We would recommend Ronald to any couple who was looking for an intimate and special wedding ceremony outside of a religious setting. We wrote our own vows and Ronald was able to so perfectly fit them into our own custom ceremony and allowed us to pick and choose things that were important to us. He was able to come to our Rehearsal as well, and we felt at complete ease and stress free as soon as we met him! He was always so responsive and helpful and genuinely invested in our special day, which was so appreciated. In addition, he also provided us with so much information on our Marriage Certificate and how to change my last name! We would give him 10 Stars if we could!

We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! From the very start, Ronald was incredibly responsive and made the entire process of planning our ceremony completely stress free. He provided several beautiful options for us to customize our ceremony and was more than happy to incorporate my personal changes, making it feel truly our own.
He has such a warm, genuine presence and a wonderful voice that added so much to the intimacy of our small courthouse wedding. When I first met him, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. He instantly put us at ease and helped calm any pre-wedding jitters.

Working with Ronald was absolutely wonderful! We wanted to ensure we could find an officiant who actually cared about us as a couple and we found that in Ronald. More than we could have hoped for
We booked a spot at Phipps for the pop-up weddings and were lucky enough to have Ron as our officiant. Life happens between plans
We were not looking for an officiant, planning to go with a Court / judge appointment for our oficial (government recognized) wedding.

Sunny and stunning February wedding!
I could not wait to write this review as I have been in contact with Minister Cambest for a few years now. After my first engagement fell through in 2020, Ron reached out and offered counseling and advice when it was a very difficult time. It was the easiest decision I ever made for an officiant for my wedding this year and my new husband and I are happy beyond words. The ceremony went as planned and through it all Minister Cambest was kind and helpful. Everyone on both sides of our family complimented Ron's overjoyed and fun personality. The ceremony did not take long but the memories of our wedding will last a lifetime. I recommend every couple take the time in choosing their wedding officiant but Ron is the absolute best choice. He is a truly wonderful person and you will not be disappointed!

Made our day perfect!
We planned our wedding at Phipps long distance. Ron made the options of services easy, and allowed us to make any changes we wanted for what to include or exclude; it was totally up to us. As the day approached, since we had never crossed paths with Ron in our every day lives, we met up for coffee a couple days prior to our ceremony. It was very much like catching up with an old friend...which put us at ease. Through the whole process, Ron was available for answering any questions or talking through anything we needed to. His experience and guidance kept us from forgetting anything. Our guests remarked how the ceremony just fit us and our personalities. He felt like family at the end of the ceremony as we were saying our goodbyes.

A wonderful wedding officiant
We had Minister Ronald J. Cambest BSW officiate our 2/22/2024 wedding at River Forest Country Club. Our relative that is involved in videography for weddings had great words to say about him as an officiant and we were quick to reach out in hopes he could be there for our day. Our wedding was planned in less than a month and we were both nervous on finding an officiant. After reaching out, Minister Cambest was fast to respond in great detail about everything. Minister Cambest was fantastic to work with. He made planning our ceremony so incredibly easy it was one of the things I never had to worry about. He had provided plenty of options for us to choose from in regards to ceremony, readings, and vows. He even let me add in/reword a few things with no problem at all. We enjoyed meeting Ronald and having him be the officiant at our wedding on December 17, 2022 at Fairmont Pittsburgh downtown. He arrived early to ensure that we knew where to stand and went over things, which I appreciated a lot and it made me have less stress. He a friendly and fun guy, really nice. Working with Ron was a wonderful experience. Meeting him for the first time, you could feel the warmth and genuineness he brings into his work. It was important for us to find someone who honored and understood the way our faith has shaped our relationship, and he did just that.
He walked us through the process of creating our ceremony script with scripture, poems and professional insight, handled sending our marriage license paperwork to the court, and provided resources for post-wedding name change and license acquisition. You could feel that he was genuinely grateful to be a part of our story

Minister Cambest was absolutely fantastic from the moment he responded to my inquiry email. He sent me scripts of various ceremonies, vow options, and readings. My fiancé and I were able to pick out exactly what wanted to be said during our ceremony. Minister Cambest’s services were extremely affordable as well. Delight to work with and a perfect ceremony
Ok, getting a minister should be easy right? We're in love and God is love; what's not to like?! Oh brother, finding the right minister was not easy. I'm from out of town, so the church here, even though the same denomination as the one to which I belong back home, had multiple page questionnaires, counseling, meetings, etc. We would have had to spend hours or days proving to a stranger (who I don't think was married) we were good enough to be married by him (and make a big donation to the church). A few were ego maniacs. A few I doubt owned a Bible or any other religious text. Some looked scary. Some seemed drugged. Some were angry anti-establishment types. Some were "hippies" in a strange time warp from the 70s. They undoubtedly drove a DeLorean and would time travel to our wedding. Some had a "one service fits all" approach.
But NOT Minister Cambest.
Minister Cambest was easy to work with. Everything was in writing and promptly sent via email. We had our choice of many services and we could personalize our service to our heart's content, and we did--even at the last minute when a friend wanted to read a poem in the service. Rev. Cambest was engaging and connected with our guests. He was kind and friendly. He showed up perfectly attired and groomed. That may seem shallow to mention, but he's in all our vow pictures so that matters! There was no prepayment--we just paid him after the ceremony. Many of our guests commented on what a great minister we had and how perfect the service was.
I think so too--our service was perfect! But then I'm biased. Thank you Rev. Cambest!

Ron is a total class act as a wedding officiant who adds charming touch with a great tone of voice and shining smile. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted, short, sweet and personal. Minister Cambest was absolutely perfect. He worked with us to develop the perfect ceremony, kept us in the loop on everything the whole way along as well. His professionalism shined exceptionally during the ceremony. We were outside and he projected his voice loud enough for all to hear, he was clear and humorous when needed. Perfect Officiant!
Our journey with Rev. Cambest started way back in February of 2020. Our original wedding date was supposed to be 7/18/20, but of course that was delayed because of covid. Rev. Cambest didn’t miss a beat and was super accommodating during our transition to a new date. He laid out all of our options and was able to work around our preferences with ease. I forgot to mention that the time of the ceremony changed as well as the date. This was not communicated to Rev. Cambest until less than 2 hours before the event, and he still showed up on time! He’s very well spoken and charismatic, and we will never forget the ceremony he gave us.

He provided examples we could use as guidance in outlining our ceremony and was very responsive with any questions we had along the way. Minister cambest did an AMAZING job officiating our July 2021 ceremony. He was very responsive and kind over email and even more friendly in person. Minister Cambest was the absolute BEST. We were so lucky/happy to have him officiate our wedding. He came to talk with me and my fiancé separately before the ceremony, such a positive, kind hearted person. Gave excellent advice for how to do segments of the ceremony (especially for being at Phipps Conservatory for a rose ceremony and unity candle ceremony). So nice and kind, helps the Groom calm down before the ceremony. No rehearsal required and it went smoothly. Provided our marriage license to our county immediately with no issues. A truly wonderful experience.
I can not express how pleased I am with every aspect of Ronald’s officiant service. After having an officiant cancel weeks before our wedding, Ronald stepped up on short notice. Absolutely Amazing Experience!
Minister Cambest was absolutely amazing to work with and made our wedding day that much better! He was responsive to all of our many questions, and was flexible with our requests. On the day of our wedding, he arrived timely, checked in on both of us and walked through what we could expect during the ceremony and after with paperwork. We used Ronald for a traditional ceremony. He was truly great in all aspects. He is very personable, a great speaker, took time to mingle, and get to speak with our guests. Ron made us feel 1000% comfortable, and left us with zero to guess, second guess, or worry about.

Wonderful and Worry-free
My husband and I were married by Minister Cambest during COVID, and he made our experience personalized and so easy. The process of creating our ceremony was organized and flexible. We had a ton of options for services and vows, as well as the flexibility to include our own touches. Minister Cambest was warm, kind and funny. He spent time with both my husband and with me before the ceremony to answer questions and put our nerves at ease. His ceremony was beautiful and such a wonderful way to start our new chapter. We highly recommend him to couples planning their wedding!

Absolutely Amazing Ceremony!
Ronald really did his research for our ceremony (we jumped the broom) and could truly tell he enjoyed officiating our wedding/really loves his job. We all had a blast!

Amazing wedding ceremony
Throughout our entire wedding planning, Rev. Cambest was there the whole time. Despite having to push back the date of our wedding due to COVID, he worked with us on our new date. He made the ceremony go so smooth and we felt extremely comfortable the entire time. I would recommend him to anyone!

My ceremony was beautiful!
Ronald was excellent on my wedding day! He was very pleasant and friendly. He reassured me when the coronavirus pandemic happened and I didn’t know if my day would be ruined. He kept the ceremony sweet and short! I continue to get compliments on how much everyone loved the ceremony. I will definitely recommend him to anyone that needs his services!

Absolutely amazing!
Ronald was fantastic! He checked in with us numerous times leading up to and the day of our wedding and while I tend to be slow with responses, he was always charming and respectful! Ron is the best!
I cannot recommend Ronald enough. He was professional, articulate, funny and overall a great honor to be at our wedding. We had a little reservation with our ceremony and vow because we added some cultural elements that may not flow well with the template that Ron provided. But he made it work and his delivery was phenomenal. If you are getting married in Pittsburgh, like I said, I cannot recommend him enough.

Amazing service
Rev Cambest was very helpful and friendly during the entire wedding planning process — he completely took away the stress of the hour before the ceremony and helped get everyone organized. We ended up changing our venue a month before the wedding due to COVID-19, and Mr. Cambest was flexible and positive through the whole process. Thank you for the best day!!!

The Absolute Best
Minister Cambest was absolutely fantastic to work with. We worked with him for about a year and a half for our 5/30/20 wedding to put together our most perfect ceremony, a mixture of traditional and non-traditional, but full of showing who we are as a couple... then covid hit. There are not enough stars in the world when it comes to rating his flexibility. We had a small ceremony in my parents backyard with our big wedding postponed until 2021. We were so grateful when Minister Cambest was willing to travel about an hour out of his way to accommodate us. He put together the perfect ceremony script for us. We were even more excited to find out he was available for our 2021 date to do a “vow renewal” with our original ceremony script and to incorporate our original wedding day into it. We cannot recommend Minister Cambest enough. We truly lucked out by finding him and cannot wait to work with him again for our postponed wedding!!
I would highly recommend him to anyone who is getting married. He was professional, kind, fun, and made everything smooth.

Getting married during a pandemic made easy!
I’m so thankful I found Ron Chambest to marry my husband and I during the Covid pandemic. He made everything so easy and just what we wanted. He was very quick to respond, we were on a bit of a time crunch. He met us a week later! I’m finally married and I can’t be happier. Thank you, again.

Amazing Minister
Minister Cambest was amazing. He preformed our pandemic wedding at our home while social distancing. It was just us, my parents and Minister Cambest. He was very reasonable with the price of his services. I had quotes of over $600 for the 10 minutes ceremony we had imagined which was crazy! He preformed the perfect ceremony for us and didn't cost us an arm and a leg which was very important to us. I would recommend him to anyone for any size wedding. Thank you Minister Cambest!
