decision to trust and invest in it. After spending over a year "planning" my wedding with Jenna, I can attest to the other similar negative reviews regarding aloof one sentence e-mails, a lack of involvement in the design process, and total disregard for my budget when it came to recommending vendors. I can't even begin to count how many times I asked myself, "When is Jenna going to start caring about my wedding?" or checked my contract to validate my thoughts that Jenna was not doing what she had promised. It seemed like any time I reached out to Jenna for help or advice, she would minimize my feelings with a one sentence e-mail or tell me to go ask another vendor for help. I tried to be patient and of course didn't want to create tension with the person I had chosen to be in charge on my wedding day, but after spring wedding season was over and we still had almost no involvement from Jenna, I started looking for a new planner. With the encouragement of multiple other Baltimore-area planners, who were all appalled by my experiences with Pop the Cork, I made the decision that no bride should ever have to make and fired Jenna. It was only once I started working with a new planner that I truly realized how little Jenna really in the year plus I spent working with her. Besides from a few previously hired vendors, my ENTIRE wedding had to be planned in 2 months. The day itself aside, I truly felt like Jenna didn't care about me as a bride or even as a person. For example, my fiancé was deployed for 6 of the months we were working together and not once did she ask about him or us. But then again, I guess you can't really say much in one sentence. -

My experience with Jenna was very disappointing. We were clear with her about our budget prior to contracting, and she assured us it would be plenty. Yet, she was constantly recommending vendors and ideas that were unrealistic. She ignored our budget, didn’t take the time to get to know us and it felt like she was more interested in planning a wedding for her blog, than planning our wedding. When we tried to get back on track with more realistically priced vendors, she was defensive, negative and unprofessional. It was clear she would only work with specific vendors and was not willing to branch out, even going as far as to talk very negatively about vendors she had no experience with. When I let her know Id made a selection, she said it was up to me to handle all contracts and correspondence since she didn’t know them. We chose the partial planning and design package, yet she was too busy to join us for meetings with florists, which greatly impacted design and we had hoped we would have her guidance with. I’d send carefully thought out emails and she would respond with a few words, making me feel like annoyance in her busy schedule. When it was clear that we would no longer be able to work together, she ignored our calls and tried to avoid us for about a week claiming she was “too busy with a big wedding” to resolve what was going on. Jenna definitely over-promised and under-delivered which left us drowning in quotes for vendors we couldn’t afford and having made zero progress in 3 months of working with her. It was a huge set-back and really disheartening to have invested in a planner who cared so little about her clients. -

I cannot imagine any worse. Very unprofessional. We had Jenna. I don’t like starting any review off like that, but it is our sincere opinion. We hired her for the "month of" not a full planner. She got involved earlier on then we expected, wanting to recommend vendors and we felt that that she got upset when we didn’t choose them. Fast forwarding to the days before the wedding. She came to our rehearsal at the church and less than half way through we realized she was gone, leaving her to not know what was necessary in the church and leaving her completely useless during that time of the actual day. Which made sense when she didn't even show up to the church. The day of the wedding was clearly the most important and where she fell the hardest in our opinion. Before the ceremony, Jenna's team arrived after some of our guests so our programs and some decorations were there later than we planned. After the ceremony, we had a list of photos to take with the bridal party and family. You can imagine it was quite chaotic with a 250 person wedding. Thankfully our wonderful bridal party jumped in and started doing some directing while Jenna was not even present (she sent three young ladies who we had never met). We took pictures during our cocktail hour. We requested there be some of the hors d’oeuvres during this but that did not happen. However, Jenna was seen eating at our cocktail hour. Leading into the reception as introductions, we were outside on stairs coming in. We had to guess when we should be coming in. It may not have been confirmed she would assist, but looking back we wish we had someone who thought of things like this to make our day flow seamlessly. There were multiple times throughout the day that my wife and I literally asked “What should we be doing.” One of those times we were completely alone walking the halls of our reception.
