We had the best day celebrating our wedding at Pittsburgh botanic garden. We held our entire reception in the barn and it was the perfect space for our intimate wedding. The staff were very helpful throughout the whole process and our rehearsal and wedding day flowed so smoothly. Also there are so many beautiful locations on site for pictures. I would highly recommend having your wedding or other special event here! -

PBG was such a beautiful wedding for our wedding on 5/20/2023. We loved being able to make the space our own and have both indoor and outdoor options. We also had so many great spots throughout the garden for photos as well. Having preferred vendors for rentals and catering also made coordinating easy. The events team was also very easy to work with as well. Thank you for giving me my dream wedding! -

The most naturally beautiful, rustic venue for your wedding!
This venue is an absolute dream! The team we had leading up to the big day and the day of (thank you Emily, Jenna, and Abby!!) is what makes this place work, and they all seem to be seasoned and professional. Everyone is very nice, always willing to lend a hand, and open to all questions. That’s not even to mention the space itself is stunningly beautiful; whether you’re inside or outside, the place is gorgeous. The customization lent by Ambassador Tent Rental is very handy too, and you can completely make the space your own and exactly what you want. -

The Botanic Garden was a fantastic spot for our wedding 10/6/22. We had less than 20 guests, but the staff made sure to treat it just as special as a wedding with 200 guests. Everyone we worked with was kind, professional, knowledgable, and easy to work with. They were totally on board with whatever we chose whether it was traditional or not. They worked well with our families and wedding planner. The do require you pick vendors from a list, but the ones we used (Ambassador Tent Rental and Rania's Catering) were wonderful. The day was a dream come true and we'd recommend the venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous and easy outdoor venue for their special day. -

The minute that we toured Pittsburgh Botanic Garden we knew it was the perfect place for our September wedding. We planned out wedding mostly on our own and they were so helpful from start to finish. They recommended vendors, promptly replied to even the smallest questions and really made our day perfect. Gina W. was our on site lead for the day of and she did a spectacular job the entire weekend! She really put our minds at ease and adapted quickly to any changes or issues that came up. We were thrilled with the service and would choose PBG again in a heart beat! -

We held our wedding at PBG in May 2022 after two years of waiting. It was well worth it! The venue is a fairytale dream come true — elegance held in a secret garden atmosphere. Working with Emily and the event staff was easy from beginning to end. We took photos in the Japanese garden and the meadows, and the convenience of having everything in one spot was SO nice! We also had a quartet and band, and the acoustics sounded great. There’s a reason many weddings are held here, book today! -

10/10 from every angle
Three cheers for the team at PBG! Thank you so much to Ashley, and Bailey who helped make our wedding absolutely perfect. From the start when we toured the venue with Ashley, we knew PBG was going to be fabulous to work with. During our tour Ashley shared tips and tricks on things like shuttles and catering, all the while also making sure we felt at ease/not pressured to make an immediate decision (Even though we did! Since we loved it so much).
Having an outdoor wedding was important to my husband and I since one of the things we love the most is to be outside together (hiking, biking, climbing). PBG struck the perfect balance, filled with flowers/plants/wildlife, outdoors, a little rustic, but all within a 30 minute drive of downtown Pittsburgh.
Throughout the planning process Ashley and the PBG team were fantastic—super organized. They kept our planning on course and were flexible when a few weeks before the wedding we realized we needed to add on a set-up package given the reality of our day of timeline. I’ll also say this was all during the 2021 wedding season, which was crazy due to the number of weddings postponed due to COVID like ours.
During the rehearsal and on the day of, the whole team was great! The rehearsal and drop off of decor/alcohol was smooth and every detail was placed as if a family member had done so.

The Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens was our dream venue, and it exceeded all of our expectations! Ashley and her team were so helpful in all aspects. They were kind, joyful, and helped everything run smoothly on the big day. We had on and off rain and they had several back up plans ready to go. The entire facility - gardens, barn, tent, etc. have so much natural and timeless beauty! We also got the yard games and our guests loved them, especially the corn hole! We can’t wait to go back and visit over the years. -

My husband and I got married at the Pittsburgh botanic garden on October 11, 2019! it was a beautiful Fall day!! The venue looked so beautiful! It was the perfect balance of outdoor elegance that we were looking for! Colleen and Ashley and their entire team were amazing to work with! They accommodated us several times during our wedding planning process to measure or walk around, whatever we needed to do! It truly is a hidden gem in pittsburgh! We would do it all over again if we could!!! -

PBG is such a beautiful and versatile venue and it’s so convenient to be able to do the ceremony, photos, and reception all at one place. Ashley and Colleen are so nice and easy to work with and responded to all questions so timely! Janelle Sent on 08/27/2018Like most couples, we were looking for a venue that we were both excited about, particularly something a little rustic and outdoorsy. I'm so glad I found the Botanic Garden! The staff was helpful and informative on our initial tour, the price was very reasonable, and the booking process was smooth and easy. Our wedding day was beautiful, and this venue was a perfect, beautiful setting. We got many compliments from our guests--some asked how we found it and others were impressed. And our pictures are gorgeous. -

We got married at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden this September, and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! We had two main criteria when selecting our venue: 1) it had to be outdoor but with a very solid indoor backup plan (because Pittsburgh weather) and 2) the ceremony had to be pet friendly so we could include our dog. PBG met both of these requirements and and then some!! The venue layout is amazing and accessible, the events team was wonderful to work with and always quick to respond to our questions, and overall everything was just so so beautiful. I highly recommend this venue! -

I can't recommend the Botanic Garden enough as a wedding venue. It was pricier than other venues we looked at but so worth it for the space and for the services you get. Obviously the space is beautiful but the staff was really amazing. They met with us to organize our timeline for the day and go over everything in advance, coordinated with our vendors, and basically made us feel totally at ease with how the wedding was going to go. Day-of the staff and Emily in particular was with us every step of the way, making sure things ran smoothly, getting us to the right place at the right time, and organizing everything. We also got driven around on a golf cart for our photos which meant we really got to use the Botanic Garden space and get some amazing pictures. -

The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is a beautiful place. The Davidson Event Center (barn) is rustic and comforting, while accommodating the modern needs of a memorable wedding. The gardens are well-tended, the seasonal flowers are always breathtaking, and the inherent construction and quality in their space lends to an amazing venue. When planning a 2020 wedding, their coordination and flexibility were invaluable, allowing us to change our date 3 times to accommodate safety precautions. Their event staff are experienced and helpful, and have what they need to support you as you celebrate on a potentially hectic day! They will work with your entertainment and photography crew to help you get the most out of everything the garden has to offer.

First on a positive note - the PBG was the perfect venue for us. We are very outdoorsy people and loved being able to incorporate the outdoors with the safety of inside for weather. It was so gorgeous, unique, and US! We hosted our rehearsal dinner in the new welcome center, which was a perfect addition to our weekend. The majority of the staff was phenomenal to work with, very professional and you could tell they knew what they were doing.
However, we did have one pretty major hiccup. On the rehearsal night I was told that my coordinator, Emily (who I had been working with for months), would not be there for the wedding as she was working a different wedding elsewhere. She handed her duties off to Noel for the wedding day. Noel never really introduced herself to me and did not know many of the details of the wedding. During the wedding day she seemed frustrated and very unhelpful and not friendly to my bridal party and my parents!! (an example is my father is handicapped, she wouldn't open the barn door to let him in and said he had to walk all the way around the venue to enter. Thankfully our caterer let him in to make it easier. This is the FATHER of the GROOM and she couldn't accommodate him).
I hate even taking a star off my review because the day was perfect and the venue was amazing. It was unfortunate to have that experience with a staff member, I'm sure the change of plans was stressful for her too... but unfortunate for us.
Other than that I recommend this venue 10/10! Its beautiful, romantic, and perfect. -
