Beautiful Venue and Wonderful Staff

Pine Lake Ranch is a beautiful venue from the oak tree, the lake, the barn, and the outdoor corral. The photos of my wedding were breathtaking!
I couldn’t have asked for friendlier staff. From day one, they were so helpful with planning everything. The vendors were amazing, and my wedding turned out perfect!
Cannot recommend this venue enough!

Day of dreams

I have been waiting patiently to make my review on this venue because I have been waiting on my photos to come back. I absolutely could not have done it without the staff and my amazing coordinator at Pine Lake Ranch. Christie my coordinator delivered a beautiful day that I will always cherish. The team worked diligently and seemless to ensure my dreams came true. We got married on a very rainy day but the venue itself upheld the entire esthetic I was shooting for. My October fall wedding was stunning and the tree was EVERYTHING! Thank you so so much Pine Lake for the professionalism and support for this day.

Wonderful fall wedding

Our wedding was on 10/22/2022. We fell in love with this venue from on the very first visit. It is true when they say, when you know you know. We visited a few other venues that day after Pine Lake and knew there was no point. My wife and I are not the DYI brides and found their packages to be reasonably priced compared with other venues. We went with Sierra Catering and loved their food.

We got along well with everyone, especially our in-house coordinator Amy who helped make our wedding day magical. She was there from the beginning when we decided on the venue to answer any questions or offer helpful suggestions. She was very organized and professional. We used many of the venue's decorations and linens, Amy helped us bring our vision to life. Every aspect of this place is simply beautiful.

Amazing venue

ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! Pine Lake Ranch is so beautiful and everyone there makes you feel so welcomed. I wasn’t able to even tour the venue so my parents did where they met the owners and they said they were so hospitable compared to other venues they toured that they had no doubt i would want to use Pine Lake Ranch as my wedding venue. I went with a wedding coordinator (HIGHLY RECOMMEND HEIDI KARBER). Without Heidi i literally would have been miserable the entire day. Even with rain, Heidi and her team did absolutely everything. The only thing i had to worry about was getting ready to get married! I would recommend Pine Lake Ranch to anyone wanting to get married in Texas or even traveling!!!

Daughter’s Wedding

Pine Lake Ranch was the most perfect place for my daughter’s wedding. Not only was it the most beautiful setting sitting under the gorgeous tree and looking out over the pond, but the staff was amazing. We originally were set to have the wedding in March but 4 days before it was to happen is when everything was shut down because of Covid. They immediately contacted us and helped us pick another date and did everything they could to make it a smooth transition. The owners were very understanding and generous on transferring their services to the new date. Heidi and Maribel were so professional and always responded promptly with any questions or requests. The vendors they promote were top notch and allowed us to just sit back and enjoy the entire day. Thank you so much for making her dream wedding come true!

Gorgeous venue

We got married here this past Friday and they went above and beyond to make sure our day went off without a hitch. Stormey, Mary and their team were beyond helpful and responsive, especially with planning a wedding during COVID. June 12 was our original wedding date, but we weren’t sure if that would work out, so PLR booked us a second date of our choosing at no additional cost. We basically had two dates held until we heard if we could still get married on our original date. We got to get married under the GORGEOUS oak tree June 12 and it was the best day I could have imagined. I seriously can’t say enough great things about this venue. I can’t wait to get our pictures back so I can post them!

All around amazing experience

Pine Lake Ranch is beautiful inside and out, literally. I always wanted to get married outdoors and their large oak tree made that possible. And we had our reception in their chandelier lit barn. It was perfect. Their staff made this process easy and they were always available for anything we needed. They were helpful in every way possible. On the big day, there was a member of staff available all night just in case we needed something. This made us feel like they cared. The bridal cottage and groom's suite were icing on the cake for us! This venue has so much to offer including their amazing staff and I will definitely recommend them to anyone I know!

Dream Wedding

We had our wedding here just last night and cannot recommend it enough! The ranch grounds are absolutely gorgeous, especially the giant oak tree you get married under. Also, the staff were incredibly generous and accommodating. We keep saying we have to come back here for now renewals in the future! Our night was perfect at Pine Lake Ranch.

The Staff is Amazing! Planning a wedding is not easy by any means but having a venue willing to work with you and ensure your day is perfect helps a LOT! The new owners are really investing in the venue. The changes made so far have already made a big improvement. I can't wait to see the rest for other brides. Oh and did I mention the Beautiful Tree?!

The staff and owners at Pine Lake Ranch were everything we could have asked for of a wedding venue. Jennifer always responded to emails in a matter of hours and she was always very helpful and polite. The owners were there the day of the wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly. You can definitely tell that they care about you and your big day. They are so flexible if you need some more time because some stragglers just have returned their RSVP cards. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and there are countless photoshoot worthy spots. Thank you so much pine lake ranch for everything you did for my husband and I. Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be.

All I knew I wanted when I was looking for a venue was "tree". I wanted to be married under a beautiful tree and I was having such a hard time finding the right tree. My now husband found Pine Lake Ranch online. It had the tree I wanted and so much more. It is now under new management and they are doing so many great things. I am sorry that some of the renovations were not done before my wedding but they will look so cool when they are done.

Pine Lake Ranch was the perfect venue for our rustic, country wedding. The tree was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and the barn was nice and spacious for our reception. The venue provided breathtaking views for our pictures. Everyone was great to work with and the packages are definitely worth it. They take care of everything .

Pine Lake Ranch was a beautiful venue. Everyone loved the scenery and the big old oak tree. Its romantic and secluded so you can really relax on your special day. The bridal suite just got a state of the art massage chair that had everyone buzzing.

We loved everything about Pine Lake Ranch! They were so accommodating for our Star Wars wedding and Sara was incredibly helpful during the dozens of times I called to get all the details lined up. We actually booked the venue a year in advance before even seeing it with our own eyes and we're so glad we did! The first time I saw Pine Lake Ranch in person, I was in awe. The staff was so welcoming and I love that we had the whole place to ourselves the entire day of the wedding. Pine Lake Ranch was the perfect venue for our wedding and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful rustic venue!

Loved the venue! I also really loved the vendors in the all inclusive package as well as those that were recommended!!! Everything was so beautiful and the guests loved the venue! Being married under an Oak tree like the one that we got engaged under added the perfect touch!

I cant say enough about this venue or the staff of Bo, Sara and Caroline. We had an almost perfect wedding( except for hiring a bad florist, Holly at A Different Bloom :( Everything associated with PLR was beautiful and spot on for our July wedding. They are very professional, courteous and helpful. They have the brides interest at heart and never made us feel like it was all about money. The tree is breathtaking and the barn is beautiful and very spacious (200 ppl) Plenty of room up top for tables and very spacious dance floor. The bar and set up are perfect in size. The wedding at PLR was every thing we could have hoped for. Parking was great, grooms quarters are good and nicely decorated. You can't beat that full bridal house and having it all day,( when most places only offer you a bathroom to get ready in). Bride and all the girls loved all the rooms and bathrooms to prepare in and be close together for a day of celebration.
It was also a great price( we took the lower DIY package) and were able to bring items to customize the wedding to our taste and everything turned out beautifully thanks to the staff and the wonderful venue at PINE LAKE RANCH! It was hot in July but we had a trough of water bottles for each guest and put the wedding program on hand fans for each guest to keep them cool.(just remember to put a fan and water bottle on all the front chairs for people in the wedding, family etc., as that is the one thing we forgot.) Carolyn at "Sweet Tea and Linens" and Jael at "Artistique" did a phenomenal job with decor, rentals and linens... had great prices and lots of inventory and I would hire them again in a flash! I would highly recommend PLR as an INCREDIBLE VENUE! Thanks Bo and staff!

If you want a venue that all your guests will love and remember and if you want low stress with a great staff that will treat you like family then go to PINE LAKE RANCH, we have not regrets it was an AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL WEDDING and we highly recommend this venue.

My daughter's wedding was 8/6/2016 and we can't speak highly enough of this venue. We had shopped around others in the area but PLR won on several key points:
1. Price point was in-line with others in the area
2. Staff was very personable and accommodating with 'vision' wishes
3. Plenty of parking, indoor space, and the bridal suite is HUGE. Like you can set everything up and be comfortable in there all day getting ready. Great lighting, plenty of plugs, ample seating and table space.
4. The tree, the lake, the barn... all picture views are unique. We have done family, engagement, and bridal pics there and all look different with the seasons and time of day.
5. The Package. Get the package!!! It was the most efficient solution. I work in Houston and my daughter is in school. We don't have time to run around trying to organize strangers to the venue - in Conroe which we are not familiar with.
6. No bugs... while our wedding was sweltering hot, there wasn't a single bug in sight. This was noticed by all considering the lake and all the nature around us.
Our event was an easy country vibe, both family friendly and early 20's hoe down. This was the perfect venue for the union

I am from NY and my husband is from Texas - I wanted a NY-Texas wedding and that is exactly what we got. The scenery was rustic and elegant. It was absolutely perfect. Bo and his team are a dream! They helped out in every way. We specifically picked this venue because of the tree plus the fact we had the venue to ourselves for the ENTIRE day. I loved being able to walk around the reception checking on details, before I went to the Bridal House and had my Hair & Makeup team get to work on my and my girls. I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding venue choice. The tree was amazing to get married under - so glad it didn't rain! But had it rained the Barn would have been equally perfect. We had almost 200 people and you would not know it - it did not feel packed or crowded. I had a perfect day! They made planning a breeze and kept me organized and on schedule.

Pine Lake Ranch is a beautiful setting for a wedding. We got married at the Ranch in April [2016] underneath the gorgeous old oak tree. Both my husband and I selected this venue for our special day because of the scenic outdoor space the Ranch had to offer for our ceremony and rustic barn also on the property for all the eating, drinking and partying. The practicality of holding both ceremony and reception all in the same location was a bonus, Pine Lake even had a charming ranch house for the bridal party to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. Bo was accommodating to all of our ideas from the Scottish piper for the ceremony to the taco truck for the pre-reception. We had Mel's Country Café cater for the wedding and we could not of been happier with the southern home cooked food Jeff cooked. Both my husband and I were extremely happy with this rustic venue, the only regret we have is not taking a moment out of the wedding festivities to really appreciate the beauty of Pine Lake Ranch.

We had our wedding at Pine Lake Ranch last weekend and we had the time of our lives!!!! We got engaged about a year and a half ago, and the venue is the first thing we chose. We went to nearly every "rustic venue" in Houston and surrounding areas, (there are quit a few) and we both instantly knew that Pine Lake was where we were going to get married. Bo, the owner is so down to earth and willing to work with just about every crazy idea we had.
Our friends are still raving about how beautiful the venue is! The pictures of the oak tree do not do it justice, it is breathtaking in person. The barn is also exactly what we wanted. There was plenty of room to fit our (200) guests, and still so much room to dance.
We highly recommend Pine Lake Ranch!!!!

I don't write many reviews but PLR definitely deserves a moment to be recognized especially with Jaime as the event coordinator. She has been so sweet since the moment I meant her and most of all its genuine. I live in Webster,Tx and there are plenty of rustic venues that are in my surrounding area but Jaime has given me my dream vision of my wedding a reality. She goes out of her way of planning a wedding a little less stressful even when it seems impossible. What i love most is her money saver tips, theres not too many vendors that actually want to help clients with budgeting. My wedding is not until Sept 2016 and me and my fiance is beyond excited for the big celebration.

I haven't stressed one bit because Jaime has went above and beyond for my Fiancé and I. She is literally a angel! She has been like another mom to me. She always checks on me seeing how everything is coming along with planning and asks of we need any help! We feel like we are the only ones getting married there when that is completely not the case. My wedding is this coming March and I am SO EXCITED to be be able to have it at this beautiful location! This was my very first pick as a venue but I became discouraged by the overwhelming reality of how expensive a wedding really is! Once we sat down with Jaime, all of that fear and hesitation disappeared! She was able to break things down in a way that we would be able to have our big day under the gorgeous tree of Pine Lake Ranch without breaking the bank completely! Out of all of the places we went and visited, I felt the most comfortable with Jaime. Right from the get-go she has been great and gone above and beyond expectations. I had to have two spine surgeries back to back in September and Jaime was kind enough to come visit me with a huge basket full of goodies on her own time! I thought that was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She definitely goes above and beyond her job position which makes her the best around! I cannot wait for the day I get to say "I do" to the man of my dreams! I wouldn't have been able to do it at the venue of my dreams if it weren't for the kind and generous actions of Jaime at Pine Lake Ranch.

Bo and Jaime were very kind to us throughout our wedding planning process. We opted for just venue cost, no package included so it was harder on me as the bride but if I needed floorplans, extra linens, to count tables over and over again, they did it all for me. I was so impressed by the service and OMG, that tree! I feel in love. This is a place where you wedding day can be fun and relaxed. You can enjoy your whole day and your friends/family will love using the giant dance floor. I highly recommend Pine Lake as a wedding venue.

Everyone at Pine Lake Ranch were very accommodating and were wonderful to work with. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. On the day of our wedding, they made sure everything was clean and ready to go for us. The tree is absolutely breathtaking!! I haven't seen another like it in all of Houston. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue for us. Everything was outstanding. I love that they have wedding packages you can choose from, or if you want a blank slate, you have the capability of choosing your own vendors. Many other venues require you to use certain vendors, and that was definitely not what we wanted. Pine Lake Ranch was perfect!

I was a little nervous about spending so much money on a venue but they really did make the experience worth it. All of my guests had a great time and Beau, the owner, and his clean up crew helped out so much at the end. He was there behind the scenes making sure everything was running smoothly. They are very attentive and make sure that you are getting the experience you wanted. I was very pleased with everything and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a nice, rustic wedding.

Pine Lake Ranch is Gorgeous! We just had our wedding their on May 9, 2015 and this venue surpassed my expectations. All I ever wanted was to get married under an old Oak Tree and the tree at Pine Lake Ranch is exquisite! The barn where the reception was held is exceptional as well. It provided the perfect amount of space for our guests. There was plenty of room on the upper level for a sit down dinner and the lower level had a lot of room for dancing and a buffet line. The layout of the barn was perfect, you never felt congested and our buffet line and bar line never got in the way of the other. Also, one of the best parts about the venue was the owner Beau. He was the most gracious hosts and even went out of the way to provide us with more ice during the reception. Everyone at Pine Lake Ranch helped our entire planning process go smoothly and never once did I feel stressed out about our location. For any future bride out there that is looking for a Beautiful rustic wedding venue this is without a doubt the best option!

My wedding was everything I dreamed of. It was perfect, could not have found a better place to have it, everything was great, the barn was a great set up for the reception. Bo is an awesome person, was more than willing to help with anything I needed. He made sure everything was perfect. Thank you Pine Lake Ranch for the perfect venue. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a country kind of wedding. :-)

First I will start by saying how friendly, helpful, and kind the staff of Pine Lake Ranch were to my family and every one of my guests. The weather was less than ideal on my wedding day (rainy), and they were helpful in each and every way they could have been.

Second, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. Even though I was hoping to get married under the giant oak tree, my wedding was everything I could have ever hoped for with both the ceremony and reception in the barn. All my guests agreed with this! There are so many spaces that make for beautiful photos.

Had it not rained on my wedding day, I would have utilized the available space differently. I would have done my ceremony under the tree (I highly recommend the lights), a cocktail hour in the fenced area (with bistro tables and lighting), and then had the reception only in the barn. The barn is spacious enough and was extremely comfortable with the 180 guests I had at my wedding.

All of the staff at Pine Lake are more than helpful! They are so friendly and welcoming. I felt comfortable and at ease when asking any questions leading up to my big day. This venue is gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for. It was a very relaxing wedding, just what I wanted, it could also be more formal depending on how decorated. My ceremony was outside under a HUGE tree with the lake in the back ground and the reception was inside the newly renovated barn which was perfect! I loved every little detail about my wedding and would highly recommend Pine Lake Ranch to anyone! I had over 200 guests and there was plenty of seating outside as well as inside. Inside we had a dj and photo booth set up and still had tons of room for a large dance floor!! :)

My wedding day was perfect! Pine Lake Ranch was great! The owners did not bother us one bit! They let us do everything we wanted and were there to help with the heavy stuff. (moving chairs and tables) They were not like most venues that have certain rules and won't allow you to do the things you really want. If I had to do it all over I wouldn't change a thing. Especially wouldn't change the venue!!

Where to begin.... I first saw pine lake ranch a year and a half before I actually got engaged. I had seen their booth at a wedding show and knew I had to see the tree in person. At that time, the barn was just barely under construction. When I did (finally) get engaged, I went back to pine lake ranch and was surprised that not much progress had been done in the last year and a half. I talked to Bo, the owner, and expressed my concerns. My fiancé and I discussed it and we saw a few other venues. I cried multiple times over making the decision, but we took a leap of faith. The process wasn't easy and many times did we express our concerns if the barn would be completed in time, but that was the risk we took when we got the discount. Luckily, the barn was done months before our wedding. Was it exactly like I envisioned it would be when it was done ? No, but it wasn't my business to run. Was there any other venue I would have chosen for my wedding? Absolutely not. You cannot replace that tree anywhere! The venue is a blank canvas and it is up to you how you make it look. I planned almost all of my decor and made most of it myself. I knew what my wedding could look like at that venue and I made it work. I cannot wait to get the pictures back! The corral is an awesome space if you use it wisely. We had hay couches, and outside live photo booth and cornhole and washer games. There was an outside bar and all of this was available to our guests before and after the ceremony. The barn is huge! There is plenty of space, we had close to 200 guests. The dance floor is huge, but we sure did fill it up! I suggest using the stage to your advantage. We had the dj, sweetheart table and cake table on the stage and it worked out perfectly. Pine lake ranch is a beautiful venue to host that rustic style wedding. I couldn't have been happier with how the day went. Thank you Bo and the PLR staff who helped make it perfect!

I got married here in May 2014. Pine Lake was the first venue I went to look at and the only venue I looked at. I knew an outdoor wedding with cows, horses, and roosters in the background was exactly what I wanted. I signed when they were still building the barn, but I lucked out and was the first wedding in the barn with AC. It was amazing!

I am a meeting planner, so I knew I wanted to all of the designing and everything on my own. (Control freak, what can I say.) This venue was perfect because it is just the venue. They definitely recommend great vendors for you to use. I used a few of them and they really were great.

Bo is the owner and I loved working with him! He will definitely help take care of anything you need.

I have recommended this to anyone and everyone that I can. I even have proposed it to my corporate clients. My wedding couldn't have been more beautiful and I owe a TON of that to Pine Lake. It is so beautiful! I actually saved a ton of money on flowers because I didn't want flowers to take away from the barn atmosphere.

We loved our time at Pine Lake Ranch! It was the prefect fit for my husband and I. Getting started, we got to take advantage of the huge area for me and my girls to get ready. Our ceremony under the tree was more beautiful than we could have imagined. The reception area in the barn was exactly what we were hoping for. Huge and open, perfect for dancing the night away. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. Bo was there for us anytime we had a question or needed help finding a vendor.

All in all, we could not have asked for a more wonderful wedding day! If you are looking for an outdoor dream wedding, Pine Lake Ranch is the place!

I would recommend Bo, Mary and Pine Lake all day long. We were actually the first in the barn and it was amazing the grounds breathtaking and like other reviewers were saying, Bo does any and everything he can to make sure you are happy on your day! This venue was more beautiful on the actual wedding day than I ever thought it would be. The oak tree is the perfect place to get married and the barn venue is adorable. It was perfect for our beer-and-barbeque reception. I also love that it is a 16-hour rental so we got the venue from 8am to 12am. I was able to set up early in the morning and then relax in the house where the bridal party got dressed. The house is beautiful and a great place to get dressed. I had 8 bridesmaids and lots of family that all sat in the house most of the day and we still weren't crowded. The grooms quarters were fantastic as well. Bo is extremely helpful and will do everything he can to make you day go just like you want it to. I would recommend this venue over and over again!

The owner Beau and his staff are amazing. They helping my mom and bridal party help setup for my wedding. The did more than any other venue would have. the prices are not outrageous and the view is amazing. This is the most amazing venue I have seen. I would recommend this venue to everyone getting married!

Our wedding reception took place in a huge tent at Pine Lake Ranch! We didn't know how it would turn out, but it came out so BEAUTIFUL! Bo was so flexible with the ideas we had and came through with them. Mary was so helpful in getting things done right on time, don't know what we have done without her. Such a beautiful venue and can't forget that beautiful tree. Wish we could replay our big day over again!

Pine Lake Ranch provided my wife and I with the PERFECT outdoor wedding venue. Bo, Audrey and their staff were a pleasure to work with and they were very accommodating to all of our needs! They made things happen. Working together was nothing less than a pleasure!
The Bridal quarters were unreal, with plenty of room for hair, make up, bridesmaids and private smoking. The grooms quarters left nothing to be desired! The scenery made for amazing photographs and the setting made of a magical day that will be etched in my mind forever. They are the perfect outdoor venue!!

Great Venue!

As a coordinator, this venue was so wonderful and easy to work with! They do require every single vendor to have the venue listed on their insurance as additionally insured. I understand, but that is why the “flexibility “ received 4/5 stars. Everything else was extremely wonderful. The staff, shout out to their event host who was on top of everything throughout the night. The venue includes bartending and security which is nice, and they were all awesome as well. The venue is beautiful with so many photo opportunities for a couple. The have many planning tools that help guide any of their couples. If you’re looking for a spiritual ceremony next to the beautiful tree and a rustic chic reception, Pine Lake Ranch is your venue!

Pine Lake Ranch was a great place to have our wedding! The owner is very laid back and easy to get along with. The girls and i got ready in the main house downstairs, we had plenty of room and my sister in law had a one month old who could be taken care of in the living room during the time we were getting ready. There was plenty of space!! Adequate space to get ready was such an issue with other venues I looked at. The ceremony under the tree was magical and the barn reception was beautiful and spacious!! We chose to have the fajita dinner (included in the price) and it was absolutely delicious. My husband and I loved everything about the venue itself.
We signed up for the game package outside thinking that since so many kids would be in attendance it would get used, it wasn't at all. So, unless you really feel like your guests would utilize them, don't worry about it. There's so much to do at the reception I don't feel like there would be time for extra activities.
We hired a wedding planner through the venue as part of our package, I would suggest you find your own through recommendations of people you know!

Magical venue with giant tree, tree lights and drapes with lights added to barn. Reception area comfortably accommodated 200 with corral and pond offering outside space for those needing a breath. Good size floor for dancing. On site planner was not our primary but helped with decor and set up for reception. Bridal dressing area comfortable but a bit tight with 8 getting ready. Having hair and nails done elsewhere before arrival for attendants helped. Grooms quarters was basic and cozy but we understand new ones are on the drawing board. Owner is very accommodating and welcoming, yet not at all intrusive. Offers flexibility for DIY options which allow customization and some budget stretching. On site facility coordinators are now developing turn key planning but that was not an option when we booked the venue. We loved the flexibility of DIY.

I gave this vendor a little shy of 5 stars because there were some thing "missing" after my wedding. My family went back twice after the night of my wedding and looked in every place possible for these items. Magically one day the lady called us and "found" the items. I believe they were taken by someone at the venue. otherwise my experience here was positive. The tree was so beautiful and the area in the house for the bride and bridesmaids was so big and comfortable. plenty of mirrors for everyone. The barn is also great! we had a little shy of 200 people and there was plenty of room for everyone.

For any one who wants to get married outside, this is a beautiful venue. Bo and his staff are very flexible, kind, and professional as I scheduled a few visits/bridal functions last minute. The decorations I used from Bo, the lights in the tree, the doors and cedar arch were absolutely stunning!

I was very pleased with our big weekend and a lot of my guest were very excited, and still talk about how awesome the wedding was.

Absolutely beautiful venue!!!! Bo was extremely helpful from the start any time I called he would help me with anything I needed also he would let me come out there (randomly show up) to measure for my wood arch under the tree. Everything went smoothly, bridal quarters were PERFECT! so much room and private deck in the back to get that fresh air you need!! My only two complaints would be that we couldn't have our rehearsal practice there the day before since they had a wedding on that Friday It was needed because I had a big bridal party All my girls told me it took them awhile to adjust once they got up there because they didn't practice before. Also they could put more signs out on the road to help people find the location. It is a confusing area and they address was 1961 S Pine lake rd. when I sent out my invitations and when I looked at the site closer to my wedding I guess they had someone come out to check because it was 1903 S Pine lake rd. after spending $$$ on my invitations I couldn't redo them. but even after I told some of the guests the new address they still had issues finding it. (Also didn't help I-45 was closed the weekend of my wedding...) But!! seriously those are MINOR complaints because overall I REALLY would recommend this place to any of my friends in the future. I received the best help, service from the owners, and again the venue is amazing. Worth every penny!

I am submitting my review before I've even had the wedding! Pine Lake Ranch is everything I've wanted in a venue. I saw the site 8 months before we even started planning and figured it would be out of our budget. On a whim, I asked my fiance to look at it anyway, because I had to see this tree. Jaime was incredible and so easy to work with and so accommodating, even before we had made a decision. The venue is so flexible! I can't wait to get married here! The bridal suite is spacious and the lake is a perfect place for my fiance and friends to fish and "relax" before the ceremony! I couldn't be more excited to have the perfect tree I've always wanted to get married under!

I had my wedding June 14, 2014 at Pine Lake Ranch. I had always wanted an outside wedding under a giant oak tree, so the first time we saw the venue, the tree sold us instantly. The rest of the venue was stunning as well, albeit not finished, so we received the barn-raising discount for that. Bo (the owner) was very accommodating of my entirely DIY wedding and was there to promptly answer any and all of my phone calls. He even helped us to get an amazing discount on event decorations that were left up from a previous wedding. My only complaint was that some of the ACs were not turned on in time and so one of my cakes completely melted. Thankfully, I had two more, so it ended up working out. No wedding day is completely perfect, but ours was pretty close.
We received so many compliments on the venue, and the uniqueness of our wedding.

We had my daughter's wedding and reception at Pine Lake Ranch this last Saturday, October 24, 2015. Unfortunately it rained, no poured, the entire day and evening and our ceremony had to be moved from the gorgeous outdoor tree to inside the barn. No fault of the venue's there. They went above and beyond to accommodate the necessary changes and helped us put our vision into place. We had very specific ideas and were probably not the easiest to deal with. Jaime at Pine Lake Ranch is superb and truly a gift. She even personally delivered our ferns from the wedding to my home the next day because we were not able to get them all loaded at the end of the night! Above and beyond for sure. The wedding turned out beautiful and my daughter got married!
Pros: All day venue rental - one event per day
Rustic, beautiful and spacious barn
Cons: Not a true "all-inclusive". No banquet services. I had a team of people with me to help deliver, setup and tear down our décor. We worked very hard.
One bar setup was not sufficient to serve 180 guests. Long lines at the bar.
Some recommended vendors were not up to my expectations. I will not slam anyone because the PLR staff really worked hard to help us and in the end, the guests did not complain and everyone loved it. As a paying customer, I was disappointed with our day of wedding coordinator, not a PLR employee, but recommended by them. DJ (also recommended by them and reviewed here also) was not satisfactory. They do provide security and bartenders as part of their package. Just be prepared to work very hard unless you hire a PROFESSIONAL day of wedding coordinator and I need to stress, PROFESSIONAL. Also, be aware that there is no banquet service - so either you need to hire additional service through your caterer to clear tables or you will look at dirty plates all night. This is something I did not know. :(

It is a very beautiful venue and our wedding day could not have turned out any more beautiful. However, leading up to the wedding could be a head ache every now and then. Make sure you know what is written in your contract. There were times I had to quote my contract to them when they told me it would be an extra charge for certain things. I've been told that this happens at every venue though. Just be prepared. All in all I would not have had my wedding anywhere else.

The issues we had were early on because some of the staff changed. After that everything went as planned.

My daughters reception was held at Pine Lake Ranch and it was beautiful. The Oak Tree is magnificent. The barn was a great size for us and the 150 guests. We were trying to save money so my family and friends decorated the barn and cocktail area the night before (from 4-7pm) and then we had the venue available for decorating for the day of the event from 8am-12am.
The only problem I have is that we had to clean out the venue before 12am that night. After a huge wedding day, and all that goes with that, an 11pm clean up is super stressful. It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to finish cleaning on sunday morning, but we were told we had to get everything cleaned out and removed before 12am or we would be charged a large amount of money per minute/hour after midnight. Thankfully, we did it.
All in all we had a lovely and memorable reception.

This place is BEAUTIFUL!! I absolutely loved the location. My issues were with the "wedding package" and the implementation of all the pieces and parts. There were three managers while I planned my wedding here over 9 months. At one point my wedding planner quit working there and no one let me know until I called to ask her a question. I would recommend this place if you were using an outside coordinator from the beginning instead of switching coordinators mid planning. The property and the price of their packages make this place worth the drama I had.

PLR was a really beautiful venue. My husband and I would have chosen no other location because of the tree. Looking back, I liked the convenience of their package, I just wish there were different vendors (DJ really messed up a few things during our wedding).
Besides that, the staff at PLR were really nice and had everything organized for us and didn't have any hiccups!

Let me start off by saying that this venue is absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for a serene, rustic, country getaway not too far from Houston, this place is hard to beat. The bridal "suite" accommodated my huge bridal party with room to spare, the barn area for the reception was specious, yet warm and inviting, and that tree - beautiful! I was really worried about the weather because it had been raining all week but on our special day there was not a dark cloud in the sky. I know our pictures are going to turn out great!

On the other hand, I found the level of service of PLR staff to be disappointing. I ended up going with a few vendors that they didn't recommend or have not worked with in the past, including my wedding coordinator, and was disappointed to find out that they weren't as accommodating to them. The venue's coordinator told me she would be present at the venue and would be willing to help, but she ended up not doing that. Also, they set up the wrong number of tables and chairs in the reception and ceremony area. My groomsmen ended up taking them out of the storage barn and setting them up themselves. So overall, the setup could have gone a little more smoothly if the staff was more helpful, but I guess just keep that in mind before hiring vendors outside of their recommendations.

New owners need some improvement

I personally love the venue, but the new owners “the Kasser’s” were not honest nor were they professional. I scheduled a rehearsal Saturday before my wedding and they had guys working on the floors in the reception area and told me I couldn’t decorate and had to do it the morning of. (My matron of honor had to remind the owner of the contract I had with them to let us decorate)
Out of The renovations they made, a lot didn’t work. The stove is not real and you can’t use it to cook. The ceiling fans in the bridal suite didn’t work so me and my bridesmaids were hot getting ready. And the morning of the wedding were supposed to have access to the venue at 8am and no one showed up until 10am to unlock the gate. So had we followed the owners orders to decorate the day of we would have lost 2 hours already and my wedding was scheduled for 2pm! I originally signed up with Jennifer and Bo the original owner who were really nice and honest and valued their clients. Again, I absolutely love the venue and my wedding was beautiful but things could have went a lot smoother.

The venue is beautiful, and that is about the only good thing about it! Advice: make sure anything they say you can use in your wedding you get in writing we spent a lot of money they fired the lady that made all the arrangements and said we could use thing Feb. 1st my wedding was Feb. 27th! I talked with the lady that took over and the owner and they said they would honor everything the original lady had said and they did up until the day of the wedding when all of a sudden he had no idea what I was talking about and said he never promised it and it would be wasting him money, I would not have had a problem with buying things like my runners but he said he would provide and then the day of changed his mind I was furious and there was nothing I could do at that point!
