Amazing photographer for family event

My siblings and I hired Pixie to photograph my father's surprise 70th birthday party. In addition to being a true professional, an artist, and a master of her craft, Pixie an absolute and utter delight to work with!! I knew from our first phone call that she would be the right person to capture the magic of our event. A lot of love went into the planning of the party, and it was truly a celebration of our dad. Pixie was able to capture with her camera the atmosphere of joy and the true expressions of love that were palpable during the party. These photos are a priceless treasure, as they will allow us to look back and revisit the gleeful smiles and hugs any time we wish. During the party, Pixie was simultaneously omnipresent and invisible, zipping around the hall capturing candid moments, as well as motivating (sometimes reluctant) guests to pose for pictures in front of a backdrop. Pixie quickly posted our photos to an online album, which is allowing us to effortlessly download and share the pictures with family and friends- this alone is a generous service that has added to our ease in working with her. We will be wholeheartedly recommending Pixie to other friends and family, and I look forward to working with her again someday!

An amazing event photographer...

In the process of photographing my son's bar mitzvah, and a photo shoot prior to that, Pixie was amazing, from start to finish. She was very professional, organized, and efficient...and was able to keep us on track, which is no easy task! At the same time, her enthusiasm, and obvious passion and excitement for what she does, shines through. The quality of her work is beautiful...she has a great eye for lighting and for detail. We will be using her photos to decorate our house, and to create gifts for years to come. We will be recommending her to our friends, family, and community members in need of an amazing photographer...

The Most Special Day

Pixie is a professional in ever sense of the word. In the weeks before the wedding she was thorough in helping us plan the photos we wanted and suggest things we might want. During the event, she was able to balance posing us with capturing us naturally. She was personable and a pleasure to work with. After the event she we had quick access to photos. Her site is easy to navigate and convenient enough for grandparents to use. I highly recommend Pixie Vision Photography if you ever need a photographer and I will be hiring her again.

Farewell Brunch for 100+, Photography and Service (Pre, During, & Post) Event Absolutely Phenomenal

During our most recent event, a Farewell Brunch for 100+ Guests, we were fortunate enough to have selected Pixie Vision Photography to capture important event details, special moments for our couple, and provide our couple and their guests with countless shots and beautiful photography from a monumental evening in their lives surrounded by 100+ people they love.

Pixie is an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a truly gifted photographer, with a passion for exceeding client expectations, while providing a warm and genuine helping hand in addition to capturing moments that only a handful of photographers in the world can.
Pixie's communication has been nothing less than excellent since day one. She responds in a timely manner, and makes it easy for you to communicate with her. She is always willing to jump on a call, quickly respond to a text, or even send a lengthy and detailed response via email.
As expected, on the day of the event she was dressed professionally and fashionably, prepared to capture photography with limited information, and she arrived early, and even provided a helping hand during event setup due to her beyond punctual arrival. She then provided photography that exceeded our client's expectations in an extremely timely manner.
While I am rarely at a loss for words to find 1 way in which a vendor can improve, Pixie has truly left me speechless. Gabriel is as amazing as it gets!

This is the second time we've seen Gabriel's work. He is by far THE BEST photographer you can ever have. With a family who loves to have they photo's taken every other second, he doesn't miss a beat in going off "script" for these random photo requests. My new husband and I chose Pixie as our wedding day photographer. Prior to our big day, she took time and care in understanding our vision for the photography. Pixie Vision truly raises the bar for professional photography. We worked with Gabriel from Pixie Vision for our wedding in Corona Del Mar. I'm so happy that my friend Eve recommended me Pixie. Pixie is such a great and professional photographer! She is a very energetic, passionate, enthusiastic, punctual, and easy-to-work with person. You can tell that she has a vision... Always knowing how and what angles to shoot the photos. She never ran out of ideas and always made everyone feel very comfortable and relaxed. My husband and Dad don't like to take photos, and I was worried when I told them that we were going to have a photoshoot. I thought that they would look so awkward in the photos, but the results were totally the opposite; both of them were very calm and comfortable with Pixie.

My family and I came a bit late to the wedding reception and Pixie was already shooting some photos of the decorations we had in the venue. She is very efficient and I can reassure you that she does not waste time.

Pixie is a diamond! She is funny, outgoing, strong, bossy, knows how to get everyone in order, makes everyone smile, has an amazing imagination, and really takes the most beautiful pictures. Pixie is AWESOME!! Her warmth, creativity and bubbly personality helped make our daughter’s wedding an amazing, joyous and memorable day. Absolutely stellar! We had a small wedding at a local tea venue. Pixie was there when the doors opened to make sure she was set up and could scout ideal places for the shoot. So impressed!
The prep up to the day, was also efficient and ultra organized. Complete with lists of people and groups to make sure we photographed, were established up front, so we wouldn't miss any shots on our wedding day.
No time was wasted on the wedding day, either. Pixie was up and about, covering every angle possible in the reception hall. Super creative and thoughtful shots were taken. She takes pride in her work and treats your even as if it were as special to her, as it is to you!

What do you get when you combine artistry, consummate professionalism & empathy in a photographer? Pixie. We couldn't have hired a better photographer for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. Pixie & her team captured not only all the important events of the day (and the essential family portraits), but also the small, insignificant but yet intimate ones. She was a master of lighting, able to discern where you would look the best. She was also able to capture all the spirit, love, awesomeness and friendships. Her team nudged us gently on our timeline, but always with patience and humor. When the final pics came, we marveled how she was everywhere at the same time, and how she was able to give different perspectives of the same event. Pixie is amazing!!! She was the photographer for our son's bar mitzvah on April 22nd and she has been so prompt about getting us the edited photos back. We couldn't be happier!! The pictures are beautiful and really capture the emotions of the day. On the day of, Pixie and her team shot portraits in the morning and then "action shots" at the evening party. She is tiny like a pixie doll but by far the most energetic person I've ever encountered, she rocks!!. I'm a professional photographer and I was reluctant to hire someone I hadn't worked with before, after all it was mydaughter's wedding. She came highly recommended and I now know why. Pixie brings a sense of joy and whimsy with her and this shows in her photography. When I was planning my fantasy themed wedding, I knew I needed a special photographer to capture the magic. As bride, I did not have access to a camera for most of my wedding, which was wonderful because it was the most amazing series of perfect joyous moments with family and friends in a garden setting that I was able to fully embrace without the distraction of trying to capture it! Pixie Vision Photography did a wonderful job capturing the essence (and people) of the wedding, from providing clear direction to the wedding party and guests through reviewing the thousands of photos taken and producing the very best. I found Pixie through Wedding Wire by searching local photographers’ wedding portfolios, and her work attracted me because of the skill at which she captures the personality of her subjects amidst the gorgeous wedding backgrounds. My wedding was one of the more traditional events that she captured (white dress, no costumes, and the span of my photograph poses is serious to smiling to sticking my tongue out), and she found and captured the magic of the garden setting I selected in her photographs. She has abundant energy and enthusiasm, and was skilled at directing our extensive family photographs so that we have shots where everyone actually has their eyes open and is looking towards the camera. My family has been raving about how amazing her photographs are as well – “outstanding photographer team – beautiful memories” “fantastic photographer”.
The groom’s perspective: Pixie Spindel and her team did a wonderful job capturing our wedding. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she invested a lot of time before the wedding making sure that we had a plan in place for all the photos, that we had a list of names and designated family members to help organize everyone for the family pictures, that we had planned out a list of locations for the photos to be taken. This preplanning was key to making the photos go quickly so we had both gorgeous photos and time to enjoy our wedding. We also took our engagement photos with Pixie.

Pixie photographed our May wedding and she did an amazing job! We were looking for a photographer that had more of an artistic approach to wedding photography, and Pixie made all of our wedding photos look magical. She is a very nice person to work with and was very organized throughout the process, and on the day of the wedding she was able to gather all the different groupings of our family and friends so that every guest was included. Wow where to start.

First off my husband and much of my family is very camera shy. I wanted your traditional wedding photos but needed to make sure it all wasn't a nightmare for my husband to be and family, Pixie was absolutely perfect! She got all the photos done quick and efficiently. Not to mention they all turned out so fantastic. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

From the start she worked with me and was quick to respond on all emails, she used a shared Google doc for many correspondences and I loved that. I could update her on everything as I was planning and she often times was responding immediately after so we could talk things over right there. Our wedding was in big sur and had a fairy/elf/gatsby theme and she had so many fun ideas for shots and also a parasol prop idea (which I am so happy I purchased because it looked stunning in all the shots she took)

From the minute she arrived at the wedding she never felt like the odd out of place photographer but fit right in which led to so many amazing candid photos. She made me laugh so much too which looked great as well.

Again she really was quick and listened to my concerns about my camera shy family. She got fantastic pictures of us all and made us all smile and laugh, not to mention she ended up teaching me about how I pose and what looks good (don't know of this was intentional or not but I now copy what she told me and all my pictures look much better now)

When it came time for her to edit, again she was quick and kept me involved and always listened to my concerns, likes, dislikes, all of it!

All the photos were like a dream come true and I could not be happier.

I highly recommend pixie, she's great, listens, quick and she's just supper fun as a person too. :)

There's a reason Pixie has 5 stars across the board on all these reviews - she's AMAZING! Once I saw her photos, I knew we wanted her as our wedding photographer. From the very start, she was super responsive and upfront with her contract, expectations, and price. She answered all of my questions ASAP and kept in communication with me throughout the process. She arrived early on the day of my wedding and we were able to get some amazing shots of my wedding party getting ready. Her second shooter and photo assistant were also friendly and easy to work with. Our photos are coming back, and I'm totally in love with them. Pixie may hear from me again in a few years for baby photos! She is a dream and I'm so happy she was there to capture our special day.

Pixie is a picture genius. My heart is bursting with excitement that we were able to arrange to have Pixie shoot our wedding. When the opportunity came to select- I though there would be no way we could swing it- but Pixie jumped on the phone right after an email and we talked through the budget and the wedding and what we could make happen. She's professional and is clear with direction and paper work. She knows exactly what she needs from us and what she can do for us and was thrilled and totally "got" the vision of what we want and is able to work with us through the ups and downs of the planning process.

Very cute and amazing photo we have~~!! I didn't expect will be so good! The light, the view and all guests are all perfect! We are lucky we book Pixie earlier, so she can follow our plan so well. If you need a special and different photos in your life memory, Pixie will be a good choice!

I just used Pixie as the photographer for my son's Bar Mitzvah. She was incredible. She created a Google document for us to send ideas back and forth to each other so by the time the event came around, we both knew exactly what would be happening, where she would be standing, who she'd be taking photos of, etc. She was unobtrusive, just as I asked, and took a lot of great candid shots, while also covering all the important moments. She will stop at nothing to get a good shot. At one point, she was on the ground with her shoes off! Lighting is very important to her and now that I've seen some of the photos, I wished I hadn't rolled my eyes every time she asked me to move to the left an inch. :) She knew what she was talking about! Typically, it takes a couple weeks to get your photos back, but I asked her to email me a few the next day just so we could get a sneak preview of what was to come. Instead, she sent me nearly 300 edited photos the next day, which was amazing because I still had family in town and we had a great time looking through them all together. She brought an assistant who was so much fun and got some amazing shots as well. They both seemed to be having a great time and to love what they do. It shows in the photos. I would definitely use her again!

When gay marriage became legal we knew we would have to get married…again. After deciding on a steampunk themed wedding and requiring our guests to come in costume, we knew the photographer would be the most important decision, so we contacted Pixie. From the first moment of contact we knew there was no one else we wanted to shoot our wedding. She was so enthusiastic and such a pleasure to work with, making herself affordable to us, and traveling from LA to Portland to shoot our wedding in the Rose Garden. Pixie told us that she hadn’t shot many queer weddings before, but we just knew that Pixie would be able to capture the essence of our relationship as well as the staging of our themed party. She did both magnificently! She was everywhere and saw everything! While Pixie was shooting behind-the-scene shots and capturing the amazing steampunk makeup and outfits of the wedding party, the second shooter took portraits and candids of our guests, who really went all out in their costumes. While we were still dressing, Pixie found the most adorable locations in the neighborhood and took amazing photos of the wedding party, including me. Pixie took phenomenal photos of me in my more traditional groom-wear. I have never been a very photogenic person, but Pixie flattered me in ways I wouldn’t have thought were possible. During the service, the pictures Pixie took were nothing short of inspired. She understood everything we were going for on an intuitive level. Despite being sick from an allergic reaction, Pixie didn’t miss a single moment or shot. Upon seeing the edited gallery we were thrilled that all the magic of the wedding was so clearly represented. From start to finish working with Pixie has been a truly outstanding experience and we feel honored to have the opportunity to work with her. She has clearly been an accomplished fantasy photographer and has quite the eye for weddings, and now she should also be lauded for her “queer eye for the wedding guy.”

Pixie was amazing to work with for our wedding photography! From all of the communication leading up to our big day to the direction given day of...our experience was A+ and the photos are beyond our greatest dream!
She captured the essence of our love so beautifully and the details we spent so much time incorporating into the day were also photographed in a way we never really expected to see on film. Our guests can't wait to get their hands on prints. So many people have commented that these photos are better than any of their own family portraits and they didn't even ask for it! My husband and I were introduced to Pixie as a possible wedding photographer, and we were sold on her from the first few minutes of our first phone call. She is energetic, thoughtful, creative, professional, timely -- everything that you could want in a photographer! (And her fees are incredibly reasonable compared to the market.) We had a very small ceremony not a big wedding and reception so she was able to capture my small ceremony beautifully. She created the most beautiful pictures. Pixie photographed my wedding. Not only was she a pleasure to work with, but she was so organized and professional. She has a great eye and gave us some wonderful memories of our wedding. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. She also made working with her very easy, which is much needed when planning a wedding!

She even did a wonderful job making do with finding a place to take the group photographs, as our venue didn't offer much, and I have to admit I was no help when it came to that. I am so thankful that she not only pulled it all off, but was so very nice, easy to work with, organized to boot, and delivered gorgeous photographs. I highly recommend her!

We wanted a costumed medieval wedding so we looked for a photographer that understood a creative themed wedding and memorable family portraits. Since we were from AZ, we wanted a local photographer to help sort out requirements, provide coordination between vendors and make suggestions for memorable shots.
We met with Pixie on a trip to LA at Tam O’Shanters for venue planning and evaluate lighting for the shots we wanted. She made a number of positive suggestions, and ensured we addressed any issues early.
We worked with Pixie to decide “must have shots” and realized we needed a second photographer to cover everything. On the day, they arrived early. From the wedding preparation and getting ready phase of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and bride, to the limo drive in, and set-up pictures at Tam’s, we received amazing pictures! Using her creative flair and in her fairy costume, Pixie ensured she and Sarah got all the pictures we wanted and more. She also took a number of “staged” family portraits within what seemed like a full photo studio! She fit right into the family theme seamlessly while making sure she was in the right place at the right time. This was a huge part of our wedding, the joining and celebration of two families while cloaked in our Medieval theme.
Once in the editing phase, Pixie collaborated with us to create truly memorable pictures that told our story of the day while enhancing the basic shots with many different techniques. Our family and friends also raved about how great she was and how comfortable she made everyone feel. Her ability to make everyone at ease and direct what to do for pictures created wonderful memories within the photos. Pixie was helpful, professional, and understood how to support our ceremony with style and grace. We would highly recommend Pixie from PixieVision as your photographer. She did everything she could to ensure she captured our special day with photos that we will always treasure.

Before the Wedding: Where do we begin to describe Pixie’s Photography service? In one word, awesome! We had our wedding on October 18, 2014 and even before Pixie became our wedding photographer, her professionalism shined through like a million stars. She met with us and diligently went over all the point-by-point details. She was very gracious to accommodate some of our rather quirky requests. She also devised an efficient and responsive way to communicate with us through the planning phase of the wedding. The entire process was remarkably seamless, all on a very reasonable budget. You should also consider an additional career in management consulting, Pixie!

Wedding day: She was on time, and spot on in getting all our shots, including family and friends. She was very supportive, as you might expect. She worked tirelessly and efficiently to make sure we got our sunset shots in before sundown. Her work was so outstanding that several of our guests commented on her professionalism and approach.

After the wedding: The proof is in the pudding, the pictures came out as gorgeous and timeless masterpieces. The sunset shots which she so energetically worked to help us get was the crowning joy of a remarkable photo shoot. She was also provided post-wedding support, she’s literally an email away on any questions and requests we have had. This says a lot about her that she continues to offer support long after the last wedding flowers have been removed.
Alas, it’s not possible to talk about Pixie Photography without talking about Pixie herself. As you might have gleaned from the review so far, her work is stellar. In addition, she is truly wonderful person with lots of joyous, positive energy. She is disciplined, courteous and a spectacular delight to work with. Without a doubt, Pixie exceeded our (high) expectations and we offer our strong recommendation of her photography service without any reservation whatsoever.

Pixie's vision, creative spirit, exuberance, and direction create an end result of near perfection. The pictures we have aren't just pictures, they are works of colorful art which we find ourselves still marveling at. The posed shots capture an inner essence of each person in them and the candid shots capture memorable moments that, to the naked eye, may have been a blur and forgotten. But instead that blur has been captured as a moment thankfully frozen in time for us to enjoy over and over again. Pixie was so easy to work with and gave me (the bride) such a sense of security that she had everything handled. Not only are her photos second to none but she even went so far as running damage control with a rental service that was running late. Pixie exudes a confidence in her direction that makes the photography move quickly while getting the perfect shots! We hired Pixie to photograph our wedding because her photos are simply beautiful, but what we got was So much more! This girl can multitask like no ones business! We only had a short time to take pictures before the reception, I couldn't believe how many shoots she was able to get done and every shot was more amazing than the next! There was so much going on with our reception and Pixie captured it all and with style! Pixie has an incredible gift for capturing perfect moments. She recently photographed our wedding here in upstate NY and her dedication to task, boundless energy for shooting, and ability to see and capture all the small details that went into such a momentous event were appreciated and surpassed our expectations. She even caught all the lil hand-made trinkets my mother made for the wedding!

Pixie is great at giving direction and letting people know what to do to look good on film-good at keeping them from getting stale or being full of forced smiles. For some people it may take a moment to get used to having such valuable verbal information immediately available during the shoot- but when she lets you check out the image it becomes clear she is leading you with precision and vision in mind- and that your collection of images will be better off for it. She was also great at capturing natural moments as they occurred and harnessed the true magic in each individual.

The collection that was given to us after they were edited is UNBELIEVABLE! Pixie's artistic strides and ever changing perfect placement around the event allowed her to beautifully suspend our wedding in time for us.

I could not recommend anyone more prepared to archive one of the most special days of your life.

Pixie was the photographer at my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and I highly recommend her services. She was thorough, easy to work with, totally professional, and took some amazing pictures. I like the fact that she was not only traditional in her approach, but also artistic and we have some really beautiful and unexpected images that captured the feeling of the day. Pixie photographed my wedding in January, and I couldn't have made a better choice. As soon as I spoke to her on the phone, I knew that she was going to be my photographer. She had a very cheerful, friendly attitude and I could tell it would be very easy to communicate with her. I was really happy with how organized she was. She stayed in touch from the time I booked her to the wedding, and sent me reminders for the things that needed to be done, like the shot list, day-of schedule, etc. I am very glad for this, as I had so many other things to worry about. She tried to really get a feel of my style and do whatever I wanted.

On the day of the wedding, Pixie was amazing. She had a cheerful, energetic attitude and took many pictures. She was great with her instructions for the poses, and was very good communicating with us. It was obvious that she was really enjoying what she was doing, and had many ideas, but she was also very mindful of what I wanted. She had a lot of great ideas for shots, and I was really amazed with the end results! I am not very photogenic and have a hard time posing and smiling, so it was amazing to see me in great poses and with a smile on my face that did not look remotely dorky, all because of Pixie’s tireless instructions and reminders. It is also worth mentioning that Pixie got my pictures to me within a month of my wedding. Everyone just loved the pictures, and they were truly amazed by how fast I got them. In the end, I’m so glad I chose Pixie not only because she was so easy to work with, but also because she captured the feel of the wedding so well with all its emotional, funny, glamorous moments, that it all comes to life again when I look at the pictures.

I was asking around for an event photographer and Pixie came recommended by two different sources, so I called her up. She was friendly, professional, and incredibly flexible. In fact, she exceeded my (let's face it, pretty high) expectations at every turn. She's delightful, attentive, thorough, manages to capture genuine warmth and hilariously fun moments without embarrassing anyone (a laudable and handy skill, as the party wears on and the guests get more and more inebriated). We got married on a tight budget, and quite honestly, Pixie is the one service that cost us anything at all, and believe me it was more than worth it! Originally we were going to simply ask our relatives to take photos and share them on instagram, but asides from knowing I would only get to see the photos on instagram or facebook, I knew the quality would below average.

I've known Pixie for years and have had the pleasure of being photographed by her for my band projects years ago, but I never experienced her in an event like a wedding. She was a delight and completely part of the experience. Everyone loved her! And her assistant Mari was fabulous too! But the photos they took revealed an even more magical memory than my own mind had recorded.

I am so glad I invested in her services. Video is great, but photos can be displayed and looked at often and quickly. These are photos I will share with my children and grand children! She captured our personalities and our joy perfectly! And where my husband usually doesn't like to pose, her really enjoyed working with Pixie! I am amazed she got him to participate so eagerly!

I was recommended to use Pixie for my wedding by my best friend and Maid of Honor. I spent countless hours online looking at the various popular wedding photographers. I wanted someone who was able to do great Black and White/vintagey and super saturated colorful lively pictures. I searched and searched and rarely found anyone who even did well done and not contrived pictures that looked vintage and when I did find the one or two that did, they were only good at that style and did not have any of the normal wedding style with family pictures.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Pixie also featured on OffBeat Bride numerous times as well and fell in love with her style of photography. I had a great conversation with her about what I was looking for and immediately felt like she could see my vision and make it happen for me. We decided to not do a videographer in order to save money and the photos had to be just right.

My photos literally look like a magazine cover of Italian Vogue. I can not express my gratitude to Pixie enough for making me, my husband and our families look amazing. I could not recommend her enough. Her portfolio is extensive and speaks for itself. She is such a brilliant, bright ball of creative and positive energy that she made the day go smoothly and she made it fun! Pixie was the only Photographer I wanted for my wedding. She is a wonderful photographer who knows how to blend into the wedding, and still capture amazing photos.

Her and her assistant were a pleasure at the wedding, and I love the photos I've received. She is wonderful at replying via email. The day of the wedding she is very direct when giving feedback on portrat shoots, and set up our "1st look photo." We appreciated her direction being neither my Groom or I are models.

We were amazingly impressed with both the quality and creativity of our wedding photos. We can't say enough good things about Pixie and her work. She was incredibly well organized leading up to the event, at the event and after. She helped us plan everything out before so it wasn't stressful the day of.

Pixie's energy and enthusiasm make incredible things happen in front of the camera. I'm still in awe of some of the photos and moments she captured. During the wedding I did not remember seeing her once, and some of the photos are so close and so intimate. She was completely unobtrusive, everywhere all at the same time, her angles and composition are flawless, and her post work magical! You will get so much value for your money, she will be the only vendor to give you MORE than what you expect. Her professionalism, her keen eye, her speed, her amazing personality. Pixie is one of a kind and stands on her own in this field.

Pixie is a wonderful artist and image maker--however, what surprised me was how she managed to capture images I had no idea she was even around for! She was a wonderful addition to our wedding day and we are forever grateful for the memories she has captured for us for a lifetime of sharing and enjoying!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about Pixie. She was punctual and calming. She was professional. She was polite. She works fast. She has a great attitude. AND SHE TAKES FANTASTIC PICTURES. She shot my wedding on Thursday, edited the shoot on Friday, had the online album to me by Saturday, and then later that day had the hi-res dvd in the mail. We got so many compliments on the photos. I am incredibly happy with the results. I highly recommend her.

Pixie was my dream wedding photographer! She is the most passionate and inspiring photographer, EVER! She really cares about the quality and artistry of every single photograph she takes. Thankfully, Pixie asked all the right questions, so that we got all the types of pictures we wanted. We just had our Faerie / Viking Enchanted Forest Masquerade themed wedding in Mt Shasta. We were not only lucky enough to have a magical wedding that everyone enjoyed, we had the incomparable Pixie there to capture it all! We knew of Pixie’s work long before we got engaged. We were overjoyed when we found out she was not only available, but as excited about our themed wedding as we were! She is very organized and efficient. She returns emails & phone calls promptly. Pixie had us create a must have shot list before the wedding. The day of the wedding, she was up at dawn, taking beautifully composed shots of our invitation, rings, wedding decorations and the grounds. Her eye for detail is impeccable. Pixie was wonderful with our guests as she directed the shots. Firm, but polite and very funny! She made us all feel at ease as she got not only the shots on our list, but many, many more! Pixie knows how to tell a story in every picture. Even in the more formal wedding portraits, there is always something interesting happening in the photo. And as far as vanity goes: her glamour bridal shots of me were breathtaking! She made me look and feel gorgeous! The best part of all were the pictures of my husband and I after the ceremony. It was as though she directed a little movie! She created a story that captured the essence of our relationship. The pictures are unbelievably beautiful and remind us of movie stills! And later during our Masquerade parade & reception she truly captured the magic of the event. She made every guest look & feel like a rockstar as they showed off their costumes! We had a challenging wedding to photograph: outdoor & indoor in various locations throughout the entire day and into the night. She didn’t miss a moment: our kiss, my mothers toast, and my favorite: my laugh as my husband dipped me during our first dance! As a whole, if you look at our album you will see that she not only got ALL of the requisite shots, she got them artistically. She also got several shots we hadn’t even thought of. She put them all together and created a wonderful narrative of our special day. We thought we had hired a wedding photographer, but after viewing the photos (already edited, and online!) we feel like we commissioned a work of art.

Pixie photographed our wedding in Laguna Beach, Ca. She is a fantastic photographer and I would highly recommend her. Pixie has a way of making you feel like you are "at the wedding" when you look at her photographs. She has a gift for editing to make your pictures look amazing without completely changing your face. She is upbeat, energetic, and has a lot of patience (which is very important during stressful events like weddings!) My husband and I were extremely pleased with Pixie! She was easy to get ahold of, with the stress of the wedding I preferred communicating through emails and Pixie always returned emails promptly (as I think she checks them from her phone), and she was in contact from the day we considered booking her all the way to the day of our wedding. Our photo's were edited and posted on a website the very next day for family to view and our photos were waiting for us at our house when we came home from the honeymoon. Besides just being prompt, the photo's turned out so amazing! I seriously felt like a moviestar when I saw the pictures of myself. My entire family came up to me at different times of the night and told me how impressed they were with Pixie, she was everywhere! She was polite, professional, but above all she was genuinely excited for us and when she'd capture "THE SHOT" she was visibly thrilled! She genuinely loves her job and it really shows. Our wedding was on a small yacht so we had a very limited time slot for the ceremy and reception, Pixie had us make a list of must have shots and we hit them all and then some in no time. She is very organized, and has an excellent eye. The photos of our guests were even phenominal! Her prices might seem high at first, but trust me, my mother urged me to shop around (even though I already knew I wanted Pixie) and every other photographer I found that I would trust to capture the most important day of my life charged either as much or more than Pixie does. I hope you'll check out the wedding albums on her website, I guarantee you'll be impressed! My husband was sold as soon as he saw her website. My photo's were romantic, fun, fresh, and full of the happy energy of our big day! Guarantee yours will be too!

Since I only had 5 weeks to plan my wedding, I was in a bit of a bind to find lots of critical vendors for my wedding. Fortunately I have very creative friends, that when I asked about a good photographer, they told me there's only one photographer to hire. Pixie was the one and only. The wedding was at our newly remodeled home and Pixie was able to maneuver all around in the limited space. She captured the essence of the day to a tee. She was great with the family & wedding guests, (even got my brother to smile). She even found out that we have a cat and asked me to bring her out and went to town with my husband & kitty & I. I loved her for that, not thinking that I would love the wedding photos of my kitty. It was also noted by my husband, how creative she is with very mundane backgrounds. Just to let you know, Pixie also accommodated my schedule with her's and she was unbelievable with only 3 hours of sleep due to the prior engagement's location. Organized. Extremely efficient and prompt. Happy and cheerful! Innovative. Professional. I've been in other wedding parties with other photographers are they all pale in comparison! Pixie came recommended to us by friends in California who had been at weddings where she was the photographer. Once I looked at her portfolio, we just knew that we wanted her to be our photographer. She was incredibly professional, attentive and worked with us to get amazing photographs from our wedding. We dug her so much that when she was visiting Minneapolis last summer, we booked time with her for family potraits of my husband and our two dogs :)

Pixie is, in one word, AMAZING. I've been a huge admirer of her work for years and was thrilled that she was able to fit us in, despite a much bigger event later in the day. (Thank goodness we had a day wedding!) Her photos completely capture the essence of the day - joyful, whimsical and sweet. When I met Pixie I was very excited to have her as my wedding photographer, realizing, that the photographer would be a huge part of my day, in my face and behind the scenes the whole time. You bet I wanted her excitement, warmth, enthusiasm, and experience. It was like hiring that perfect best friend out of a romantic comedy about weddings.

Photography-wise, as soon as I booked Pixie for my wedding, I breathed a sigh of relief. No matter what went wrong with the wedding, it was going to look amazing! All the DIY touches and eccentric surprises were captured perfectly. While there were tons of small things that went wrong with the wedding day, none of it shows on our smiling faces in Pixie's photographic vision.

The photos that we received are a drool worthy collection of fairy tale images. They are available to view on her site. It's not an exaggeration when I say Pixie's photography was the highlight of the wedding experience.

When I asked people what their favorite part of the wedding day was, obviously it was not the photographer, but most people mentioned Pixie's happiness and energy as point three or four of what stood out in the day. She was able to work both adults and small children into happy poses. The enjoyment and enthusiasm was authentic. Pixie and her assistant got so swept up in the day they took the plunge with us, fully clothed, into the pool. What a great shot!

When the wedding process started for me I had to be talked into spending more money on a photographer by my fiance and family. I thought we'd just hire some student with a camera. Then I was told that we were spending all this money on the wedding and the pictures were the things that would live on. Now that I am on the other side I'm impressed by how little the cost actually was for all the photography work and all the loving retouch work on hundreds of photographs.

If you are lucky enough to book her, don't hesitate.

I’m so happy we were able to have Pixie capture our love. From the moment I spoke to her over the phone we CLICKED. SHE GOT ME. she was able to capture us for real I’m from the west coast and my HTB is from the east coast; and it so happens so is she. So we are the best of both world captured by someone who lived in both worlds. Her prices are well worth it. We got a pretty quick turn around for our engagement photos. I’m excited I’m just a few more days she will capture or ceremony. I can’t wait. She has an AWESOME personality and was able to get my old man out of his shell. Pixie is well worth the investment.

Pixie was fantastic! When I first reached out to her, I didn't think I'd be able to afford her services because of the quality of her photos, but when she asked me what my budget was she was eager to make it work. We primarily communicated via email and google drive (mainly to list ideas for photos) and she arrived early on the day of our wedding. Pixie is a ball of energy and could be somewhat pushy at times in order to fit in all of the photos we wanted in the amount of time we had, but doing so produced a TON of wonderful pictures for us to choose from. Pixie would also suggest a few last minute ideas for photos--she is very artistic/creative. It's now been a month since our wedding and we have already received a flash drive with all of our photos-- unedited, low resolution social media, and edited versions. Thanks Pixie!
