Excellent!

Absolutely wonderful Photog! Would absolutely work with Wendy again. The engagement photos and the wedding photos were excellent. Always understanding of our shifting plans due to COVID and made it work for what ended up being an incredibly small wedding. She even got us photos of some things in the area we got married in after she found out how important the area was to my husband. Lovely person through and through and incredibly talented.

We love Wendy!

Wendy was so much fun to work with! She’s very knowledgeable and has been doing photography and photoshop for years. We can’t wait to see our wedding photos and she even included a metal print along with our album and digital prints! Phenomenal person

Wendy was absolutely phenomenal! She captured every important moment and ones that my husband and I never would have thought of. Both Wendy and her assistant, Mike, felt like old friends, they just made us feel so comfortable. Between her and her assistant we have so many beautiful pictures to remember our wedding day from, I could not be happier. On a more personal note my nephew, who acted as ring bearer, is four years old and high functioning Autistic and very curious both Wendy and Mike were amazing with him, explain how the cameras work and showing him what everything looks like. You could not ask for a better person to photograph your wedding!

Fantastic, Super Energetic & Professional

I cannot day enough wonderful things about Wendy and her team. Our engagement photos were absolutely amazing and Wendy made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The closer we got to our wedding day, Wendy was there to help us with timelines and to discuss particular shots and suggestions for our formal pictures. On the big day, she and her team were extremely professional and were pros when dealing with our extended families. We got the pictures back and honestly could not be happier! Go and meet with Wendy, I guarantee you that you’ll feel an instant connection with her. She’s great and her work speaks for itself.

We love Wendy!

Searching for a photographer so we headed to a wedding expo & we were drawn to Wendy. Her personality & her gorgeous pictures won us over! She made us feel so comfortable even when we felt awkward. Such a Great Experience!

We had Wendy for our wedding photographer and couldn't be more pleased with her services! From the planning to the day of the wedding she was always a phone call or text away! I don't even know where to start or how I could adequately express my gratitude, appreciaton, and sincere thankfulness that I chose Wendy to photograph my wedding. I'll start by saying she comes prepared. My day had an overcast, some mild wind, and later rain and Wendy utilizied every element looking for that perfect shot rather than settling for the photos we have all seen in every single wedding album. Instead of simply relying on candids to fulfill her obligations while it rained at night, Wendy was scouting locations for some of the most beautiful, original shots I've ever seen. She would seek us out and ask us if we were up for another idea she stumbled upon and each time the photos were more breathtaking than then previous.

She has a meticulous eye for details like catching an off-centered tie and trains being laid out properly for each picture. Wendy truly cares about the quality of service you receive and definitely makes you feel special.

I highly recommend using Wendy as your photographer for your wedding because she is professional, attentive, and reliable.

We met Wendy during a bridal expo a couple of years before our wedding date. We instantly loved her photography style and those gorgeous metal print photographs! Wendy was so pleasant and positive that we knew that we needed to work with her! It was a fantastic choice. Once we saw our engagement photos, we were even more excited for the wedding. Our special day could not have been smoother. Wendy has such an eye for beautiful photo setups. She and her staff were constantly snapping photos! It was the best experience to work with her. I could not imagine having a better team for our wedding!

My Fiancé and I are thrilled to have Wendy as our photographer!!! She works with you and does amazing work! Not to mention how sweet she is! There is a first for everything, and this was our first wedding. Planning can be stressful, but w/ Wendy and her team by your side everything just slows down and she helps you enjoy the moments. Our venue was Whispering Pines - Wendy and her team have experience at pretty much every venue in the near by area. & It showed at Whispering Pines, they saw a great shot at every turn. I can not wait to get our photo's back, and we get all of them (which is not so common) . + We get to pick out the ones we want printed for the album we will receive not to mention the Single Large Format print on Metal. Wendy was simply amazing, from our first meeting to the engagement shoot to the wedding. She was able to capture every smile, every laugh, every emotion. Wendy and her team were AMAZING! From our engagement shoot Wendy felt more like a friend then anything else. On our wedding day she helped me in ways I never thought I would have needed her help, like getting everyone but my m.o.h and my mom out of the bridal suit so I could get dressed (I never thought the girls would be more worried about themselves then me) Wendy found the coolest places to take our pictures at the reception site. She truly was amazing! And I would recommend her to anyone who will listen.

the numbers and stats column don't have enough high numbers that speak on the works of wendy hewes. the minute we walked into her office, i saw a framed picture that had me sold before we even shook her hand to talk business. her work ethic and attitude overall was very comforting and pleasing to everyone at our event.. and the Photo Booth kept our son and niece very busy with all the props she provided.. lol.. if 101% quality overall is what you are looking for, her pictures her images and especially her vision for painting your perfect pictures for your wedding day event is exactly what you need. hands down the best photographer!!!

There truly are not enough words for me to describe to you how astounding Wendy Hewes is. Wendy was absolutely amazing to work with. She and her assistant were beyond professional and sincerely warm hearted people. Our wedding pictures left me completely speechless when I saw them for the first time. We could not have been happier with choosing Wendy as the photographer for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding in May. She was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer - enthusiastic, energetic, professional and fun to work with. The day of the wedding she and her crew were prompt, efficient, fun and got every beautiful shot, sometimes without us knowing they were there with little or no interruption to the flow of the wedding. Once we got to see the results of her work, we lived the emotions and joy of the day all over again because the beauty and artistry in which Wendy captured the moments of the day were simply amazing. We would highly recommend Wendy Hewes!

In addition to wedding photography, we also had the photo booth set up from Photography by Wendy Hewes. The props were amazing and there was so much to choose from. The staff that assisted our guests with the photo booth were fun and energetic. The guests had a blast with Wendy's photo booth set-up!

You will not regret hiring Wendy Hewes and her team! Not only is she an amazing photographer (as you will see in her portfolio) but she's also an amazing person. You will spend the majority of time on your wedding day with your photographer. It's important to have someone who you will like being around, who has everything under control, and who will make sure you're relaxed and having fun. I found all of this in Wendy and her team. She was genuinely excited for us and made every effort to make sure our day was perfect. Her team seriously knows what they are doing. You won't have to worry about anything! Even our guests commented on how friendly the photographers were and what a good experience they had being around them all night. Wendy is a very talented photographer. She will go out of her way to create exactly the pictures you want.

There are not enough wonderful words to describe Wendy Hewes and her team. I can't stop looking at our wedding photo's - they are so great! When I met Wendy at a local wedding show she won me over with her energetic and authentic personality and the moment I met her I knew she was going to be our wedding photographer. Wendy and her team are absolutely amazing! From the engagement shoot, to the meetings, the photo booth, and the wedding itself, everything was perfect! Wendy and her 2nd photographer, Michael, were all around wonderful. Wendy has a lovely personality, she's silly and kind, warm and a great person to chat with. When it came to the wedding day she was all business. We didn't have any set photo ideas in mind, which could be a pain in the butt. Wendy completely took the reins and her artistic eye to work. We are very grateful for everything she did on and before our wedding day. We can not wait to see our photos, but we are confident they will look as amazing as the other work we have seen by her.

Words cannot explain how grateful my husband and I are that we found Wendy! She has been beyond great to us from day one! From our engagement session all the way to our wedding day she was there every step of the way! Her photography is amazing! Wendy is hands down the best photographer out there. From our first interaction with her till now, we knew Wendy was the person who would capture our day the way we envisioned it. Wendy is a wonderful person and truly loves her job. My husband and I met with a couple of photographers before meeting with Wendy and we knew as soon as we met her she was the one for us. She was the only one that made us feel comfortable and really understood us. Wendy did an amazing job with our Engagement Photos as well as our Wedding Photos. She has an amazing artistic eye and her attention to detail is phenomenal.

The day of our wedding Wendy was amazing! She and her team were able to manage everyone, take pictures of everyone we wanted pictures with, and were nowhere near intrusive. When we received our photos we couldn’t believe how beautiful they came out. Not only did she capture our love on our wedding day, she captured the love that surrounded us by all of our family and friends. When looking at the pictures we could tell that Wendy went through every individual photo and picked it with a fine tooth comb, which was really something we valued (my husband had a giant zit on his forehead).

We also used Wendy’s photobooth. I HIGHLY recommend using hers if you want one. The props were so amazing that our guests were even wearing the props on the dance floor. They were definitely not the typical props you see in a photobooth. What we loved the most about the photobooth was the scrapbook we received the night of the wedding. All of our guests got to keep a copy of their pictures and put on in a scrapbook and write their well wishes for us. My husband and I died of laughter looking at all of the pictures and seeing all the fun our guests had with the photobooth.

Wendy is absolutely amazing! At our first meeting we could tell this is truly her passion! She made our entire photography experience easy and fun. She and her assistants had great ideas at both our engagement shoot and wedding! We also rented one of her photo booth and it was a total hit!! Our guests whose ages ran from 1 to 80 all took a turn and had some great laughs in the booth. The amount of props they provided was unbelievable and the staff was there to help put together some of the funniest ensembles we've ever seen! Looking at all of the photo booth pictures in our guestbook was a great way to end our wedding night! I can't thank Wendy and her team enough for all their hard work!

Wendy and her team photographed our wedding on 9/21/13 and they are amazing! Above and beyond does not even begin to explain their work ethic! From helping me get dressed (my bridesmaids disappeared at the most inopportune time) to driving me to the venue (the transportation company sent a vehicle that was too small), they were there to make sure our day was PERFECT! I recommend Photography by Wendy Hewes without hesitation. She is kind, genuine, and talented. My wedding pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined. There aren't just one or two great shots -- there are hundreds of amazing shots. Plus with Wendy you get a whole photography team! She brought a second photographer (who is a professional photographer, NOT someone just learning the business) and an assistant. The result: we got pictures of absolutely everything that was a fantastic mix of out of this world photojournalism and stunning formal portraits. And we got all of this for a really excellent value. First off, I NEED to say that WENDY and her TEAM was ABSOLUTELY the BEST! From the very start my husband and I were looking for a photographer who made us feel comfortable but yet could take us out of our comfort zone with ease. When we met with Wendy to discuss our vision on what we were looking to achieve with our engagement session and wedding she listened and gave great ideas with what could work for us and our locations. Her packages that she offered were very reasonable and worked with our budget nicely. Her artistic eye was clearly the key for the way our fabulous pictures turned out!Wendy is a sweet and honest women and so was her team. At the wedding Wendy and her staff was never in the way of any of our guests to get the a picture, yet from what they were able to capture it looked like they hip checked everyone out of their way! On a more serious note, the pictures Wendy and her team had taken were breath taking moments in time. When we look at the pictures we have we are taken back to that very second and we know that in many years to come, every time we look at our album we will have those same emotional reactions. By the end of the wedding she was no longer our photographer but our friend and felt like part of the family. Her services that provided us with were; an engagement session, before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, pictures of the wedding party (at another location) and the reception. We also had used their photobooth which hands down was great -- all the children AND the adults loved it! Wendy's staff whom was running the booth was great, all my guests loved them and their enthusiasm. They were even able to get the people who didn't want to go in the booth, in!! SO, if you want a company who is going to care about your wedding or special occasion as much as you do, do yourself a favor and look in to Photography by Wendy Hewes!
On a quick side note, my husband says "She's awesome, end of discussion."

If you want the best , the most professional, the kindest photographer wendy is for you! every day I look back I my wedding I have tears of joy in my eyes. Wendy made my wedding day more beautiful the I could have ever imagined she devoted her whole day to my husband and I. We had a small wedding but she made it huge for us . Wendy is now on my speed dial for any event I need photography for and she will work with anyone even on a small budget she is there for u and makes u feel like u are family she made my husband and I feel like her own kids and was there for us when we needed her and her assistant don't even get me started made me smile all day .

Wendy was AWESOME! My daughter was married 7/28/2012 and Wendy worked with her and was so Professional, Flexible and just a super person. Her prices were Awesome and when I had a question or my daughter, Wendy responded back quickly and answered every question. She is so well organized, we had no worries about how the photography was going to go on that day. Wendy was flexible around meeting with my daughter's schedule. Wendy was amazing through the entire process. Not only did she work with my budget but gave me her entire day. My guest even commented on how amazing the photographers were. They were taking picutures everywhere you turned. I made her travel around Providence from India Point Park to Downtown to Waterfire. There was never a complaint and she never rushed me. I also was given Engagement pictures as a bonus which came out so well we used them as part of the wedding table decorations. I was very impressed and she was worth every penny!

I met Wendy at a bridal fair almost two years before my wedding and knew she was the photographer for us. My Matron of honor was writing notes on every vendor we met and under Wendy she wrote "Fun, Creative, Great personality and really listened to us".. the most she wrote all day. I work in television so I am sort of a visual snob... I know what I like and I know I wanted our photos to be different from the standard shots you see. Wendy delivered! She listened to all my ideas and found ways to make them even more creative and knew what I was trying to achieve. She did our engagement photos and went to three separate spots over Newport and went above and beyond. She makes you feel like you and your spouse are the only people around. I hate my picture taken and I can't stop looking at our pics! Her two assistants, Nick and Vicky are amazing to work with as well. Wendy was a joy to have as a wedding photographer! She did our engagement photos and the wedding and both sets of photos came out beautiful!! We were married at Newport Naval Base, Newport RI ... Wendy and her team were amazing!!

Choosing a photographer for your wedding can be very stressful, especially if you have little experience with professional photography.
She was extremely down to earth, and kind. She was creative, and sensitive.. We could not have chosen a better fit for us. She interacted well with the guests at our wedding, and she was immediately loved by us, and our family.

The price of her service was flexible, and fair. We recieved everything that she promised and MORE! I could call her today and ask for a print or disc, and she would deliver it promply!! I wouldn't consider calling anyone else for photography.. I would recommend her for any photography services, events or wedding.

Thank God for Wendy. A true port in a storm! Michael and I met Wendy at the Bridal Expo at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. We were desperate to find a photographer with only six weeks before our wedding!

Wendy customized a package just for us; within our meager budget.

Wendy listened to us when we said we didn't want traditional pictures. Our wedding was more than a wedding day, it was a double family reunion of sorts. So many people living so far apart had come together for our day, we wanted family photos rather than the usual "party" photos. This would be a rare opportunity for pictures of everyone together all at one time. Knowing this probably wouldn't happen again, Wendy made sure we will have photos to last a lifetime...not just for us, but for all our family members!

Her staff/assistants were attentive and personable. There were times that we didn't even know they were taking our pictures! Many of our guests commented to us that they were so easy to work with.

Michael and I can't thank Wendy enough and would recommend her to anyone.

Wendy did our engagement shoot as well as our wedding day photos. She is super easy going and had us laughing right away which made us feel super comfortable. Great work but Poor Communication

I wish I could recommend Wendy Hewes to everyone but I can’t. It honestly breaks my heart that her lack of communication has made my experience with her so poor. She has great work and wonderful enthusiasm for what she does. However her lack of communication with my husband and I over the 3+ years that we’ve had to work with her has turned our attitude about her negative. We met Wendy back in 2018 at a wedding show when I immediately loved her passion & work and knew I wanted her to be our photographer. She did our engagement photos and that’s when the lack of communication started. It took months for us to hear anything about the photos and even get them back after she told us it would only be a couple weeks. From there we had a year and a half before our wedding which takes us to now. It’s a year and a couple months AFTER our wedding and we have not even received our wedding album. We have tried to reach out via email multiple times over the course of a couple months and tried calling (left voicemails) with no response.
