We had the utmost honor of working with Amy from Polished Entertainment to bring our wedding reception and dance floor vision to life. Words cannot adequately describe how amazing, detail-oriented, and incredibly talented Amy is. From the moment we first met her, she felt like a friend we'd known forever, and we immediately knew that she was the right person to make our wedding reception everything we wanted it to be and more.
Working with Amy was an absolute joy. She brought energy, enthusiasm, and excitement to every part of the planning process and right through to the end of the wedding night. Amy wasn't just our DJ; she also helped coordinate the wedding day events, ensured everything went smoothly, and made sure we had everything we wanted throughout the night. She truly went above and beyond to make our day magical.
Our guests raved about the fantastic music and how they had never danced so much at any wedding. Amy is a master at reading the dance floor, knowing what song to play and when, and keeping everyone moving all night long. She also helped one of us plan and pull off a special surprise for the other during the first dance and coordinated a surprise performance by the UW Marching Band. Her creative approach and artistry were evident, especially with her impeccable timing and use of cold sparks to add beautiful imagery and excitement for our guests.
Amy also planned surprises for both of us throughout the night, making us feel special in every way. Additionally, she transformed our reception space into an elegant and upscale area with the use of uplights, creating the perfect setting for us to dance the night away. We truly cannot imagine what our day would have been like without Amy, and are so thankful to have been able to work with her.
If you are looking for a DJ that will ensure you have a fantastic time along with your guests, Amy from Polished Entertainment is the only choice. Thank you, Amy, for being a part of our day and making it more fun than we ever could have dreamed. -

Amy is professional, friendly, and has great music taste! Not only did she knock it out of the park as our DJ, but she did an amazing job as our MC too. She was so helpful from the very moment we hired her, helping us plan parts of the wedding and providing support when needed. She checked in constantly throughout the night and constantly went above and beyond. Her prices are affordable and the service is unmatched - do yourself a favor and just sign on with her. I promise you won't be disappointed -

If I were to attribute the ultimate success of my wedding day to one person, it would absolutely be Amy. If you're looking for a DJ, you've found the best person for the job. Amy puts together a wonderful setlist based on what you want, what you don't want, and what will keep the party going. I attended a wedding she DJ'ed before ours, and it was amazing how many people talked to me about how great the DJ was without even knowing I had booked her for my own wedding a few months later! I'm personally a big fan of k-pop, and Amy did a spectacular job balancing me wanting to hear some k-pop at my wedding and picking songs that were the right atmosphere for the wedding reception.
But it would be a disservice to simply call Amy a DJ, as she essentially acted as our day-of coordinator as well. She ensured everything was set up and ready before the ceremony, while we were gone for couple portraits during cocktail hour, and while we were busy being newlyweds during the reception. She came over with quick questions when we were needed, but took care of so much in the background to help us enjoy the day. She even brought uplighting and was able to match it to our wedding colors, and I could not imagine our outdoor tent without her beautiful added lighting.
It was such a pleasure working with Amy throughout the entire process. She was helpful and available before the wedding when we had questions and concerns, and she was proactive and flexible during the day to help us relax and enjoy the party. I cannot imagine our wedding day without Amy. The best decision you could make for your wedding would be booking Amy and Polished Entertainment. Thank you Amy for EVERYTHING! -

I literally couldn’t imagine our wedding without Amy! Not only is she an incredible DJ, but she’s an incredible vendor all around. In the months before our wedding, she was always available to answer questions and was proactively making sure we were on track with timeline development and other planning elements. And on our actual wedding, she was way more than just a DJ! She helped make sure our decorations were setup, brought us dessert, and even always made sure we had a drink in hand!
And on her DJing skills – SO many of our guests commented on how perfect our reception dance party was because of her! Amy is amazing at reading the room and determining the perfect songs to play. She even custom mixed a song for our family dance, which was so special and really meant so much to us.
We really felt like Amy listened and created the exact vibe we wanted for our special day. We highly recommend you stop looking for other DJs right now because you already found the best one! -

Amy is unparalleled when it comes to event DJs. After attending a wedding she did a few years ago, I knew I NEEDED her to be the DJ at our wedding. Amy went above and beyond right from the start; she helped us through the planning process and put so much of her time, attention, and love into our wedding. Her attention to detail didn't stop there: she also helped facilitate our rehearsal and met our every desire during the wedding, even the most ridiculous ones. She even went as far as making sure the bridal party had a drink in their hands throughout the night! Amy seamlessly collaborated with our planner and other vendors. However, what I think makes Amy stand out the most is her innate ability to sense the vibe of a wedding at any given time and to use her art to keep the party going and make it an incredible night. She is so more than just a DJ. She truly is the backbone of an amazing event.

Wedding advice: don’t skip on a DJ. Especially if you have a big wedding with many moving parts. I could talk about Amy and her talent all day long. From day 1, she helped me research venues, helped me generate questions to ask vendors and was always working behind the scenes to make sure our day was truly ours. Amy told us during our first meeting “you hired me to make sure your day goes as you planned it, and it’s my job to make sure problems are Solved before you even know they exist.” Amy did just that. She brought the hype, she spent time getting to know us as a couple and individuals, AND she made sure we both had a say in the details of the day (if you think your FH doesn’t have opinions, they do! And you want to hear them! It’s way more fun to share the planning!). On the day of the wedding , Amy goes above and beyond d to create a vibe and energy that matches your vision. Lastly, if you want a DJ that will truly be invested in your day…. Amy is your girl. A DJ doesn’t just play music and introduce speeches: they analyze the needs of the room, manage personalities, and make sure the bride and groom are having the time of their lives. Hire Amy, you will not regret it. You might even find a new friend along the way. -

Lets just start by saying Amy is AMAZING! The very first phone call we had with her she brought an energy that we knew would make for an awesome wedding reception! The months leading up to our wedding Amy was very timely and responsive to all emails and calls. She made sure all our music needs were met prior to the actual wedding day so we could focus on other things. Then came the day of the actual wedding. Amy came in and made everything run so smoothly, and that is something you don't really appreciate or think you need until its actually happening. Amy did an amazing job of making sure the ceremony was beautiful and kept everyone on the dance floor all night for the the reception. She was extremely helpful with everything in between as well. Everything from helping the groomsman with flowers, to getting the entire wedding party refreshments during dinner. She also did an amazing job of making changes on the fly as well. One thing that we also really appreciated was she stuck around afterwards and made sure we were all taken care of and could go back to the hotel with no worries that we forgot or missed something. Overall, if you are looking for a DJ that will do WAY more for you than just play music then Amy at Polished Entertainment is who you want!! -

Above and Beyond
Amy was nothing short of wonderful! My sister got married during COVID and Amy helped me coordinate a large-scale special surprise for the happy couple. I wasn't even the bride, but she took my calls over the weekend and always responded to my emails within minutes. I cannot say enough about how attentive and personable Amy was!Polished Entertainment's reply:

Amy is simply the best and just an all around amazing person! She is super knowledgeable, very fun and incredibly organized. Amy genuinely cares about her clients, desires to get to know them, and wants the best for everyone. Unfortunately, she was booked for our date, but she took time out of her busy schedule on multiple occasions to speak with my fiancé and I on coordinating our big day.. who else has that compassion and good spirited ambition?! Amy is hands down the greatest and a must for your wedding and/or entertainment needs! -

Amy did an amazing job as the DJ and MC at our wedding. Amy truly goes above and beyond in every way. Leading up to the wedding, she made herself available to answer questions and offer planning advice. We worked with Amy during her transition to Polished Entertainment and were thrilled with what she provided. She worked with us during every step of the process and really wanted to get a feel for us as a couple so she could provide the best experience possible. Her uplighting was AMAZING. She has a gift to create such an elegant and unique space through the use of lighting. Our dance floor was never empty, and I mean never. At the end of the night we still have so many people dancing and enjoying themselves all thanks to Amy's wonderful DJing and MCing abilities. In the months leading up to the wedding we never worried that our guests wouldn't enjoy themselves because we had complete faith in Amy. She went above and beyond our expectations. As as same sex couple it was important for us to have someone who was comfortable at our wedding and would support us throughout the process. Cannot recommend Amy enough! -

A month before our wedding we received a call that all couples dread: our original DJ company had mistakenly overbooked their DJs and would no longer be available for our day. After the initial panic subsided, we reached out to our greater network in Madison (as we live in Washington D.C.) to find anyone, anyone who could possibly be available. We found Amy through mutual friends and even after explaining the situation, she calmly explained that it was most important that we matched as partners in the wedding, and if we did not, she would suggest others who could be available that weekend. This selflessness and refusal to take advantage of this stressful situation was the first of many remarkable talents we witnessed working with Amy.
She worked hard to make sure that she had a very clear understanding of what our musical tastes were. We certainly gave her quite the list of songs but she also filled in more than half of the playlist with choices curated around our interests: it was great. We had a busier than usual dance floor, and it was almost entirely due to the skill with which Amy lined up the songs and kept the energy going (without needing to interject commentary over every song). She even surprised up with a unique song to end the night -- it was perfect.
In the biggest sign of just how remarkable Amy is, we learned that the reason this weekend was open for her is that it was actually her birthday weekend but after hearing our circumstance, she felt compelled to help. It’s something very special when someone clear-eyed can say with assurance that their vendor became something very more: a person we’re very happy we could share our wedding with.
