  Perfect Bridal Hair

  Michelle is fantastic! I was lucky to have her do my hair for both my wedding day and another wedding banquet celebration a few days later. I also had another trial session with her before, and she totally nailed the hairstyles on all 3 days. She is super talented and the end result will be just as great as you hoped for. We did 3 styles together: a half-up hairstyle, a full updo, as well as curls with volume. She will listen to what you want and make any adjustments that you prefer. Beyond her talent, Michelle is professional, punctual, and efficient. On my wedding day she was super prepared with so many little things (even non-hair related), and she stuck around while I was getting dressed to make sure my hair was all in place before I headed to the ceremony. The little things make all the difference and I was grateful to have Michelle there! I would highly recommend her to any future brides, or anyone who needs their hair done for special occasions. You will be in great hands!

  Talented!!

  If you are looking to have fabulous hair on your wedding day, hire Michelle! In addition to being incredibly talented, she is patient, professional, easy to work with, and responsive! She did my bridal hair, and also did the hair for my 6 bridesmaids and the mother of the groom. I got so many compliments! She and her assistant came to the hotel suite where we were getting ready; it was nice that we did not have to travel anywhere other than the venue!
  
  If you want to look incredible on your wedding day, I highly recommend Michelle! I will definitely hire her in the future for any special occasions that I want my hair done.

  Michelle is an absolute gem of a person - super warm, funny, and a blessing to work with on my wedding day. From our initial conversations to the final touches, she was on top of everything. And best of all, her work is impeccable and exquisite! I feel like she knows my hair better than I do. I dropped a whole Pinterest album on her and she crafted exactly what I wanted. I've had my hair done before but never so deftly. And it had a ton of staying power! The night before my afternoon rehearsal I met her for a trial run - that updo lasted through one night and one nap, a shower, San Francisco wind, and a rehearsal dinner. Then I went to the bar, took it down, and the curls were amazing! I can't get curls to stay in my hair for the life of me, but she sprayed some magic into my locks, whispered some spells, and absolutely made my wedding hair dreams come true. Thank you SO much Michelle!

  First off, I have A LOT of hair. Long, thick hair. Not all stylists are created equal in being able to deal with my hair. In addition to all my natural hair, I also added extensions for my wedding day.
  
  Michelle did a great job handling my hair through multiple trials as I was very fickle about what I wanted! She was relaxed, patient, flexible and nice!
  
  I was really, really, happy with the results on my wedding day. My hair looked absolutely stunning and I received a lot of compliments on how well it was done. From the waves she made within the crown I wore, to the long luscious curls that lasted all night, and getting my bangs just right, I felt beautiful, confident and comfortable all night. Michelle has skills!!! :)
  
  In addition, Michelle really saved the day by having double sided tape that she suggested I put on my dress sleeves, what a BRILLIANT idea! LOL. Really helped me out!

  Michelle was, simply put, a joy to work with; she made me look and feel like a stunning version of myself (but still me!) on my wedding day. I had done several trials with other hair and makeup folks before finding her, and was horrified to walk out of those trials looking like a little beauty pageant nightmare instead of the classy, understated, vintage-inspired look I was hoping for. Michelle executed exactly what I wanted in terms of my hair, from the first step of identifying and clarifying what I liked in the pictures I shared (finger waves! they have a name!) through final polishing and details. It was so meaningful to have someone who helped me look and feel how I *wanted* to look, instead of just doing whatever bridal is *supposed* to be. She really listened, and made. it. happen.
  
  I can't overstate how happy I was to have her help, and how gorgeous she made me feel. She also did the hair for my bridal party and mother, and everyone looked amazing (curly hair, straight hair, thin hair, thick hair, all the above). The scheduling she did in advance also made everything run smoothly on the day of. Moreover, when my initial makeup choice bowed out, Michelle responded to my email with several options of ladies she works with for makeup. I ended up choosing one of her recommendations (Lynn Yee, who was equally amazing) and Michelle coordinated everything seamlessly. I can't recommend Michelle enough.

  I can't say enough good things about working with Michelle on my wedding day. I did a hair trial with her a few months before the wedding and she was able to execute the exact same style on the big day. Not only is she incredible with hair but she also is pleasant and kind -- a person you want to be there while you are getting ready for the big day. Also she was happy to change a style last minute for the mother of the groom. She is just absolutely wonderful! Do not hesitate to book her for your wedding or other big event. She will make your hair do things you didn't know were possible. :)

  It was such a pleasure working with Michelle. She did a fantastic job on the bride, bridal party, and family members. She was communicative and organized throughout the entire process and even provided a spread sheet for scheduling time slots for everyone. In addition to being talented and doing great work on everyone's hair, Michelle brought such a warm and comforting presence. She really went above and beyond for my best friend's wedding and I can't thank her enough. I highly recommend Pins & Curls for any event where you want to work with an amazing person with top notch hair and beauty skills! Thanks again, Michelle!

  I worked with Michelle for my wedding day and can't recommend her highly enough. From the first email interaction we had Michelle was professional and organized. She has a questionnaire she asks you to fill out upfront so that she is sure to be most efficient with your time. We corresponded a few times before the trial and she was very responsive to any questions I had as far as styles, extensions etc. Michelle listens to what you want but also offers her professional advice to help find you a look that is to your liking and works with your hair and your dress. We tried a few variations in my trial until we found the one we both liked and I absolutely loved my hair on my wedding day.
  
  Michelle also did my bridesmaids' hair and without my asking prepared a spreadsheet to schedule the day for everyone's hair and make-up appointments. As anyone knows who is planning a wedding, organization is key and it was such a help to have Michelle take initiative on that. Each of my bridesmaids also loved how their hair looked and commented how natural she made everyone look, avoiding anything too bridal/overdone. Equally important, Michelle and her assistant were both super enjoyable to spend time with and work with.
  
  Finally, Michelle is totally reasonably priced. The combination of her personality, organization, amazing hairstyling skills and being reasonably priced, I'm not sure why you'd work with anyone else.

  Michelle did a great job with my hair for my wedding. I wanted something extremely simple and she fixed my hair in an elegant simple way that made me feel so comfortable and happy with the outcome. My bridesmaids hairs (both short and long) looked AMAZING... she is so sweet and easy to work with..highly recommend her

  Michelle was fantastic to work with and did such a beautiful job on my bridal hair, as well as for my bridesmaids. She was so professional and sweet and very talented. I kind of had an idea of what I wanted and showed her a mish mash of photos and let her have the artistic freedom to do what she thought was best and she did great! Even for my trial, she was so meticulous and didn't rush the process. She has another full time job so scheduling was pretty tight, but I'm glad we were able to make it work! So many people were asking me who did my hair and makeup and so I highly recommend her. She was actually chosen for me by my makeup person (Lynn Yee) so I'm so glad we got introduced and our styles all matched really well! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of work and Michelle and Lynn were able to stagger the schedule so that we finished early on the day of too, so that's a huge plus!

  Wedding planning is pretty stressful, but I would have to say that working with Michelle was the most stressful and unprofessional experience I have had in the 14 months of planning I have done. She will drop you without notice. It felt like I was a transaction more than a person.
  
  Background:
  I started speaking with Michelle in early Jan. She recommended a makeup artist named Crystal, but said both of them couldn’t do a trial for over four weeks out. I had to rearrange my travel plans from my sister’s wedding to make the trial. Things were fine with hair, but Crystal reshaped my eyebrows AND MY RIGHT EYEBROW DID NOT MATCH MY LEFT EYEBROW. The right eyebrow was 1/4 inch shorter than my left eyebrow!
  
  But I thought, ok makeup was off so I’ll contract with Michelle only for hair. So I wrote to Michelle to confirm I would move ahead with hair only on Monday. She confirmed we would be working together on Tuesday. Then on Saturday Michelle sends a cancellation note saying she’s taken another gig without any heads up that my date might have been an issue. FOUR DAYS AFTER SHE CONFIRMED IN WRITING I no longer had a hair stylist.
  
  Now I have to scramble to find hair and makeup for my wedding in May after wasting Jan and Feb on Michelle and Crystal. Would definitely be wary of working with them, and of the contract that has a clause that says Michelle can cancel at any time: “In the event of sickness, accident, or other reasons beyond control which result in Michelle or Crystal’s unavailability, efforts will be made to assist you in making other arrangements and your deposit will b e refunded.”
  
  Be careful future brides!
