Breathtaking view, wonderful staff, amazing food and overall PERFECT wedding venue

I had driven by this restaurant overlooking the 10 freeway many times but I never dreamed it would be my wedding venue. I got engaged in December 2019 and started planning in Summer 2020; much of the planning took place at the height of the pandemic. When I started looking into venues, it was difficult because a lot of places were closed and there was a lot of unknown. A co-worker had told me about PVMC so it was one of the first places I checked out. Some things that stood out were the mining theme, meal selection, the package options, the location on the hill/the view, the decor of the veranda room and the bridal suite (included with only Veranda room). After looking into a few other places, I was convinced by the value, staff attention and location of PVMC.
I worked with Loretta and selected the Diamond package which included the meal (Miner's Trio), 1.5 hours of hosted bar and appetizers as well as the centerpieces (Flowers By Sam), the cake (Some Crust Bakery), the toast and linens/chairs. Loretta made the planning process smooth and was very supportive.
On the day of (10/16/21), I was not involved in any of the setup but my vision CAME TO LIFE 100%. The Veranda Room is just amazing! We loved that it was an indoor patio with a mesmerizing view. There are so many picture opportunities like the saloon, the jail, and hotel as well as outside of the restaurant. The Gazebo in the corner of the Veranda room adds a special touch- that's where our sweetheart table was. We had 83 guests including the vendors and 9 tables. It was a great setup and the staff did a great job of positioning all the tables and décor in the perfect locations. We enjoyed having a bridal suite to rest in before our grand entrance. There was AC, a mirror, and some comfy chairs where my husband and I relaxed. The only thing I had any concerns about was the dance floor (15 x18) but it ended up being perfect.
Special thank you to Loretta, Sergio, and Javier for the attention to detail and for making our special day SO PERFECT. Everything went according to plan and the event exceeded my expectations. The staff did a great job of alerting the Matron of honor or my brother of any issues and just getting things done so we did not have to worry. Every single guest raved about the food- the miner's trio came with steak, chicken, prawns, mashed potatoes, veggies and a mixed salad. The chef was very accommodating of dietary restrictions and the vegetarian options for appetizers and main courses were great. ALL of the staff were so attentive and accommodating; it really felt like they were family and were doing everything they could to make sure our day went off without a hitch.
I highly recommend looking into PVMC for your next event. They host wedding, reunions, baby showers, meetings, and more. The food, the view, and the staff are incomparable!

Lovely venue

Our ceremony the (Veranda room) and reception spaces (Eureka and Angel's Camp) were perfectly arranged by Loretta Suarez, she's super awesome and helps get you excited for the wedding by making your visions come to life! Loretta and the team were very responsive, kind, and welcoming. Whenever I had a question, Loretta would answer my calls/emails with patience and kindness as a million things were running through my head. She was helpful with all of the little details and had great connections with vendors which made all the details seem less overwhelming and stressful. Even when it came down to the vendors, Loretta recommended awesome vendors that definitely delivered. A few vendors that I am happy I got connected with were Some Crust Bakery and Tutta Bella Florist. She assured us that she would take care of everything and she definitely did that and more. The set-up, ceremony, reception, bar/hor d'oeuvres, dinner buffet, cake cutting, toast, and dancing were wonderful. I was so pleased with how smooth everything went the night of as their was a lot of flexibility and the team was quick to adapt to any changes. I was honestly carefree the day of as I knew I was in great hands! The night before, we were able to set up and everyone was so quick to answer questions and offer a helping hand. Employees were super sweet. The event went on and it was an unforgettable night. I am super happy with the venue, the scenery (lots of picturesque moments), and how everything came together to create such a beautiful day/night. Super caring, attentive, and kind. I must say, I really did love the rustic decor in there! My mom got married here in 2010 and I am happy to say that I got married here! Thank you so much for everything Loretta & team!

Amazing venue

It was so easy to plan our wedding all the way from New York. Ciera was seriously so amazing and easy to talk to and helped us plan our big day with ease

Ciera is the best

We planned our wedding all the way from New York and Ciera was always quick to respond when we had any questions or concerns. She did an amazing job assisting us. I highly recommend Pomona valley mining company because it was seriously so easy and stress free having flowers cake and table settings taken care of. I can't say enough how thankful we are to have had such a pleasant experience. Thank you Ciera!

Pomona valley mining company is an amazing venue. With beautiful views and great spots for memorable photos. Nadine and the entire staff were great and all very helpful. Brandyn made my little girl dreams of looking up on the hill saying, "I want to get married there!" come true! We set a wedding date 100ish days after the proposal, and Bradyn made all of the naysayers telling me I couldn't pull this off (and still have hair!) sit down. He worked with cost, a big entourage, and my scattered brain to make our big day effortless! He is extremely responsive, and insightful... KNOWS HIS STUFF CONFIDENTLY! I am forever grateful for him!

Pomona Valley Mining Company was a great place for our Venue. They were great to work with and whenever we had something to add they didn't hesitate to help us. Our Venue coordinator was Andrea, she is really great to work with. Our reception was beautiful. The tables looked great, we had buffet and the buffet was put together really well. The buffet was really delicious, my guests were very happy about the food. The price for our reception was reasonable.

I started my wedding planning about a year ago. My husband and I were checking out different venues when we came across this place. I actually hate rustic themes and gazebos, but the views were mesmerizing! We booked immediately! Andrea was my coordinator and she was awesome! She was so easy to work with, always responsive and most importantly, she helped me plan the most glamorous wedding on a budget when the platinum package pricing was out of my league. My wedding was this past weekend and although it rained, it was absolutely stunning! Andrea did not mind our billion questions, the many visits, especially when not scheduled, and she was always so polite! We had the Silverado chicken served and it was a hit! Everyone said it was absolutely delicious! I have been told by many people already that it was the most gorgeous wedding they've ever been too. Thank you Andrea and the rest of the team for all you did for us!

We had out wedding here two weeks ago and we loved it! The view at night is amazing, such a nice backdrop for all photos! The price was very reasonable and the vendors they recommend are awesome!

Pomona Valley Mining Company was the perfect location for our wedding reception. We loved the Platinum Package that include hosted bar hour, centerpieces, cake, and all the food! It was such a great value for our money and the food was delicious! We couldn't have been happier with the beautiful view over looking the valley and the different options we had available to us. They also gave us a lot of recommendations for different vendors to contact which made our search easier.

I would highly recommend asking for Marisa! She was amazing to work with and answered every email and phone call I had no matter how silly or small my question was. She was quick to respond and never left me waiting. I felt like she was there 24 /7 for me and managed the whole day of my event. Great working with Marisa during the whole planning process. Big Thank You also to Shawna who helped coordinate our day of event and was instrumental during our set up with answering our last minute questions.

from the very beginning which was us checking the venue, the staff was amazing kind and very helpful! Every conversation there after was through email because I'm Active Duty Navy so I travel a lot and I'm stationed 4 hours away from the place. Everything was perfect the staff is very proffessional and they truly do work towards making you happy and making your guest feel welcomed and taken care of! The food was delicious which exceeded our expectations since we went with the Buffett ! No regrets at All we got more than we paid for that's for sure!

Marisa provided my husband and I with the best service throughout the whole planning process, as well as all the way up until our special day! We chose Pomona Valley Mining Co as the venue for my parent's 50th/Golden Anniversary because of its location (the views are priceless!) and because we've eaten there several times.

The ballroom was newly renovated (it was pretty before but the post-reno ballroom was brighter and just overall nicer). We had an easy time setting up equipment early in the morning. On the day of the event, every PVMC staff (from the Mess Hall Captain to the waitstaff) was courteous and accommodating to all my family and guests. And then of course, there's the food: EVERYONE gushed about the food (steak and chicken combo). I personally loved the appetizers which I devoured shamelessly. The staff also didn't remove the appetizer until everything was gone even though it was supposed to be only available for the first hour. Even my vegetarian cousins loved their pasta!

There's once staff in PVMC who helped my parents' Golden Anniversary go seamlessly: Marisa Magoni, our Event Coordinator! She helped us tremendously before and during the event. She was patient in walking us through what we needed so that we can make sound decisions - not an easy feat when there are 4 siblings (plus a young niece and nephew) making decisions by consensus. Marisa recommended great vendors for both flowers (Flowers By Sam) and cake (Some Crust Bakery). The flowers looked amazing and the cake was both gorgeous and yummy. She also guided us on what we should expect during the event (we didn't know what to do and we were all very busy with work), and helped us get the most for our budget. My whole family couldn't be happier. She also made sure that we were taken care of the day before and day of my parents' anniversary. By the end of the day, my sisters and I were sad to say goodbye to Marisa because we had so much fun planning with her. I couldn't thank Marisa enough, and I'll work any event with her in a minute!

My first visit to inquire about the venue-Excellent, Marissa was professional and Knowledgeable, Just a great person to have in your corner for just a special event.
My second visit for the deposit- Excellent. Marissa made me feel she had my best interest at heart and comfortable
My third visit-to pick colors and food- I was never rushed, pressured, she made some suggestions that were cost effective for my event, relaxed
My fourth contact was by phone to give the final count and the other business-Excellent
My fifth visit to pay the final balance-Excellent There was a minor hiccup but the catering manager looked beyond me being just a "customer" but someone that didn't need any stress, days before the event. Hiccup resolved within a matter of minutes.
My sixth visit (the Wedding)-Excellent All I can write is I have recommended this venue and ALL that were involved. Every single person was Excellent. The food was great the decor was beautiful. YES!! I will be back (not to get married again??lol) but, for other celebrations. I strongly recommend this venue. I and my New husband were very pleased.

We just had our wedding here and it was AMAZING! Everything looked beautiful and turned out great! Everything from the food to the service was awesome. Marisa is my girl, she is the best! Planning the wedding was much easier with her help. The view from the rooms along with all of the decor makes this place a great spot to have a wedding, super cute!

One of the stressful decision I had to make as a bride is finding the right venue. And after searching for 3 months of being engage I found Pomona mining co. This venue surely made myself, my groom, family and friends a night to remember. The food was delicious, the staff was accomodating, and the view was phenomenal. This venue has a rich classy taste but yet affordable. Everything I had imagine and created in my vision came through on our special day. The catering staff specially to Marissa magoni gave me an outstanding customer service.. Even though I knew that it was wedding season, she had time to actually listen to my needs and was there for me beginning to end. Thank you Marissa, your quality of service Is excellent.

I was so very happy with my whole wedding experience as a whole with the Pomona Valley Mining Co. My wedding coordinator was Shawna Hardy and she was awesome. She understood what I wanted and made it happen. Everything was so beautiful and I was so in awe. She made everything so easy and stress free. I didn't have to worry about anything except picking what I wanted.I highly recommend anyone to use PVMC for their wedding or any event. You will not regret it!

My fiance and I met with your Catering Sales team with less than four weeks to plan our wedding. Everything was arranged in a few short hours. We literally just had to "show up" on our wedding day. Your staff was very helpful and took all of the stress off of our hands. Our guests loved the venue, the view was AMAZING and the Chicken Silverado was delicious!

My wedding day was perfect! Many thanks to the Pomona Valley Mining Co. for an exceptional experience. Marisa was a wonderful coordinator for our wedding day. She was kind, patient and always willing to help. She helped make our day beautiful. The food was great, the service was wonderful, our guest loved our ceremony and reception venue. The venue was within our budget and was a great choice to hold our wedding. We loved the rustic feel of the restaurant.

Marisa was also the coordinator we had for my mom's bday party a few months before our wedding, so when we decided to book PVMC, that decision was also based on knowing that she would be there to help us plan our special day. Marisa is very professional but still personable, which helps a great deal because I needed all the help I can get because event planning is not my strong suit. She helped me with details that I would have probably over-looked. She is very patient and flexible with changes that were being made. Marisa is also very easy to contact, which I appreciated the most. She went above and beyond, I'm sure because it definitely felt like it! She even made sure my dress was straight and flowing gracefully right before I entered the room to walk down the aisle. I would highly recommend Marisa and would definitely book the venue for future events again.

The only small issue I had was with the sound system. Connecting my iPod to the cable, the speakers in the ceiling gave off a metallic sound, which was disappointing. The speakers seemed to be old and the sound quality was poor. It sounded better in the hallway, sadly. I had been shown a speaker on a tripod stand during our initial meeting, so that is what I was expecting.

Otherwise, it was a lovely evening! The food was great, cake was perfect, and the flower arrangements were beautiful. Marisa was a delight to work with, and the rest of the staff was professional and attentive. Thanks for making it a memorable event!

We had such an amazing time. It was the perfect location for our Wedding Reception. It was beautiful, our food was amazing. We're so happy that we had the pleasure to host our event here!

I couldn't say more about the PVMC. They offered several catering choices to meet my tastes and budget, they offered several room choices, and dates very close to my date, which I didn't think I was going to be able to find. They offer packages that include table & chair covers, a cake (from your choice of 3 vendors), a choice of 2 hors d' oeuvres, a margarita station (or an exchange of that for something else which we did exchange for an extra hors d' oeuvres item), a champagne toast, table wine with meal, and a ONE HOUR hosted bar (on the restaurants tab)!!!!!! I think the one hour host bar is what was the icing on the cake for us (no pun intended).

Making the decision to host our wedding and reception at the PVMC was the best decision, they met and exceeded all of our needs, and made all the in betweens for the reception seamless. Not to mention how courteous, helpful, caring, and professional their catering manager Sheryl King and head waiter Horacio were. They helped keep everything flowing, and updated us on everything, every step of the day. Thank you!!!!

Marisa from PVMC is amazing!!! We met with her when we first went to look at the venue and ended up booking it for our wedding that day!! Everyone we worked with at PVMC during our wedding planning process was wonderful, but Marissa was our go to girl. She is professional, organized, sweet, friendly and was genuinely as excited about our big day as we were. The day of our wedding everything was perfect!! Our guests are still talking about the beautiful venue and the great service. I highly, highly recommend PVMC and will definitely book more events there in the future.

Rhonda was such a pleasure to work with and made sure everything was taken care of on my day. She brought me fruit and crackers just when I needed it and kept checking in making sure everything was the way it was supposed to be. Everything went beautiful on my big day this past weekend. The only thing I wasn't 100% on was that my maid of honors had to move some tables around because the staff wasn't doing it but other than that it went perfect and I had the wedding day of my dreams. The views were fantastic at night and everything flowed so nicely on the day of. The best place to have a wedding in the evening by far!!!!

Everybody's comment was FOOD and VENUE is GREAT!!! Melisa is a good coordinator. I only had a problem with the dressing room. I guess there was another wedding that day. I just thought that since I reserved almost a year early I would have a priority since I reserved first . I had to change my gown in the office which is kind of uncomfortable. Other than that everything came out great, my friends and family can't stop talking about the reception telling me how they'd enjoyed the party.

Our coordinator was Marisa and I can't even begin to say how awesome she was throughout the whole planning. She was very understanding of our needs and our last minute changes. We had changes up until about the day of the event but Marisa always made it happen for us. The staff was all very nice and always had a smile. We used the three upstairs event rooms since we had a pretty big turnout and everyone loved the venue. It looked very elegant and spacious. The food was great (buffet). The view from the rooms we had was a big hit and people loved it. I would definitely recommend this venue for your events. It can be a little pricey but everything looked amazing and you can't beat the helpful staff.

I had to move my venue location to PVMC 3 months before the wedding!! They had the day available, their pricing was a little higher than I originally planned for, but they made it a very special experience. It was well worth the money. Their food was amazing, staff was lovely, and my rep was PERFECT!!

The only complaint we had with Pomona Valley Mining Company's service was the audio/visual department who definitely did not know what they were doing. We paid $150 for this service but apart from providing the screen, projector and an adapter cord did not know how to set things up. It took my daughter-in -law over two hours which included googling hook up instructions and a conference call to her brother to get things working. This was extremely frustrating and time consuming. She also accidentally left her cord there the night of the event and in spite of calling the next day it was not found.

We chose this venue for the rustic environment which my husband and I really loved. We booked our wedding for a Sunday which meant extra savings for us! The staff is friendly and willing to help out whenever needed. The food was amazing and many of our guests kept coming up to us telling us how amazing it was. You definitely get what you pay for and you get alot compared to other venues we checked out. Flower centerpieces, linens and our cake was all included. Our cake from the preferred vendor list of choices was outstanding! We are so happy to have had the Pomona Valley Mining Company host our wedding. Everything turned out better than ever expected!

Marisa was awesome! She delivered the wedding we envisioned and our reception was beautiful! When we experienced an issue with the flower vendor, Marisa quickly stepped in to resolve the issue and ensured that our event would go on without a hitch. The staff at this location was great. I called a few venues before I chose this one and no one acted as excited about my wedding as they did. I felt like they really cared about my day and not just my money. They were very helpful with references as well. The day of was perfect, there was a floor manager that kept everything rolling along with my coordinator. The only thing that didn't turn out as planned the day of was the champagne wasn't to everyone before the toasts. But that's ok, it was a little of my coodinators fault on that one. But all in all, the place, the people and the food were fabulous!

This was such an awesome venue to go with my Hollywood vintage theme. This place was the perfect size for 100 guests. The tables and chairs went along greatly and all of my guests had fun. Andrea is super awesome to have been in touch with us and to make sure that we were doing good. The food is delicious and the open room with the glass windows all around made it more awesome. I was only upset that the staff knew that we are cutting the cake, but when we stepped out for sunset pictures the staff didn't cut and serve our cake to our guests. We had to notify 2 staff members that were just standing around to see if they can cut and serve our cake. Either than that I highly recommend this place. They were willing to work within our budget.

I had my wedding at the Pomona Valley Mining Company, so they were also my chosen vendor for catering. Pomona has fantastic food and I was very pleased with it the day of! I had heard mixed reviews for large catering at Pomona, but we had 150 guests and everyone really enjoyed the meal-very pleased!

This is a beautiful venue. The vendors that come with the packages provide high quality services. My coordinator was very helpful and I felt like I could count on her to make my special day perfect! The venue does not provide much flexibility since they pretty much stick to the specific packages that they offer. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Pomona Valley Mining Company provides an excellent location and has the best prices in all of SoCal. I love that they included chair covers, an ice sculpture, fun extras like a margarita station, and one hour of a hosted bar. Their food was outstanding. I looked all over San Gabriel Valley and finally decided to head to Pomona because the price, quality, and the things included cannot be beat. However, in the process of reserving the space I felt a little railroaded into certain decision and the person I was working with gave me a little trouble with some simple requests (such as closing the bar after service started--I had my own reasons and I don't think that anyone attending had a problem with it). I also felt a little put upon to hire a particularly baker to do the cake and since that cake was rather unimpressive we went looking for someone else. It turned out that several bakers were included in our catering package, but only after a phone call or two did we find that out.

In all I would give this place a great review and if you can put up with being a little firm about what you want I think that you would be completely satisfied. If not, the view will make up for it!!

Majority of the night was great. I was disappointed in someone switching the door entrance, because I had my guest book, picture and canvas I wanted the guest to sign, since the door was switched to the middle door, only a few people signed it. I also has someone box up my cake top, but they smashed it and it ruined now. We wanted to save it for our first anniversary and we had to trash it because it was ruined.

The bar tender at the wedding was extremely rude to our guest. When our guest would go up to get their drinks he was extremely unprofessional. One of our guest asked for a cup of ice for her babies juice. The bartender automatically assumed they had brought a bottle of alcohol from home. This was extremely inappropriate. Another person at the venue told our guest that the party did not start until 5 because they were there a bit to early when in fact the party started at 4. Because of this person we had people leave the venue and come back until almost dinner time was over. They missed the one hour hosted bar and appetizers. This was also very unprofessional of them because we paid big bucks for our family and friends to have a great time. I must say though that besides these 2 individuals screwing it up for our guest we did have great servers. Our food was brought out on time. They were very attentavite and helpful. Valet parking didn't end up being such a big deal. After I signed my contract I realized that on Saturday there is only valet parking ($5 per car). Make sure you are ok with having valet parking. The venue was flexible on a few things such as catering our guest needs due to religious purposes. A family could not eat until the sun came down. The venue made sure these individuals were fed when the time was appropriate. I recommend if you are looking at this venue that you get a quote so you can see all cost included because it is not just the cost per plate. There's other fees besides taxes such as a bar fee. But regardless of all these things, the food was delicious and people could not stop talking about the view. It was beautiful.

They were good

Overall the venue was good they ended up firing all of their staff and re-hiring a new group so it has been very chaotic. The new group doesn’t quite know what they’re doing. And I heard from my florist they weren’t very good with her. If the staff had more training it would’ve been a better experience

When I first started planning with Pomona I was working with Shawna and she was great! I couldn't ask for more, however during my process I believe Shawna got a promotion and another lady was given my account to run. I was not very impressed with the new lady. First, she changed my seating arrangement and created a very unattractive floor plan for my guest seating. When my fiance called to speak with her about the problem, she was a bit hard to get a hold of and was rude to my fiance on the phone. In the end Shawna came to the rescue and fixed my seating plan and made sure my reception was everything I wanted. The food was good and the view was spectacular. The service people were a bit slow to get the food out and many of my guest later told me they were never served cake, although I had an entire tier left over at the end of the night that was never even cut. Overall, the room was beautiful and I really enjoyed my night. Looking back I think the service could have been better, but i didn't really notice at the time. i would use them again, but next time I would be more mindful of makking sure the service staff were doing what they should be doing.

This place is horrible!!! Do not get strung in due to the view. It's not even worth it after all the lies and trouble you end up getting from this place. I could probably sit here and type a book of all the horrible things about this venue.They nearly ruined my wedding day. When you are paying over TEN THOUSAND dollars to ONE place you better get a bang out of it. Lets start with the people. Shawna- very professional; and the only one who gets it done. Marisa- Shes a sweetie, but I feel like she forgets or doesnt listen to certain request. Rhonda- It was like talking to a wall! You get no where! Go to Shawna. The staff? THEIFS! I had very expensive 32 inch trumpet style glass vases with a crystal ball in the middle filled with crystals and my flowers gorgously sat on the top. The morning I went to set up, I had 3 left over vases which were to be taken to the office to later pick up. They never made it to the office! They are huge and heavy. It's one of those things that cant be mistaken for trash. Well they did NOTHING over this. They did not try to make it right at all. Oh! thats because they forget to mention that in the contract its says they arent responsible for anything before, DURING, or after your event. The day of my wedding, they couldnt read the "writing" on the name cards so they made an "executive decision" to make it open seating! I flipped!!! My guest where scattered! Family was not sitting together, people had no tables for them to all fit, and some waited over 45 mins and eventually LEFT! You can only imagine how I got. My question was, I sat in the bridal suite for over an hour. Why would they not come and ask me? I could of easily told them who went where even though I left them a SEATING CHART ready and in print next to the cards and table numbers! I should of honestly kept looking. I'm so disappointed in this venue. Save yourself a headache and a nearly ruined wedding. Look for another place.
