We asked Jamie to be the photographer for our recent wedding reception (we got married several weeks before the party). Jame was on time, visible without interrupting the party, and did a good job capturing our event. We wouldn't hesitate to call Jamie again. -

I had such high hopes
I had great conversations with Jamie when she was able to return phone calls. So there were times where I had questions but had to wait days for response. But I was okay with that thinking she was working. Fast forward to my wedding, while I thought she was capturing the greatest day of my life due to the structure of the building there was a large pole in the center of the venue that she did not shoot around so and most of my pictures it looked like I was marrying a large glittery Pole. When photographing the wedding party she was unprepared with a lookbook that we had to spend valuable time flipping through to find what poses we thought were nice. I was very disappointed but has such high hopes based on our conversations and her website. -

Very poor. stay away!!
Stay away from photographer Jamie Velasquez
I recently posted for a photographer for taking pictures for my kids and picked Jamie Velasquez from the list of people who responded to my post. We had a session this Saturday and she did a very bad job on shooting pics. The studio she booked does not have any backdrops or settings to shoot kids other than walls and windows. No focus on the object for portrait shots and when I said the shots don’t look like portrait she blocked me on messenger this morning. Arrived 20 mnts late for an hour session. Charged high for no quality making us drive to downtown from canton and kept us waiting with 2 kids.
Very bad service for the price!! -

BRIDES BEWARE! ZERO STARS!!!
I found this photographer on thumbtack. We selected her based on her competitive prices and the photos on her website, which she directed me to. Two weeks before our wedding I found out that some of the photographs on her page were stock photographs and not her own. When I questioned her about, she lied and said they were. After further investigation, I discovered they came from the web design page, wix.com! Once confronted again, she removed some of the photos and insisted that I would not receive my deposit back! She sent me a link to her actual photos, which looked nothing like the stock photos she used on her page. Needless to say, I was devastated and shocked to have this happen so close to my wedding day! After reminding her of her dishonesty and misrepresentation of her work, she then agreed to refund my deposit, which took several weeks to receive. Dealing with this vendor, was definitely like a box of chocolates, you have no idea what you will get! I was so fortunate to be able to secure one of the best photographers in the area after this fiasco and for that, I will forever be grateful. Potential brides, please beware! You get what you pay for! -
