Carly's work was nothing short of exceptional! The girl is an artist!
She was incredibly flexible! When we decided to change the ceremony time to earlier in the day just the night before, she readily adjusted her plans to accommodate our vision. Carly arrived bright and early in the morning. Her adaptability and dedication helped make our day unforgettable.

Cannot say enough positive things about Carly and her team! They were on time, professional, and so patient! I really appreciated how flexible they were. Unlike other wedding hair/makeup vendors, they didn't have a minimum and that was really helpful as we needed to figure out who wanted which services. I had a great experience with Carly and her team from scheduling hair and makeup trials to the actual day itself. She is down to earth and easy to talk to which made me feel instantly comfortable. The price for everything was extremely reasonable and she was able to accommodate an early arrival for my morning wedding. Her and Lauren completed 4 makeup looks and 3 hairstyles for the big day and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how everything turned out. A Perfect Day!

Perfect Experience
Like many brides during COVID, wedding plans did not go as planned. My partner and I opted for an intimate “micro-wedding” with close friends and family - pretty last minute.
Carly & Lauren were amazingly flexible and willing to work me into their schedule - they even fit me in for a hair & make-up trial! They were both extremely kind and are SO good at what they do. My hair and make-up was better than I could have imagined. I received so many compliments on the day off (and even now as we look through photos). Everything stayed put the entire evening (despite the heat and humidity of DC in June).
I would definitely go back to Carly & Lauren for future events if needed. They are SO amazingly talented, and I highly recommend Pins-N-Brushes.

Carly and Lauren and their teams did hair and makeup for myself, the MOB, MOG, and 10 bridesmaids. They were incredible! I was so impressed with Carly and Lauren when they did my trial. They were able to make minor tweaks on the day of when I asked for them and my look was exactly what I wanted. As a Type A person, I was so grateful that they were able to keep everyone on schedule- and actually ahead of schedule! They were flexible and able to switch between two locations- the hotel and then the reception venue- since we could not get into the reception venue until later in the morning. From the start, Carly was professional and communicative and completely put my mind at ease. Everyone was so pleased with their hair and makeup!

We were lucky enough to find Pins N Brushes through a personal recommendation from a friend. From our trials to the actual wedding day, Carly and her team were so fantastic to work with! I leaned on her for her professional recommendations with my bridal look, but she was very receptive to feedback and I walked away looking and feeling like an absolute princess.
We chose to also do trials for me (bride) and my mom, which I would highly recommend! Book Pins-N-Brushes ASAP
I can't recommend Carly and the Pins-N-Brushes team enough! We were one of the lucky couples that had to replan our wedding for June 6 due to all of the COVID chaos. Originally we planned for our wedding to be held at an upscale hotel in DC, but we quickly had to change course about 8 weeks before our wedding. She was one of the great vendors that I didn't want to lose through all of the wedding rework. Thankfully, Carly and team were still willing to do our hair and makeup for the wedding!!! She's super responsive, insanely flexible, and just an all-around great person! My sister and I were lucky enough to get our hair cut and colored just a couple days before the wedding and we had such a great time getting to know each other. They were on time, completely prepared (and even wore masks), and were just so considerate and made sure we were all set and had everything we needed (I think she even made sure I had eaten something haha). They were troopers for doing hair and makeup with three younger girls plus my older sister and me - they made little tweaks as requested and did it all ON TIME! I 1000% recommend...I now live in TN and will absolutely be visiting her again for a cut and just to catch up the next time I head to MD to see family.

The Pins-N-Brushes team was a dream to work with. From booking them, to my trial, to the wedding day, the team was responsive, open to feedback, and extremely considerate. The team took all of my ideas and inspiration photos into consideration when helping me create my look, and I'm extremely grateful. Lauren did my makeup and Kait did my hair. I was super happy with both of the services, and felt beautiful on my big day. I wish they could do my hair and makeup everyday!

For my October wedding, Starr did our hair and Lauren did our makeup. I cannot say enough good things about them and their work! They were both so flexible and listened to what we wanted, and they brought a really positive energy to the room when we were getting ready. I was a little unsure of how I wanted to wear my hair, and Starr worked with me step by step to make sure I loved it - and I did! A lot of makeup artists make brides look a little too “fake” but Lauren is incredibly talented and my makeup looked amazing in person and in photos. Perfect Hair and Makeup
I did my bridal trial for our engagement shoot, and was so happy with how I looked. I went with the same hair and makeup from the trial for our wedding day. All of the bridesmaids used them as well, and we were all so impressed. They had a timeline made for us, and were so efficient. My hair and makeup were exactly what I was looking for. My sister is using them for her wedding next month and we are so excited!

I had my hair done by Kait for a friend’s wedding two years prior to mine. I was ecstatic to find out she was available for my big day as well. She created customized hair-dos for my entire wedding party, mom, and MIL! Kait knows how to connect to everyone and we all loved our hair styles (which held the entire night!). Carly, the owner, is fantastic as well. I went to her studio for the trial and it was super easy to find, it was just myself and my sister along with Carly and Kait so it felt extremely personalized. Kait also took an amazing video of the first look i got with my dad, so that was an added bonus. I’ve already had friends reach out for their contact info- book fast!!

I felt beautiful on my wedding day!
Carly was amazing! When my first trial with another stylist did not go well, I reached out to her with only 2 months before my wedding. She was so responsive every step of the way and got me in for a trial within a week. When I wanted to change my style from the trial, she did a great job giving me exactly what I wanted. All of my bridesmaids and the MOB's hair were great and looked awesome in all of the photos. Carly made me feel beautiful on my wedding day and I'm so appreciative.

Starr and Carly were great
I had a great experience working with Carly and Starr. Starr was my primary stylist, while Carly handled all the logistics and provided some general support during my trials since Starr is more junior. Together, they made sure that I looked and felt beautiful on our big day.
At my first trial, I loved how my hair looked but it fell out pretty quickly after I left the trial (I have super fine/soft/slippery hair). I reached out to Starr and Carly to see if we could try again, and they didn't hesitate to book a second trial and think through how to get the look I wanted and keep it secure all night. On the day off, Starr paused periodically to check in with me and give me opportunities to look at her progress and offer feedback so that we got my style just right. She was efficient with the bridesmaids but still made sure everyone looked great--we even ended up being able to squeeze in one bridesmaid who didn't originally plan to have her hair done.
From my experience, the Pins-N-Brushes team really excels at styles with texture and volume, so if you're looking for something super sleek they might not be the best fit for you! But if you love piecey updos, pretty waves, and boho braids, check Carly and her team out.

Carly was great throughout the entire process - from answering my many questions before booking, completing the trial, and the actual wedding - everything was amazing. She was flexible with scheduling and re-arranging services for the wedding. The pricing was also more than fair for what it seems like the average around Baltimore is. All of the girls who got hair & make-up with Carly & Lauren looked amazing. Even our venue coordinator commented on how well everyone's hair and make-up held up throughout the night. Pins-N-Brushes did an amazing job on the hair and make-up for our wedding. Carly was responsive and organized during the planning process. She worked with our Wedding Coordinator to finalize our timeline, which was very helpful. Our stylists, Katlin and Starr, arrived really early to set-up on our wedding day and were very accommodating to everyone's different style requests. I had the best experience with Pins-N-Brushes. Their flat-rate travel fee was amazing, and their prices truly cannot be beat. Four people got their hair done for what it would have cost just for bridal hair at other salons. The trial was phenomenal, and my hair looked amazing. It held up as best it could, and I was provided with plenty of products in my emergency kit. The Mother of the Bride hair was elegant, and both of the bridesmaids hair looked perfect and matched their personalities. Could not recommend highly enough!

I can't say enough good thing about Carly. She is professional, organized, caring, and really good at her job! I had been to 2 other hair trials before booking with Carly and felt like they did not really listen to what I had wanted. At my trial with Carly, she really took the time and was interested in the look I was going for. She completely nailed it! On the day of the wedding, she was one of the first people to show up and was ready to work. You can tell how serious she takes her job. You can tell and how much she cares about making you happy. When I booked with her, I was confident she would be one vendor I did not have to worry about. The day of the wedding she made sure everyone was ready on time and everyone looked perfect! Carly and Kait are phenomenal! From the very beginning, Carly was so helpful. I reached out to her via instagram, unsure of how many people would be in my bridal party, unsure of what my dress looked like, and definitely unsure of what I wanted my hair to look like. She was so helpful and did not mind me changing my mind multiple times. She became my go-to hairdresser for cut, color, etc. I have never had a more kind, caring, dedicated hairdresser before! Eventually, I decided I wanted to wear my hair down, curled. Since my hair does not hold curl well, Carly helped me order extensions. She also worked all week before the wedding to ensure the extensions matched the color of my hair perfectly. I had never worn extensions before and am always nervous to color my hair out of fear that it won't look natural. It seemed as though Carly cared just as much as I did! She always wanted to make sure I was happy. I am SO thankful for her!
On the wedding day, Kait and Carly were punctual, stuck to the timeline, and gave all of my bridesmaids the perfect updos. Kait made me feel like a model that I most definitely did not recognize. Carly gets 10 out of 5 stars from me! I cant say enough good about her! Lets just start with the fact that I had already booked someone else who backed out with only about 3 months until my wedding. I am really very picky about my hair and had some concerns and from the first email Carly listened and actually heard me. We spoke on the phone where I asked her just about every question in the book and without hesitation she answered and assured me things would be great. We set up a trial and Carly did a flawless job and we really hit it off. She is calm and personable all while being professional. She has alot of knowledge with extensions and helped me to order the correct ones for my big day. A week before the wedding I contacted Carly freaking out that I was now unsure about the look we did in the trial due to weight gain and me not being comfortable with nothing close to my face. Again, Carly reassured me everything was going to be just fine because she wouldn't let it be any other way. I mean...how sweet? We went back and forth looking at photos and styles she felt fit my dress and agreed on one. On my wedding day, Carly was a calming force. Literally. She arrived on time, got right to work and finished the girls hair in record timing. She styled my hair BEAUTIFULLY! I honestly couldn't have felt more beautiful. Here is what got me... after she was done she asked how she could help us? My wedding got rained out and was literally all DIY and it was very apparent we were struggling. Carly ended up sitting in the room on my bed as I got ready and helping put the final touches on which was my birdcage. Her kindness and calmness were something that stuck with me. I wasn't just a client to her or a bride. She treated me like a friend. Carlys work is amazing but so is her heart. If you are looking for someone to make you look and feel amazing on your wedding day Pins-N-Brushes is your one stop shop! You wont regret it.

Carly is absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. She was so accommodating to our needs. For my wedding, I had 8 girls (myself included) who needed their hair done. She did this solo with time to spare, and I was so impressed by the final products. All of my bridesmaids said it was the best their hair had looked for a wedding. My hair even stayed in the 90 degree heat! She provided me with a little goodie bag as well with the best smelling hairspray and bobbie pins for touch ups (which we did not even have to use). As someone who enjoys doing updos, I am a bit of a perfectionist and picky when it comes to my hair. I had Carly put in extensions, and no one could even tell they were in! Carly made my hair look like exactly what I had hoped for and kept the day fun and stress free. Thank you Carly! Highly recommend.

I worked with Carly to book my wedding make-up and she was so so patient with me answering all of my questions and was super flexible when I needed to change my timeline as the day got closer. Then Lauren did me and my mom's make-up the day of and we were both so happy with how it turned out. I didn't really know what I wanted- I didn't want to not look like myself and didn't want to feel like I was wearing too much make-up. I asked her to do a very natural look and I loved what she came up with! I wish she could do my make-up every day :) My mom had brought her own products that she asked Lauren to use and Lauren was super accommodating. Lauren was super sweet and patient, just the best! I am so happy that I found Pins-N- Brushes for my wedding! Carly and Kait were so amazing! We had 10 girls for hair and makeup and everyone looked absolutely beautiful! My hair and makeup was perfect even though I wasn't able to do a pretrial.( I live in North Carolina and opted not to, although Carly was so helpful and responsive and was willing to do whatever for me to have one). They had to travel to my venue and started very early in the morning to make us all feel gorgeous and they did! I highly recommend Carly!!

Working with Carly was a dream come true. I was lucky enough to have her do my hair for our engagement shoot and was happy to have that time to build a report with her prior to the wedding. On wedding hair she was so fast and efficient that we got everyone's hair done with plenty to time to relax before pictures. Carly was able to take everyone's pictures and transform them into reality. She was a wonderful addition to wedding day morning! Every time I needed to email her she was always very responsive and flexible, including a last minute venue change. You can't go wrong working with Carly and her team!

There are not enough words to describe how absolutely wonderful Carly and her assistant, Starr, were. They met me at the hotel I was getting ready in and began styling immediately. They stayed ahead of their schedule and stuck around to do any touch ups needed. I met with Carly about a month before the wedding for a hair trial and absolutely loved my time with her. She is so sweet and an amazing stylist. I absolutely loved my hair and got compliments all day!!!! I would absolutely recommend Carly for any wedding hair styling needs!!!!

Carly was great at answering my questions. I also booked with Nina, make up artist, that works closely with Carly. Both were wonderful. Our hairstyles and make up held up great for my wedding. I was so glad we did the hair and make up trial. I would definitely recommend booking with Pins-N-Brushes!

Carly was absolutely fantastic!!! I sent her way too many emails and she always answered me and told me I was not bothering her even though I always apologized because I felt that I was! She did such an awesome job! Everyone loved their hair styles and NO ONE had to use the very nice touch up kit she gave us because it stayed all night. Some of my girls even slept in their hair do and looked good as new in the morning. I went through chemo and radiation in between the time I hired her and my wedding day and I was so nervous about my hair. I eventually got a wig and she did it so beautifully, and made it look so natural with the hair I did have left, no one would have known it was a wig! I loved my hair and am beyond thankful I hired her!!!

Carly was amazing to work with!!!! She was so flexible with allowing me to do as many trials as needed to decided what I wanted on my big day. She also made me feel very comfortable and was easy to talk with. She helped offer ideas and is very professional. On the big day we also had Starr helping with the bridesmaids hair and she was awesome as well!! Everyone that had their hair done loved it! Carly and Starr Truely made everyone feel beautiful:)

Carly was my stylist and she was perfect. From time of booking her. I needed 2 seperate trials and still just had no idea what I wanted. We went into my hair on my wedding day knowing my hair doesn’t hold curl well, she prepped them before actually styling and my curls held ALL NIGHT LONG. Even when I was swinging my hair back and forth on the dance floor! I went into my wedding day honestly almost blind since I didn’t make a hair decision and went against the two trials I had. It was even more perfect than I could have imagined.

Carly made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! She listened to everything I wanted and all the little details I admired to make me feel so special! Plus I normally have very thick and heavy hair that never keeps a curl but my curls stayed all night plus looked bouncy the next morning! Completely love Carly!!

Our experience with Pins-N-Brushes was wonderful. They are extremely easy to work with, and very time efficient. We had several bridesmaids, myself (MOB) and a last minute house guest, all needed updo's before 1pm.

Carly is your go to hair stylist. She is so kind and accommodating. She turned a simple picture into my dream wedding style. When I asked for a small tweak she was so lovely and understanding. I got married last weekend, 9/9/17, and Carly and Kait did hair for me, 2 moms, and 6 bridesmaids. Every single one of us were SO happy with our hair - it was even better than what we imagined. Leading up to the day, Carly was extremely responsive and even squeezed me in for a second trial run the week before my wedding since I completely changed how I wanted my hair. Between that trial run and the wedding, I changed my mind again and she was so flexible, and my hair turned out exactly how I wanted! HIGHLY recommend Pins-n Brushes!

I really enjoyed working with Carly. She is very responsive and patient. She helped me to find a specific hair piece I was looking for. She was in regular communication about timing and planning. She executed each of the designs we selected flawlessly. She was very patient during the chaos of the day-of preparations. She was so good with my 5 year old niece while preparing her up-do. Everyone was happy with the finished products. I would recommend her to anyone for their wedding. Carly even finished in record time, ahead of schedule. She gave us a little touch-up kit as a gift so that we could do last minute touch-ups after pictures before the ceremony.

Everyone looked great at loved their hair - bridesmaids and moms alike.
She worked very well with my makeup artist of choice. She also clicked really well with my girls - having professionals who are fun and have a great energy goes a long way in making your day special! Carly really made us feel pampered, beautiful, and excited!
Also - she left us with a touch up kid which was so thoughtful (not that we needed it, our hair survived 90 degree/DC humidity and dancing all night!)

Carly is great, super easy to work with, and gave me a great hairstyle on my wedding day! I felt very glamorous with the way she styled my hair and she made sure that my hair went well with my Indian wedding attire. I showed her pictures of the types of hairstyles I wanted to do and she was able to make it happen. She was reliable, on time, and always responded to my questions in a timely manner. The trial was really helpful too because then on the wedding day, I knew what it was going to look like and she made adjustments based on our conversations after the trial. She also came to the venue where my wedding and pre-wedding events were which was helpful during the getting ready process. I definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a hair stylist for a wedding or special occasion!

Carly is amazing. She is so great at her job, but you can tell it is a passion for her. She is so sweet and kind. I looked at a lot of different hair stylist for my wedding and she by far blew everyone out of the water. Her prices are so reasonable, it was unbelievable! She was on time and even got there early. I loved how she did my hair for the wedding and it stayed up for my whole wedding and then four hours after it was over. I fell in love with the curls, I will be going to Carly for all my hair needs. She is great and I highly recommend her. You won't be disappointed!
